Wonderful experience! Ordered to go and the portion was large. The food brought me back to a Jerk Shack in Jamica. Delicious and seasoned perfectly. I will be going back!

I moved here from Chicago & couldn t find jerk chicken like it and I m so glad I found this little place . soo good and great portions! Jerk chicken is amazing and their sauce is so good and has a kick to it

OMG is all I can say. I had the pleasure of trying their food today at a party they catered. This is the best Jamaican food Ive ever had. I had jerk chicken, rice and peas, steamed cabbage, beef pattie, plantains, and think its called rasta pasta. I demolished my plate and trust me they didnt skimp on portions. The chicken literally fell off the bone. My fav sides were the pasta and the cabbage. I have never tasted anything like it. Everything and I mean everything was absolutely delicious. The staff was friendly and very professional, I believe they were the owners. If you havent tried their food, youll regret it. Now I have to take a trip to Texas City to try the oxtails. The food is worth the drive

My husband and I moved here 6 yrs ago from Brooklyn NY & he has been looking for his taste of home! Let me tell you Ive not seen him smile this big for the food since we left NY. Hands down yall are amazing and he will be returning! Everything was on point and tasted amazing. Bonus we ordered through Uber Eats the owner called me because she didnt have enough Oxtails for an ordered and so he picked Curry Chicken. Maam you did right because he got to try the oxtails, the curry chicken, his sides mac n Cheese and rice n peas along with fried Plantains was so AMAZING!!! Thank you. Much love and respect!

Came in about an hour before closing on Labor Day Ordered Oxtails over rice and peas with Steamed cabbage with a flavored drink . Very flavorful food not spicy or overwhelming which I am very appreciative of. Was nervous about the service because it was a hour before closing but the lady was VERY welcoming understanding explained what was on the menu and even asked if I wanted to dine in ! Plus the portion was big enough to have some leftovers for tomorrow. Thanks again ! Will be back

How great is this Jamaican place?!? And in Texas City!! These folks care about the quality of their offerings, love in the pot! We loved our delicious jerk chicken, peasnrice, stir-fried cabbage/vegs, shrimp po-boy and coconut shrimp! Fell on it too quickly to take photos, sorry! A bottle of Sorrel made the taste tour for me, only thing better would have been some Mauby! Enjoyed talking with Chef Mark and we hope your families back home are safe & sound after Beryl passing over Jamaica this week. Take these folks some trade!! You will be delighted as we were to have this great quality alternative to restaurant row in town!!

Even the small portions are STUFFED! the brown stew chicken is fantastic. The mac was good but its got a flavor I was not used to. My coworker enjoyed the jerk chicken. If you are passing thru, I highly recommend

I popped into Houston, didn t even know what I want and ocho rios found me! I was so happy to have found this place because it was like family, they showed me mad love and visa versa, the food was delicious!! And the portions was great, if you don t like a lot of food, then dog nyam yuh suppa might not be the place for you .. We got the jerk chicken & curry goat We also got the Rasta pasta, which is made to order. Exceptional culinary masterpiece. Go check them out, tell them the Jamaican barber sent you

OH MY GOODNESS! Where to start? Okay, the food is nothing short of fantastically satisfying to every taste bud in my month. Im not over exaggerating when I say that this is THE BEST FOOD IN TEXAS CITY! If youre anything like me, you want a break from the norm of Tex-Mex, Asian, and Soul Food cuisine. You want something that popular chains like Gringos or Long Horn cant even touch. If you desire something that will stimulate your mind from over abundance of flavor sensation... then folks, this is it. This is THE place for that! I lived in NYC for close to 10 years before moving to Texas, and let me tell you... Ocho Rios stands in the gap for what I missed about NYC Jamaican cuisine! The owners are nice and pleasant people. The space will accommodate a luncheon, dinner date, or special occasion gathering (they have a stage and all!). If youre still reading this, youre wasting valuable time to get over there!!!

They don t have friendly customer service. The bun for the jerk burger was way bigger than the actually patty won t recommend. Oxtails rice and Mac and cheese were all flavorful. Won t order here again though for the small portion sizes.

I ordered over the phone, and the service was friendly and professional. The food was not bad, but it wasnt all that either; not something to write home about. The rice and peas were not fresh, for sure at least a day old or more. Average cabbage and oxtails are overpriced for the quantity and quality provided. The jerk chicken was the best part of what I purchased. $45 for a small plate of jerk chicken and the oxtail plate. I took personal interest in trying their food since it is close by but not a hit, in my opinion. Caribbean, African, and Jamaican dishes are my preferences, but this particular restaurant I will not crave.

I have had so many different Jerk Chicken dishes is my life. Most of them coming from New York City. However, this is the best place to get Jerk Chicken. It comes off the bone like butter and its super flavorful. 100% recommended to come and eat here. Had the chance to talk to the both of the owners. They were super nice and inviting. Will definitely come back to eat their Curry Chicken.
