For my birthday I decided to try out the Twenty 8 Grille. I thought it was at the Dye but come to find out it was at The Hills location. I was pleasantly surprised at how tender the Pork Steak was, friendly the staff was, and enjoyed the music selection. Overall, I had a great experience and I will be back.

If you are looking for an event space in McKinney with 5 Star service, this is your place! We had a 50th Anniversary party here and it turned out amazing. I could not have asked for a better team to work with. The food was all on point and on time. The bartenders and service team were at the top of their game. Great job Sarah and team! I join SBR Hills in 2017 and have been disappointed every year since and have stayed in the hopes that things would improve, but they havent and have only gotten worse. I recently resigned and am moving to Hurrican Creek in Anna, due the course being in MUCH BETTER shape and lower monthly dues. Here is a summary of reasons for leaving; 1) Poor course conditions... most greens have dry rot and weeds. They claim its the weather, but several othwr courses with Bent Grass greens are in awesome shape! 2) Atrocious service in bar area and pool! You can wait 15 min for someone to acknowledge you at a table in the bar... forget it when youre outside on the patio. 3) Extreme fees to play tournaments in Mens Golf Assoc. with winners only in NET. How are low handicappers supposed to have a chance to win with all the sandbaggers gaming the system!? Charge 100 to play a course Im already paying to play, with no real chance of placing???? 4) 20% service fee automatically charged for bar/restaurant and it doesnt ALL go to the waiters/waitresses... No wonder they cant keep good help! Great to see Invited exploit their members and employees! Lastly... Craig (GM) has been attentive to our complaints, but hes one person. Mens Club President hasnt addressed complaints, Superintendent/Greens keeper are sub-standard, yet management doesnt address poor course conditions. This club seems to be a money grab for invited because over 5 yrs... NOTHING HAS CHANGED!

So disappointing to be a member of this course right now. Such a great layout for golf yet so poorly maintained and mis-managed. Large areas of the rough are brown (dormant or dead) from either never being watered or on broken water pump systems. There are several broken irrigation heads that haven t been fixed for months, a couple of these areas are in play and are either left unmowed or mowed and left a muddy mess for weeks. BUT THE BEST PART THE GREENS. On the two open 9s, members have the privilege of playing on a premium mixed media blend of mold, sand, and at least 3 varieties of grass, including unhealthy bent, islands of Bermuda and flourishing goose grass (which offer a challenging Plinko effect unique to the Hills course). The prevailing excuse has been the heat, which sounds reasonable unless you have happened to recently play Prestonwood (Creeks) which has perfect bent grass greens right now. They didn t look the least bit stressed (and not a fan on property according to their GM). Must be a micro climate there. Invited - please do better for Hills golf members.

Weve been members for a few years now. The service was a work in progress. They are definitely on the right track. Service is amazing and with a smile. The food is out of this world. My husband had the pork chop (huge pork chop) and I had the Salmon. Everything was cooked to perfection.

Visited from out of town and was lucky enough to play here. Food and beverage was awesome, property is well taken care of! I am a current member and the condition of this course is horrible. I played a public course today that had incredible greens compared to our course. We are supposed to have 27 holes but 9 of the holes have been shut down because they lost the greens. I have brought a few guests out to play and have been embarrassed at what they had to pay to play with me. Do not waste your hard earned money to come here until they find management that knows how to take care of a course. It was hot everywhere in Texas this year and is not an excuse for the way everything looks. They insist on having bentgrass greens and obviously have no clue how to take care of them. Guess what it s gonna be hot in Texas every year! As everyone else mentioned everything is overpriced as well and the food is average at best. If you see any 4 and 5 star reviews they are not accurate and are most likely a bot. I could go on and on about this but just Save your money and go somewhere else!

Fraudulent Reviews??? Anyone have the time to research and report reviews by Staff of the Club? 40% dues increase 1/1/22, worst golf club experience Ive had in 50+ - yes 50+ years. Club Management seems to be trying to get members to leave with TERRIBLE course conditions, insane food and beverage pricing($14 for chips and salsa), and dismissive responses to customer complaints. GM doesnt seem to care enough to even say Hello to me the last #250 times Ive been at the club. I cant believe anyone would consider joining!!!

Buyer Beware, totally agree that this is the worst value in DFW! Take this from a full golf member of almost 30 years that lives on the course with private cart, this club and course has gone downhill! It s a shame, as it used to be a club we were all proud of - but no more as corporate greed and neglect have taken over. If you see any positive reviews with more than 2 stars this year, then they must be fake or from bots. Golf positives are the instruction and junior golf programs have significantly improved in recent years, driving range has improved, strong MGA and great members. The only F&B positive is that the food has drastically improved, however F&B pricing is insane. Longtime members are leaving in droves, and I may be next, as club leadership and Invited/ClubCorp have continued to raise dues, cart fees, and F&B prices (similar to going to a Cowboys game type pricing), while delivering a substandard country club experience. The course is in the worst condition ever, and the bent grass greens are just awful. And now it will take years to replace all 27 holes. I d be embarrassed to bring out a guest, even at 1/4 the inflated prices. It s really a shame, as for many years we had an excellent course & club, with great bent grass greens, that we were all proud to play. If you are looking for golf course conditions worse than most muni courses, difficulty getting tee times, a dismissive management team that won t listen and fix problems, a revolving door of employees, and to pay through the nose with ridiculous prices across the board - then this is the club for you! The GM and management team have proven with their actions, all they seem to care about is taking your hard earned money without any regard to long term members who ve literally spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to the club. Most longtime golf members have reached their boiling point, after years of being taken advantage of by this club and it s ownership.

I m currently a member, and I say currently because I might not be much longer. The course is in horrible condition and the management refuses to fix any issues brought up by members . Food is overpriced and beverages especially are absolutely ridiculously priced($8.50 for a beer). You are charged a 20% service charge on every bill at the restaurant which makes the servers not care about customer service because they know they are already getting a tip. Last time we ate there we waited 25 mins just for a drink and 1 hour for a kids meal. I noticed that this club has a 4.2 rating but almost all of the 5 star reviews are either from bots or people who get paid to review sites even if they have never been there. Almost every 5 star review is from people who are not members. This club should be a 1 maybe a 2 star rating.

27 years a member, no words can adequately describe how little this place now resembles a country club. The course conditions are actually worse than the images shared by others posted in recent weeks, have been this way for the better part of a year.. Green complexs would take at least a year to recover if they were to begin rebuilding them today, something they intend to take another 3 years to complete. Other club amenities and service are not in line with an actual country club experience, good luck with a tee time, better chance at a local municipal course which will be in much better condition. Buyer beware, find a place where the member matters, do not waste your hard earned money here.

Long time member here - the members are fed up and no longer sitting silently. The course is overcharging their membership for one of the worst maintained courses in all of DFW. The membership (Hills course only) with a cart plan is just under $1,000 per month. Keep in mind this is BEFORE you buy an $8 beer (after they add in your service fees etc) or a $30 dinner that will come out late and probably cold (and definitely incorrect). What was once the best club in Collin county because of the great community and fun golf course has now become the very example of club corps/inviteds greed and lack of caring about their members. This place is an absolute disaster and I would encourage anyone considering joining to go elsewhere and for the members still standing now is the time to jump ship. THEY DONT CARE! The rates keep going up and the quality keeps plummeting.

I ve been a member for roughly 5 years. It s a great group of guys at this club. It s what keeps you coming back. The loss of our pro about a month ago is starting to take it s toll. Staff does the very best it can with rather poor leadership. GM wrote his own review here, prompting to write my own. Forget getting an early tee time. Invited s (ClubCorp) online tee system has been compromised and they do not seem motivated to make any improvements. Add this to the club being grossly oversold and you have a very upset membership. Course is starting to fade due to the issues listed above. Hopefully they will start listening to a very loyal group of true golf fans before this club falls any further. I don t think they know how great it could be with less focus on the other Stonebridge club taking priority.

Try to make a golf reservation 7 days in advance (the maximum time in advance that you can make a reservation) and theres never anything available before 3 pm (and this is in the middle of December). There are two things going on: (1) too many memberships have been sold; and (2) members are manipulating the online booking system (members who routinely play in groups are each sitting in front of their computers and securing 4 different tee times when they are only going to use one and they will drop the others at the last minute). You cannot effectively use the membership if you cannot get on the course.

This property is great! I was at Stonebridge Ranch for a Christmas party for my job. Like most you dont wanna go but glad you went. But Stonebridge is great...Ive been to many country clubs before and they were magnificent. But this place for what i saw was small...but quaint. Attentive but not in your face all the time...you barely notice that they are there. The food was great for buffet style. Be beef was marvelous...the whole property was clean and well kept. It was night so i didnt get to see the whole property but for what i saw it was great...and i hear the courses are good but a bit slow. 4 outta 5 is my vote. If there was attention to detail...7 outta 10. But it was a Christmas party...detail comes with a cost. (So if money aint a thang) this place is great...for any small event...its still a great place for whatever you choose.

I went with a group of people to eat at their restaurant and it was definitely a mixed experience. The staff was friendly but it took a very long time to get our drinks and food which was odd considering our group were literally the only people there. Everyone had mixed reviews with their food. I had the Chicken Raman and I thought it was ok but half of our group had legitimate complaints about their food or they were also out of several ingredients so it made it tricky to order.

The pools are great. We are members because of the pools. They get 5 stars. Food is just ok. The buffet is fun. Not sure about the golf courses. You can never get anyone to return your call when you need them. We have been trying to make changes on our membership for months.

I called and ask the hours of this place and they wouldnt even give me the hours and told me they couldnt give me that information. Then she started to anyway when I asked what the secret on hours was. Then she started to tell me and then stopped and said she needed to call back but obviously didnt want to share the hours. Honestly whats the big deal? She said because I wasnt a member she couldnt tell me. How can you become a member without even knowing hours? And who would want to be a member with unfriendly staff? I thought it was very rude. I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you like people who cant even tell you the hours of operation.

Golf was great. However the new floors in the bathrooms along the course are very dangerous. When wet they are VERY slippery. A bad accident waiting to happen
