Two stars because its a rather desolate area. However, it is interesting to see in person; Ive gone there twice in the past five years. I kept my head on a swivel there, as I was alone. Its interesting to look through the wall at Cd. Juarez. Though its right there before you, as you stand on American soil, it feels as though youre much deeper into Latin America; it reminds me of times Ive visited Honduras. Its an eerie, yet thought-provoking feeling to be on the U.S. side of the wall, yet have it surround even your peripheral vision as though youre the one being contained.

We wanted to walk up to read the monument but there was a homeless camp at the site

There used to be a really nice restaurant at that location and open area. But the drugs and criminals forced things to change.
