My wife, mother and I are from out of town and had lunch two days ago and then lunch again today. The restaurant is in a really cute old house. Great decor and lots of beautiful live plants. The staff was very friendly and the service both days was excellent. Both days we had sandwiches and today my wife and I also had a house salad. All of our food was great. All the different breads and croissant of my club sandwich today is made in house. They have a lot of delicious looking desserts and they re all homemade. Today we got some cookies and they were great. We didn t buy one but that had the best looking cinnamon rolls I ve ever seen. Prices are very fair. Wish there was a restaurant in San Angelo like this where my mother lives and I wish there was a restaurant like this in southwest Austin where I live. Just can t say enough about this place! Parking: Free Parking and Handicap parking

A small group of coordinators went for a business lunch. The restaurant was clean, quiet, and inviting. The sandwiches had home style meats and were sliced thick. The bread was amazing and the soup delicious. The baked goods were warm and moist. We will go again and again.

My husband and I came here to escape the scorching hot sun, and to our surprise found a cute little spot that filled our little tummies. Just be aware if you get the tea it is not sweet. The workers were sweet and nice and the blonde waitress was quick to assist people and quick on her feet. Would definitely recommend!!

Dining at Sweet Thyme Kitchen was an absolute delight, easily deserving a five-star review! This charming little spot captivates you the moment you walk through the door, with its quaint décor and welcoming atmosphere. It s the perfect blend of coziness and culinary excellence. The staff at Sweet Thyme Kitchen are truly wonderful, providing attentive and friendly service that makes you feel appreciated and well-cared for throughout your visit. Now, let s talk about the food specifically, the adult grilled cheese. It s the bomb! Imagine the classic comfort food elevated with gourmet cheeses and a perfect blend of flavors that tickle your palate in the best way possible. It s a must-try for anyone visiting. Additionally, the bakery items at Sweet Thyme Kitchen are a highlight on their own. Each piece is a work of art, both in appearance and taste. From flaky pastries to moist, flavorful cakes, everything is baked to perfection. Pairing any of their baked goods with a cup of coffee makes for the perfect breakfast or afternoon treat. One of Abilene s hidden gems. This place is beautiful, inside and out. The staff were the nicest people ever. The cesar salad is amazing, the pasta and sandwiches were so good, and their desserts are very pretty and tasty. We got our food to-go, but we will definitely be dining in next time because the customer service and atmosphere is the best. The place is very cozy and very clean.

Yum-o! I thought I had been here before, but it turns out it was a different place. I got the watermelon salad and added chicken salad. What a perfect lunch! The watermelon was ripe, with no seeds, so texture was just right. The mozzarella balls were a good touch. Its common to see watermelon feta salads, but this version was better imo. The chicken salad was very good. The flavor was mild but still flavorful. The chicken was shredded with no nasty gristle. The celery pieces were 5 as someone who hates celery, I didnt mind it at all this time. I LOVED the honeydew agua fresca. I ended up drinking one with lunch and buying one for the road! I also got a banana pudding to enjoy at home and wow....it was scrumptious. Cant wait to try more stuff!

The poached pear salad, chicken salad, key lime pie, and customer service were EXCELLENT!! Katy at the register was so courteous, friendly, and accommodating - a real hospitality professional! She managed a long line of waiting customers so smoothly and efficiently. These things combined helped compensate for the sparse air conditioning and hard, tiny stools at the high top tables. I wish we could have sat at a regular table.

There are those of us who consider food an essential experience. We enjoy varied, interesting, and complex flavors that work together in new and unexpected ways. Weve learned that food is something that you can touch, feel, smell, hear, and obviously taste. Sweet Thyme Kitchen, is for everyone but it is a haven for people who enjoy experiencing food. The things that set sweet time apart are the time, care, and thought that they put into their food. I find myself impressed by the list of things that they wont do. They wont use a delivery service because they cannot guarantee that the experience that they mean for you to have wont be interrupted or ruined by poor delivery or the time that it takes to get to you. They dont purchase from gigantic corporate food service providers but instead buy fresh, local ingredients every single day. Their food isnt just nutrients for your body to process. It is art. Their care and attention to detail and the joy that exists inside of this little cafe is something that has to be experienced to really understand what makes Sweet Thyme Kitchen the best restaurant in Abilene.

SHE HAS GLUTEN-FREE FOOD!!! YAY!!! These restaurants in Abilene act like everyone eats the same. That nobody has to eat differently for health reasons or just because they want to be healthier. Its sad because most of the places I like, I cant eat at. Hardly any are vegan and only two (that I know of) offer gluten-free bread. This young lady here though, she offers more gluten-free products then any other place in town. She told me herself she didnt want to leave us out. So I salute her. Thank u for thinking of us

Delicious lunch options! The special was chicken salad on a homemade pretzel roll, and it was excellent. Their poached pear salad was also great. I took a scone home for breakfast, and I plan to go back to try more of their breakfast options. Cute atmosphere and very fast service.

This is a new one of my favorite places for lunch downtown. The soups are always fresh, I have tried two sandwiches and they were both great. I also like the asparagus and sweet pea frittata with tomato basil relish. I have only tried one dessert, but it was amazing. Great atmosphere, the management is super nice and checked on how I liked my food and even have me an extra great one day. You have to check this place out if your in Abilene

Ummm good... The Poached Pear Salad, the Italian Sausage quiche/frittata not sure but tastes delish... The ham sandwich (THICK slices of ham), the Blueberry Bread Pudding (fresh blueberries), the Mile High Chocolate Chip Cookie ALL WERE AMAZING!!! The cinnamon rolls came out while were there and they looked so scrumptious the made our mouths water. Next time yes the will be a next time.

This was an unexpected treat! Ive seen this on the way to work and stopped in one day. It is clean and inviting. The aroma was divine and hits you as soon as you walk in. I love the Vanilla Bean Scones. The owners are friendly. My new favorite breakfast stop.

Great little spot! Best scones and quiche in town. Good coffee and cinnamon rolls. Big, moist coconut macaroons. Clean and has more seating inside than youd expect. They have high chairs for your little ones (but no changing table in the bathroom). The owners are super nice and welcoming. Will definitely be back. Cant wait to try them for lunch!
