Place is a bit of a hidden gem. Absolutely loved it, as they have a few incredible and historic planes: one of the F-5 Tigers used in the original Top Gun and the second prototype F-16. Of course, there are also impressive planes such as F-14, F-111, F-4 and F-18. Truly recommend it! Shout out to Erik, lady and co-workers! :)

Incredible museum. I strongly recommend coming here if you are in the area. They have such a wide collection of retired Aircraft, models, and toys. They have a full on cockpit which you can hop in. We had a blast there even though it was really hot. Please, show them support and come and visit. Also, we were given a tour and guidance by a very friendly veteran, even though we didn t ask! (Owner of the museums account, if you read this, could you please reply what the name was of the museum guide on Sunday August 4th, we really want to personally thank him. Thank you)

What an AMAZING opportunity to explore Aviation history and its influence on Ft Worth! A GREAT shout out to the volunteer Erik for the time he spent with my boys and I, discussing the aircraft and sharing his amazing stories as a veteran. The time we spent with you was an unexpected but very welcomed gift. ALL of us NEED to do what we can to appreciate and thank those that have served, are waiting to serve, made it back or those that have the ultimate sacrifice. By learning the stories and bringing them forth, only then are there hopes of not repeating. Without these brave men and women we wouldnt have the freedoms we enjoy today. Thank you

My husband is really into airplanes. This was a must do in any town we visit. Its the first thing he checks for. This one has active restoration being performed. Well, my husband and son was all about that! The workers were just as excited to talk about and explaining what they had already done and anything else you might have questions about. I think they are more proud of the plane the their kids(kidding). We did get to go into one of the planes and if you are over 14 can fly in them on weekends. There is also a flight simulator to crawl into. There is also a Rosie the riveter display. Dont forget to check that out.

This place is a true gem of a museum. They have a considerable amount of military aircraft to see up close. You re even allowed to touch them as you walk up to them. One plane was a cargo plane that we were allowed to step inside into the cockpit. John was our tour guide and he was phenomenal - very knowledgeable, personable, and passionate about what he does. We couldn t have been more impressed as he helped ensure we had an incredible experience. We didn t expect a guided tour but were very pleased to have been offered one. Fighter jets include the F-14 Tomcat, FA-18 Hornet, the F-4, and much more. There are smaller exhibits of military aircraft history inside as well. There is also a fairly small gift shop, the number of available souvenirs is limited but we were still able to find both a pin and a model of an F-14 to take home, and the gift shop is another great way to support this gem of a museum.

My 14-year-old son and I absolutely geeked out over the aircraft. I had only recently learned about the OV-10 Bronco, and to have the chance to really touch and see multiple versions, as well as the original mock-up, was a treat. We were surprised by the amount of warfighters that were there, and though we showed up to just meander about, we were met outside by Mike and received a full tour of the aircraft and their heritage. Angela provided her personal history on her fathers service--Medal of Honor winner and Bronco pilot Steven L. Bennet--and Jim Hodgson, the executive director, was kind enough to share his knowledge as a Bronco and F-4 Phantom pilot. We might have just hit the jackpot, being some of the first ones early on a Saturday morning, but it is very evident that everyone there has a passion for the museum and Aviation history. Thank you, again! It has made for a wonderful father-son journey.

Such a great place to take the family. The aviation history in Fort Worth is very rich. Did yall know that we trained WWI pilots? I didnt, until I visited the museum. There are volunteer veterans there that are INCREDIBLY knowledgeable. Its an honor learning from them. The kiddos will love the interactive displays they have. I was so focused on learning from a vet, I almost forgot they had static aircraft outside! What an amazing collection! I really appreciate their passion for restoration for the public. They love the OV-10 Bronco, which was an unsung hero during Vietnam. The pilots were incredibly brave. On Amazon, theyll donate a portion of purchases to one of the charities they have listed. The OV-10 Bronco Foundation is on there. Please use that to help these guys out!

We had such a great experience at the Fort Worth Aviation Museum. We have a family of 6 with kids ranging in ages from 11-15 (three of them girls) and every one of them said it was so much fun and something that they wont soon forget. The museum guides are so friendly and knowledgeable and I personally could listen to them talk for hours. 10/10 would recommend for kids and adults alike. Its also an extremely affordable activity (which seems so hard to find these days) with family tickets under $20.

I m from South Carolina and I travel a lot. Over the years I have been to a few museums, but not nearly as good as this one. Ft. Worth holds a special meaning to me as that s where my dad was stationed in the 1950 s. I went to the museum to try and find more history on his service and what he did working on B-36 bombers. After looking at some of the B-36 artifacts I toured the aircraft outside. Each aircraft there has an amazing story, each volunteer is very knowledgeable about the history of the aircraft and many of them even served in the military and flew some of these aircraft. Some of the volunteers there also have a special connection to real military hero s and Medal of Honor recipients. One young volunteer in particular has a truly amazing story, so if you re ever there on a weekend ask for Angela. You will not be disappointed.

Loved visiting this museum, while my Grandson attended his CAP meeting Monday 07/11/22. I was especially thrilled to read up on the man that Carswell AFB was named after, Major Horace S. Carswell, and that he was a medal of honor recipient. I cant wait to learn more with each visit!

We came here in celebration of my son s birthday. The man who runs the cash register was so friendly! He might have been one of the best parts of the entire experience! He has so many fascinating stories to share. I highly recommend taking your time and letting him tell you all the anecdotes about each plane and the people who care for them. They have one of the original airplanes used in the top gun movie which was pretty cool to see. In addition to that, they have a varied and extensive collection of planes we had never seen before at other air museums. I was impressed by how many they managed to fit on their property. They also have several interesting helicopters. Inside they have a wealth of military artifacts on display along with lots of aviation model planes. The bathrooms are accessible to all and clean. It was an incredible experience shared by people who obviously care a great deal about what they are doing. I highly recommend this place to anyone!

Really cool, lots of aircraft! Wish some would have been left in tact to see how they really were but nonetheless really cool cheap family trip. Its all outside so plan ahead with the Texas heat! It can almost ruin it for you.
