When reaching out to an attorney to aid in the change of custody it is stressful for all parties. We called Turner- Monahan to reach Tyler Monahan only to be told he wasnt available as quickly as we needed. The practice referred us to Tina Campbell. She was amazingly personable and professional. ALWAYS responded in a timely manner along with being knowledgeable and reassuring at the toughest times. I highly recommend and thank Tina Campbell.

I went to they firm when I was divorcing. My first lawyer there was Tanner Breed. He was AMAZING, and actually did listen me (what is rare this days, most lawyers don t care of listen ) and he was in fact, truly concerned for my situation. I will never forgot the care, responsibility, attention and fierce that he put on my case. Unfortunately he leaves the firm couple months after my case started, and handle my case to Tina Campbell. At first I was not feeling great about the change, I will be honest about. I had so much trust in Tanner was hard to trust someone different! I did a request for a meeting with Tina! And at the meeting she showed me that I could trust her and that she would fight for me like a lioness. She give me all reassurance I did needed ! And she did not lied about: she was fierce and she defended me as a lioness! She did took care of me and I had not worries: I knew I had her and I knew she was the best lawyer I could have on my side. She knew what she was doing, she had the knowledge and she did her work with passion. The whole case I felt confident with her! She is AMAZING! If anyone need a family lawyer she is the guy . She will move earth and sky if is necessary! I am very thankful to her for everything she did for me and my kids. She is my hero! It slightly pains me to write this review, as Tina was competent in some instances during our business with Turner-Monahan. We initially hired Tyler Monohan to take our child custody case. He was enthusiastic, said he could get us what we asked for, and that it would be a piece of cake. This was during the consultation, we are now aware that this is usually the case with bad lawyers to get you on board and to hand over the retainer, sign the contract, and get thrown to the side. When mediation came around, he said he was not going to be able to attend and that Tina Campbell would sub for him. Turns out he gave her the case. We were never informed about that change. Tina was the one that handled everything from then on and we never heard from Tyler again. That is such a scum move on their part. At least have the decency to message your clients about the change so they can decide if thats what they still want. Thats how little they respect their clientele. During mediation, all parties, even our counsel, tried to get my husband to give in to everything the other party wanted. When my husband refused, Tina was a jerk and made it seem like he was being difficult. Sorry that my husband didnt want to lose more time with his daughter! The first trial is when Tina shined. My hope was rekindled because it seemed like she was trying to get us to our goal. Beforehand though, it wasnt easy to get her to respond to emails or get in contact with her until the day before the trial. She left everything for the last second, making us nervous and unsure how things would pan out. She would also constantly berate my husband, which upset me quite a bit. She had no manners whatsoever, and even she admitted it at some point. When we lost the trial and asked for a de novo, thats when she really started to slack off. She had clearly lost interest in the case. After we paid our de novo fees, she was nowhere to be found until right before the de novo. She asked us to be early to prepare for the case. We got there early, and when she got there she left the room for almost half an hour. She returned and spoke to us for like 5 minutes and then it was time to head into the courtroom. No preparation at all. Her languid presentation in court confirmed that we were at a loss. I prepared so much evidence for her and she only used 1 piece of it. Probably the least helpful evidence to boot. Then she had the audacity to ask my husband while he was up on the witness stand Do you have anything else you wanna add? Which my husband was not prepared for. What kind of question is that? You should be the one adding. To make matters worse, she let slip a lot of changes that the opposing party decided to make on the court order. She sent us a message with the order and asked if we had any questions. My husband did have questions and emailed her. She never responded and we have not heard from her since. If you think youll hire Tyler, think again. You might get switched out to someone else, so proceed at your own risk with that. Tina, shes a good lawyer when she wants to be. However, she picks and chooses who she will use her skills for and I dont think thats fair, considering we didnt even hire her in the first place. And expect to have very little communication until shes ready. You will not be reassured and your questions wont all be answered.

Hooks you with promises, gets you to mediation, then drops you so he doesnt have to do any actual work if you dont settle at mediation. Would never recommend for anyone in the military. If your divorce is easy, sure drop your $5k off to this firm to ensure everything is filed and done. If it is even slightly complicated,go elsewhere. If all you want is to see your child(ren), find a new lawyer to represent you. Read all the bad reviews as well as good to find the right person to represent you. Glad Im done dealing with this incompetent law firm.

I hope folks read this before anyone makes the grave mistake of hiring this firm before shopping around, like my in-laws did. I m not an attorney in Texas, but I am an attorney in another state, and I can say that what has been described to me about this firm is egregious. First, they seem to have a paralegal who doesn t understand that she s not a lawyer (despite the fact that she s apparently never been to law school and is not a member of the Bar) and she may be engaging in the unauthorized practice of law. Next, this firm doesn t appear to do the bare minimum right out of the gate in civil dependency cases or family law cases, such as ensuring visitation with children. Last, but most certainly not least, it appears they take cases they re not even remotely competent to handle, such as felony criminal defense cases. If true, this would be a violation of the ethical obligation lawyers have to provide competent representation. This firm, by all appearances, cares only about collecting your money and not about actually advocating for their clients. If you need an excellent criminal defense lawyer, talk to Cofer & Luster. Even if these Tumo Law people do have some experience, it doesn t look like they re any good. If you need a family law attorney, you may want to shop around if you care to have high-quality representation.

Please be aware of Tyler- Ive known him for over 12 years and please run from this firm. He will not defend any lawsuits for you and will tell you when your sued that the judge will rule agaisnt you right before court and to settle with your ex. Only to actually see the judge and win even though Tyler my lawyer said we would lose ! He is a liar and should be removed from practicing family law. If you want to lose your children from your own lawyer hire Tyler. He Will cuss out woman clients in private chambers. My experience with this law firm was a nightmare! The inconsistency and lack of communication were disappointing. The lack of presentation from this law firm was truly shocking, I put my trust and faith in them thinking they would fight for me! They would prepare everything last minute and I felt like they just threw my custody case to the side giving the other party the upper hand. I ended up hiring a different attorney and it was the best decision after so much time wasted. My new attorney even told me that the other party served me with discovery and this law firm failed to let me know. I originally hired Tyler Monahan and the first meeting with him he told me everything I wanted to hear, It was the first and last time I saw him. Tyler never went to any of the hearings, Tina Campbell was the one who represented me, but she didn t put up a fight. There were several times the other party violated the court order and when I brought it to their attention, nothing was ever done or enforced. They didn t explained to me exactly what was going and bc of their lack of communication and guidance it hurt me in the end.. not a day goes by that I don t get upset at myself for allowing this law firm to represent me for over a year with nothing but false hope! I saw difference with my new attorneys representation and the will to fight for me compared to this law firm, it was incomparable. Please do your research before hiring them.

Where do I start. I had never needed a lawyer for anything in my life until I had to get a divorce. I first called Mr Monahan in 2021 and he was so kind pleasant and respectful on the phone . I never once felt like he judged me. He always answered every single one of my questions even if it was tough for me to hear. Honestly I was clueless about how the justice system works. And he helped ease my anxiety about it all. I truly felt like he cared about me as a person. He never once tried to make me feel like he was nickling and diming me. We have had multiple conversation via emails and I ve never received a bill for it. He s a very busy man you truly have to patient . But ultimately he was the best decision for Me and my case. First call to get a consultation and I was greeted by Misti. I was new to this because I ve never been through a divorce, nor did I think I was going to. She was very helpful and answered my questions in a real manner. I retained for their flat fee, agreeable, divorce. I m very glad I did. As the process progressed, I began working with Lesa on the decree. She was extremely helpful and worded my decree in a genius way. I spoke with attorney Tina Campbell to dissect the decree and make adjustments based on her recommendations and what the presiding judge would be more open to. ALERT: RUN Absolutely the WORST law firm Ive ever encountered. Run DO NOT HIRE TYLER HIS A LIER I hired Mr. Tyler R. Monahan TO file for my divorce I paid him as he asked total of around $10,000 my mediation was 11/14/2022. ADVICE GO TO COURT. I ve lost confidence in my lawyer he have Giving me wrong information leading me to make Wong design decisions under presser suffered resulted in a financial loss. his behavior caused me damages. I found out those information after I signed the agreement that he presented me with wronging informations / he was not defending my benefit . - He leads me to believe that I have no right to claim my share of my husband 401 k during 14 of the marriage. it should be community and it should being divided . - He lead me to believe that all my benefit as community is my home this is wrong my husband has a business and all business grows during our marriage should be community and should be divided . He leaded me to believe that my separate property is community and deduct $100,000 out of my community share WORTH LAWYER I HAVE MADE ME Unfortunately google wont let me leave zero stars. This firm has no care in the world for their clients. They tell you exactly what you want to hear, then as soon as they have received your payment, they dissappear and completely ignore you. Hiring this firm is equivalent to throwing thousands of dollars in a paper shredder. The damages this firm has caused are irreparable. RUN before you become a victim of their scam.

Never let this firm and especially attorney Laura B. Alexander represent you. If I could give 0 stars I would, 0/10 would not recommend. Her representation is weak and this firm treats their minority clients less than acceptable. Laura B. Alexander is not a fair attorney and can t even hold a decent conversation with clients. Id have to say, my choice of Mr. Monahan to represent me in my divorce case was both a stroke of luck and an act of faith that intersected. The staff listened, took notes, and clearly laid out options, time frames, and attendant expenses. All of which occurred, just as stated. No surprises; no disappointments. As each phase of the divorce process progressed, Tyler Monahan demonstrated nothing but confidence and the continuing assertion of the original stated objective, to have me come out of the divorce fairly and reasonably. Mr. Monahan responded to each call and each email with clear answers and reassuring confidence. I used them for my divorce back in 2012. I spoke with Tyler on the phone initially and he gave me a list of charges, some of which he said I may not have to pay. I made a list of those charges, and when my divorce became just minutes from being final he charged me an extra $3,000 to $3,500 more than what we had initially agreed on agreed on. DO NOT USE THIS LAW FIRM! When I 1st spoke with them over the phone they told me how they were going to fight for me and court for custody of my son and the fee was $4,000. I was excited to have them on my team at first, then came the lack of communication and extra fees. I really can t belive attorneys like this are still in business, especially in family law. They treat you great to get you to sign the agreement where they put a non-refundable retainer on the agreement. They tell you this is because they will be dedicated to you the whole time, yet my attorney went on vacation and never communicated with me unless I called her. They get all your $4000 retainer and it s poor communication from there. My court date changed twice and no one ever called to tell me. I called the Texas attorney general for something non-related to my case and they are the ones who told me my case was set to final. I was having to travel to Texas from another state bc my husband is military and relocated but I guess the court date still wasn t a priority to them. Called the State Bar to get help and they really don t do much other than a grievance. This is why attorneys like this do what they do but you reap what you sow. The Bible says Be not decieved; God is not mocked: for whatever a man sow that he shall also reap. I ended up hiring another attorney and paying more fees. I was referred to this attorney by a relative. The new attorney literally responds to every call question and email and sent every document filed on my behalf and every document sent to the other party. Please do yourself a favor and get an attorney with 5 star ratings. You can t afford to waste money and be treated like you re nothing.
