The Pescado Vera Cruz is my favorite dish. Tony was a great waiter. This place was very accommodating for my friend in a walker. Prices are excellent, too. Please stay in this location, Los Vaqueros. Your parking is tops for the area.

This restaurant was highly recommended for great mexican food. The tortilla soup was different, but yummy. The stuffed avocado indicated it was made with almost famous chicken salad, and I would probably leave it at that. Chicken was chewy, and not super flavorful. The margarita was delicious. The waitress was highly inattentive. I would have ordered another drink, but she didnt come by to check in until I was just ready to get out of there.

This was a horribly hot day and needless to say very busy restaurant. Our food and server were great, she did an awesome job. We had 2 guys visiting from South Korea and thought to show them the Stockyards and give them the taste of TexMex. The one issue we encountered was the bar area and their service, such a bad experience. We waited for our table at bar area so we ordered drinks. Im going to guess it was self service but man it was like pulling teeth there, even though we had to order our drinks they kept forgetting our orders and had bad attitudes towards the customers. Not our fault you did not have enough bar employees.

I havent gone, but I lost the desire since I was planning for us to celebrate a friend and we spent hours trying to make a reservation today at different times of the day (at times that seem like workdays) and no one answered, I also left a message voice in the voice mail of the Manager and a person named Vicky and it is time that no one has returned the call, if this is how the service will be in the Better restaurant to avoid the discomfort and not go .

DO NOT HAVE AN EVENT HERE - If you expect any communication at all. We had our wedding here although the venue is beautiful - they do not return calls or do what they say they are going to - I asked if I could bring in diet 7UP for my drink as I am diabetic and was told not to worry about it they would bring it in for me -NOPE, night of my wedding and I do not have the drink that I can drink. Was wanting to provide a glass of champagne to all my guest and when it came time to do the toasts the bartender had no clue he was suppose to do champagne. Came back to pick up the wedding decor that they had so kindly packed up for us, only to find my wedding bouquet was missing along with the 20 year old crystal vase it was in and the bracelet that was pinned underneath that had been gifted to me on my wedding day. Called Vicky to let her know and she then left a voicemail stating I had left it behind. I went to pick it up and was only given the bouquet with no bracelet and no vase and the flowers looked like they had been dug out of the trash. I was also informed by the manager on duty that someone did in fact take the bouquet with the vase and brought it back! WHY LIE ABOUT IT VICKY? There were many other things that they dropped the ball on as well.

I really enjoyed the chicken tacos this afternoon. The chicken had good flavor, was plated between a bed of pico de gallo, charro beans, and sautéed vegetables. It was a little oily, but the flavor was great! Even though it was Fathers Day, the service was good. Were looking forward to the new move and have high expectations for another great ambiance!

I came here on June 14th to celebrate my 63rd birthday. I had a party of 5 with me. I along with my daughter s boyfriend ordered the Chiles Relleanos with fajita meat. These two meals came to the table and were just barely edible. The dish is supposed to be fried but these two meals came to the table as a doughy mess. I called and spoke to the manager about it and he said they are fried but not to a crispy finish. I told him I have celebrated other birthdays there and most likely will again but I was very disappointed with my meal yesterday.

Bit into a STAPLE left inside my Chicken Chimichanga on 6/13/24. One end of the staple was kind of corkscrewed as if it was twisted when pulled out of something. Could have caused serious internal issues. Let the server know immediately, they offered to replace the Chimichanga, bless their unconcerned hearts. Avoid this place if you dislike little metal shards going through your digestive system.

Our main server was good, she just didnt have the help she needed. We had a very large party that we had booked way in advance. They were very ill prepared, didnt have the proper seating for coverage. Some of the guests had to sit away from the main party by themselves because of their poor planning.

Overpriced..... Food was very basic and the prices definitely didnt match the quality of the food. My husband is an excellent cook and cares about how its cooked and presentation, this was none of that ... In short I get way better at home. And tipping yourself is not cool, we should have a choice of dollar amount we want to pay and not have it made for us It was an awful first experience

I took my family for dinner today. I was charged $46.82 tips on my card without me knowing. Good food and service but rip off. I was pleasantly surprised at how good Los Vaqueros was. It is in a tourist area and not that the restaurants are bad around there. They can sometimes feel like they are just okay. We went here because Joe Ts was way to busy. Besides we went here for a Christmas party a couple of years ago and it was good. This time we went for my twins bday. We had my family of 6 (2 adults, 2 kids under 7 and 2 16 year olds) plus 2 grandparents for a total of 8 people. To start off all was hood. Server had a bit of an attitude no biggie. I ordered carne asada which traditionally comes with onions and bell peppers so I asked for extra vegetables meaning onions and bell peppers. She said it doesnt come with that it comes with a little on top. I said yes so please bring extra. I also said no rice and extra charo beans. I received my plate with rice and no extra onions or bell peppers and no extra charos. OK cool just moved on. She said do you want me to take it back with an attitude of She didnt want to. She said Im bringing you your veggies. About 10 minutes later she brought me grilled squash. And I said what is this she said its what you asked for I said no. I wanted the grilled onions. She said oh do you want me to go get them for you I said no dont worry about it. As my family was almost done eating. So she brought some half way grilled onions. Then we got our check and she goes I charged you gratuity. It was 20% for horrible service. How is that justified? Just insane. Needless to say will not go back here. 1 good thing she did have a guy come sing to my girls for their bday he did a great job.

1st & last visit. Red sauce on my beef & cheese enchiladas tasted like doctored up Campbells Tomato Soup from a can with hollandaise sauce texture & the queso tasted like whisked cheese soup from a can & the texture was like hollandaise sauce. It tasted ok but not great. Chips were also a little stale. The chicken enchilada w/ sour cream sauce, sopapillas, guacamole & salsa was really good though & the waiter provided excellent service, which was appreciated. I had high expectations for the food.

But on a scale of 1 to 5, this was barely a 2. With too many onions and some peppers and very little meat. To say the least, I probably wont be going back. Waiter was wonderful! Food lacks flavor, not enough of it,not what we would call a Taco Bar - meat, cheese, tomato,lettuce and lastly ran out of flour tortillas very quickly. Chicken was cooked with onions and Bell peppers, dont mind the onion but allergic to bell pepper in those should of been on the side not with the meat rice was a little dry to. Hot sauce tastes like it came out of a giant jar of Picate. We had a meal for the family after a funeral. So there were around 40 to 45 people in a cramped spot. Sad they couldnt let us have the bigger spot on the other side, empty seats there. Didnt even come with a dessert Sorry we wont be going back.

The bar tenders and manager is the reason for the 1 star. They actually she should get zero stars. The bartender manager Bam made it a point to send the barback up to me as I m sitting down to eat and tell I didn t pay for my drinks that I got while I was waiting. It was a good thing I kept my receipts. I had to walk over and show them & then she remembered. The manager was talking about guest. So disappointed!!! There was no toilet paper in the bathroom. After being told it took them 45 min to put some in there. It was the worst experience I ve ever had a restaurant.

It has been awhile since weve visited but we decided to celebrate our 29th wedding anniversary because weve always enjoyed the food and service here. My knees were feeling the Mt Everest high stairs but I made it. For the no-stairs people rest assured, they have a mile long ramp you can take instead. ;) The brisket tacos were delicious even though my wife had to fish out a pretty decent size of fat/gristle from one of them. The chimichanga with beef fajita was delicious. The meat was extremely tender. We splurged and shared a margarita and it was delicious too. Only drawback to the margarita was we think the glass was completely wet because the salt that was supposed to be on the rim was barely hanging onto the base of the glass stem. I guess the salt had already been sipping the magarita and slid the the stem in its drunken stupor?? o.O But overall a great time nonetheless. Oh and the sopapillas were tasty as well.

I was excited to book an event at Los vaqueros after multiple emails back and forth with Erica it seemed like we were getting closer to an agreement but then she completely went silent. We would reach out through phone and would be promised a call back later on that day. Of course the didn t happened, and I had to start my search all over again. Tamale appetizer is Excellent! Highly recommend. Try it with the chili con carne topping, wow. Carne Asada is good but the Mexican Pepper Steak is Outstanding! My new favorite. Chicken tortilla bowl is large and very good. Going through the menu and finding good food. Margaritas half price Wed. Regular Margarita drinks are not strong. Do not order extra strong margaritas, they way over charge to make a stronger drink. Waitress told me the strong Margarita they make is called Top Shelf and it is Excellent! We made a last minute reservation for lunch with a group of 30 of us. They so kindly accommodated us and had our table ready and even all together! Jesse was our waiter. We had impeccable service. Not one thing was incorrect. He was so attentive. We thanked him a thousand times because we were just so pleased with his service for 30!! The food was great. The restaurant is very large! Tons of room. Drinks were tasty too. Thank you so much Jesse!!

Our server Madison was great! The food was fine felt like everything could have used a bit more seasoning. The drinks were good. There was live music playing while we were there on a weekend night. This place is an easy walk from Fort Worth Stockyards, so it s in a very touristy location. As long as you don t come in with high expectations, you won t be disappointed. It s basically exactly what you would expect of a restaurant in a location like this.

Way OVER PRICED and the atmosphere is extremely loud .... To the point of being obnoxious. I went for a company Christmas party and came out telling my wife and everybody else that there was NO WAY that I would return there .... Especially if I had to pay the bill. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! Food tasted old and had terrible stomach discomfort afterwards. The prices were high for the food we received. I m sure the meat was not fresh from the day because it had a very strange taste. I did not like the environment nor did I find the waitresses attitude very friendly. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE AT ANY COST!

I have never ever left a bad review, but I feel forced to leave one this time due to terrible experience. Not authentic Mexican food. The food was horrible and prices are a joke. If you want good food, please, don t go here. The server was rude when we told him my dish had a terrible taste. I will not be returning and will never recommend to anyone.

We had a birthday party with reservations. When we arrived their water was off. But they sat us. Yet didn t ask us for our orders until we asked for service. Chicken fajitas were dry. Overall poor experience. Will not recommend.

Friday evening during the Christmas holiday season. We had reservation for 8 and 13 showed up but had to wait only a short time. We were graciously accommodated and our server was excellent! I haven t eaten here in many years and I must say, the quality & taste of the food has taken a huge leap toward excellence. Their salsa is the best I ve ever had the Chicken Quesadilla I ordered was so tender & flavorful! This is one of the best Mexican dinners I ve had in a while. Everyone in our group complimented the food & several of us bought big tubs of salsa to take home.

I havent been to this restaurant since around 2009 for a Christmas holiday luncheon with my office but I remember it being so lovely and the food so delicious! Well, my husband suggested it a couple of weeks ago after a doctors appt and I vaguely remembered the name. Once we got there, I immediately recalled the visit from 2009 and was excited to go again and I was NOT disappointed! I ordered the chicken fajita quesadillas and he ordered the beef fajitas. The service was incredible! Our server was so attentive and so sweet and met our every need! The food...omgsh...the food! So delish! I cannot wait to go again and definitely will not allow so many years to pass before I revisit them!! Do yourself a favor and go right away! The restaurant is gorgeous and gives all the holiday coziness as well as that Fort Worth Cattle town vibe!! You cant go wrong with this place!
