Wow after reading the previous Reviews i expected a completely different experience! Glad the Negative BS below was wrong! First quickly served, beers within minutes, prompt and friendly server! Ordered the Wurst Board as an appetizer - Damn man this thing has two very flavorful sausages, Sauerkraut that is delicious!! Nothing like the negative reviews below.. big portions and tasty the stone ground mustard is definitely a star on the plate. Wife Ordered Fish and Chips, huge fish perfectly cooked, the Chips aka Fries Home Made hand cut and damn it they were good too! I ordered the Monte Cristo with chips, this thing is not only tasty but big.. So for those looking for something different or just a local Pub, with damn good food, an extremely friendly staff, a clean and family friendly atmosphere This is your place.. Go read my other reviews and see I am a fair to all, if it s good it is going to get a good review if it s bad, I don t review until a second visit! As Bad reviews without talking to Managers and Owners can ruin a good thing! So if ya have a bad experience speak to Management or the Owners then come back a few weeks later and if it still is bad don t go back but don t crap on the Business , This one got some harsh reviews from people who have truly not written that many great Reviews.. So I am honest, and Brutal, this place didn t get a fair shake in the reviews! It s much much better than some have said!

Service and atmosphere were pretty good for a busy Friday night but the food is among the worst we ve had. The Shepherd s pie was edible but very bland, the gravy had no flavor and it was 80% mash. We also ordered the Wurst Board but it was inedible. The sausage and the brat tasted BAD and both had a terrible, wet bread-like texture. The curry sauce was watery and bland and the sauerkraut was just warm cabbage, no zest or extra flavor. I really want businesses on the River Walk to do well and hopefully they can survive as a bar, but a big change is needed in the kitchen. It s also not British ! Very little of the menu or drink selection fits the theme.

Food was awful. They are understaffed like every other restaurant in Flo Mo. Absolute waste of time, money, and calories. Another restaurant at the Riverwalk that will close within months. I wanted this place to be good but I cannot recommend to my worst enemy.

We normally go on the other side for burgers or barbecue, but we wanted to check out Pennywise. I m glad we did. This was something refreshing! The mixed drinks from the bar tasted gourmet. The food, although atypical dish to get at some places, they put a secret. spin on theirs. The service was great. We never had to wait on anything. And our server Ayden Who I recommend will take care of you.The live music will suck you in, and the theater TV to watch your games on. I do believe I saw a pool table. There was a list of weeknight events on the table I m sure it s on their website. Just go! Parking: Free parking garage in the back of restaurant

I would rather starve than give another dime to this bar. The rudest staff. They were unhelpful. I was ignored multiple times when trying to place an order as if it was an inconvenience to be trying to buy something. If you can avoid this place, would recommend going to a different place in town. New! More Food

We usually eat dinner while seated at the bar when we go out. This was our first visit here. Most people were seated outdoors as it was a nice evening, so we were the only ones seated at the bar.The bartender was very busy and made it clear that we were a very large inconvenience to her. After dinner which was average at best we tried to order another drink, but after realizing that she had no intention of making our drinks we cancelled our order, and she seemed happy about that. It is not clear if this business is trying to be a pub or restaurant . I believe they are not doing well at either. I would recommend Shoal Creek or Verfs in Highland Village and Flower Mound.

Great atmosphere, friendly service. Fish and chips and reuban fries were really good but the British beef burger was fantastic. Chips with curry sauce were good but the chips were tossed in the sauce. Would prefer chips with a side of curry sauce. Also, no kids menu options so pricey to take family of 6.

Visited on Sunday at 12:30. Not at all busy. We ordered bangers & mash, fish & chips and a burger. All were fine, but about $5 too much for what you get. Service was good. May try again when they have music.

Good beer selection. You will not think you are in England, however, the vibe of the place was very nice. Reuben Fries were very tasty.

My friend and I checked out this place on a Friday night. They had live music from 7 to 10 on the patio. I had never been to the Riverwalk and it was such a nice atmosphere. There s TVs in the patio for sports too. They have all day Monday through Friday specials on drinks - $6 Irish mules and green tea shots were what we ended up having. The place is connected to underdogs next-door. Inside they have a ton of arcade games for the family. We got the Reuben fries that were really good and fish and chips and the butter chicken. The fish and chips was great and I would order it again. The butter chicken I would ve advertised more as a curry chicken. I barely ate much of it. Our server Peyton was really nice. At the end the all day special pricing got a bit confusing versus the happy hour pricing, but she was very accommodating and was able to help us figure it out.

Loved the vibe. Unique for what the Flower Mound area typically has to offer. Food was pub fare in the best way. Took me right back to Dublin.

It is a nice British pub. In my opinion, it is a good place for drinks but not food. We ordered bangers&mash and fish&chips. Both are 18.99$ each but the portion was very small. Bangers&Mash came with two small sausages and probably a cup of grainy mash potatoes. Fish&chip came with two medium pieces of fish and a pile of french fries. With the price, we were expecting a bigger portion for Banges&Mash. The taste is ok, not something that we will go back for. The service was good but the servers lacked knowledge about the food and drink menu. They have seating outside, it will be a good place for sitting during spring time.

I visited the pub on St. Patricks Day after waiting for almost a year for it to finally open. I had high hopes, but unfortunately, it was extremely disappointing. When I sat down, the waitress told me there was only one person working that day and that she worked at the pizza restaurant. She had no knowledge about the food or drinks at all (not her fault). She said that they were out of Guinness, green beer and fish and chips. On St. Patricks Day?? It was noon and not busy in the slightest. Absolutely crazy. I ordered an Irish drop shot, which was 1/3 of a beer and a shot of cream. For $8, thats just ridiculous. I then got the reuben fries, which was a comically small portion, especially for $15. I also got the shepherds pie, which came in the same size pan as the fries. It was the worst shepherds pie Ive ever had. It just tasted like plain ground beef topped with mashed potatoes. Hardly any flavor. I really wanted to like this place, but its just terrible and its being ran by a total clown. The only reason Im giving it two stars instead of one is because the server was great and tried her best given the absurd mismanagement.

Simply put, there isnt anything like this in Flower Mound and we are super excited! If you are looking for an authentic British Pub experience, look no further than Pennywise. They have three nitro taps (currently Guinness, Old Speckled Hen, and Bellhaven), tons of beers you would find in pubs across the pond, shuffleboard, pool, huge TVs for rugby, soccer, and other sports as well. With the weather warming up, its a perfect spot to enjoy some outside eating and drinking!
