We enjoy dining here as a family on a regular basis. The atmosphere is always comfortable and pleasant. The salad bar is a definite favorite as it has something for everybody s taste, including 2 different, hearty soup selections each day. (The posole is the best!) We appreciate the kindness and efficiency of all our servers, but we d especially like to thank Omar for always making our dining experience extra special. He s welcoming, genuine and always on top of things, even small details like clearing our table of plates and trash as we enjoy our meal. We highly recommend Cattle Baron!

My very first time in Texas, my 1st meal in Texas, was from Cattle Barron El Paso (to go order). 1st and foremost, Charly is amazing! Shes like that favorite aunt you only see on holidays, therefore you cant wait until the next holiday! Her demeanor on the phone, then in person was beyond warm and welcoming, but truly appreciated!! The Grilled Sirloin Salad was awesome, and her recommendation for the house made smoked vinegarette was on point. She made sure to ask about bread...of course I want the bread!! Awesome also!! My trick for jetlag is mashed potatoes, dont ask me why, its just what I do, and those were also perfect! I will definitely come here again, hopefully for a longer stay so I can try the Prime Rib, eat at the bar where Charly is at, and get to know more about El Paso (and it didnt break the bank or my per diem!!) Great spot! I get cravings for grilled chicken when I travel. This place did not disappoint. It is so fresh, made to order, and flavorful. I was very very happy with my Rio Pollo. The bread and butter were just okay. I didn t have the urge to overstuff myself with bread. The service is awesome too. They are attentive without being overbearing.

One of the few restaurants on the east side of the mountain where i enjoy sitting down to eat, actually prefer CB over the three other steakhouses further up Airway Blvd. I appreciate that it s not pretentious, simply trying to serve up your average cut of steak the best that it can without pretending it s fine dining (you hearing me West Texas and Great American?!)

For the quality of food items, the atmosphere and service received, Cattle Baron is a great choice to dine. I enjoyed the salad bar. In my opinion, its very filling for a healthy choice, even having desserts. Lunch time was not crowded, very nice sitting area. I learned that our server, who was very attentive, was from Ruidoso and had transferred to El Paso due to the fires there. Glad to know Cattle Baron helps its employees in that way. Great place to take the family! Resturant was super clean, and workers were vigilant on keeping it clean. Service was above and beyond expectations, I belive our server was Dominic. I came in after a after a layover flight from South Carolina. I was tired and hungry. I sat at the bar and Joe behind the bar promptly came over. I ordered a beer and asked Joe steak or burger. Management is very unprofessional, My wife and i went for dinner and unfortunately had to speak with a manager after waiting 20mins to be graced with his presence he walks up rolling his eyes giving us both a bad attitude , At the end of our conversation that was very uncomfortable as he kept undressing me with his eyes and licking his lips there was nothing done to solve our issues. If anything he acted like we were bothering him, if someone doesnt want to be dealing with customers they shouldnt be in customer service. Personal problems should never be brought to work.. #mentalhealth,,, Addition to this comment, They care nothing about customer service any of the management team, at all . Ive learned this after leaving multiple messages for management call backs, the most amusing part is I did go back to try and speak with someone and was told I was banned for leaving a negative review above lol.. Now heres the funniest part the original review I was told by management to post it about other management and they specifically said post the persons name lol. only to get banned by a whole different managment I dont know what they are doing , I dont even thing they know what they are doing.. The service was great and the staff was very attentive. The salad bar had a good variety and was always refilled with fresh items. Where everything took a turn for the worse was my main dish. I ordered a ribeye medium rare with loaded mashed potatoes. The steak and mashed potatoes that came out were cold to the touch. I pointed it out to the server who apologized and said he would get it fixe. When the plate came back the potatoes were hot but the steak was well done and dry when I cut into it. The waiter saw that he immediately apologized again and said he would have the kitchen prepare a fresh steak and mashed potatoes. The third plate that came out spot on. At this point everyone else was already done eating. I paid the bill and did not complain to management because I did get my food in the end. Third try is a charm as they say.

This steak restaurant is huge with a well rounded salad bar. We came in on a Sunday afternoon, 5:00 ish, without a reservation. It was pretty quiet, not busy at all so we didn t have to wait to be seated or served. Our server was pleasant and friendly and suggested the green chili wontons (very tasty). Hubby had the chopped steak and I had prime rib. The steak was delish but the prime rib was a little chewy. Overall not bad, we will probably come back.

I had the club steak with loaded baked potato and salad bar. It was a bit pricey, $35 with tip. But it was a fantastic meal with fantastic service. The salad bar is exceptional. My steak was perfect, tender and tasty The baked potato was generously sized and delicious. The waiter was very attentive to our needs, one of the people in our party had special dietary needs (dairy allergy) and he really bent over backwards to meet her needs even substituting sourdough toast for the table bread that comes with butter on it. Due to the price, I wont be coming here often but I will be coming here when Im looking for a nice meal out or a special occasion.

Ordered the Jalapeno Rotisserie Chicken which comes with half of the chicken, mashed potatoes and onion rings. The item with the most flavor was the onion rings (after I salted them). The most underwhelming item was the chicken. It may have tasted better if it werent smothered in a cafeteria style gravy and then set on what tastes primarily like dehydrated potatoes. This is one of the most delicious chicken fried steak I have had in a long time. Our server Jessica was amazing. The salad bar was delicious as well. I normally do not get the salad bar addition but this was could not be passed. The beer selection was ok, no hazy IPAs. The draft Dos XX was surprisingly good. I recomend this establishment for dinner.

First salad bar sub par. Tomatoes were quartered soft. Should be cherry tomatoes. Blue cheese dressing was a sweet sauce with hardly any blue cheese taste. Nasty. Prime rib was medium like I asked but was very tough and chewy. The absolute worst prime rib I ever had. Will avoid this restaurant. Not the same Cattle Barons it used to be.

The steaks are nothing special. I got a 14 ounce ribeye (my favorite cut) that came with 4 or 5 ounces of gristle and inedible fat. You are better off getting a steak from Walmart and cooking it in a frying pan. Itll be a better cut. I wont be going back.

I recommend the salad bar for the diversity of the fresh vegetables offered and the variety of dressings available for your salad. For a change from steak dinners, I tried the Cajun Chicken Alfredo. The ample chicken breast was perfectly prepared and juicy. The Alfredo sauce was excellent. You will enjoy this meal.

Date of visit: 2023/04/23 This Cattle Baron is very close to the airport! It also happens to be very close to the hotel where I am staying~ So I ve eaten here more than once! Overall, the value of this steakhouse is very high!!! Just add a little price to the little five magnesium! You can get unlimited enjoyment from the self-service salad bar!!! And you think the salad bar is very cool!? wrong!! The salad bar is simply a plus point of this store. Fruits other than salads Desserts cakes to soups They are all very rich~~ Just five magnesiums to get such a rich experience It s even cheaper than buffets in Taiwan! ! ! It can be said It s not an exaggeration to simply order some from the salad bar to end the meal. But his steak is also pretty good At least the same price is still better than Taiwanese steakhouses!!! Although not as good as other specialty steakhouses But the taste and cooking level are really great! In addition, the service attitude in the United States is remarkable. We have to tip a lot if it s not in vain, right? In terms of atmosphere, it has the atmosphere of a West Texas steakhouse. Steaks and French dip were dry, au jus was salty. Salad bar was ok, but not great. Service was quick and the waitress was friendly and very attentive. Atmosphere was nice, it was cold but they turned off the fans for us. The lamps were very dusty and not nice to have right in your face in the booth. Bathrooms were clean looking but had an odd smell.
