MADD Shelter is a picnic shelter and a starting point for the Northshore Trail in Murrell Park. Large parking lot. Trail map. It s a bike and hiking trail. You have to be able to hear bikes and get out of their way. I saw bikers of all ages, but if you re hiking it s not the place for kids. Narrow dirt trail with some terrain. Toilets: Port-o-pot Picnic area: Picnic shelter structure in the shade next to large parking lot

It s a starting stir of some trails at Northshore trail near to the grapevine lake. You can find the trails being shared by riders, runners and walkers. Be careful when it rains as some sports can get muddy and slippery.

I have visited the North Shore Trail System twice this summer. On my first hike, I walked loops 5-7 in the evening. The trails were of moderate difficulty and were a little tougher than expected. I enjoyed the views and workout that 5-7 offered. On my second visit, I hiked loops 1-4. I enjoyed the views from this trail more. There are multiple good places along the trails to take a break to sit or walk to the shore. Flower Mound is beautiful and has great trail systems for mountain biking and hiking in or near its city limits. The Knob Hills bike trails on the far west side of Flower Mound are another excellent place to walk and enjoy natural scenery. Knob Hills trails are in a less developed setting, whereas the Northshore Trails connect a few parks and occasionally pass near residential neighborhoods.

I rode 1-3- took it easy since i am in recovery mode but enjoyed the nice flow of loops 1-3. Then walked loop 5 with my puppies- I ll hike that side next time. One direction flow helps everyone, all the people I met hiker, dog walkers and bikers all super friendly happy to share the trails. Bike repair station, well shaded on the trails and well marked signage.

Watch out for the mountain bike riders! If the trail is open, they will be riding. Walk the opposite direction the bikes go and keep alert. Everyone must share, but folks that ride MTB are f ing nuts and about as dumb.

Hiking tracks are common for walkers and mountain bikers. So the walkers have to be very careful. Otherwise there are plenty of chances of meeting accidents. The paths are not wide enough and are up and down. Since the bikes also move the track becomes very dusty and those having dust allergy will not relish. Even though it is having trees, it is very humid even in summer. It is not advisable to walk the hike with children. Brave adults will enjoy.

Predominantly bikers on this trail. I used it for hiking and it s a good trail for that. Very narrow so if you re with a group you ll have to walk in a line. The trails are one way but once we got tired we just turned around because it wasn t busy at all. we went around noon on a Saturday and saw maybe 5-10 other people the whole time. Really quiet and clean trail as well. I will say that because of how narrow it is when bikers are coming you basically have to jump into the bushes to get out of the way on certain points in the trail. I had my toddler and we wore her in a carrier. Strollers would not do well at all on this trail. Overall nice walking experience.

This is a great trail designed by D.O.R.B.A, that is mainly for mountain biking, but is also good for hiking too. There are a lot of bicycle riders here, so I would suggest taking the wrong way sign at the trailhead. This will allow you to see riders coming from the front and not from behind. I would also suggest bring hiking boots and plenty of water.
