Excellent place, I drop in often and they always have what I want alcohol or not. Live bands great location right next to the new resturaunt opening soon Tres Amigos. Its always nice and cool in there with pool table, patio and great people..

Drinks and atmosphere is great but the bartender is a giant douche for no reason. We gave a tip of at least 100 in tips too... never coming back again. Everytime he game me a drink he slammed it down and looked like he was about to fight me..

Really rating this primarily for the MONDAY NIGHT KARAOKE. But Cody at the bar was a good & efficient Bartender. You can bring in food (several options on the same street), but they offer nothing but chips & slim-jims. Still, a very relaxed place, w/ a younger eclectic crowd, ABOVE AVERAGE SOUND SYSTEM and terrific host! You will get in 3-4 songs all night (if lucky). Good solid 4 (could be a 5 if they had decent food and a waitress or 2). BTW, terrific patio. Ill be back! First few singers win a free well drink... starts about 9:30

I went with a group of friends and before we left the bartender pressured and bullied my friend into leaving a tip on his card when he had already left a cash tip on the table. He was very agressive. It was very rude and we left feeling very disrespected and uncomfortable. Will not be returning.

This place is a dark and inviting bar with dive bar feels. The bartenders here make you feel welcome and invited. And the decor is eclectic if not bohemian. This easily has become one of my number one haunts on Magnolia.

Local hang. Karaoke. Pool. I have had some of the most interesting conversations on the patio. Never left for more than $30. Dont bring expectations or thinking youll get things your way. The Owl is what it is and they like it like that. I do too!

Worst customer service experience ever! My wife, brother & I just moved out here from California, since weve been here we have not run into anyone rude until last night. Not only did he make us feel very uncomfortable but he also made us all decide to never come back. When asked for a recommended beer he said we have 70, get up & go look, so I did. We had already got 3 drinks & all wanted another round maybe a shot for my brothers bday. I asked to try a sample of a TX beers on tap & I liked it but my wife didnt I asked for another TX beer & the bartender said, are you going to buy a drink or just keep asking for samples because my boss charges for samples. I felt obligated to buy the beer that my wife didnt even like. You should never assume that we know all the drinks because again we are not from TX. We left a 2$ for the 2 samples we tried. Weve never recieved this type of service from a TX bar & that was the last dollar we spend. We will continue to look for a lesbian friendly, veteran friendly bar.

Bohemian crowd. Would be cool, but the bartender(cody brackeen) is just rude and hateful. If youre not a craft beer expert, he will belittle you for it and will give you a huge attitude just for asking. Ive seen and heard this from multiple people. Ive never been to a place with such an incompetent staff. Definitely dont recommend.

It was our first time here. The bar looked like a chill place and we probably would have had a nice night there but the bartender made sure that would not happen. She was very rude and dismissive to my husband and I. She made it a point to make us feel unwelcome and would not serve us when we ordered. Some friends brought us here because it s where they usually hang out. They were very embarrassed. Needless to say we will never be back and hope for the owners sake that they re-evaluate the staff they allow to serve out of this establishment

Great place, good crowd, really busy patio. Dog friendly, but look to the right when you walk in - the drink specials are posted on the board, and you see roughly twenty to thirty people a night asking whats that special for the day. Great karaoke, with singers genuinely skilled. Personal preference, I dont like kjs that say a dollar donation gets you moved up in line by one, but that has nothing to do with the establishment. Highly recommend.
