Food is okay but one of the workers makes the burritos with her LONG nails and that looks disgusting, the owner obviously doesn t care, you work with food should not have long nails, to me that is disgusting, they also don t use gloves or wash their hands and grab the register without washing hands. Health department should check on them.

Best Mexican food I have had in a while outside of home. Its literally like eating at home or with family. The staff was very pleasant and and the atmosphere and decorations were so traditional! Recently discovered this restaurant, have been there 3 times, service and food is very good. The only disappointment are their burritos, I ordered one to go for $4.25 thinking that it was a good size or at least average size but got a mini-burrito instead, any other place will usually give you a good size one. A customer will not only focus on the taste and quality of their food, but on portion size also. They need to work on the size of their burritos.

unfortunately the food is not like the advertising pics, and its lack of taste is also not good in presentation. Tuna salad had no flavor or dressing on the side or crackers or anything but big chunks of onion and peppers, vegetable soup was not good the veggies were half cooked and the tacos had old rice and tasteless veggies, and the tortillas were not warm soft it tasted like straight out of the package. I wasted 37 dollars.

Waitress was awful, went for the comida corrida, awful. Potatoes in soup had rotten brown spots. Asked for enchiladas with onions. No onions, dry, and they had chile skin in the suace. My husband asked what could be ordered and the waitress was no help describing the plates. Were waiting for our drinks and the waitress was folding silverware. Got our tea after the soup. Our enchilada plates were on top of the counter but our waitress was busier munching and talking with cooks. Also it seemed like the construction workers that go on get special treatment, get there drinks and food before others. Just awful.

Pretty good place with a very bright interior serving really good tacos, burritos and Mexican food in general. People are very nice and friendly (helps a lot if you have some Spanish). The rajas are excellent, the tacos fresh though the meat was a bit gristly and the same with the chili colorado burrito. But it was all very flavorful! 3.5 stars! Was coming from Remcon postoffice, heading to my normal burrito spot when I saw a person holding a burritos sign at the corner of Remcon & Mesa. So I pulled into the shopping area & spotted El Girasol and decided to give it a try. I liked it so much, that instead of taking my meal to go, I decided to eat my breakfast burrito there and ordered a coffee to go with it. Everyone is friendly. It is bright, reasonably priced, child-friendly, comfy and very clean, to include the spacious restroom w/changing table. Great place for a family outing, or intimate breakfast/lunch with that special someone. The food was delicious: the tortillas fresh, the fillings tasty. Why did I not give five stars? The coffee! It was thin/watery and tasteless. I saw the source of the unpleasant beverage on the shelf under the coffee maker: Folgers...yuck, not sure I would drink that even in a coffee-emergency (first-world problem, I know), but a great, delicious breakfast should have equally delicious coffee. Pricing: I spent $17+, which included a $2 tip. This bought me breakfast, lunch & a dinner burrito + coffee That said, I am going back for more tortillas as they are open now. Maybe they ran out of their regular coffee yesterday. If that is the case, I will upgrade to five stars. Hidden place, sign says burritos in big letter, now their name. Was annoyed at how skimpy they were with chips for4 people. Basket wasnt even half full. Combo plate was descent looking, but relleno was cold, enchilada sauce was odd tasting, flautas were good though. Not coming back. This place never fails, from breakfast to lunch I ve been here (sometimes twice a day) and the food is always delicious and hot. Clean and the atmosphere is very pleasant plus the owner always comes by the table to ask how we are enjoying our food. I noticed and that made me a little uncomfortable at lunch time. I never had problems with the place, in fact it was one of my favorites, I went during my lunch hours and on weekends I took my family... but they changed the staff and there was no problem ... I ordered a mole burrito, there was none, There was also no stuffed chili, I ordered diskada tacos and they also told me there werent any... finally I ordered a hamburger and after 40 minutes of not being served I asked the waitress if she was still missing and she told me that Yes... the cook was barely heating up the meat and just like that my lunch time went by, I had to go back to work without eating... there was no manager, there was no manager, and no one could solve my problem ...what a shame it makes me... such a good place...

This is the best restaurant in El Paso and Ive lived here all my life. I understand that mexican cuisine is regional and there are many styles but this is the closest to my familys style of cooking Ive ever had. The rice is a nice dark orange color and very moist, well cooked, and not fluffed up with a nice tomato flavor. The flour tortillas taste homemade and are big enough to make a big burrito with enough extra to tie the ends off proper for eating in a work environment. To be fair I didnt like the flautas... mainly because I prefer a thinner, longer, and crispy flauta like they serve at Tepalca. These are short and fat with melted cheese on top and avocado on the side and just sogged up and became hard to eat. The caldo de res is awesome though. Circling back around to that rice... it gives the broth the best flavor. With a squeeze of lime and a tortilla theres nothing better. You gotta try this place!

The worst tacos I have ever had in my life!!! According to Sirloin and it was pure meat with leather and very hard, the tortillas are given separately and counted, I had to order more to finish making the tacos with the good meat that I was able to rescue from the plate, and expensive!!

Burrito de desebrada a la mexicana was excellent! My only regret was not ordering another. Will return early and often!
