Ordered clsssic Eggs Benedict took 1 bite, bread wasn t fresh (hard) canadian bacon was chewy, immediately sent it back with hostess..my husband ate oatmeal (runny) asked for ticket to pay for oatmeal, manager came over and reprimanded the host in front of us for not allowing her to see if we had eaten more than 1 bite before he trashed it

Rude owners who don t want your comments. . Had small and large OJ choices on menu and I asked for a small for $3 . Said no I had to have the large $8 . Small was for children(didn t say that) . Then offered fruit as an option instead of potatoes, so I said fruit and was told it was $3 more(again it didn t say that) . Told owners their menu was a bait and switch and they told me to then don t bother coming back . Best choice I was offered there. Good was bland and not very warm

I have been coming here for 3 years. With in this past year the new owners have kept the same menu but skimped on the quality and the ingredients of the food :( I use to get chicken and waffles here with their delicious spicy honey jam sauce on top of a juicy fried chicken with gravy and fluffy waffle. Now you get a thin piece of baked chicken and a side of gravy on top of a dry waffle. The banana Nutella waffle use to come with a good amount of Nutella now it comes with a very light drizzle of Nutella and a small tea cup of syrup? Today was our last day coming here after Sunday church. Very sad. Miss the old owners.

From the moment we walked in we knew we were in the right place! Warmly greeted at the door and promptly greeted by our server Suzette. The food was great and very reasonably priced! We attempted to go to a different place on the square at first, because of their high reviews, but we were turned off by the rude attitude of the place. So happy that happened and we came to Morning Edition instead!! We will definitely be back!

Was one of my favorite places to eat. Theres room for minor improvements. Should have received a spoon or a stirrer for the coffee and the pancakes came out without any syrup. Taste is subjective but the food was much better a couple of years ago. Server was friendly.

Attaching the screenshot of my previous review (from 2 years ago) and updating my review. Not the amazing family atmosphere anymore. The crew is not the happy team they once had; they are nowhere near as kind and professional, and they keep changing often. I can see their dissatisfaction, which then gets reflected in their service. Food is not as great anymore, for example the Reuben is now just a few slices of beef, as opposed to the great chunk of beef we had before. Cutting cost? Yes. Cutting deliciousness too? Absolutely. The plates are not as clean, and some of the items that used to come for free as a side are not free anymore. Where is that amazing hot sauce for example? Soon, they will get rid of the kids books too, because, well, renewing them costs money. The new owners are approaching this place purely as a finance exercise. Hence missing the value of non-financial assets that they once had, which were actually driving the finance too! Hence, this place continues to go downhill. I am sorry for Flower Mound.

Ordered a classic style cheese burger online for convenience. Menu online lists out everything thats on the burger, but it doesnt mention bacon. I did customize my burger by not having tomatoes on it. If I knew it also came with bacon, I wouldve taken it off as well. First time and possibly last time coming here. Please fix your menu.

The place has changed since the last owner but the food is good. The people who rate this place 5 stars never been to a real good breakfast place. We ordered Benedict and we could not even cut the english muffins with steak knifes. That is how hard they were. I ve been here a couple of times now. Both experiences were great. Attentive service. The food is flavorful but classic. Recently gluten free (following a low FODMAP diet, and there are decent choices. Gluten free pancakes are pretty good! A chill environment even when it gets busier. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options aren t marked but are easy to pick out on the menu. Anything with meat is obvious. No vegan options Dietary restrictions: They have vegetarian, pescatarian, and red meat-free options. Kid-friendliness: I don t have kids but there are always lots of people in there with kids. They definitely have high chairs, unsure if they gave slings but I would assume so. They also have a kids menu, but lots of the regular menu items would be kid palate-friendly, too.

Ever since this place was sold and the new owner fired all the old server staff (about a year ago now) it has not been the same. The service quality is no where near the same and the quality of the food has gone down with the prices going up. Not a good formula for the customer. If the new owner wanted to make so many sweeping changes they should have also changed the name of the restaurant rather than tricking folks into thinking it s the same place it s always been. Highly recommend Berries and Batter. It s much busier and you have to wait for a table but at least it s worth it and service there is excellent.

In the heart of Flower Mound with a great park right outside you came walk off your big breakfast, which I found to awesome. This is a very nice place with good people who want to take care of you. Eat here at your own risk. If anything goes wrong, all youll get is an empty apology. This was our first visit and our orders were taken shortly after we were seated. About 25 minutes later, the server apologized that the orders were lost and needed us to repeat our orders. No compensation was offered except to say that the kitchen would prioritize our order next. After another 25 minutes, still no food. This time the excuse was that the kitchen was too busy. That made no sense as everyone around us was served and left. The manager offered drinks but nothing else. We left without eating. Once delayed with corrective action, I can forgive. But twice delayed with only empty apologies and no correction is unacceptable.

Horrible service. Our server said the kitchen lost our ticket order 20 minutes after we placed it. We had to repeat them our order again a second time. At this point, youd expect your repeated order to be placed at the front of the queue, right? Wrong. We waited another 25 minutes. Still no food after being seated for 45 minutes. We called over the manager. Pure excuses. Kitchen lost the order Kitchen is behind peak hours, very busy. No compensation, no curtesy. Poor management. Ive never eaten there, and never plan to eat there.

The new breakfast prices seem high to me - but perhaps its time to think of breakfast as a major meal, worthy of shelling out. We have been coming to M.E. for many years, but are now looking for a new breakfast restaurant. The new owner is nice enough, but he nickles and dimes you (actually $1 or more!) for every little thing which most places wouldnt charge you at all for. For example, a second slice of toast with my eggs is $4?!? They charge for jelly, ranch dressing.. and it leaves a really bad taste in my mouth. Pretty soon, I expect to be charged for salt, pepper, and ice. Also, the atmosphere has gotten strange. It had a clean, minimalist farmhouse atmosphere before, but now there are tacky silk flowers hanging from the ceiling, and astroturf on the wall with hello gorgeous in neon on the wall. The music piping through used to be so uplifting.. now its offensive. I feel like Im eating in a teenagers bedroom. The staff is friendly and the food is good, so it pains me to have to go somewhere else now after church. I believe it is the above reasons why business has dropped so dramatically. We used to have to wait 15 minutes to get in..Now you can walk in and sit down with no wait. That is a stark indication that the most recent business decisions are rubbing a lot of people the wrong way. Dietary restrictions: They can honor your dietary restrictions but youll have to pay out the nose --about double-- for it. :(

Feb2024: 5 : I would recommend this restaurant location and the workers who we interacted with at the restaurant. I visited this location as a result of an invitation from the neighbors of our walking group. We coordinated this location and came here for breakfast. The parking in the area is reasonable and there appeared to be several handicap parking spots available in the area as well. The parking lot was suitable for large vehicles to move without difficulty. Upon entry to the restaurant, I was greeted and seated quickly. I advised that I was waiting for several others to arrive before placing my order. Soon after, I placed my order and received my food in a timely fashion. My order was accurate as well as those of my friends eating with me. We ordered a variety of menu items that were tasty and arrived freshly prepared.

I dont write reviews without first going directly to the restaurant to address. But its been 48 hrs and no reply or acknowledgement to my email. We hadnt been in a while but loved this place and recommend to everyone we can. We love small business. We came in Sunday 12/17/23 for breakfast Ck 42. We were greeted and seated quickly. First one of the menus we were given was sticky and dripping honey or something, we got that exchanged. Then we noticed mimosas on the menu! New from previous visits, We attempted to order but were advised they couldnt til 10A (no issue there thats TX State law, restaurant cannot control). Third trying to order food, we asked to sub hashbrowns for one of the meats and server went to ask, and came back and told us no. Pity we would have been glad to pay a small upcharge as it wasnt part of a listed dish. Hope it was just a misunderstanding. Finally, I ordered the ME Egg sandwich add bacon. Server repeated back as a burger, which I politely advised it was the egg sandwich add bacon for extra charge. Which she confirmed. Then when the food came I received a sandwich that wasnt what I ordered. Server acknowledged responsibility and put in my order. But it by the time it got out, most of our party was done eating and sandwich appeared to be missing spicy mayo that was advertised. And upon getting home and reviewing the bill it seems we were still charged for the upcharge on adding the bacon. To be clear I wouldnt expect the full check to be comped. Theyve got to run a business, and 3/4 of us got exactly what was ordered. But some small gesture of goodwill would have definitely been appreciated. Maybe it was just an off day, but, definitely left a bit to be desired for my meal.

Excellent food with amazing staff and service. Would highly recommend. My only complaint is that I waited so long to try it. **UPDATE** After years of eating at morning edition every week we found the recent updates to be very disappointing. The staff has turned over completely and the service is not great any more. They changed the menu (for the worse in my opinion) which removed our favorite dishes. The new manager or owner was very unfriendly. Finally, they began including a lot of nuts which prevents my daughter from eating there any longer. Not their fault but another reason for us to stop eating there. Hope they can return the good days of excellent service and food at some point in the future as it was our favorite place to eat.

Wonderful experience. I had eggs Benedict with oatmeal side. Excellent. Wife had pancakes, said they are the best shes ever had. Coffee is Segafredo, a superior coffee. Service very friendly and attentive. Beautiful restaurant. Will definitely be back.

We have been going to morning edition for years now, since we live just down the road, it s one of our go to spots because of the delicious food, and friendly atmosphere. We never leave disappointed. This time was extra special because while we were talking, they discovered it was my son s first birthday, and brought out a birthday pancake for him, and sang happy birthday! It was so sweet and thoughtful. We ve always loved morning edition, and will continue to be faithful customers! If you are looking for a brunch place, this is the place to go!

Its a good small place, they have outside seating. My fiance and I both got the B&G plate, she likes her hash browns really crispy where I like mine a little under done. They were good for me, they could have used a bit more seasoning for the hash browns. The gravy was smooth and creamy for the biscuits. The biscuits were dense and tasty. Really quick after giving the order. Passing by a Couple tables saw massive pancakes they took an entire up a 10 plate. They want to please the guest.

New review: .... I am beyond sad that this place has changed so much. This used to be our place. Just like Friends and their coffee shop. Or Seinfelds diner or Frasier and Neils coffee shop. But we unfortunately we will not be back. The staff has turned over completely. The food is cold or lukewarm. I miss seeing the original owner, Jenna, walking her restaurant with pride. I miss all the original staff. This is no longer our place and not worth spending the money. Old review: We love this place! Staff is awesome, and food is always yummy. The right portions. Came in off the street based on a Google search. Ambience - typical open cafe setting with tons of space and tables. Clean and condiments on each table. Food- ordered the traditional breakfast. Bacon somewhat crispier than I like but that personal preference. Rest of the food was great. Enough portion though one more toast won t hurt. Also get rid of the sad arugula! Service-Excellent service! Hostess, waitress, buss girl all ask you for coffee refills! Was offered all the choices and was offered code and or water to go once meal concluded Overall - excellent place for breakfast. Parking: Parking right in front of the restaurant. Enough free space in the morning

I ve been coming to Morning Edition for awhile, always loved it. It had an amazingly positive staff and great food. But after what we saw happened to the employees, we will not be returning, our favorite server Riley quit that day along with a lot the staff it seemed. We witnessed extreme unprofessionalism when what looked like the owner having a very negative conversation with the staff, a few minutes later our server comes back and tells us she has to leave and can t handle the environment anymore. The staff is the reason we come, so if they don t feel comfortable coming back then neither do we.

Good brunch place to come with friends and family. Service was good considering they were on a wait and the place was full. We came on Sunday around 11 am and we were able to get a table very quickly. I ordered the chicken fried chicken with hash browns, eggs over medium and pancakes. It was good but the chicken could ve used more seasoning in the breading. I added some salt and pepper to it but it could ve used a little more seasoning. I also had the mimosa and it was delicious. Hash browns were nice and crispy and my eggs were cooked over medium to perfection. Pancakes were super moist, fluffy and a bunch of butter (very delicious). My friend ordered the Alamo Fire omelette with hash browns and French toast. She said it was delicious and she added some salsa to it. The French toast was great but they had a ton of butter on it so she had to dump it off to put syrup on it. She also had the Irish coffee which has Bailey s and Jameson which was super strong. She said it was good but needed to top off with coffee bc it was so strong! Overall it was a great experience since the server was very nice and attentive. I took one star off bc the chicken fried chicken breading could ve been seasoned a bit better. We would go back!

Been coming here for quite some time! Very nice and clean atmosphere. Staff are amazing food is great! I tried the apple pie French toast because of a review here. Definitely not disappointed at all! My kid devours the chicken & waffles. And honestly, I would too! Theyre soft-launching a bar (brunch alcohol offering? Separate location? Ikd) and offered free mimosas today! I normally dont drink but I accepted the offer. They added a strawberry slice which was a lovely touch. I hope there successful with this new offering!

Yum! My father and I eat breakfast here almost every Sunday. Such a pleasant staff and atmosphere. On Sunday you have to get there by 9:30 am to avoid a wait. After 9:30 am a local church service ends and they become busy. They have a great breakfast menu. I have never eaten lunch there, but my sister was visiting and due to the time change she ordered lunch instead of breakfast. She enjoyed the tuna salad sandwich. She drinks tea instead of coffee and they offered a variety of flavors. I ordered a peach and pecan waffle without pecans and it was yummy. What I really like about this restaurant is they put the butter on the food in the kitchen. You dont spend 5 mins spreading butter on your food and waving down a waitress/waiter for more. They utilize technology which makes the ordering and paying quick and simple. They dont take your card to the back, which Ive been told is a big deal in the UK. Food comes out fast. By the time I finish adding cream to my coffee my food is exiting the kitchen. If youre looking for delicious breakfast or lunch this is the place. They are nice, fast, yummy food, pleasant environment and my father and I enjoy walking Parker Square afterwards.

The restaurant was pretty busy but we only waited a few minutes for a table. Service was friendly, drinks never got low. But the kitchen was having some issues. Biscuits and gravy were served lukewarm but eggs were piping hot. Plates came out staggered, it was annoying to have a portion of your meal and have to wait a few minutes for the rest. Pancakes were bland. Chicken fried chicken was ok. Tater tots (odd option for breakfast potato) were great. We werent impressed enough to return.

You dont have to worry. We wont be back. Update: Very disappointed. We went for my husbands birthday and ordered the apple pie french toast. Been going here for a long time and today was the first time to send our plates back. The bread was hard. The pecans were so candied that it was a bad mouth feel. The owner came over and was so loud. Embarrassing. We ordered the B&G instead with over medium eggs and mine were darn Neary sunny side up. Biscuits had so little gravy that I struggled to scrape and off the plate. Wont be back.
