I had the absolute pleasure of dining at HG Sply Co, and cannot praise the experience enough! From the moment I arrived, Erica went out of her way to ensure everything was perfect. She seated me in the best spot outside, with a beautiful view and the perfect atmosphere to enjoy my meal. It was clear she genuinely cared about making sure I had an amazing experience. Towards the end, Kendall, my server, realized they ran out of an item I had ordered. Usually, this would be disappointing, but not here! Instead of just apologizing, they quickly found a creative solution that ending up elevating the meal and experience even more. I was blown away by their flexibility and attention to detail. Throughout my entire visit, Kendall and her service were impeccable. She anticipated my needs before I even had to ask, making me feel like a valued guest the whole time. If you re looking for a place that truly cares about its customers and offers an exceptional dining experience, this is it! I can t wait to come back again.

Julia is full of the perfect energy that sets THE MOST AMAZING Vibe. She was super helpful, kind and funny. The location is tucked behind most of the shops but perfectly placed on the river front (which Im sure gets great views as the sun comes across overhead). This is the perfect spot for a quick solo bite, laughs with friends or that perfect date spot step out in your comfy cas or your fancy fun and your dressed for the scene. Definitely adding the make your own bowl to my new list of things Ive gotta try here but Julia says everything is tasty so you cant go wrong with whatever you get. HG SPLY. I had the bison burger on 9/13/24 and suffered the worst food poisoning I ve ever had. It ruined me for the next 30+ hours. I won t be going back. (Two other members of my party also experienced hours of stomach cramping.)

I havent been here in over a year, but sadly, after my visit today, I probably wont be back. It has become too millennial. I dont want a mule made with ginger kambucha. It was flat and awful! Yes, they remade it with ginger beer, but yuck! When I went to pay with cash, I was informed they were now cashless. Well, thank goodness I had a card on me because it wasnt posted in the front. Bye bye. HG Sply. It was nice while it lasted.

Silverware and cups all came out dirty(with actual food fingerprints), asked for another cup, and it was also dirty... Honestly, the food isnt great. The server himself said somethings werent as good as they used to be. We were disappointed because it seemed like a great place to sit and chat.

I held a non-profit networking event on the patio at HG Sply. The manager was supportive of our plans and flexible in helping me pull together the vision for the event. The guests and I loved the bowl buffet and avocado hummus. Waiters and bar service were kind and helpful.

After FINALLY finding where this hidden gem was - tucked in a corner with no good signage to get you there, I enjoyed it and will go back again! Service was great from the very attentive bar staff as we did have to sit at the bar otherwise it was a 20-25 minute wait for 3 on a Saturday at 6PM. Menu is a little bit all over the page and pricey. However, totally worth the burger I got if you ask me. On the weekend dont even attempt to find parking in the slots that are like at store fronts or anything. Save yourself the trouble and park in the parking garage and go down plus you would just go down the elevator or stairs and hook a left to the front door thats super hard to find when you are looking for it. Patio is nice, sitting at the bar really wasnt bad but there are no purse hooks either. We did have a friend in our group who is pregnant and cannot drink but they offer mocktails if that interest you and she recommends them. Im a Coca-Cola fan not Pepsi and they have actual Coke products for those wondering. ;) Parking: The parking garage is well lit and easy to park in spots, I do have a truck. Parking out in the normal lot area near the restaurants and store fronts is a joke on the weekend to get a good spot. Save yourself and park in the garage.

Its a fantastic place to eat outside and the food punches easily above weight. Cochinita Nachos are among my favorite anywhere. Indoors its extremely loud and bustling, not a good place for conversation. The river lends a lot of ambiance and the patio is set up well to get a strong, cool breeze. Unfortunately the bar program is a major weak point. The cocktails were all bland, expensive, and similar, while the beer menu is short and exorbitantly priced.

My fiancé and I decided to stop by for a late afternoon snack. We were warmly greeted and seated promptly. Our server was incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. Wonderful ambience! The brunch menu is especially eclectic! So much so that I found myself panicking at the thought of having to choose one singular entree! The food was AH-MAZING! Do not pass up on the hash brown sticks, they are divine. The pancakes were unique and quite delicious. HG Supply is always a great place for friends and a great meal. Had a party of 9 and everything went well. Only thing I would suggest is maybe either updating the air conditioning system or having roll down shades to go over the windows/glass doors during the day to help with insulation. It was unbelievably hot in there and couldn t wait to eat and head out. Otherwise great place!

This location changed my mind! I ve been to the Trophy Club location 3 times and finally game up. It was terrible. WOW! What a difference this location is. I will definitely be coming back. Everything was a night and day difference from the service, to the food. Especially the food! I had the Turkey Club and I was pleasantly surprised. Great portion for the price with grate flavors. And it s definitely not some processed sandwich turkey. It s nice, thick handcarved turkey pieces. If you re in this area, definitely give it a try. It has a great patio overlooking the river. Very easy to park since the parking garage is right next to it. It s just a win if you re looking for a great meal with superior service. Great spot with list of menu items for those with dietary restrictions such as low carb, gluten free, or even vegetarian or dairy free. Tucked away in a sweet little corner right next to the Trinity River. We had reservations, so our wait time was non existent - a table was ready immediately upon checking in. Server was attentive and friendly, and knowledgeable of the menu. Water was always refilled in a timely manner. We started off with the charred chicken thigh starter which came diced on top of a delicious slaw with bits of roasted corn. Chicken had a great charred taste and the slaw with the white bbq aioli was delicious. For entrees I ordered the braised beef with mashed potatoes and the seasoned brussel spouts. Sprouts with the garlic honey and Korean chili flakes and mash were incredible, the braised beef was not the best I ve ever had in my life , but still fantastic and tender enough that I could easily shred it with two forks. My wife got the fried rice ( cauliflower rice ) bowl with grilled chicken breast and she loved it. She also ordered the HG Mule for a beverage. She loved it and said it hit her pretty fast , but I sampled it and found it underwhelming in terms of alcohol content. Then again, I am a bigger person and more tolerant. It tasted great though. Overall this place gets 5 stars as everything was on point and I d definitely come here again. All other patrons seems to be enjoying their time and meals as well. Great date night spot . I d recommend reserving outdoor dining during a cooler time of the day such as late evening to really enjoy the view of the river. Plenty of outdoor fans kept the patio cool enough that I didn t break a sweat in the summer weather. There is a free parking garage right around the corner.

Frightenly greasy and Salty. More than most nacho apps Ive gotten at other places. But make no mistake they tasted good and grease is to be expected when you combine pork and heaps of melted cheese. Bothered they dont have regular soda or sweet tea. The maine root stuff is not good to me at all. Yuck. Now we made it through the salty nachos but the Fries were just waaaaay too Salty. Im used to having salt but whew! I sent them back. DEEP FRIED honey mustard chicken sandwich was good but be warned. I tasted the chicken by itself. It was kinda bland so he slaw and pickles def kick it up a notch however the so called honey mustard is in the slaw they put on the sandwich. No other sauce comes on this so I asked for their garlic aoli. It added what I was needing, more flavor. As I was paying for my meal on their handheld I was distracted and didnt realize from the way I was turned that the waiter took my food away before I was done. Granted it was only 2 small bites of the sandwhich, there were still a significant amount of the saltLESS fries left for me to munch on. I was annoyed. I was headed to the parking garage and thought better of it and went back in to express my disappointment to the waiter. I simply said you may want to ask the customer for sure that theyre done first as i was turned at from you paying. He said he understood and apologized. Ive come here 3 times now and every time I am left satisfied and delighted. The food here is so indulgent but healthy. Also, the staff are very considerate, they accept tweaks to your dish. Lastly, the area is wonderful! There are so many shops and dessert places nearby. I definitely recommend visiting this restaurant if youre trying to eat healthier but want to go out.

Cochinita pibil tacos were terrible, massive bbq sauce and 6 pickles each, I am not making that number up. All I could taste was pickles and bbq sauce. Wifes burger was mediocre, carrot hummus was blah, sweet potato curry soup was just overpowered with curry, and I could not taste sweet potato at all. Kids chicken fried rice was too much sauce, no kid needs a gallon of sauce poured on their rice, no one needs it. Everything was too much sauce or no flavor at all. Find that mid point and maybe Ill go back. Otherwise, Ill spend my $180 elsewhere.

We take turns taking each of our dogs out on a date and this was Potters turn. After going to Dog Days at the FW botanical gardens we stopped by HG Supply. Ive been wanting to come for years since the first one popped up in Deep Ellum but somehow never made it. I had the chopped chicken kale salad (I was sold as soon as I read pork belly.) My husband had a burger. We both had the guava (maybe it was passion fruit?) margarita. Everything was so delicious and filling. I would definitely get the salad again, and see if they might swap the kale for spinach. I wish Id had space in my belly to order more. They were serving brunch and lunch when we went on a Saturday. The host was really sweet to come find me and Potter to bring us to our table after seating my husband. Our server, Austin was very attentive and brought Potter a fresh water bowl which she appreciated. I loved the view. We were in an enclosed patio and wished the outside seating was open because it couldnt have been a more beautiful day right along the river. Looking forward to going back!

I love HG Sply for their options! I have celiac and am normally limited to one or two items, or the salad. Here, I can eat practically everything on the menu! Free parking garage (no validation needed) with plenty of outdoor shopping on the walk to the restaurant. There is an inside bar and an outside bar with plenty of seating if you didnt make reservations. The Sply House Old Fashioned was good, had a slight cinnamon flavor and was not strong like a regular old fashioned. The bison burger was good, had a slight liver and onions flavor, and the fries were very good. The redfish tacos were good and the honey garlic brussel sprouts were very good. There is no dress code, there were a few kids and even someone with a dog on the patio.

Typically, my wife and I love the service here. Never had a complaint about the food and still dont. But we went yesterday and sat at the outdoor bar. Initially, we were met with the typical can I get you a drink or a starter and service was good. After our appetizers came, we had no utensils and waiting for over 5 minutes trying to get the bar tenders attention(there were 3), none of them would look our way so my wife had to go ask while our starter sat and got cold. When we were ready to order our entrees, the waiting game continued. The bar tenders would not pay attention. After about 10 minutes one of them finally came to the end of the bar to assist someone else and we had to flag her down. She took our order but never once made eye contact or seemed to want to be involved with us in any way. Food came, it was fantastic as usual. Again, I had to flag her down to ask for another drink. I asked for a beer refill and she said okay and then proceeded to walk right past the beer taps and I never got my beer. When it came time to get the check, we waited again for another long period. We noticed others at the bar getting great service and others, like ourselves, also being ignored and treated poorly. This was a rare chance for my wife and I to get out on a date without our toddler. The poor service started off our date night rough. I hope this was a one time thing with the poor service and would like to give it the benefit of the doubt. We will try again in the future but feel the outdoor bar service could use some refresher training in customer interaction. This was the first time in my life that I didnt leave a tip.

Always one of my favorite places to eat when I m in the area as I really do love my build-your-own bowl (I get sweet potato hash, broccoli, steak, an over-hard egg, and the garlic aioli on the side). I will say that the service for the lunch shift was a little standoffish, but maybe it was an off day. Be warned that you are most definitely paying for the quality of their ingredients. For my my bowl and one Moscow mule on the rocks was $46.

Our server Alex treated us to an amazing experience for my mom s birthday. She offered a birthday appetizer, never let our drinks run dry, and took our family photos at the end. While the food was healthy and delicious, and the vibes were immaculate (as always), it was the incredible service that took our night over the edge from good to great.
