Not a lot of breweries do everything well. Cowtown is one of the few that does. Primarily a lager beer brewer, they don t offer what they consider a true IPA. However, for those of you that will only drink IPA, the Pale Ryeder and the Snow Pony are as good as any west coast IPA you can get. For everyone else, the High Brau lager and the Hundo P Pilsner are as good an example of those types as you will find anywhere. If you like Shiner Bock but wish it weren t so cloying, try the La Cabrá Dorada. It is what a Maibock should be: Clean, quaffable, and only slightly sweet. If you like beer because you like beer and not because it s trendy, go to Cowtown. Relax. Sample a few. Find a favorite and settle in. You ll be happy you did. Cheers!

Been there quite a few times when I lived there. Great place to hang with friends, catch a game, or just eat. All their brews are made on site and are excellent. Dont sleep on the menu. The brisket nachos are top shelf. Loaded tots are too.

The food was okay, not great in my opinion. I do like that they asked me what doneness I wanted my burger which is usually a good sign. I thought the Wild Spirit beer was very good. They were also out of a lot of things when me and my friends went, but it wasnt really their fault. It seems their fryer had broken, and some of their best sounding food appeared fried. I would go back for sure.

I don t know why it took me so long to go to a brewery that was literally in downtown Fort Worth considering how I basically lived there for years. I was pleasantly surprised by my experience. I tried 4 beers and they were all good, maybe bordering on better than good. The bartenders were all great. The pricing was reasonable and the brisket was about as good as you can get at a place that isn t a legit Texas BBQ place. Legit good brisket. Place was pretty nice but a little on the small side. Outside would be nice if weather agreed. I wasn t super enthused by the beer selection - could ve used a little more variety. Parking wasn t great but I guess that s what you get being so close to downtown. Gotta nitpick at this level. I will definitely be back

We ve been here a couple of times and have really enjoyed the overall atmosphere, food and beers on tap. We ve done both music bingo and trivia and both were really fun! We have tried flights, pints and pitchers of many of their brews and haven t had anything yet that we didn t like. Also, the loaded tots are AMAZING! Our only complaint was that one of the servers we had was not the most friendly guy, made several mistakes with our food and drinks and gave us subpar service overall on our second visit. We really like this place though and will be back for more trivia nights in the future.

First off, no paper menus, and at the bar half of the QR codes are worn and difficult to scan. Asked the bartender for a menu and he treated us like we were stupid for not being able to pull it up. Well I can scan it right there. Beer was decent, but for being in Fort Worth you d expect more for BBQ, the pulled pork was lukewarm when it arrived, mac and cheese had soggy noodles. Go for the beer but nothing else, only reason for two stars instead of one.

We were greeted when arriving and got seated immediately. We ordered loaded nachos with brisket, and there was hardly any brisket. We ordered loaded tots with pulled pork, and similarly, there was hardly any pulled pork. The Cow Patty Melt was very bland. Our drinks were only topped off once. While I hate to give this place a below-average review, that was my experience.

Max!!! Informative, knowledgeable and kind, this gentleman was able to give me what I needed to create an amazing experience for a couple that are getting married through my company. Stopped by after The Cowtown Marathon for lunch and a beer. The beer was fantastic with a great selection of beers. The food though was disappointing. 5 minutes after ordering my first choice, I was told they were out of patties. I understand sometimes demand exceeds supply but this was at 1:30 pm. Out already? I ordered a brisket sandwich w tots instead. It took close to 40 minutes for it to come out and the sandwich was cold. I know the brisket was finished hours ago and the tots take 3-4 minutes to fry up. It didnt appear to be that busy. Also my wife ordered the mac and cheese which arrived 10 minutes before my food did so we had to eat separately. Just really disappointed. Vegetarian options: Slim to none. My wife ordered the childs portion of mac and cheese since it didnt come with sausage. There is a grilled cheese sandwich and quesadillas. There really arent any adult vegetarian options.

I dont think Ive ever tasted a better quality and cleaner tasting beer and to top it off no dry mouth and no headache I didnt have but a couple and Im not a big beer drinker at all but for me to have that second one it had to have been a good one. I love trying new breweries all over the world. Craft beer and the environment it has is enjoyable HOWEVER, not my experience here. Went to eat with my family prior to class was not greeted by anyone for at least 10-15 minutes of seating ourselves. By this point I saw a option to order via QRCode. As I was literally finishing my order someone came over. Not very polite but rather harshly asked for drink order. I had said that I was just about threw ordering off the website, should I finish or order with you? She replied with it didnt matter its all one in the same. So we completed the order online. Received a drink and waited.....kids being chased around the already crowded area, waitress having locker room chat about customer to include myself, cussing and damn near screaming behind the bourbon barrels, and dropping items while leaving them there. After about 42 minutes after placing the order (just two burgers) the waitress comes by to do final call for food. (We still have not received our order. I had asked if our food was coming. Not rude not impatient but if Im being asked for last call, I would like to know if my original order was coming out. If not, either submit it or figure out what the disconnect was. She assured me that it was about to come out soon. Theyre also was a curly haired waitress who was the most polite person working who came over and tried to take our order (after 55 minutes) I had explained that I am going to be late for class and if the food was not coming out, I would like to cancel the order. She informed me at that time that the other waitress went to the back to check and if it was not up that they would issue a refund. Well our order was not up. So I went to a thin man who proceeded cuss and fuss at me. He had informed me that the system is down. And that they never received my order but three times I was assured that my order was received. He told me he didnt know how to issue me a refund Because of the system being down. He said how do you think? I feel Ive been dealing with this all day. I said sir I understand but I just want to pay for what I got and cancel what I didnt I need to leave. Leaving and not paying for something then I never got was all I wanted to do. He proceeded to talk to me like I was less than like I was a child like he knew me from the streets. Mind you this is a man and Im a woman in a bar situation now making me very uncomfortable. I was trying to gain clear understanding of how Im not going to pay upwards of $30 something dollars for an order that never happened. Because I received confirmation that in fact my order did go through. Through the text messages and through the app online as well as the waitresses both of them confirming. The one waitress came over while I was talking to him and tried to apologize but you could tell it was lacking sincerity. It was more just to add her input. Needless to say I left without any food. Lack of service. Lack of comfortability in a place we left nervous, shook up and having pending charges in my account. Honestly, I would not recommend this place. There are so many breweries that have better layouts and definitely better service. I think that between three people that I saw working there somebody should have had table side manners, managerial skills, attention to detail. I get that things happen. I really do. However, that is not my responsibility to absorb the aftermath of it as a customer that is a first time person in this establishment. Getting cussed and fussed out by a Man that works. There definitely was not what I was aiming for by going.

Burger was so salty I couldn t eat it. This was after the waitress told us not to get the slaw because a different customer advised it was really salty. I said it was obvious that the cook wasn t tasting their own food, and she responded that she d let them know at the end of her shift! She wasn t apologetic and didn t comp the burger, nor did I ask her to, but she should at least go tell the cook to tone things down in the seasoning department. The beer was good and the atmosphere was fine, but I can t in good conscience recommend the burgers here. Get literally anything else.

When my husband and I walked in their was anyone around to assist us. It to at least 5 minutes until someone said anything to us and when a guy approach us he literally asked why are you here. I was ready to leave. Some how my husband miss that since he was looking at the merchandise. I had to tell the guy that we never been there before. So again beening rude he ask us: So do yall want food or drinks! He just look at us like we were idiots. He made Squidward from SpongeBob look friendly. He told us we could sit wherever we want and someone would come and take our order. Unfortunately he came to take our order and we felt rushed. He wanted our drink order but we had no menus. We already told him we never been there once we should have to ask for the menus. He pointed it out that it was a QR code while looking at us like we should know that. Thats when my husband finally wanted to leave. I suggested we just by the drinks and leave but he wanted us to enjoy date night. My husband tried to order platter that had a meat variety with sides. The guy laugh while telling him no. Telling him basically he assumed that my husband couldnt eat it all by himself. Then I tried to tell the guy that he cant eat a lot but he didnt want to listen to me. He tried to make it sound good by saying that kitchen may not have that much meat and that they need 24 hours in advance notice for that order. It never specified on the menu. We got another person to serve us she was nice than him we did order food. My husband was very unhappy with his order. He just pay the bill and we left. We will not be coming back.

Eat before you come. It was dinner time- Out of bacon, out of turkey and out of ribs, this would be understandable if they told us before we ordered and at least before it gets to the table. The waiter brought us our bacon burger and as he set it on the table he told us they re out of bacon and he s only been here two weeks . Manager came to our table and told us it s to be expected so maybe have people order at your food truck and cross out what items you re out of? instead they add a waitress to the mix who is clueless what the kitchen has. If the waitress had been up front about the food being offered we wouldn t have ordered a thing off the food menu but at least we would have left with a good drinking experience. Now we don t even want to give it another try.

This place is great. We ordered the bacon wrapped jalapenos, pulled pork sandwich and a brisket taco. The jalapenos are wrapped in bacon and filled with pulled pork. The brisket taco come with pico and a corn tortilla, it was delicious and had a perfectly smoked taste. My pulled pork sandwich,the meat was tasty but the sweet bun threw me off a bit. If I could get this with a bread that wasnt sweet Id order it every time. Atmosphere: loved it. Its full of different age groups, has indoor seating and outdoor uncovered seating, if your a real Texan youll be ok with that. The staff: awesome! They are very informative and really listen to you. Great beer selection. My husband and I are not IPA drinkers and this place brews a variety of beer. All in all, I think we found our new place. We dove in to the food prior to pictures. Lol

Cowtown was running a special on father day get a free pitcher of beer with the purchase of food. We got our pitcher right away but were told the kitchen was backed up and it was taking about an hour for food. After an hour had passed we were told the time for food was now for two hours. We paid for the food and left which was basically the same price it would have been if we just bought a pitcher of beer. If you are going to run a special that requires the purchase of food make sure the kitchen is equipped to handle the demand.

We recently went to Cowtown Brewery once the tap re-opened. They have flights which s are amazing. Daryl is amazing and very knowledgeable about beer and the brewing process. I was very excited to try some of their food and brews. I am partial to IPA s and unfortunately, they only had one IPA brewed at the time and or available on tap so that was a little disappointing I was unable to try others. However, the IPA I did try was the Everybody s Doing It. It was true to its description it was very hazy and a bit citrusy; it was smooth and enjoyable. I would never pay the hellacious price they ask for a 4 pack of pints at $22. It is good but it was not that good to where I would dish kind of $$ out. The best brew was the La Mera Hora a very lime inspired Mexican lager that hit the spot on that hot day. As far as the food was concerned it was pretty good. I ordered nachos and was expecting melted runny cheese not literal cooked queso and honestly that was a huge disappointment, but it was big enough to share. Be sure to check out the smoked turkey sandwich they have you will not regret it. The environment was fun and relaxing. The wait staff was nice and friendly so I will be back soon.

Not to impressed with this brewery, and Ive been to quite a few over the past several years. The parking lot needs improvement. Id hate to come there after or during a heavy rain. My vehicle would probably get stuck in the mud. When we did finally park, there was some smelly run-off from the back that was like sewage drainage. Upon entry and sitting at the bar, the greeting from one of the female staff members was lacking. She was not hospitable at all. Very dry and unconcerned. She asked us if we wanted to order food, and my husband asked for a menu in which she proceeded to push a napkin holder at him with a QR code. She was just plain rude. The bar was not clean, fruit flies, and dirty glasses. Im glad I had a few wet wipes in my purse because she never wiped the area that we sat. Overall, I think Id spend my money elsewhere. Friendly and welcoming service that makes you feel at home. Food is top notch! Ive dined at more expensive places where the food wasnt as good as here. Lastly but certainly not least theyve got a microbrewery selection that should go viral! So many great choices and exquisite flavors I wanted to try them all. Moreover a knowledgeable brewmaster and staff that are familiar with the flavors of their wares so you gotta good idea of what youll be drinking. That way you dont pull a lemon of a batch you wouldnt like. I.E. if you dont like stout flavored beer theyll steer you clear of that. I tried five different brews all were good! My recommendation? I have never had a bad experience at Cowtown. I love Tuesday and Thursday nights. Tuesday is Trivia (The Angry Irishman is an amazing host), and Thursday is music bingo. Sometimes, they run out of items on the menu, but what BBQ place does not. Patio is awesome for larger groups or those with dogs.

I am happy to update my review from one star to a five star review. I am pleased to say that Shawn was more than reasonable and willing to sit down and talk about what happened over a beer. This conversation was respectful and constructive for both parties. As note this business has always welcomed well behaved pets and service animals both inside and on the outside deck. This being said I am very surprised by this business and the way that they handled my initial review. It is refreshing to be able to talk about the issue at hand with a very open and honest approach. I would highly recommend if you ever have any issues or concerns to be open and honest with Shawn. Based off of my own experiences and conversations with him I know he will always do his best to listen and try to make it right when he is able to do so! Thanks for reading! PS. Their BBQ is amazing but, remember it goes fast.! Parking: Tons of parking, well lit, close to the action and plenty of security cameras. Where to start, we get there at 7 and immediately were met with a very hostile waitress that was not happy that multiple couples were splitting a table(we were in the same group) she was equally rude to the new waitress that was helping us and pretty much told her to go inside and she would fix the issues she made we then mentioned we were wanting to order food and she goes good luck, kitchen is about to close it was 7...not only that they had only one cider to serve and when I go oh okay, I guess looking at the online menu its confusing what you do/dont have she shrugged and said it is what it is Very poor service, worst Ive ever experienced. The 25 people we were also with were very taken aback by the hostility she brought to the night.

The staff are exceptionally polite. I came in for lunch today and was greeted by an amazing set of people. My patio burger was absolutely delicious and juicy and seasoned perfectly. Id add a picture but you cant put it down once you start eating. The girls at my work recommended for me and I recommend for any wanting to stop by for lunch on a workday. Definitely a treat and burgers are worth more than they cost by a long shot! 12/10 will come back again.

Great place, we will def be back. Outdoor multi level area with wind shields and heaters up so it was still comfortable for winter (we had our pup) We tried the award winning lager, the red, sour, and German Kolsch. All very good and the loaded tots were bomb! The real standout here was the staff. Each of the 5 people we interacted with were phenomenal and made it warm and inviting like chilling with friends.

Ordered Sliced brisket sandwich and they didnt mention that its an extra $3 charge. They also didnt trim the fat, so each bite had huge chucks of fat. The bakes potato was burned on the ends so the potato was super dry and burned tasting. Included the photo of it. Overall, not a place I would go back to.

I can not stress enough how accommodating the staff was here. My wife and I came in with our 1 year old boy who was wanting to be adventurous and the staff not only allowing it but played along with him. My husband and I went out for date night sat in the patio and the waitress immediately came and asked if she could get us a drink. We ordered and she brought it out fairly quickly and so we had not decided on food yet. So she said she would give us time. Great. Hour and a half later she never came back in fact we never saw her even in the brewery anywhere again. No one else checked on us either. Needless to say it did not make date night great and we left and went else where. We have noticed over the last year this place s service has gone down hill and this was the worst. Sadly we had wanted to spend time together on the patio but did not get to enjoy the rest of our evening there.

This place is perfect for any craft beer and BBQ lover. They have a great variety of perfectly crafted beers and no matter what youre into, I can guarantee they have a beer for you. I had their award winning Fort Worth Lager and an out right delicious octoberfest lager. The bartenders were great, personable and oh so friendly. Now Ive been to a lot of breweries where the beer is excellent and the food lacks but this place is definitely above the rest. They serve a majority of smoked favorites but they also had some Texan cuisine on the menu. I had the brisket tacos and it is hands down my favorite taco now. It was flavorful, juicy and went very well with a side of elotes. I will forsure be returning to this place as often and as soon as I can!

Deeply disappointed. Ordered a $14 burger that doesn t come with fries, only Vicki s brand chips. The burger is also a pre-made frozen patty. It came with no condiments at all, just a dry burger. I swear to god, I ve had a better $5 burger from Wendy s. It also came with a jalapeño. Who eats a jalapeño with their burger? Maybe a pickle, but a jalapeño?!?! Weird. With tip, I spent $20 for a frozen burger patty, small bag of chips and no condiments. Smh.

The dries burger around. When I finally did get it they picked a hope so the egg was all ready out of the burger. Then husband waited a extra 25 min for them to even remember his food. Then my phone made a tiny noise and one of the waitresses made a big stink because it made a noise. Like. Really. Dont expect to get fast or even decent service. Went last night for Music Bingo. Sat down at 7:30p cashed out at 9:30p. In that time I was able to successfully order one beer and one really DRY burger, with the horrible service I couldn t bare to wait for a new one. $23.38 was spent with a $0.00 tip with feedback and the server who cashed me out gave the excuse sorry we were really busy . Too busy to not check back once in two hours. I was really excited to try this place very disappointed the way it s managed. That being said the one star is for the one beer. This is not a server issue, Poorly Managed.

Good beers (thus three stars instead of two) but so disappointed with the service. We are beer nerds and when were told that there is no real difference between two of their NE IPAs without any other info we tend to lose interest. We were pretty much left to our own devices from the time we arrived. We ordered a flight to share (we were on a brewery tour so sharing flights is the easy to go to extend the tour and sample as much as possible) and it took over 10 minutes from order to service. One of the few breweries where no merch was purchased due to lack of service. So disappointed as this brewery had been talked up to us...

The service was great but the food is not good at all, I had the brisket queso and my husband had the 2 meat plate. The brisket tasted okay but ALL of the food including the brisket and my queso was cold. The chips were VERY stale as well. As a business owner myself, I would suggest investing in a portacool or something... This is Texas and the heat makes the experience less than desirable.

Had a really great time at this Cowtown location. Came in and sat down at the bar while killing time, and was very impressed. Parking was easy, and the building was large with great air conditioning and plenty of seating. In terms of beers, the IPAs were strong and ice cold, and the BBQ sandwich I got was quite good.
