I became very stressed out and super depressed trying to handle all the constant paperwork required to prove my disability case. The deadline was coming up when I finally called CHERMOL & Fishman. After almost 2 years of fighting Social Security on my disability benifits and getting nowhere, I contacted Chermol & Fishman, LLc for assistance. My case worker, Aimee, kept me in the loop as to progress and was there to answer any questions that I had. My attorney, Sandy, was there for me with updates as well. She called a week ahead of the hearing to let me know what to expect and what, if anything, I might need to bring with me. June 2022 Sandra Fambrough and Aimee French at Chermol & Fishman s Texas branch took on my SSDI case in midstream of the first Appeal stage. Before they accepted me, I had waited a year plus, been denied initially and upon Reconsideration. I was watching with frustration as my valid case stagnated in government bureaucracy. I felt flattened and hopeless. But Sandra was very professional, direct, honest, and kind. She patiently listened to my numerous concerns. Sandra explained everything very clearly so that I knew what to expect during my hearing. Aimee was also very friendly and supportive by phone. She was instrumental in the arduous organization of copious records and in the timely gathering of all my most recent medical records from doctors. To be honest, I felt abandoned and despondent when my local advocate abruptly quit and off-loaded my case to some person unknown to me in Texas (I m in CA) without so much as a warm introduction. First time I called they were quick to get me off the phone and they gave me a public National phone number for assistance that no longer worked. When I called back she said that was the only number she had and unless I sent an email to the Social Security Administration office that Ive been on hold for over 3 hours on and Ive been trying for months ever since they denied my claim, since that has cost me everything in my life, the woman that answer the phone let me know that this was an attorneys office and the only thing that she could do was help me with the resources that she had since I could not afford to become a client. I said okay, and waiting for her to give me another phone number or some other assistance that she just stated she could provide, she simply just hung up on me.
