I have going here for 9 months since January and I have felt comfortable here. Im homeless but they treat me like everyone else. They have programs for homeless like reduced pricing on membership. Everyone at the YMCA are awesome. Also if anyone is looking for work they have programs to help with that and they are currently in need of lifeguards. I recommend the Amon Carter YMCA anyone.

The programs for a senior citizen like me are such that we know people have put great thought Into them. It becomes a nice place for us to meet socially, which we also need. I love the Potluck lunches, and especially when they have speakers or people to demonstrate things.

ASHRON Best customer service. I went to mcart location for 1st time service was bad on Monday June 17. Today June 18, Lamar location let me tell you Ashron seen me a little confused and she offered help and took me for a tour. Explained all she could at her best knowledge. Made us feel comfortable and this will now be my location.

THE POOL IS CLOSED !!!! The pool is currently closed and has been for 6 weeks and is totally inaccessible for use and has no known schedule date for reopening. This is the second time in 6 months that the pool has been closed for months. Things happen, but the lack of communication on whether the pool is open or closed should be posted online to stop waste and show respect for current and prospective members. THE POOL IS CLOSED !

Hands down, the best gym in the world! They have excellent customer service, amenities, facilities, and a track. Membership is definitely worth it. One issue: parking is sometimes confusing and inconvenient.

This YMCA location is very dedicated to the needs of individuals seeking the best possible lifestyle for themselves. In regards to healthy living, eating, exercise routine, childcare, building self esteem, keeping the youth engaged in participating in activities during school breaks such as the holidays throughout the school year, spring break & summer! It s been a very important step in my personal development of a healthy life! The hot tub has been out of order for over a month. I love doing the water aerobics class and soaking in the hot tub before and after class. I have circulation issues and muscle issues that only get relief from the hot water tub. It is to far to drive to other pools with hot tubs.

I love going to the YMCA as a family. You offer so many activities and various classes. We love the pool area, but our daughter loves the cycling classes. Either way it is great for the price we pay for the family. Definitely recommend this place to everyone.

Do not recommend for swim lessons. Earlier this summer I paid for and scheduled private swim lessons for my daughter at the downtown ymca location. The first day we arrived a little early because we had no prior communication/instructions on what to do, where to go, or who to speak to. Upon arriving, a lifeguard informed me that there was no instructor to teach the evening classes as they were having issues with scheduling. From there I rescheduled her to the northwest location and proceeded with her lessons there. The northwest location was very unorganized and gave my daughter 3 different instructors who taught her all the same thing with no advancement even though I could see she was doing extremely well. They never gave me feedback or spoke to me about her progress after her lessons, they would just walk away. During her last lesson we spoke to someone at the front desk and they informed us that what we experienced was wrong and they did not follow their guidelines. I was given an email address for Samantha Ridge and a gentleman J. Inguanzo. I emailed both parties multiple times as well as made phone calls to Samantha. I never received back any communication from either manager. Every time I would call I was told she was in her office yet she was not answering or returning my calls. I also left messages. More emails begging for help and/or a response. My daughter has absolutely no idea how unprofessional and unorganized the ymca has been, and she truly enjoyed her lessons. Because of this we chose to give it another try and scheduled her for lessons this week and next week. I decided to call beforehand this morning and not to my surprise, she didn t answer. I had to call back and demand to speak with a manager after expressing that it was important I speak to ANYONE that could help me. She informed me that their evening instructor told them yesterday, they could no longer teach evenings. Had I not called, I would have WASTED MY TIME AND MONEY YET AGAIN because they do not know how to communicate. I can genuinely say after my interaction with Samantha, she does not care. I told her I have been calling and emailing for weeks and she had nothing to say. I ve been in customer service for over 10 years and the way I, a paying and patient customer have been treated is absolutely despicable. This woman should not be a manager and the YMCA should not be offering private swim lessons if they cannot efficiently provide services. We have WASTED our money and will never be returning or recommending the YMCA. Horrible experience!!!

What do we love about the YMCA Daycare? The discipline. The teachers take the time to really understand each student and connect with the scholar and parent. Everyone at the program serves with excellence. My daughter ranked highest in her Kindergarten class after being in the daycare. Later in the year in Kindergarten, she was tested for gifted and talented and passed with flying colors. The reason is because she had a strong foundation built by the teachers at the Downtown Fort Worth YMCA along with parental support and her excitement for learning, which the YMCA teachers encouraged and nurtured. My Son is now going through the same program and we see positive results, as well. I highly recommend and strongly encourage parents to place their young ones in a YMCA daycare or pre-k program.

Great gym with awesome amenities. Many things could be updated, but I like the location and enjoy walking to dinner after a workout. Great updated pool area with many lanes. I wish they d be open at least until 9pm. I m not sure why they changed the hours.

The swimming pool is a great size and easy way to stay fit. Be sure to look up times online because the pool is used for lessons and other things as well. The spa is warm, bubbly, very relaxing and healing. Be sure to rinse up before hand in the shower, bring your swimming goggles and have fun!

It was a wonderful experience for our children. They read, played and swam in a safe environment. They were challenged to make new friends and not sit in front of a screen all summer. I work full time so the summers can be hard but the YMCA is providing a great and affordable way for my children to spend their summer.

This place is very near and dear to me and it is painful to write this review. Ive been going here for DECADES and actually worked here for a couple of summers years ago. Not sure who is to blame here but wars are lost by poor leadership, not poor soldiers. The pool area is absolutely a disaster. Lifeguards continue to not show up all the time. Twice this week, and its only Tuesday. The pool has not been vacuumed in months and there is black residue under lane ropes. Tile on the walkways have not been scrubbed in a very long time and has all kinds of dirt/residue on it. Had an associate I know working out there that left because of cleanliness. She said the same hairball had been in the ladies changing area showers for weeks. Cant comment on that personally, but the mens room is the same. PJ at the front desk is absolutely amazing! He takes care of business and actually remembers your name. Great follow up and a really great guy! Really hope he stays. Im writing this in the hopes that management will correct some of these issues. This could be the shining star of downtown!

My child, Solomiia, has been attending the school for some time now and the progress she has made is truly remarkable. When we first enrolled her, she had no prior experience with the English language, but now she speaks fluently on the level of a 3-year-old child. This is a testament to the schools commitment to providing an immersive and interactive learning experience that caters to each childs individual needs. The school has a wonderful community, and Solomiia has made many friends. The teachers are professional, knowledgeable and dedicated, providing a wide range of activities and learning opportunities that keep the children engaged and excited about learning. The school has a diverse range of activities, from art, music, and science to sports and physical activities, that provide a well-rounded education for the children. The school also focuses on the development of social skills and emotional intelligence, which are essential for childrens overall well-being. I am very picky with who I leave my children with but I tell everyone who has kids, this is the best day care in DFW, hands down and the most affordable!! My sister loved this daycare for her baby (age 1 to K!), my nephew was doing so well, she loved the teachers and the staff and so I decided to try it out. 5 stars is not enough. The ladies who watch our kids treat them with love, respect, & care. My now 5 year old comes home knowing how to write, spell, pick up after himself. He was learning to write and spell at 3. He was blessing his meal with cute prayers we never taught him <3. They teach the kids respect & doing for themselves instead of expecting an adult to do everything for them. Ms Dee and Ms Terry are so sweet but I also love & appreciate that they dont let these little 5 year olds get away with much. When they see bad behavior, they kindly correct it, all the kids respect them and those lessons are just as important if not more important than an education to me. You can give a child an education but if he doesnt have a strong foundation in respect and kindness, the child & the parent (& the future teachers!) will suffer for it. Mechell is lovely, love saying hello to her. Kiana, Ms Melanie, the other Ms. Dee...Im so appreciative for all their care & dedication. I never leave my son and feel anxious, which is priceless and Ive definitely had to feel that way at other daycares. Hes safe, hes cared for, hes loved. I like that the daycare is in a lower level, safer for tornadoes, and is well hidden and protected from any outdoor threats. People have to go through 2 security doors in order to get in the daycare center and they vet everybody who comes in. The kiddos get outdoor play time every day or at least plenty of playtime in the gym if the weather is bad. (My son is now a basketball pro, thanks a lot to all that play!) I hope to donate a small amount once a month after this year when my baby goes to school because I want this place to stay open and bless other families. My daughter in law is due at the end of May and I already let her know, this is where shell want to go!!!

I love that the teachers are student-focused and provide as much autonomy as my children need to feel empowered and independent. They are attentive, communicative, and responsive. My kiddos are usually happy to go here, and they are learning at a rapid rate without it being overwhelming for them. I trust these amazing educators, and we have been blessed to have found them.

Good luck canceling membership. They can sign you up at front desk but cant cancel membership. I did everything they asked to cancel. Finally switched payment to virtual credit card and refused payment on that card number Not that this isnt a great gym I have been member for over 20 years. This episode leaves bad taste in my mouth.

Let me start of by saying the staff here is amazing and deserve 6 stars! However was very disappointed to hear the policy change in guest passes where you can no longer pay $10/day. My wife and i arent around the Fort Worth area consistently and paying $10 for each of us or visit was a great flexible way for us to workout. We will be forced to look somewhere else.

I have always felt at home at this YMCA, yea though Ive had the pleasure of spending time at multiple Ys nationwide. I think the history of the facility, the old running track that is suspended over the weight workout area, the pool and the locker rooms that have stood the test of time, show this to be a fantastic facility.

YMCA Sundance Summer Camp 2019 was a perfect way for my 11 yo son to spend his summer. I had to work, so it was really nice to drop my son off conveniently near my office and know he was excited to go and having a great time! The counselors were engaged, fun and personable. I m not sure we have ever experienced such a wonderful staff anywhere. I liked that they kept the kids busy with creative activities, fun camp songs, great field trips, but they also were able to have some unstructured time to just hang out in the youth zone. Friends and memories were made and when asked how his summer was recently, he responded that it was awesome! . Thanks YMCA Sundance!

So my father and I just joined this YMCA a couple of days ago. It has a lot of good equipment, but the main thing that makes it is the staff. Im a swimmer for a high school and so I come here after work to swim for the summer. Yesterday the pool was closed down and I went back upstairs to get my shoes so I can work out with my dad. I realize that I forgot them and went back downstairs to the pool area. Ms. Donna was sitting down eating her dinner for the twenty minutes the pool was down for. I just sat down and started talking to her. It was the most delightful conversation that I have had in a while and it was nice to talk to someone about something but work. People would come in and get mad because the pool was down, but not many people understand what chlorine does to your body if theres too much. I personally think yall should give her a raise because she is one of the sweetest people Ive ever met. Thank you Ms. Donna for talking to a girl and brightening up her day.

I wasnt going to leave a review since this incident happen a while back but its still bothers me to this day. Ive been going to this place on and off since I was young and remember it being a great environment. So now as an adult I decided to go back and it was great until my EXPENSIVE earphones were stolen. I had accidentally left them on a machine because they were dead and proceeded to work out. I had realized I left them maybe 30 minutes into my workout, I ran back to the machine I was first on and they were gone. I assumed they would still be there seeing that the place was somewhat empty, I start asking employees but they werent taking it seriously so I asked for a manager and nothing was done. The manager didnt offer to look on the cameras to see if maybe an employee picked it up or it was actually stolen. I guess my reason for writing this review is to give me peace of mind and still being bothered by how the employees acted and the whole situation in general.

Great variety! My family and I have been members of the YMCA for a few years now. My boys love going to the gym and having the different options available at the Y. I am very thankful I chose the Y as my exercise facility :)

I like the experience but when you have adult swimming, you need one on one time with the trainer. Not enough trainers for the adult class when its full

No hangups, come as you are! The facility may be small compared to other workout facilities but it is well maintained and CLEAN! I have been a member of several other gyms (which act like its a hassle you entered) and I will be resigning with the Y soon. Great staff at the counter. Knowledgeable about their facilities and the programs offered. Always clean-from the workout rooms to the locker rooms. Pool is always clean and safe. Why did I ever leave?

We love the summer camp! Miss Yvette runs a tight ship and did an excellent job in hiring her counselors! My daughter loves every one of them. And thats saying a lot for a child!
