I stayed at the Ashton Hotel in August of 2024. I was involved in an incident and had my belongings packed up by the hotel. When I returned to get my belongings. My $2000 white gold ring was missing and my $300 G-Shock watch. I made several complaints to the hotel who took two weeks to reply. I was then palmed off to the insurance company who also took two weeks to reply and this is what I received. Dear Mr. Brigland: This letter is to advise you that we have completed our investigation into your claim against our client The Ashton. After careful consideration and review of the facts, we must respectfully decline payment for this matter for the following reason(s): There is no evidence that our client is responsible for the items you claim to be missing. Therefore, we must respectfully deny liability and will be unable to assist with your damages. If you have not already done so, it is suggested that you report this claim to your own insurance company for their handling. My things were stolen by an employee of the hotel. Zero accountability, I would never ever stay here!!!!!! ZERO STARS!!!!!!

While the service and location of this hotel are great, its quality is not. I would have expected more from a historic hotel. I was disappointed to come into my room only to have a non-working temp monitor and the room rather warm. The maintenance personnel showed up maybe an hour later to replace the batteries, which fixed the issue. However, this was a bit long for this simple fix. In addition to this, for a quality hotel you would not expect to find that the fitted sheet for the bed was in fact a top sheet just tucked in. This indicates laziness on the staff front. The sheets also had what looked to be nail polish stains on them. Again, from a historic hotel with 4 stars, you would expect a lot more. I will be reconsidering staying at this hotel in the future.

Absolutely horrible to deal with and expect a response. Multiple phone calls and emails went unanswered by staff and Hilton Honors was equally worthless in providing assistance. I do not understand how hospitality providers survive without providing hospitable service, but having been everything from Silver to Diamond I need to find a new hotel brand.

The hotel, which was booked last minute at a favorable price, was of excellent quality. I am writing primarily to commend Mr. Gerardo Perez, the Director of Operations, for his exceptional professionalism towards my wife and me. Additionally, his offer of financial compensation, was greatly appreciated. I extend my gratitude once again and wish you the very best.

When I read this was a 4-star hotel I was looking forward to staying. However I must say that this is not (in my opinion) what a 4-start stay looks like. If you enjoy vintage style heritage then this is the place for you! It s definitely beautiful. That s it though, it s just pretty. TV s are outdated (no smart tv s with Netflix, Hulu, etc) no robes, no continental breakfast, showers are so small that you have to turn sideways to shower (I was expecting a walk in shower for a 4 star hotel), no room service, I didn t even have complimentary water in my room. Lol like I said pretty hotel, just not for me and what I m used to in a 4-star hotel.

I am really disappointed in this hotel and stay, the number (if you call it) rings and rings and you cant get through to the front desk and their voicemail is full so hopefully you dont actually need to get in contact with them. The room: quaint and nice, it was quiet and clean. The sewer smell in the lobby both days of my stay was so strong the only thing you could do was hold your breath and run. There is no ice nor water, everything is pay to play here and the front desk people were always absent (likely due to the smell). The hotel fees have gone up and if you are using a separate card for incidentals they will it it with that - $11.50 per day on top of whatever quoted price you pay prior to your stay. Overall would not stay here again, there are other hotels in the area that are easier to get ahold of and more transparent with total charges/fees.

This review is for the tea room at the Ashton in Fort Worth. My husband and I took the in-laws to the tea room for an afternoon tea experience. The food left a lot to be desired. The finger sandwiches were not fresh, and they were prepared on stale bread. The desert bites tasted like desert trays from an average grocery store. Also, the tea selection is limited; there s no green tea and no tea pairing option. Finally, there were no mention of banquet fee on top of the $65 per person, for total of $354 for 4. Just last week I paid the same money to have dinner at Hell s Kitchen in Las Vegas and had a great delicious meal. Let s just say we walked away with a negative experience.

Our team stayed here for a 3 day meeting and have nothing but great things to say! This cute hotel is in the perfect location for great restaurants, fun things to do and cool bars. Everything is within blocks of The Ashton, including access to an amazing workout facility included with our stay. Of course we were here to work, and from planning the meeting to suggestions on where to go, the staff at The Ashton were to notch. Tracy, our sales manager, was a prop and did an excellent job facilitating all things related to our stay and the meeting itself. She ensured that our meeting room was well stocked and prepared. Our sleeping rooms were super comfortable with lush linens and towels. Chantallie checked us in quickly, was super helpful and replied to all requests with a smile. Our AV/IT expert, Harold was very helpful and reacted to last minute requests professionally and also with a smile. It was wonderful to stay at this lovely hotel and work with a great team of professionals - I highly recommend The Ashton and especially Tracy, Chantallie, and Harold!

Underwhelmed! For a 4 star hotel in Ft Worth, we were completely underwhelmed. Service was ok at best. When you walk into the lobby you expect to be transported back in time as this is a historic hotel. At the very least, I expected it to be nice. They have storage shelf s in view at the checkin desk. If I pay $300 a night, I don t want to see cleaning supplies in the lobby. The room was ok. Nothing special here. I could have been in a really old Holiday Inn for what it s worth. Bed was not overly comfortable, bathroom underwhelmed. Just wasn t a very nice hotel.

Wonderful experience! Room was comfy, the jacuzzi tub was to die for, and our room was soo cold but cozy under the blankets! My husband and I ended up getting sick and having to rush out in the morning and I accidentally left behind my Grandma s pearls that I wore on my wedding night (the night before). I was devastated when I realized and while the girl working the evening shift was less than helpful, the young lady working this Friday morning was the most compassionate, sweet person ever and made sure I got it back this morning. The bathroom is massive (compared to most hotels), and its an actual tub and shower combo. Didnt take a bath, but nice to know I had the option available if I didnt want to shower. Though the toilet paper dispenser requires one to be a contortionist in order to reach it. Best to have it on top of the toilet itself when you need it. First, let me start out by saying this was our Thirtieth Wedding Anniversary celebration and we were planning to make a weekend of it. To start things off, the whirlpool bath in the room was not working, which was why we chose this specific room in the first place. When checking out I mentioned this to the front desk personnel, who could not have cared less. I told her we had specifically paid MORE for the room because it advertised that feature. Cricket noise. Secondly, we were jolted awake by an unsolicited wake-up call at 7 a.m. When I mentioned this, the front desk person replied, Oh yeah, there were several others who had that happen too. Well, the fact that others suffered the same fate that makes me feel so much better. Not. Lastly, we had an appalling experience retrieving our vehicle. Initially we were told that it would be at least a half hour to get our car. Well, okay, there was only the one attendant and he seemed to be rather frazzled. We waited 20 minutes for our car, finally the attendant told us we might want to go down the street a few blocks to the Hilton as they were parking cars of the Ashton guests at that location, and they could help get our car sooner because he thought he would be at least an additional half hour getting ours. We walked down to the Hilton and stood in the cold for 20 to 25 minutes until I tell my husband that I am walking back to the Ashton at least I can sit indoors and not freeze to death while waiting for the car. No one ever helped us. We wound up returning to the Ashton only to discover that our car keys had been lost and at which point they began asking for a description of our vehicle. At this point I was nearing tears. When our car was finally returned the surly valet had a minor fit when my husband declined to give him a tip. I mean, really? You are rude, non-responsive, apparently incompetent, and then expect a tip? When we were leaving the young woman at the front desk apologized for the absolute disaster of a stay and said that she would have the manager contact us later that day to try to make the experience right. I told her that we would really appreciate a call. That was a Sunday morning, it has been three days since this happened. Any guesses? Yep, no call. No email No comment. I completely understand that a couple s anniversary may not be a big deal to a business establishment, but it really was a special milestone to us. I also expected a level of excellence and service at an establishment of this caliber, or should I say the purported caliber. Never again! If I am hoping for quality, I will go to the Omni or even the faded albeit service-oriented Renaissance. I seldom write reviews and certainly try not to dwell on a negative experience, however, I am hoping I can save someone else some grief and incredible disappointment over a spoiled special event.

At nearly $300 per night I had high expectations of this boutique hotel and was terribly disappointed. The room was a typical hotel room and the bed was comfortable but the pleasant anniversary getaway hotel ended there. We were supposed to get a Tea/light lunch with the reservation; however, there was no such thing offered/provided. We were in the 4th floor facing 6th street and the traffic noise, especially in the wee hours of Saturday night, was very, very loud. Car alarms on the street and loud cars make for a poor nights rest. The windows of the hotel were caked with dirt. The desk staff seemed wholly incompetent (every time we walked past, without luggage, they would ask are you checking out?). The required valet was a joke, we called down to have the car retrieved and got a call back from the system indicating it would be ready in 10 minutes, when we showed up at the right time the answer we got was oh, sorry, I didnt hear my phone buzz. The next time there was no call back that the car was ready and when we decided to go to the lobby to check on it, behold the car was there. The Echo Auto that I leave attached to my dash was broken. Luckily nothing was stolen. As someone who has spent a lot of nights in hotels this is among the poorest experiences Ive had. If you want a historic boutique experience I would highly recommend that you try the Kimpton hotel thats at 7th and Main instead of The Ashton, the AC Hotel (boutique brand in the Marriott family) thats on the West side of 5th and Main or even the Courtyard by Marriott thats on the East side of 5th and Main. Terribly disappointed. Definitely wont be back.

We stayed at The Ashton Hotel for our wedding anniversary weekend. It was a beautiful historic hotel. The room was very spacious and service was great. My only complaint was that the a/c didn t work very well and the room felt a little stuffy. There were many restaurants and shops nearby and it made for a great weekend!

Total dump, restaurant temporarily closed terrible snack bar (envision a half full pack of 24 water case) lol. Called several times asking when we were leaving (days before checkout). It looks like sometimes the rooms are around $100 I guess that would be a decent price but anything more is a total rip off.

I made a reservation in August for a room for 1 night on 10/22 for my daughter and new son-in-law for their wedding night. I prepaid the $311 in August for their room. I spoke to the hotel on the day of the wedding and was told everything was ready for them and I let the hotel know they would be checking in late, 10:30 or so. My daughter called about 10:30pm crying and told me that they were at the hotel trying to check in and were told they did not have a room due to a problem that the hotel had with their bookings. The lady at the Ashton told them that a reservation had been made for them down the street at another hotel. Needless to say they were not happy and went home. I called The Ashton and was told that they had a room open up and they were waiting for the newlyweds to check back in. Never called the newlyweds but told me this information! This is all taking place after 11pm. I told them no way were they driving back to stay at The Ashton! Awful experience and no one knowing what they were doing. Thank you Ashton Hotel for ruining their first night as newlyweds.

The rooms in the amenities are awesome. However when I went to grab a bag of chips and a pop from downstairs on my last night, one of the hotel employees grabbed a bunch of stuff right after me and for a single bag of chips and pop I got an invoice a week later for $39. If I had the time to actually file a proper complaint I would but this is the best I can do. They basically charge you for what you grab and then charge it for an additional five or six bags for themselves. Just a heads up as a lot of people would just let this go and let the charge go through as it typically goes through a whole week after your stay.

Stay away. This is the loudest hotel I ve ever been to. We were there spending the night for our anniversary and ended up going home and just saying, Forget it. The first room backed up to a bar and we clearly heard loud music and thumping from the bass, and the front desk thankfully moved us to another room. The second room was on the corner with a red light and we could hear every single car engine revving up and zooming by. The staff were nice, but didn t seem too knowledgeable on the front desk duties. The rooms were lovely, but just very noisy. Spend your money elsewhere.

Stayed the night here on a Saturday. Decent location and the coffee shop on the corner was amazing. The room was spacious and the bathroom was about as big as the room. Though the tub was tiny and it dripped all night, had to shut the door. The sheets had a strong bleach smell. Bed was comfortable and I m kinda picky about that. Booked the room and was told valet was included then got billed for valet. The sign to park there is confusing and their website doesn t give clear parking information either. The building was built in 1915 and you can somewhat smell the old cigarette smoke in the halls, at least on 5th floor where I was. Windows were huge with decent view considering surrounded by tall buildings, but windows were dirty as heck outside. Likely won t be staying here or recommending it. Overall cost was $220+ after they charge for valet even though it was supposed to be included. Customer Service isn t something they strive for here, more like an oh well attitude.

Wife and I checked in Thursday 3/24. Room was amazing complete with a soaker tub a rare treat for the both of us. However the remote control for the television was missing and the last guest s k-cup was still in the coffee maker which we cleaned prior to use in addition to there not being any coffee or cups in the room. We called front desk who corrected the coffee situation but claimed that the hotel engineer who works for them and the Hilton downtown would have to replace the remote. Sadly, no remote came. I know this is a small thing but when one pays $300+ for a room the coffee maker should be clean and the television should be usable. Normally when one checks out the first question is how was your stay? . No such question was asked which would have been a Segway to explain what happened. And when we did explain it wasn t taken seriously. Would not recommend as this place doesn t know what the definition of service is; sticking with Marriotts moving forward which are cleaner and you have a remote for the television!

Edited, again. We went there to hopefully be able to have a good experience. Unfortunately, that didn t happen. Would NOT recommend this hotel. Go to the Worthington or the Omni in the same area. I reserved a signature suite for some of my friends as a gift. We had to change their arrival date. The hotel made the change no problem. But neglected to tell me it was NOT for the same room type. I chose that room because it had the two person jacuzzi. The price went up but the room went down and we didn t know it til they checked in. I called and couldn t get anyone at the hotel. Talked w reservations for over 20 minutes and they told me everything I said was true but there was nothing they could do about it and I needed to talk to the hotel. I tried again but could not get through to them. Be warned. They are hard to communicate with and changes can happen but you MUST confirm that they aren t changing your room type. Signature Suite is not the same as a Signature Room.

Great location. Pleasing decor. Comfortable bed and the on-site manager was very nice. BUT BEYOND that I wouldn t recommend!!!!! Reservation phone call was painfully difficult, repetitive, crying child in the background, re-clarified again and again on a 2 night reservation that she STILL FAILED to book correctly. Upon arrival-no bellhop, valet is actually 3 blocks away and check-in was a 10 min hassle due to the keyless app download. Our room was TINY and our bed was 15 feet from our double door entry. The hallway noise literally kept us awake both night. We were checked out of our room unbeknownst to us due to the incorrect reservation. 30 min HASSLE again with the keyless app once we were allowed to check back in. We were told we could check out at 11:00am-only to receive a 9:00am phone call clarifying what time we wanted out $36 a day valet car delivered. VERY DISAPPOINTING STAY to say the least!!!!!

This hotel has lots of potential, but unfortunately just didn t quite do it for us. The historic aspect of the hotel showed, and not in a positive way. We stayed in a signature suite. The room was very cute and nicely decorated, and the bed was also very comfortable. The bathroom however needs a lot of work - it looked like it had been half-remodeled in the past. The shower and tub combo needs replacing badly! We were so excited to use the bath tub but it was pretty disgusting to be quite honest. The quality of the hotel and room falls short in comparison to other hotels in the area within the price range.
