First time to visit last night. Small and intimate but upscale decor. Well staffed, friendly and accommodating. Apparently they are known for their award winning mixology. The two people I was with both had cocktails. Both impressive looking and tasting. The smoked Manhattan process is unusual and visually impressive. Drink tasted fantastic. Both enjoyed their cocktails. I had a whiskey neat. I will go back.

My friends and I came to this bar after dinner for a birthday. Immediately upon entering the bar an employee asked us where we had been and said they refused to serve us. Everyone in our group had only had one drink at dinner. There were several people in this bar who were clearly over served and falling out of their chairs. It is very clear this bar discriminates against outsiders and will only serve their locals. 0/10 recommended.

This was the worst experience of my life. They asked me where we ve been when we walked in and then I told them that s none of their business. Then they told me they wouldn t serve me while these two local clowns were completely over served at the bar. We all had maybe three drinks at the place we were at before and no one was acting out of line and none of us were out of control AT ALL. This place is a clown show and everyone that works there is a disgrace.

We were refused service after asking if our friends could bring their sleeping 6 month old baby into the bar. After our friends left when they wouldn t let them come in, the rest of our party wanted to stay and grab a drink and the guy at the door preceded to ask us where we had been and then refused us service for no reason. He said we look like we had been drinking and we can t come in. There was eight of us and we had been at a hotel before having dinner. We were completely sober and there was absolutely no reason to refuse us service besides asking if we could bring a 6 month old baby in. Absolutely not acceptable. Poor customer service and I 100% do not recommend this bar unless you want to be discriminated against.

To start off This is a great place with great Customer service And excellent drinks. This place has a lot of potential but the atmosphere and decor dont give off the same vibes as the name would suggest. The modern furniture and bright colored walls gives off a feeling of being in a hotel bar just pretty generic. I feel like if they would dim the lights and add some more warm decor the place would feel a lot more comfortable. Or on the other hand if they wanted to go with a more edgy Vibe they could add some more cool art on the walls and rely more on the LEDs and not the can lights. But other than that the music was awesome, great playlist!

This is a great lounge for drinks and conversation - NOT a loud, crowded bar with music blaring and everyone shouting to be heard from two feet away. The drinks are amazing, if a little expensive (average $12-15 / drink). The service was great & friendly, if a little slow (two bartenders work tirelessly to mix craft cocktails, but on a busy night its hard to keep up). If you want a next drink, order it when youre still working on the current one. Great for small groups of up to 4 people; beyond that, seating wont be convenient.

I discovered The Basement Lounge about a little over a year ago and am sooo grateful I did. The only regret I have, is that I hadn t found it sooner. The owner is always there ready to greet you along with the bartender with a big smile. The drinks were really good, so I wish my experience here was better. Upon asking to close my tab, the bartender lost my card- closing out another tab giving it to another guest earlier. That guest walked out with my card & said they lost it in their purse. The staff told me they would take care of charges. So I immediately called my credit card company to cancel my card. I did authorize the final charge from Basement Lounge. As I was getting ready to leave the owner CHASED ME out making a scene saying I still owed them money. Confused, I told him I had a charge on my credit card from them and I would not pay any more. He kept pushing saying I hate doing this but you had a drink so you owe us money. Not wanting to make the scene any bigger, I paid with another card. But after losing my card and SAYING THEY WOULD COMP my drinks, they came back after me, embarrassed me and DOUBLE CHARGED me. Severe lack of hospitality and professionalism. I will not be back.

I have probably been in this lounge/bar 25 times over the past several years and always had a great time. Recently the vibe has changed and it has become less fun though. My friend and I recently visited to have a drink and catch up and we were completely ignored by the owner and bartender; so much so that the barback even apologized to us and said he wouldnt blame us if we left due to the rude treatment. My friend and I both are educated, make great money and tip well... never have I been treated so badly at bar. Never going back... very unwelcoming and rude by someone listing inclusivity on the website

I figure if this establishment didnt want African Americans here they should put up a sign saying so......Terrible experience for my 1st time here. Nice, cozy place but service is horrible. Well for me it was horrible. Sat at the bar next to a guy who i assumed is a regular. He was very talkative with (im guessing) the manager. Disnt look my way for at least 5 minutes and i was right next to the guy talking to him. Random guy on my right hand side actually spoke to 1 of the bartenders and informed him that Ive been sitting and waiting patiently. By the time i receiveda drink i had been sitting for 15min. .Everyone else seemed to get their drinks before me. I honestly dont know what was up, but i do know that I will not be back.

Unassuming entrance from the parking lot but a classy, modern establishment. My usual drink in a new place is an old-fashioned and the Basement Lounge did not disappoint. Drinks were made to perfection. Add in the exceptionally friendly staff and the relaxed vibe and you have a go-to watering hole! I went to this place on a Tuesday...probably not the best idea... The individual making cocktails had no idea on how to make cocktails... but I will go back on Friday and post another review. If all you offer is cocktails then you have to know how to make them right or just dont open so people can go elsewhere and enjoy a tasty cocktail. Decor of this place does not make sense. Really like this little spot. Not a fan of loud clubs or bars, but this place is small, quaint, with just the right volume of music. Like that you can actually talk to your friends while enjoying a cocktail. Dont so much like the volume when they have live music, a bit unbearable... Their drinks taste very, VERY yummy and they pour just the right amount of alcohol so that your drinks get the mood going but don t lose their flavor in alcohol. The Basement Lounge is my new favorite place to go for a delicious drink and a relaxing atmosphere! It s location is very fun and we were beyond pleased with our drinks! We got the pleasure of meeting one of the owners! The owner was kind, knowledgeable, and intentional to us and his other guests! We will be back! Thank you for the great time!

Wonderful Hidden Gem in Fort Worth. Comfortable atmosphere, very good craft cocktails, and a very friendly bartender. I enjoyed the happy hour meeting I had here, and will definitely return in the near future.

Nice craft cocktail lounge tucked into a lower level of a shopping center. We were greeted warmly by everyone working. They have a seasonal drink menu to choose from, and a selection of master craft drinks as well. Inside there are several seating areas to enjoy your drinks.

Cool place and the drinks are really good! Chill atmosphere. Nice intimate place for a drink and conversation. If youre a beer drinker, might not be the place for you. They only serve Fort worth beers, which I actually thought was pretty cool.

Were so happy to find The Basement Lounge. Its a great place to go and hang out with your friends and have great conversation and delicious drinks. You actually get a perfectly mixed drink here which is very hard to find these days. Each drink is bursting with flavor full liquor and mixes. Its great and quiet and people can talk and we just had a great time getting to know the bartender Tyler hes amazing. The craft & signature drinks that he created are so delicious and its fun watching him make them... its an art like a master of cocktails. A must visit for a nice night out! (Located behind/under Oscars)

This place is great. Amazing craft cocktails and an awesome ambience. For whisky drinkers, they have a whole portion of their drink menu dedicated to Old Fashioneds including a smoked version. The owner makes it a point to walk around and greet customers. He is remarkably friendly. It may be a small place but I wouldnt call it a negative. Definitely recommend this place.

Best experience Ive had at a bar in Texas, period. No smoking, mandatory quiet music, off-menu drinks encouraged, skilled bartender with an awesome personality, and owners who care. The ambiance is quiet, inviting, and welcoming with a built-in fireplace and an actual date room built into the back that has more subdued lighting, even softer music, and a comfy couch. A variety of art decorates the walls each month as new, inspirational artists are featured. We were treated like friends from the moment we arrived to the time we left by Tyler, the bartender, and by Jesse, one of the owners. The drinks were creative, stylish, delicious, and they didnt break the bank, especially with the 5-8pm happy hour ($1 off beer and wine/ $2 off specialties). This is a spot for locals, regulars, and people who want a positive environment to hang out where they can actually hear each other. The music volume does get turned up a bit as more people fill up the space, but its still easy to maintain a conversation without having to strain. Well definitely be back.

Its a little hard to find, but well worth looking for. The drinks are killer, and the feel of the place is so welcoming compared to a smokey bar. The bartenders are like artist, with real drinks not just a shot in some juice.

The staff is always friendly and willing to have a conversation with you. Thats something a lot of bartenders dont do. The drinks are fairly priced. They gear towards more of the older young crowd (25+). Chris always takes the time to make the guests feel welcome. However I will say that if you are interested in more of the club scene this is not the place for you. It is also not a place for you if you like to smoke and shoot a few games of pool while you drink. Food services are not currently provided. But some kind of snacks while there would be nice. Over all this is one of my new favorite places to hang out!
