I came here to pick up my lunch and NO ONE offered to help me as I stood at the hostess stand. There are no signs posted to direct me as to where to pick up a to-go order. It s been about 5 minutes now. They see me, it s a very small location. They ve looked in my face. This is a very poor customer experience. I will not visit this place again. Finally someone yelled my name and held my order up on the air.

We ordered 2 different rolls, calamari and gyoza Togo. One rolls was good rolled great. But everything else was so disappointing. Our second roll was rolled very sloppy and twice the size it should have been. This made it very hard to eat. They used dirty grease when frying the gyoza and calamari. The calamari was also inedible it was more like a tuff piece of rubber. Will not be trying them again.

I got the sushi bento box as takeout from Tsunami and it was delicious!! Definitely great value for money, I could barely finish half the box. The cucumber salad was really crisp and refreshing, gyoza were yummy, and the rolls were all super fresh and delicious. My order was completed super fast and it was an easy pickup. I would definitely order from here again.

A hidden jewel!!! Tucked away in Flower Mound, this is by far one of the best authentic sushi restaurants. Very clean, nice atmosphere with friendly staff that serves authentic Japanese cuisine with big portions at good prices. I was impressed how good and large the makimono (rolls) were... everything from the miso soup to the sashimi salad were so delicious. I think we just found our new favorite sushi restaurant!!

I especially like the cat soy sauce containers. Went for my daughters birthday and she was thrilled with a free mochi ice cream. Definitely recommend!

We were planning on going to Tomo Sushi which is our favorite in town, but they were closed so we came here to celebrate my moms birthday since she wanted sushi. Took a gamble since we hadnt been before. We felt so badly that this was the experience we gave her. The waiter was the worst one weve probably ever had in our lives - extremely rude and unfriendly. We had an empty soy sauce bottle and told him and he grudgingly replaced it with the one from the table next to us. That one was empty too and we told him when he came back and he refuted back no its not I just checked it! We calmly told him it was in fact empty. He checked it at the table and lo and behold, empty. Didnt apologize, just stormed off to refill it and when he finally brought it back, he put it on the table and walked off without a word. The sushi was not good either. The rolls were huge and all fell apart while trying to eat them. Could barely fit each piece in our mouths. Waiter again just put the rolls on the table and walked off - didnt tell us which roll was which, something simple that every other sushi restaurant does nor did he ever ask if we needed anything throughout the entire dinner. Must note it was not busy as we were the only people there on a Sunday night. We still feel so terrible for my sweet mom that this horrible experience was her birthday dinner. Never returning.

We really enjoy this small intimate restaurant. We are always greeted and the food is consistent. Fish always tastes fresh. Love the miso soup, seaweed salad. Shrimp tempura roll and California roll is very good. Never a mistake with my food allergy. Togo items are packed with great attention to detail with cardboard at the bottom to the bag for support. Only criticism is the tempura breading is off - it s too heavy.

The sushi was extremely disappointing. I got two veggie rolls which were so huge that they were hard to pick up with chopsticks, dunk in soy sauce, and get into my mouth without falling apart. They were also badly/loosely rolled so that contributed to them falling apart. The two veggie rolls were also different from each other so I suspect they just threw whatever they had together, as opposed to having a standardized roll. This is important because you wouldn t get the same thing the next time you go in if you happened to like the food. My dining companion got a tuna roll and a salmon roll which looked like chopped up cuts of fish. The only redeeming part of our meal was the salad and miso soup, which built us up in order for us to be let down in a big way. I would definitely never go here again. Vegetarian options: Not a lot of variety and what they did have was not good.

This place is my go to for sushi all the time. I will say that the photos dont do it justice. This is my to go order and the food is always AMAZING! I always get the Ahi Tower, highly recommend it. For newbies that are kicking the tires, start with the California Rolls. One order is about 12 pieces. Another starter that I enjoy is the Tuna Tatami. Its seared tuna with mango and cucumber slices. There are so many other awesome choices too. These 3 are my normal order and they always hit the spot. Guess next time I am in the restaurant I will get the better pictures uploaded. Highly recommend this place.

We stumbled across this small little sushi restaurant and decided to give it a try. We were seated very quickly and the man took our drink order immediately. Service started out super quick. He was not super friendly but made up for that with his quickness, that was until he took a phone call that lasted forever and all service stopped. The food was good. Fresh but fast. However no one working besides the one waiter apparently could do anything in the dining area. All other groups has left and it was only us left. We were ready to leave for 20 minutes or so while he sat on the phone and everyone else stared at us. It was very frustrating, they were set to close in 30 minutes for their break time and we just wanted to go. I think we will try one of the other sushi places around the area so we don t get in that awkward situation again.

Of course everyone wants to go to the new sushi place down the street from here which we did and I am so glad that they didnt have enough chairs for the sushi bar and it was so hot and gross inside so we left and came here. Best decision if the day. The temperature, atmosphere, service and food were all amazing. So much so that I went back the next day with someone else. Food is always great here. Highly recommend. We ve been coming here for years and unfortunately today was the first time that we asked for our normal table (seats 4) for a party of 2. The waiter told us we could not sit there because it was a table meant for 4 people. He sat us in a table for 2, which makes sense even though they were not busy. I was okay with that. However, the waiter then proceeds to seat the next 4 parties (all parties of 2) at tables meant for parties of 4. Unfortunate. We moved 30min away and still drive here for sushi. Not sure we will be returning.

never before this experience have i ever left a sushi restaurant hungry. my group was sat for over an hour and a half and i only received one of the two rolls I ordered (and my 2nd roll was literally a california roll - the simplest item we ordered). it took over half an hour to receive the appetizers and another 30 to receive our first rolls. i ended up canceling my last roll because everyone at my table had eaten and we had been there for almost 2 hours at that point. what was received tasted fairly good compared to other sushi restaurants, however it was difficult to eat the rolls due to the sheer size of the individual pieces. if you enjoy unhinging your jaw to eat sushi that you waited an eternity for, this is the place for you. may be a better experience if they just made the rolls smaller and did less UberEats (to focus more on the dine-in customers).

Wow is all I can say. We are sush lovers - have had anywhere from the most exotic to the most basic - had it all. That being said we decided to try here on a whim and glad we did! Tried one of the rice free rolls - The Caribbean and this thing was huge! Oh, and tasty too. Unbelievably they had fresh Toro and boy that is a find and a treat - and it was! The sashimi was fresh, tasty and just overall good...Can I say enough times tasty and good?? Well definitely be back - Im ready for more. Our price range is for what we eat - we love good sushi and will pay for it, and there are great/ amazing local rolls for a very reasonable price - we had one and it was the bomb too.

After trying several sushi/Chinese/Asian style restaurants in the area, this has been my favorite by far! I ordered carryout on my way home from work; when I went inside I was immediately sad I wasnt able to stay and eat. Its dark and intimate and felt very inviting. The staff were friendly while I waited for and received my food, keeping up smiles despite the dinner rush. The food was delicious, and still nice and hot by the time I got home and walked my dog before eating. The prices were reasonable and portions were larger than I expected - I was pleasantly surprised when my entree was a full meal that came with a salad, rice and some pickles! I will definitely be coming back here again.

Staff was friendly, and I thought that the little cushions on the benches were a nice touch. I had the combination poke, which had salmon, tuna, yellow tail, and one other fish. Our go to place for great sushi! Tried the Uptown roll this time and it is at the top of our favorites list along with the dragon roll and the caterpillar roll. The staff here is so very friendly and really make you feel welcome. They work hard and serve beautiful creations of fresh sushi. They do a great take out business and have pretty fast service for a sushi restaurant. We love it!!!

This place is NOT for those with food allergies/sensitivities. I asked for a spicy salmon and avocado roll, along with a cucumber salad. I let them know that I have a sesame allergy so there could not be any sesame seeds or sesame oil in my food. I also cannot eat gluten so I asked them to make sure that there were no gluten ingredients in my food. When I got my food there were sesame seeds on the cucumber salad, and the roll was plain salmon with avocado, not spicy. I requested for the food to be fixed and I saw one of the sushi chefs attempting to remove the sesame seeds off of the cucumber salad until someone told him to make a new one. I was truly shocked to see the chef attempting to pick off the sesame seeds with the intention of returning the same food to me. The second sushi roll I got was a spicy salmon but missing avocado, however at this point I did not want to wait for another correction so I took it and did not say anything about that. After leaving with my to-go order, I realized that the imitation crab on top of my cucumber salad contained wheat, and my sushi roll had a sesame taste which I suspect could be from sesame oil although I triple checked with the chef to make sure there was none in there. For those who dont worry about food allergies or sensitivities, this place is likely fine for you. For those of us who do, I would highly advise not dining here. They do not take it seriously or have much knowledge about allergy ingredients in their food.

Sushi was good, however it wasnt worth the wait. The staff is slow and unobserved. After my fiancée and I being seated, it took 30 minutes to get our drink order. We placed our drink and food order at the same time since we had ample time to find what we wanted. We waited at least another 20 minutes until our food arrived. We once again had to ask for our drinks. So the food, was good, but the service was unsatisfactory.

Genuinely my favorite place of all time to get sushi, and the only one I will ever recommend to anyone. The prices are very reasonable for sushi. I like to try multiple places to find out which will be my go to and Tsunami has beat them all. To this day there has not been one restaurant that I think has had more fair prices and consistent portions as Tsunami. If your looking for amazing quality food and equally as amazing staff this is the place for you.

It was barely our second visit there, having eaten at Tsunami Sushi 3 months prior. Yet the hostess remembered us, which I thought was amazing. The portions are generous, the sushi is delicious, and the service is great. It s one of my top two places for sushi with my family. The restaurant is cute and it s always a relaxing place to eat. I highly recommend it and I am looking forward to going back. I won t wait 3 months to do so.

This restaurant is AMAZING. I cannot believe how quick the service is. My friends and I came for a birthday celebration, and they accommodated us according to COVID guidelines and made sure our experience was amazing. DO NOT eat here if you care much about hygiene. The owner or chef is always smoking out in the back area by the pond then comes back in to prepare food without washing his hands. I wish I can give 0 stars but I cant. I used to like the place until I saw how dirty and filthy this place was.

Husband and I were looking for a quick place to eat while running errands. We were craving some sushi. Pulled in and noticed they werent officially opened for another hour. Sweet woman opened the door and asked us to give them 5 mins. They were so kind and the sushi was delicious plus generous size portions! Very clean, beautiful inside too!
