The service was horrible. Someone came and took 1/4 of the tables food order and then left. After 30-45min we had to go get another staff to come get the rest of the tables order. After all this, they still messed up orders and forgot to put in orders. The food was not that great. Never going back.

Terrible service!! we were there before another group and they were served before we were. Then there was a couple that came in about 25 minutes after we arrived and they we re served before we even got our orders! Waited about 25 minutes for the food, if you want something extra, oh yes that s extra! The food was way too salty. Overall bad experience!

The restaurant is infested with roaches. On July 11, 2024, I stopped to eat at Holy Grail and roaches were falling from the ceiling, crawling up the brown curtains & I also found roaches in the restroom. It is a very disgusting place to eat. It is not clean at all!

If I could give less than one star for the food and overall rating I would. My wife and I went to the Holy Grail for a late lunch today after recommendations from people on a local Facebook group. This was our experience: Walked in and three people were at the bar the waitress, and two other gentlemen (one who later identified himeself as the owner/chef) and one who I can only assuem was associated with the establishment also. I noticed a look on their faces as we walked in like wow customers!. As we sat looking at the menu, I looked around the empty restaurant (it was about 2:30 pm). It was clean and inviting. Pleasent music was playing softly in the background. Neither of us used the restroom so I cannot offer a comment about them. My wife and I both ordered from the lunch speical: I had the French Onion Soup, Chicken Carbaonara and my wife ordered the Fish and Chips. Both meals were to include cheesecake for desert. Price for our meals were $26.00 each. The French Onion Soup took a little bit to arrive at the table. It was a good size portion but cheese was almost non-existant (see attached pitcure). The only flavor we could taste was salt. We did not finish the soups. Our main course arrived. The Fish and Chips did not look appetizing and upon first bite my wife said the fish tasted fishy. The chichen in my Chicken Carbaonara was hard and cold. The sauce was too creamy and had a very unplesent taste. The owner/chef came to the table to check on us asking how the food was. I explained to him what I mentioned above and he just walked away. He returened shortly with two to-go boxes and we politely declined. He did kindly comp our meals with apoligies. We did not stay for desert. I would not recommend Holy Grail based upom my experience. If you decide to try, may your expreience be a memorable one. P.S. The food was disgusting and horrendous, music is obnoxious and extremely annoying. Service is the worst I have ever experienced, would not recommend to ANYBODY! Considering to start a petition for it to shut down, that s how awful it is in there. Management is the worst part, so unorganized, unprofessional, and just a terrible place to dine in. Came in to get a panini sandwich but they had told us that they removed it from the menu a few months ago, which is fine so I looked at the menu and decided to get the fish and chips and the chicken pasta, the fish and chips were very bland and the fish was only 3 small squared pieces with no flavor and the breading was falling off after just biting it once, the fries were bland as well no salt or anything and they looked and felt a little undercooked, for 18 dollars it s horrible, the chicken pasta was better the pasta had a good flavor, but felt a bit oily, but the chicken itself had a weird taste. Overall the food was very bland and not worth the price at all wouldn t even pay 5 dollars for any of it besides the pasta itself without the chicken. Too over priced in my opinion for bland food that is too oily and not enjoyable.

The worse food I have ever eaten . I am still grossing out. Plus I am mad at myself that I didn t speak up. First off I ordered a sangria that s my cocktail of choice I never send anything back but it was no way a sangria. So, by the time I got my food. Beef tips that looked pathetic and tasted nasty the potatoes had no flavor tasted like they had been sitting out. The presentation lacked thought. The mere fact they let a plate go out like that is what gets me . Gross.I didn t want to send another item back. I just will never go back. This was the worse food experience ever.

Vegetarian options: I ordered a traditional pescatarian dish paella and it came to me with both beef and chicken. When I refused the dish it came 25 minutes later when my husband finished his dish with seafood that was so overcooked it was in-eatable . They took off a glass of wine which was less than half the price of two dinners I couldn t eat. I cannot recommend.

Terrible Valentine s Day. Slow and sub par service. Had to wait a long time for first drink, no drink menus, finally got first drink and nobody took order. Took forever for a revisit which resulted in frequent empty glasses. Asked for water refill that never came. We were about an hour in before we even got salads. Finally got meals, had the steak medallion and came out with no knife. Waitress asked if I needed a knife (not sure how I was going to cut it with butter knife). Said yes and then never saw a knife. Finished meal minus steak. Had to get up and ask for a knife. Got meal and they automatically included 20% gratuity plus a $10 credit card fee. Probably second worse meal I have had in this city in 15 years. Disappointed because I used to really enjoy this place.

No dancers, bad food, no fun. P.S. they charge you an additional $5 to pay with a debit or credit card Update: So they asked us to give them another shot. It started off ok with the French Onion soup. A lot of depth and flavor, could have used more cheese. However, the fact that the chef served us raw chicken in a restaurant that had only 2 bar guest and our one table is unacceptable and an obvious lack of culinary education. Raw chicken is NEVER ok! The server handled the situation with grace, but no manager or chef came to address the fact they served us raw chicken. I am glad my husband cut into it before eating or especially before I ate from his plate, seeming as I am 6 months pregnant. Nail in their coffin for us, will not return and do not recommend.

I do not live in El Paso, but come often. I had not come here due to some past reviews online. A total mistake to read those reviews. This place is absolutely awesome. We had Gambas Al Ajillo and the Tapa Board. We also had their specialty cocktails. All of them were great- and totally unique. We always go out in El Paso when we come, and we will certainly go out here as a regular. I suggest you come try it here, the food and drinks are great!!

I was there with some friends at the bar. The atmosphere was great and the owner very welcoming. They were in the middle of a wine tasting with a vendor and he still found the time to make it over and greet us. We were having a great time when a drunk and very rude lady approached the bar, making a scene. Thank God the owner was there to put a stop to it. Other than that the food was above and beyond what I expected. The service was excellent especially for the restaurants around that area. I will definitely be back and I highly recommend this restaurant!

Ok, this place is a joke. Showed up for a girls night out the food was sub par. To top it off the workers were drinking, bartenders were drunk and loud. Serving a man that was obviously inebriated and continued to serve him through out the night. (TABC will be informed) Then they had an all out screaming match with some lady who was demanding her tab, some man was screaming at the top of his lungs at her. Made the whole place uncomfortable I paid my tab and left. Then as I m leaving I overhear some lady telling her husband or bf about staff doing drugs in the restroom. I went on a date night 2/3/24 with my fiancé and I got up to go the ladies room, and I saw one of the bartenders in the restroom snorting cocaine. Immediately after I witnessed that I wanted to pay my tab and leave. This older gentleman yelling so loud at the bar at a customer as the customer kept asking the bartender for the check. The bartenders were drinking on the job in front of the entire restaurant. A lot to say here. We got a Caesar salad and they kindly split it for us and they charged us $4 for it. We didn t ask for the salad to be split? What a joke. The food is not good, and it s a shame because it s a great atmosphere and attentive staff. I was talked into getting the filet and it was the chewiest fillet I have ever had. The green peppercorn sauce was DISGUSTING. I m sorry it was. What was it thickened with corn starch? I was shocked I was served this dish for $36. My partner got the crispy chicken over pasta and it s not hard to mess up. He s an army boy and eats MRES. He is not picky. He even said how bad the food is. The drinks aren t strong. Get wine. I liked this places, the music was not the best probably . It was cool but it didnt go well with the atmosphere. I got the 1/2 Roasted Chicken. How can I start with our experience at the holy grail , we went this Friday , first of all they have the manager harassing every guest on their tables. Can even start a talk without someone coming to our table every 2 minutes , it can get annoying if you re trying to have a romantic dinner date. Me and my husband ordered a charcuterie board for 4 as an appetizer, the fruits were HORRIBLE I really doubt they were even washed. The cheese was old too. We also ordered a couple of drinks that came out 15 minutes after our appetizer. My husband had a red wine (really don t remember the name) after having the server come and go to the bar several times because they didn t have the wines that they have in their wine list, (it should be updated) the wine was old and it seemed like they had the bottle opened forever , for myself I asked for a hibiscus mezcalita , when it arrived to my table my glass was so sad with no garnish and a taste of only suggar but no mezcal. For our main dishes we ordered the prime rib eye , tasteless and over cooked , also the paella negra that tasted like old fridge and microwave. Our dessert was a cheesecake that probably they brought from Sam s because it was the only thing that we really liked. The manager or owner is really rude with their servers. I over heard when he was calling out a server in front of his table , that s NOT professional. Overall I wouldn t recommend this place , I would rather go to whataburger instead of paying for this wanna be fine dining restaurant. Also we had this guy pushing us to buy a expensive wine bottle , now I get why they don t have a lot of people like they used to. If you want a really fine dining experience DO NOT COME HERE. You will pay for tasteless food , drinks and an uncomfortable experience.

The type of place depicted in pictures and the menu were somewhat deceiving. The moment we arrived, there was what can only be described as a sewage smell that had been attempted to be covered up with disinfectant. It persisted throughout our visit. I found myself wishing we had gone to the Applebees around the corner, and thats sad. The restaurant was empty. Our server was very friendly and trying, but that was the only bright spot. Menu was cut in half compared to what is listed online, and prices were $4-5 higher than the online menu. The food was disappointing and nothing special. The kicker was towards the end of our meal when 4 guys emerged and started rearranging the dining room around us. We were suddenly surrounded by a maze of chairs and tables that had to be navigated through on the way out. It could have easily waited until we finished our meal. Its not like they had more business.

Whenever I take the time to write a review is because I feel deeply improvement CAN happen. Having said that ; this restaurant was a huge disappointment. The moment we arrived the chef greeted us which for me seemed as a bad sign not only lack of waiters but of customers. Waiters were young nothing against that, but training seems to not be part of the restaurant s process to do things right. A restaurant success starts with servers, knowing how to! But when that s not the case nothing is being sold! Food; we had salads with protein and some pasta with chicken, presentation and flavor was not what I was expecting Desserts; we ordered a couple only the tiramisu tasted good the other one which was lemon something was horrible. Will I come back ? No. If with time things change I might consider, otherwise it s a no no Ambiance was nice I think the guy singing was the only good thing about the whole experience; hope owners reconsider because I do feel this place has potential

When this place first opened food was great ,service was good, and the atmosphere was excellent with music. Its was very hard to get a table. Now the food isnt that good, service is terrible. It took 20 minutes to get out drinks, 4 were ordered, 2 were served and it took anothe 10 minutes to get the 2nd two. A couple joined us the finally did get their drinks, however they never received a menu and had to wave down a server to order an appetizer since they waited so long. This was a Friday night, and the place was about a 1/3 filled. We will probably never go back. Too bad since it was our favorite westside restaurant when they first opened. First and last visit here. Server seemed nice at first, but wow at the end, this young girl completely showed attitude and lack of customer service skills. Table of 7 friends. Took a while for drinks and food order to be taken. Everything came at different times; some of us were finishing eating when some of us were just getting food. There were only 2 tables w people, so not busy at all! Portions were different for same order different people... At end ticket charges did not match prices on menu. $6 wine charged at $15!!!??? Question this with server and her excuse was that menu needed updating. I told her I wanted menu price to be honored. She brought manager, he said he was going to fix it, but that he agree that menus were not updated. Next ticket had reduction from $15 to $10.34. Told server it was still wrong. She started giving me attitude, upset she said it was fine, she would take it back if I did not want this ticket either. I said no, not ok and wanted manager again, and her attitude was not necessary nor acceptable. She left and manager came, then I notices discount, whatever they did, also done on plate I order. I told him I guess it was fine, whatever they figured out, but that she couldnt or wouldnt explain, but that also still her attitude was unacceptable. He said he would talk to her and correct her actions! Five minutes later, we saw them both get in the same car and leave happily together, laughing. So much for corrective action! Do not recommend this place, not while under this manager/server team.

The Holy Grail lives up to its name as it truly is the holy grail of El Paso. The atmosphere here is amazing for Friday night drinks with coworkers or even just a simple Tuesday night dinner with the family. Came here for new years for the first time I absolutely loved it ! I m a very picky person who is extremely cautious of what they put in their body, and the Holy Grail really gave me the exact meal and dining experience I was looking for! I was like HOLY when I tasted those scallops. Amazing service, everyone there was so kind and polite and got my order right down to a T. Highly recommend this place for those who would rather get drinks at trashy bars at Cincinnati street (tienen q cuidarse allí) and definitley get the scallops!

i went in with my uncle the other day and to be completely honest, I loved it. I had such a great and beautiful time at the holy grail. Our service was impeccable and the waiter made us feel so welcomed. Next time I ll bring my grandmother. Amazing. We were really looking forward to trying this place, but we were very disappointed. Very nice atmosphere, but the food and drinks were a bummer. Spent $18 on a tiny square lasagna with hardly no cheese or meat. Just noodles and tomato sauce. Old fashions are basically just a shot of whiskey. Majority of the wine menu was only sold by bottle. There weren t many options by the glass and the one that we wanted they didn t have. Oh well, I guess now we know.

The atmosphere was the only reason I gave it one star. The live music was wonderful. We went to celebrate, only to be disappointed. My partners steak was not cooked to temperature,TWICE. I had ordered medium rare which I ate but was probably more rare than anything. As a recent post mentions, the long wait to get someone to your table is real. When we brought up our experience to our server, she apologized and told us the place had gotten new owners and things changed. We asked to speak to the manager to express our disappointment. He opted to make excuses, that staff recently quit, and that he himself was in the back cooking rather than make things right. Totally understand places being short staffed, also if you re going to be charging so much for food, it should be quality. Overall, awful experience. Clearly can see leadership is lacking.

Name doesnt do the place justice. Great decor. Tables are spread out enough where you dont feel crowded. They have a private room for meetings and an outdoor patio. The Chicken Scallopini was fantastic. The Pasta Natasha was tasty but not in the Scallopinis league. They have a surcharge for using a credit card. Good service but server did not know the wine list (it was very extensive and expensive) that well. The Full Menu on their web site listed several sandwiches that were not on the menus we were given, only two sandwiches to choose from. We will be back to try other selections.

Not a fan of posting negative comments but wow empty drinks for more than 15 minutes. The restaurant wasn t even busy. Server would not show up to the table, had to let him know when I got up to assist us. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE service. Food is good though. I was driving around the west side of El Paso looking for a place to get out of the heat and have a drink, when I came a cross The Holy Grail. Upon walking in the door I was immediately surprised with how clean, comfortable, well decorated, and perfect the atmosphere was. Its a great upscale bistro and bar atmosphere with unique menu and upscale design that still able to appeal to the casual crowd. The bar area suprised me with its decore and how perfectly lit it was, including the beautiful back lit quarts counter tops. The Holy Grail has a vast menu which includes meat and cheese boards, salad, flatbread, seafood, pasta, steak, and sandwiches. They also have a wide selection of wine, whiskey, beer, and hand crafted cocktails. During my visit I tried the seared scallops and a couple glasses of whiskey which were amazing. I plan to sample more food on my next visit. I highly recommend The Holy Grail to anyone looking for a upscale eatery with great atmosphere offering a variety of food and wine options. This is a perfect place to bring a date or relax and enjoy good cuisine after work. Some menu items are a little on the pricey side but the atmosphere and excellent service balances it out. The bartender was very personable and willing to provide recomendations which made the experience even better. I will definitely be back to try more.

Came into the Holy Grail to have a quick drink with some gal pals. Ran into my other friend who is such a doll who actually introduced me to this fabulous place the holy grail I love the name first of all. The waiters are exceptionally great stylish with a flare hipsters and get great service. FRED the Manager was very much on point recommended this great cocktail as shown in the photo a craft signature drink. Highly recommended for these Hot summer days that are about to begin for the endless summer evening sitter to come.

The place looks good, but that s the only good thing about it. Service is horrible, employees are rude and entitled. What I thought would be a nice date with my girlfriend turned out to be an uncomfortable disaster. The food is not worth the price, and the service(again) HORRIBLE! I tried to contact the manager and, of course, the waitress wouldn t let me talk to anyone. I tried calling and the same rude waitress answered the phone. Unpleasant experience. Please, save yourself the struggle and look for other places in the area.

I had high hopes for this place. Unfortunately the service was horrible. The waitress/bartender was in a bad mood and it reflected on the way we were treated. I was telling my partner that I was not feeling well(not because of the food). But for some reason the entitled waitress took it personally in a very sudden and rude way so she brought the check and told us I am not leaving but you guys are and when we asked why she just laugh. We are never coming back and I won t recommend this place to anyone however, this should definitely be addressed and fixed. Costumer service matters and we wished our experienced had been better.

Absolutely loved the atmosphere and the wine picks. Wait staff and managers were on point! My friend and I both had gotten something with scallops. idk if it was a bad batch or what but both of ours were not good. Hers tasted like it had sand in it and mine like it was set out for awhile. It is like a smaller version of Mesa Grill, I would recommend this better. Their seafood is excellent, serving size is Italian portion, so u wont receive a big plate of food. I ve been to a few restaurant on the West Side of El Paso and I must say The Holy Grail is at the top of the list. I was very disappointed at my last experience in the area and Holly Grail has renewed my confidence in food on the West side. The prawns were down right delicious and the flat bread was awesome. And to make it much better, the warmth of the staff and atmosphere would have made a tuna sandwich worth twenty dollars. I will be going back and this time I will experience the live show.

Came to eat at The Holy Grail tonight and it was so good. Our food was made fresh and full of flavor. I ordered the eggplant parmesan served with angel hair pasta and it was a good portion for the price. We also ordered an appetizer, artichoke dip with crostinis. It was Excellent. Our hostess was very helpful and attentive. My son is Autistic and the hostess was able to recommend a dish that he enjoyed. Thank you for a great dinner. We will return.

I was so looking forward to this place and I was so disappointed. To be fair I didn t try any entrees just the charcuterie board and mushrooms. The mushrooms were cold, old and wrinkly. The charcuterie board didn t have any cheddar cheese options (what self respecting wine bar doesn t have a good sharp cheddar) and the quality was just overall poor on the cheese offerings. My wine tasted like jolly ranchers and was a $12.00 glass of wine....I d say the service was good but all of these items were recommended by my waitress and not a single one was good. I d skip it.

This new location is amazing! The menu has a lot of options, the food is delicious, the service incredible and they have live music on Fridays !
