A friend recommended this place to us, we were in the area looking for a quick meal and we were not disappointed. There was plenty of inside and outside seating. Our food made it to our table quickly and everything was delicious. We will definitely be back to try more menu options! Yum Being in El Paso, I was in the mood for some Mexican. Taconeta hit the spot! I can t eat gluten but the gentleman taking orders said every taco was ok but to avoid the Brisket Confit. The fish and shrimp tacos could be grilled rather than fried. Let me tell you - that grilled shrimp taco was *devine*. I should be back to El Paso again in September and I m already planning on making Taconeta my first stop! I also got the Horchata to drink and it was very refreshing. I m picky with my Horchata but this one was solid. Will order that again as well. Hopefully I ll be back at dinner next time and can try one of the tasty looking margaritas. Shout out to the staff for being so friendly as well. 10/10

Stopped by for a few tacos today. Suadero is a no brainer, perfect mix of salty and savory. The limited time taco en Nogada is a nice change of pace and the owners (thankfully) insisted I try the Carnitas taco which is probably my favorite now. Staff was polite and made sure I had everything before I even had to ask. Thank you, I will be taking a nap now.

Food was good to great. The saudero and fish tacos were excellent. The carnitas okay. Loved the ejotes fried in tempura. The camote was interesting but very rich. Too much going on with the ali oli and everything else. The ordering, seating, waiting system is awkward if youve never been. Staff was friendly. Margarita was great. Beer selection good. As others have mentioned, it can be expensive for what you get.

Everything was delicious. Tried the Shrimp, brisket, and mushroom tacos. Also corn in a cup. Was a little different ordering first at the window, then walking in, but I liked it. Went in with a group of six, and I had picked a table in the back and started moving chairs to accommodate everybody, and one of the waiters walked by and asked if I would rather sit at a different section and he would move the chairs back for me. So that was really helpful. Once we sat down if you want something else(which you will), you can order straight from the table, which was nice. Definitely recommend!

Music was too loud this time around. We come here often and it s never as loud as it was. We politely asked the waiter if it could be lowered just a tad, as he was waking away he states no ma am we keep it this loud all the time. The food was amazing, tasty and different. I had two vegan dishes, the avocado toast and milpa bowl. Simply delicious. The rest concept gives you a cool hipster big city vibe. Highly recommended! Its a little uncomfortable to order outside (hot summer) but the staff does its best to accommodate you inside. Parking is challenging during lunch, but not impossible. The atmosphere was nice. the tables arent super close together. At the time I went around 330 it wasnt packed. The music volume was not too loud. I really liked the decor and colors. The food was delicious. We had almost every taco on the menu. My boyfriend was a fan of the Mushroom taco and I prefered the Suadero. Although all the tacos were good those two were our favorites. I cant even guess how many times I have been to Taconeta. It has been my absolute favorite place to eat in all of El Paso. Today was completely different. The service was insanely slow and up until now the elote en vaso was amazing. The corn used to actually tip the bowl. Now it is barely 1/4 cup of corn and the price is the same. I was told (with attitude) that customers were complaining that the corn was too filled. LOL. Terrible excuse to try to get away with shrinkflation. If people truly were complaining about the size so you cut it in half you should adjust the price to reflect that instead of continuing to charge $4 for 6 corn kernels. Ill definitely give this place another shot and hopefully today was a fluke but Ill be so sad if taconeta decides to start sucking

Found the tacos to be incredible!!!! My partner didn t enjoy the pollo tacos but I absolutely loved mine. The Suadero taco was one of the best tacos I ve ever had and so different! I love the marinade they used!!! Had an Asian inspired flavor. The Baja shrimp was just as delicious. I wanted to order more of both but was full after 2! The Maiz Azul beer is definitely worth a try. My only complaint is the ordering system. We stood in a 20+min line to order at the window outside and then you take your number inside and hope there s a table open. Once you re at the table, you can order more food and drink from the QR code. Weird process.

Came here mid afternoon on a Friday to grab a late lunch. This was a recommendation from a coworker since we are visiting from out of town. I was in El Paso for a conference and met up with local friends for lunch. They know I like trying new places when I visit and they suggested Taconeta. The menu looked fresh, diverse, and the photos looked tasty. I had the feeling I would get a meal that would satisfy and without being overwhelming. I ordered two tacos: Suadero Taco: Brisket Confit, Salsa Goku, Guacamole, Onions and cilantro. Pollo Taco: Achiote Marinated Grilled Chicken, Guacamole, Onion, Cilantro. I also ordered Mexican-Style Shrimp Cocktail: With Tomato, Clam Juice, Avocado, Cilantro, Cucumber, and Poached Shrimp. Served with Tostadas. For my drink I took the bartenders suggestion and had the Pepino Lime Agua Fresca. It went great with the food and helped bring down the El Paso heat! The only negative is the salsa wasnt hot. I like some spice in my tacos. We went during lunch time and sat at the bar, it made conversation difficult. I prefer a quieter atmosphere. Overall, I would visit again and try more items on the menu. Pick a quieter time and wait for a table. I wish I could remember the bartenders name, he was so cool.

Had 6 menu items, tacos, aguachile, and the tostada, all were amazing. Their beverages are also really nice, the spin on micheladas tastes great, their mexican lager and mezcal also great. All in all, very satisfied! Recommend to anyone that likes mexican food and wants a little twist on it! Price wise, i think it s totally fair. In europe they could easily charge 15$ more, honestly.

I am providing a review reflecting our experience and first of all customer service non-existent. I ordered the mushroom taco and Baja fish taco which I never got. I asked the server every 10 minutes where is my tacos. They always responded that it is coming. The manager never came to see what was going on and 40 minutes later I just told the waiter to refund me my money. I wouldn t recommend Taconeta to anyone. Customer service needs to get better and I never received an apology.

ONE DOWN fall, you CAN NOT ORDER AHEAD AND SIT down to eat in or outside of the restaurant. If you do, staff will give you an ugly look. Will continue to give you the look the whole time you are there. As if you just insulted them, for having the audacity to sit in their restaurant after ordering their food. Short after (Im assuming is the boss) came up to us, he was polite and said please next time wait in line to order if you plan on eating here. We do this so people dont jump ahead to get there food faster and so we dont waste to go boxes. FYI I still needed all my boxs except for one and my order was over $50. I get what the owner is saying , but most of us have a time limit during our lunch break. Majority of us are not doing it to jump the line, we are doing it to sit and enjoy our lunch in the short period of time just like everyone else. If we do have to wait for our to go order I suggest a better location for people to wait and not ask them to wait on the side by the parking lot, were cars are coming and going. I saw any elderly lady standing against the wall with another younger lady, they were standing there for a while. So the younger lady had to take the elderly lady back to the car so she had some where to sit..

Delicioso! Super fun taco spot. We had the saudero beef, fish taco, quesadillas de jamaica and refrescos de jamaica and pepino (cucumber) and lime. Service is friendly, food is excellent. Be sure to have the Tres Leche cake!! Prices are good

This restaurant never fails and strives to be the best in all that they do. Nevertheless, restaurants do run into issues during service. Last night I went for my wifes birthday and we initially got our appetizers and a few tacos but we were sitting around waiting for the majority of our tacos. After about a half an hour I mentioned it to the food runner and they immediately brought the remainder of our order and apologized profusely. Most people would complain and moan, but as a former food service employee, and family who currently owns a restaurant, I understand that not everything is going to run 100% every single night. Their approach after I brought it to their attention was highly professional. Most restaurants in El Paso blame the customer, they brought the remainder of the food and offered anything on the house.

I loved finding this place after a 4 day drive . Finally some healthy food. The parking is easy, staff are excellent in service and I feel good after eating it. Tired of over processed American food. The ingredients are quality, I really appreciate it. The style if the restaurant is great. I enjoy it from an artists perspective

The food is good but I came inside while my boyfriend ordered because it was freezing. There was about 3 empty tables so I sat down. I was told I had to stand until my bf ordered. There was no one in line after him and no reason to have someone stand with some many empty tables. If you re going to have people order in the freezing weather at least let them sit in the empty tables.
