I went there with big groups of families and friends and I got to try different kinds of meats. The brisket is so tender and tasty, the ribs are my favorite, it was so tender and flavorful with the right amount of smokiness. And finally the chicken, was delicious and of course the sides made it really fantastic dinner.

Very surprised. The ribs and sausage we excellent. Brisket was good and moist but I personally wouldve rather had it sliced in front of me but it was already sliced. Nevertheless, it tasted good and the texture was good. Both the sweet and the spicy BBQ sauces were really good. The sides I can attest to are bbq beans and okra and both were super tasty and loved them both. Portions were large and I left so stuffed. I wasnt expecting such an experience but it did happen. Thumbs up !! Wheelchair accessibility: Easily maneuverable and had no issues.

Very dissapointing! I drove all the way out there on Friday night, arriving before closing time. When I went in to order they told me sorry, we are closed! There were no other customers in there and all the food looked like it was cleaned up and employee was ready to leave. He was just waiting for closing time so he could shut it down. Thats not the way to run a business! If you want to close earlier, then set your closing time earlier. Dont have posted hours that are incorrect. Your posted hours are a lie! You need to be inviting, actually serve good food, make your customers want to come back, and bring all their friends. Major fail!

I dont know if they changed owners or management or what happened, but this went from one of my favorite bbq bites to being a complete waste of money. I ordered a pull pork sandwich plate which is advertised for $9.99 and end up paying $22 and change. I guess you pay for each side individually. Why call it a plate then? The employee slapped it together like he dreaded every second of me being in the store. Will never be back.

8-1-24 update. Still great food and service. This time I also got a 1lbs of brisket to take home. Quick service.... and better yet excellent BBQ. The sliced brisket had just the right smoke. The okra was fried to a perfect crisp, the beans represented a great ranch beans style and the potato salad was a deluxe variety with plenty of crunch. It was nice to see an old fashioned pickle bar... its not authentic BBQ without one. I could take a dozen of their fluffy rolls to go!!!

Food was cold, including ribs, brisket, green beans, okra. Our order was WRONG. We requested broccoli casserole and got green beans. We ordered a pint of banana pudding and received 8 oz. Called the manager who was uncaring. Just because its a Grubhub order doesnt mean you should not try to get it right. They are only a mile away, so the food should have been hot. We let Grubhub know about the incorrect items and got partial refund.

Tried this place for the first time and no wonder they ve been here for so long! The staff were so friendly, food was very tasty, portions were perfect and the place was inviting and great overall. We got the chopped brisket, my personal favorite was the broccoli casserole and my husbands was the Mac and cheese. The sauces were amazing as well! Ive never really tried much Barbecue, but when I saw they had Burgers on the menu? I was drawn in. In the end though, I walked out with something totally different and enjoyed it a lot, too. Although what should you expect from this place? For starters, the place is huge, and works a bit differently! You can either get in line on the far right amd grab a tray to eat inside, or, you can order it to go. I was talking with some of the frequents and they told me: What? You came here foe a Burger? At a barbecue place? You should get the Frito Pie Instead. Now my kind of frito pie is nothing compared to this place, let me tell you. It was delicious! And they gave such a generous amount with sweet and spicy sauce (be sure you as for both if you have the option for it,) and sour cream. The staff too was incredibly helpful and walked me through some of the options when I piped up to ask. Their sides too looked really good, and I got that Broccoli and Cheese only to be pleasantly surprised with how much flavor and cheesy-ness it had. Didnt take longer than two or five minutes to get it in and out, Id definitely recommend this place if youre looking for a hearty option when it comes to good food and great taste.

There is a older woman that works there that is a hard worker that they are mean too. She has been working for them for years. When she ended up in the hospital and let them know so they said for her to find someone to cover her shift and she found an employee so her shift was covered for but She has a doctor note but they fired her telling her she can t come back even though she did everything they told her too.

Small quiet family friendly and the food is worth every penny. My husband is picky about his BBQ and Im picky about everything else. Neither of us could find anything to complain about. So happy I found this place. This area of town is a bit of a desert for local, quality, and affordable food. Everything else around is over processed chain food. This here is a quality plate of local food, served with kindness, and at a very fair price. Im not a bbq aficionado(snob), the sides to me have all shined and the meats I ve tried have been easily up to snuff. The food is always fantastic and the people are always welcoming and kind. Their spicy sauce is really good, its not black pepper spicy its more like jalapeno type peppers spicy. We ordered food for over 200 people for our Betterman mens conference from lonestar BBQ. We had 15 big briskets with sauce, macaroni and cheese and coleslaw. Its very hard to please 200 hungry Texas men. But they did it. We had so so many compliments on the food. The brisket was tender, juicy and very well seasoned. But the mac and cheese disappeared first with people coming back for 3rds. Everything was excellent. We will definitely get BBQ again for our mens ministry at Fellowship of the parks 9900 North Beach. We meet on Mondays and Thursdays at 7. You should join us!!!

Food was okay! Not terrible just not my preferred taste. Bread was good, but sweet - 2 slices of plain white bread wouldve been better. Sausage was great, wish that & the sauce were a bit more spicy. Mac & cheese was great, good portion as well! Corn on the cob was great. Also this huge drink was only $1.75, really great price for the size. Banana pudding was very meh. There were 2 wafers & one banana slice, the rest was pudding, wasnt worth the $3.50 in my opinion. Would definitely come back & try something new though

My husband and I always order from here but this last time we got it the food was so disgusting the chicken look like it wasn t cook all the way I gave a little to my kids but then made them stop eating it just waiting for them to get sick from it. Me and my family patronize this establishment at least once a week. They typically have good food and good customer service. I recently experienced a problem with my order. I called to tell them that the peach cobbler tasted different than usual. I still had the peach cobbler and offered to bring it back. The owner was unwilling to make the situation right. The chopped beef plate is excellent. The meat has a delicious smoke flavor....so good that I really hesitated to add any BBQ sauce. The crisp coleslaw was ice cold and super crisp--just the way I like it. And the broccoli cheese casserole was so darned tasty and cheesy that it disappeared rather quickly...and the broccoli wasnt overcooked. They even have a condiment bar so you can load up on all the pickles, peppers, onions, and relish. Be forewarned that they do have a self-service beverage station with sodas, tea and lemonade. Or if youd rather drink bottled drinks (includingTopo Chico), those are available, too. If you havent tried Lone Star BBQ yet, what are you waiting for? Theres a BBQ plate waiting for you! The place when first opened was great, but it has seemed to slip. No Ice didnt seem to have much of an energy vibe or a Hey lets get this out. The food was good but it didnt look like it was going to be and appearances are everything, especially in food

Love our Lone Star! The food is excellent but the customer service is da bomb! We alternate at our office fun days between pizza, Mexican and bar-b-que. This is always a hit. The food is delicious, hot when I pick it up and they remember all the extras. Price wise they are very competitive. Get it!

Brisket wasn t that tender and lacked flavor the ribs pulled off the bone and also needed flavor the sausage wasn t all that the broccoli in the casserole was under cooked the Mac and cheese was good and the rolls were good and the portion size could have been better for the price and I also had a single of banana pudding it was ok

I was starving, and BBQ sounded like a great option. I was greeted as soon as I entered. I noticed the clean, Texas Style decor. I loved the menu because they had lots of food options. 2 or 3 meat combos, baked potato options, frito pies, kid meals, and family meals. I ordered the 3 meat combo. I had brisket, ribs, smoked sausage, broccoli and cheese casserole, green beans, baked beans, potato salad, banana pudding.. I told yall I was starving. All three meats were delicious. Smoked just right. You dont really need the BBQ sauce, but the sauce goes well with the meat. The broccoli and cheese casserole was good. The green beans could use a little salt, but it is decent. The beans have brisket in it. It was tasty as well. I dont eat potato salad, so I had my daughter try it. She said it was good but had a lot of mustard in it. The banana pudding was ok. I would prefer more wafers. Overall, it was a good experience. If you have people visiting you from another state thats never tried Texas BBQ, you can bring them to this restaurant. Vegetarian options: Macaroni and cheese, broccoli and cheese, potato salad, baked potatoes, corn, and green beans. Kid-friendliness: They offer kids meals.

First time here and I was immediately struck by how CLEAN and light the restaurant is! And my brisket was awesome...corn on the cib was just the right amount of sweet and the green beans fresh and tasty. The rolls are sheer heaven. Nice people, fast service. Try the spicy sauce!

My wife and I spend countless hours driving around the DFW Metroplex in search of great new places to dine. Today we tried Lone Star BBQ in Fort Worth. It is rare to find a new eatery where there is not at least one weak item somewhere in the mix. Not the case here. Lone Star BBQ serves quality cuts of meat, smoked and seasoned to perfection, the sides are all excellent, and the sauce? OMG! When I die, I want to buried face down in their BBQ sauce! To top it all off, the young man serving us was friendly, cheerful, and courteous - somewhat of a rarity these days. I highly recommend Lone Star BBQ - they certainly gained a couple of new repeat customers with us!

Ordered day before Thanksgiving. They Forgot sausage on my $90 Family order freaking ridiculous . I didnt think was my job to check if anything was missing.Thanksgiving they where closed so I couldnt go pick up the missing meat.Called Lone Star BBQ when they where back open..They told me they cant refund the missing meat or let me pick it up the meat they forgot to put in my order.... Been coming here for years getting meals for the family on holidays never had a issue.Looks like a whole knew staff that dont have there shi* together .. Wont be back.....

I m in town for a month with work. I m tired of eating out and no place sounds good. I stopped in here and was pleasantly surprised. Food was really good and the people here are super nice. The young man behind the counter is by far the most respectful and pleasant servers I ve met while here. This place will definitely be on my go to places when I m in town.
