We ate here while visiting with family in Texas. The food was excellent, and the service was quick and friendly. I had a hamburger, onion rings, and a peach iced tea that rocked this world! My only complaint (and this was not a big deal) would be how dark it is inside the restaurant I have been there more than a few times over the past several years, and I havent seen many changes in that aspect. Its a treat to eat here and everyone in our party enjoyed it.

Got greeted by a not so very friendly girl with tattoos on her neck. The food took about an hour to come out, and although it was fresh it wasn t up to the hype the food costed. Our waiter was nice but I feel upset our food took forever, oddly enough four tables who had gotten there after us were eating their meals. The manager not once apologized or made contact with us for the food taking long. Great American has lower their standards and quite frankly I won t be visiting this place again.

Ordered for takeout and the coleslaw was missing from the battered fish dish and also, the cheese and onions from the steakburger dish. Very disappointed, especially when these dishes have a higher cost than most places. Contacted the manager and she said she would credit the items missing the next time we patronized Great American Steakburger. NOT GOING BACK!!!

Excellent food and service, took my wife out after being in Omaha for a month. She was helping out with our newest grandchild. The last 2 times we ve ordered for takeout there s been issues. Paying $20.00 for a chicken fried steak and getting a tiny portion is just ridiculous. The baked potato not even cooked through. Used to be so big it took up the entire plate. Don t even get the sides of beans and cole slaw. Not happy!

We hadnt been at Great American Steakburger in years, and what a reminder of what we had missed! The food was amazing! My husband had the medallion steak plate, and I ordered their famous green chile cheeseburger, minus the cheese. Super-delicious! The restaurant itself was as welcoming as ever, and the waiter was friendly, polite, and attentive. Recommended! 5/5

My mom usually loves this place. Last night what a disappointment. Claudia was our server and she was honestly the worse server we ever had! She rarely came to our table to check on us... we had to call her by name to get service several times. When it came to paying, she gave us the check and then never came for the payment. I went up to her at the register where she stood at most of the time instead of trending to her customers. She stated that the guy we were with insists that hes paying, his mother gave me her card, I had to get rude and tell her to just take the payment. Then she she wouldnt give me the card and receipts, asked me if this was my name on the card. I finally snatched the card and receipt from her hand. Luckily my friends tipped her, of course... as soon as she got her tip she never came back to the table. I would NOT have tipped her. What a shame, we have alreadys enjoyed coming to this place, I even left a 5 star review for Iliana in the past. We will now only go to the Chop House, where the food and the service is consistently excellent.

We came in and it was not busy. We decided to share a plate and requested no bun, cheese and jalapeños on the side. That was the last time we saw our waitress. Our original steak burger was so salty and the waitress completely disregarded our request. A different waitress brought out our plate with no cheese no jalapeños and on a bun. Even if we wanted to complain or get it fixed we never saw her again! Had to ask a different waitress for our ticket!! Honestly worst service!!!

Been coming here for over a decade for family events and truly disappointed by the service offered today. Not sure if there s been a change in ownership or management as of lately but definitely a different rude atmosphere. Waited over 30 minutes to be seated when there were empty tables everywhere, and was met by a very aggressive and rude manager named Jordan. We did not feel valued and took our business elsewhere and will not be returning.

Celebrated my sisters birthday yesterday and asked to sit at the table next to the one they were going to seat us at because we didnt want to be under the fan and vent. The host was obviously bothered by this and tossed our cutlery on the table we had chosen. When the waiter showed up we got the same cold reception and about 4 tables who came in after us got their food first. We had to ask for refills because he never came to check on us. I used to eat here about 2 or 3 times a week. Now its once or twice a year. No management presence on the floor...just employees who like talking to each other but turn off when it comes to the customer. Do better GASH....

Food was okay, blue cheese burger and green chili burger. Sweet potato fries were under cooked. Original server was great, we mentioned we had a gift card, no problem. Part way through the meal they rotated sections. Second server is the reason for the low rating. Refused to take my VISA as payment without even leaving the table. My coworkers talked this place UP so needless to say I had high expectations. I came twice. Both times were sorely disappointing. I do not recommend the mushroom burger AT ALL. It was so slimy and undercooked, nor do I recommend their fresh rolls. The staff is friendly but I honestly get the weirdest vibe here. Also last time I came they gave me 8 fries. 8. I m not kidding. I had the blue cheese burger which was really good, my wife had the volcano burger which she said was good the only thing was it wasnt spicy and the sauce was only on one side of the burger, my daughter had the tortilla soup which she said was really good, my grandson had the Buffalo chicken sandwich and that one is always good and my stepson had the Cajun chicken sandwich which he was good. We ordered as appetizer the onions rings and they were awesome and delicious. Our waiter was great he did a great job attending us and keeping the non alcoholic drinks on full never empty. I will definitely come again and recommend this place good food and service.

Our server was very rude, while ordering I informed her I had a gluten allergy and asked if an item was gluten free and she said yes with a weird attitude. I came here to get some information for my husband. Because my husband isnt here due to personal reasons. But the manager I spoke to was really rude and was raising her voice. When all I asked in a calming manner was to see how I can get all the information she needs so my husband can send it to the company. And she kept saying and doing was accusing me of claim false information and false accusations. Like I wouldnt be coming over here if my husband never had worked here. Im glad my husband left the company. Now I know how his manager really is. I myself wouldnt even want to work with someone who doesnt know how to give off a friendly customer service or even know how to speak to another adult properly. As a manager myself, I know how to talk professionally to others in a well manner. I hope the workers there know there are better job opportunities than this place. Not happy at all not sure where to begin. They took over 30 just to get the order and another 45 minutes to bring out cold food. We sent some plates back for re-heating. So at the end of the day we end up spending almost 2 hours for a meal. They gave us a small discount, but that was not the point. Our server was extremely nice and we get it not his fault but when you get a person with an attitude just serving the drinks, there s got to be something wrong with the place. Had heard a lot of good reviews about this place and was excited to try. Upon coming in the host was amazing and very helpful. However 10-15 minutes passed and waited for a server to come and take our drinks no one came we saw several servers pass us and bring food out to tables near us still not one came to our table. We thought okay they are busy no problem we could wait a few more minutes however 10 more minutes passed and no one came. Then as we are we our deciding to leave a server approaches us and ask for drinks no apology for the wait or any greeting of any kind, okay that s fine she may have not known we were waiting. But we let her know we were just about to leave since we had been waiting for a while. She rudely snaps at us and says are you staying or going and proceeds to throw the straws on the table rudely. In that moment my family and I decided to leave due to her attitude. We would have loved to stayed and tried the food there was was really no problem with the wait however her attitude and service were the reason we left. This place is 3 stars, what makes it 4 is the taste of the food, its great. Management forces the servers to do the socialist/communist share tips policy. So you will have one working their butt off, one doing a 1/2 job, and two doing nothing. The food still tastes great, but the sandwich bread itself is no longer toasted. So if you order the brisket sandwich sloppy-joe style, everything breaks apart... unless you ask them to toast the bread both inside and out, and then sometimes they still dont toast the bread. The dinner platters are still the same great quality. Service is quick, and the restrooms have always been clean and stocked... well, the mens restroom always has. Plus, everyone always has a smile at the beginning of the experience. Just remember, that high tip you are giving that one server who is giving great service is having to be split with all the other servers who do nothing.

Would have been nice to order what I wanted to eat but as per our server we can only order what the restaurant will let you eat even if Im willing to pay EXTRA I was told no!!! WOW well they just ruined a great opportunity to have someone come in order and leave happy!!! I guess that GUEST satisfaction is not important here !!! WOW !! I will not recommend this place to anyone!!good luck!! Spike with manager nameless because she did not give a name and she explained that the OWNERS DONT CARE IF THEY LOOSE BUSINESS??? Wow!! She explained that the OWNERS dont want guest satisfaction She the manager was obviously nervous about the complaint of not being able to order what I want so what vould of been a 100 + meal went to 30.00 but as the Manager said the OWNERS Will not let her make her customers! Not GUESTS!!! HAPPY?? WO Well you list business today and also told her thats why Cattle Baron on Jo battle is now A HOOTERS !! She shrugged her shoulders!! Will not be back good luck!!

I ordered to go and when I sat down to eat my dinner, it was awful! The 3 burger orders came out too dry and leathery. My country fried steak, was dry and burnt as well. We were all disappointed because GASH used to be great but I think they are starting to put out bad food. I don t think I ll be ordering from them anymore

Service and atmosphere were good our food not so much. Grilled chicken was dry had to put bean broth so my mom could eat it. My sis in-law had asked for well done Steak but was also Drrryyy. My chicken fried steak was okay but brown gravy had no flavor, very bland. Weve been here before and this time it was a miss. We were a group of 10 so some of our food was cold. We understand steaks take longer and wouldnt have minded if some of the other food would have been served first. Suggest servers could ask. Overall, good company and service made it a good day.
