This is the second time I go to this restaurant. My new flame and I came on our first date. I was impressed with the place. One of the dishes is featured on a Food Network program. Some of the dishes are interesting. I have to go back and try other dishes. Update 1-15-23 I have tried the shrimp nachos. That is an interesting appetizer. The shrimp chipotle enchiladas sound interesting but are semi interesting. Pasta Chihuahua is an original creation. I like Calabasas so I tried the Chicken Calabasitas. The word eclectic does not do justice to this restaurant. I need to try other dishes. Update 6-14-23 I had the Chicken Kabob. I enjoyed all the flavors. I think I will go back and try all the dishes. Wife had the Chipotle Shrimp Enchiladas again. She is not adventurous. I think that when you go several times you start noticing the small neglected parts of the restaurant. Exhaust vent in bathroom has not been cleaned. A fan in dinning area is broken. When it rains some windows leak. They just placed towels to absorb water. Update 8-13-23 I tried a new dish I had not seen in any of the menus. The flavor was unique. Thank you for adding something new. Update 6-16-25 Spring/summer Manu has a few new dishes. I tried the Mushu Carnitas. It was an awesome experience. Dont take my word for it. You have to try it yourself.

The food here is so delicious. The staff is friendly. I brought home enough food for the next day. I heated it in the oven. It was just as good as it was when I originally ordered it. I will definitely drive over their again to eat. The tea is so good! It is served with a lime slice. The sign says it was featured in DINERS, DRIVE-INS and DIVES. I can see why. The building inside is filled with gorgeous plants. The pesto fries are beyond description! Vegetarian options: The other dish was crepes with corn, slices of green Chile, and the most delicious sauce. We were so taken with the food that we forgot to take pictures. When I go back, I will remember to take pictures.

Update: I had the pleasure of ordering ahead the Tomahawk Steak (24hr notice) and wow. Im usually really carefully with saying something was the best ever but omg. It was THE BEST STEAK I HAVE EVER HAD. It was perfectly cooked to order (I asked for medium rare), perfectly brined prepped and melt in your mouth, perfectly seasoned, and came with great sides. Its perfect for a special occasion when you do a reservation and a few others to help. It could feed 2-3 people with big appetites but also maybe 4-5 with smaller appetites. Thanks! This is probably the best restaurant on the west side of El Paso if not the whole region, which is saying something given the existence of Aurellias, Crave, Tara Thai, Pho Tre Bien and so many others. Rulis should impress the casual foodie-inclined diner. Great selection of beer, including some delightful obscure local and regional beers on tap. The pizzas are extremely creative, as are the soft tacos. I just had the toreado sauce steak tacos, and Im not kidding when I say they are probably the best tacos Ive ever had (and Im born and raised El Paso, so theres a lot of competition in that statement). Theres a fair chance youll bump into the chef and owner Rulis, whos a really mellow interesting person and happy to answer questions about the menu or just life. :)

Wonderful service!!!! Let me start by saying that we had a surprise gathering there. The person who we were throwing it for showed up super early! We had a reservation so this was not sprung up on them whatsoever. The wait staff was the MVP on pulling this off after our honored guest showed up much earlier than planned. Not only did they have him go around and sit at a table facing their patio, he then proceeded to go outside to the main entrance they distracted him while a couple of our guests walked right in. That s impeccable service right there. They were still attentive once things got underway and we said surprise! The great service didn t stop the entire time we were all there. Now, the food!!! We ordered the Three P s crostini. They changed the cheese to manchego so the third P is now an M (I asked) lol. That was light and delicious. The balsamic drizzle really ties it all together with the pears and prosciutto. I had the brisket flautas and let me say .tender, tender, tender meat. The plate itself was so pretty and I felt a little bad digging in but not that bad because the flavors were so good! Even the red salsa they gave me to dip was exactly the perfect heat to round out the flavors. My kids had the pepperoni pizza. We ordered more than one because they re 10 in. It s a small pizza but very flavorful and brick oven made to perfection. Many places do have larger burnt spots but not this one. The small places where there was a bit of char was just right. My kids and some of the guests even dug in because it really smelled and tasted that good! My husband had the shrimp nachos. One word, DELICIOUS! That cheese had me drooling and still has me drooling writing this review lol. So good. They do have a blue crab nacho option that I will be going back for next time. One of our guests had a vegan option (not pictured) of the sirloin toreado tacos. My gosh! I ve never had vegan tacos before but if all vegan food tasted this way, I d become one! Those flavors are just blew my mind! I wish I had taken a picture to show how pretty they were too, but trust when I say that it was chef s kiss!!! Overall, Rulies International Kitchen was simply amazing in all they did and fed us. We will mostly definitely be back and with super empty stomachs just to eat more of that awesome menu! Highly, Highly, Highly Recommend!!!! Vegetarian options: You can request a vegetarian option for most dishes according to the labels on the menu. Please ask your server to make sure.

We came to Rulis last week for the first time.we fell in love! We came today. And honestly I m already planning our next visit. First off, service is amazing, just walking in you feel welcome and cozy. There s beautiful plants everywhere. The food is AMAZING. There is so much flavor in every bite. I have the chilaquiles last week and got them vegan. So amazing! Today I had a cheese burger also completely vegan and it was soooo good. Seasoned to perfection! My partner ordered the toreado teriyaki muchrolm tacos and oh my goodness!!!! So so so good. And generous with the taco filling. I can t wait to try more plates here. And I know I mentioned service is great but I can t say this enough . Service is top notch! Out of this world service. We have had two different staff members serve us and they both were absolutely great! They do sell wine and beer too. All together it s a 5 star restaurant. Vegetarian options: So many vegan options!

Starting off this Fathers day weekend with a big tasty spread. Everything was scrumptious from the goat cheese with cashews and sweet peppers, the pesto fries and Ahi tuna tostada we started off with, to the exotic smoked oyster pizza, the exquisite oxtail tostada that was prepared in a totally different way that Ive ever had but was so dayum good, the shrimp & bacon and the pork belly pastor tacos were amazing the proteins were extremely succulent and the fruits and vegetables were fresh and juicy making the salsas even more flavorful. If yall are ever in El Paso and looking for somewhere to eat something delicious and get some really attentive service you gotta stop in here with my friends at Rulis international kitchen. Second time here, the first time was around the time it opened. Still looks the same inside, albeit more plants. Would think it wouldve had some updates, but there were none. Same tables, chairs and creaky booths. Atmosphere is nice. Servers were nice. Menu is large and can be overwhelming. Again, chairs and booths could use some more love or renovating. Bathroom looks like it hasnt changed since it was once a fast food place a decade or more ago. No toilet seat covers. Bathroom also looked like it was not checked in a few hours. Food was tasty, however, portions are very small and overpriced. Had an $18 salad that was served on a small plate, with just a few pieces of grilled chicken (was charged $4 for). Grilled chicken was tasty, but again, the portion was small. Had a few thin slices of apples and a few pieces of cheese, no bread or croutons, nothing complex. Salad was tasty but so small, not worth the price. Side of fries was in a small bowl. The crostini appetizer with prosciutto and pear and manchego cheese was good, but for the price ($8.99) couldve been more than its 4 pieces. Boyfriends salad was missing a key component and had to ask for it and was still asked if we wanted it. And again, for $13, his salad was also very small. Although the food was good, the portion size does not match the price amount and ended up paying $50 for two small salads, a small side of fries and 4 pieces of crostini.

Vegetarian options: I cant remember the name of the dish but there was some spaghetti like pasta with white sauce that I believe comes with chicken but I got it with mushrooms and it kind of look like chicken still and kind of tasted like it. It was so good. I also got tacos with mushrooms and set of meat they have like five different flavors for the tacos. I dont know everything is just really good vegan or not. Also although I havent had it they have vegan cheese as an option. next time I go Ill give it a try to see how it is. this place is just good anybody should go there just to give it a try. I dont think you will be disappointed.

In depth review, the calabacitas side dish was so good it inspired my wife to want to eat squash that wasn t just browned in a pan and still nearly raw. I went on an adventure to try and make it myself based off one taste test at the bottom of the bowl. She accepts my failure because it reminds her of Ruli s dish. We originally went in 2021 based on it being a triple D restaurant. I got that pasta and loved it. You can see Chef Ruli s love of elevating simple ingredients in the food that is served, and see his thoughts laid out on his YouTube channel. A few days ago we went to this restaurant for the first time. We ordered 2 pizzas, a sandwich and a goat cheese with peppers as an appetizer. I dont have anything bad to say about the food, on the contrary everything was very good, my problem was when asking for the bill, they charged us for more drinks than we had had, they told us that they had canceled the transaction and today they checked my account statement we realized that they charged us 210 dlls even though our consumption had been 80. You have to be more careful with these types of errors. I am very upset about it so much that I will never return to this place because of it.

The burger is where its at!! Juicy, flavorful, cooked to perfection. Paired with fried pickles or their calabacitas is a treat. Delicious

Bad service. They dont take away the empty soup bowl when they bring the rest of the food. They brought me soe.thing different from what I ordered and they try to convince me that ot was also a good option. In other words they wanted me to eat their mistake. They didnt apologize. Ended up eating a salad.

If you get to El Paso, Texas. Rulis is the place to Eat/Visit, bring an appetite because here you will find the best combination of flavors on many Items. I personally was very pleased with the Sarocha Chicken Tacos, And do try the goat cheese with roasted peppers, nuts, cranberries, You wont be disappointed.

Been here twice and each time was fantastic. We ve had the Nola, Spinach, and Al Pastor Pizzas. All wonderful. Only small complaint, was my daughter ordered the Al Pastor with no cilantro and it came with it on the pizza. The three tacos Al Pastor were really good and flavorful. We tried the prosciutto with pear and glaze and it was awesome! Had the cheesesteak, it was okay. The bread was too much and the ratio was a little off when it came to the meat portions. We will revisit again and a good recommendation to others!

Amazing food, amazing service, and very dog friendly. Had three different pizzas, the porky (my favorite), build it yo self (pepperoni and pineapple), and spinach pizza(to go). All food has been great and the service was great all drinks and food was recommended and tasted great. Highly recommend but, pricey for the 10 pizzas.

The service staff was very friendly, but my food was disappointing. One of the staff had a screaming (screeching) child near the back. I have empathy for the situation because I know life is hard, but it the truth is that I am less likely to go back because of that. I ordered the pork belly al pastor tacos. They were cold. The tortillas were completely cold. The pork was cold and bland. They were the worst tacos that I ve had in El Paso. I d rather just go to just about any local taco truck. I also tried one Sirloin Toreado taco. Same thing. My party ordered desert and really liked it. I did not order dessert. Maybe it was a bad day in the kitchen. And I m sure Ruli s has other things on the menu that are good. But I m not going back because El paso has a lot of good food to offer, and I m only in town for a few weeks. My advice: don t get the tacos.

Great gluten-free pizza. Try the one with chicken and veggies. I wanted to try the pizza with steak and chiles toreados, but I forgot that the chiles sauce is made with soy sauce. Definitely NOT gluten-free.

As soon as we walked in we were greeted and seated with menus. They have a pretty big menu ranging from pizzas, enchiladas, meatloaf and salads. Tried the Dino Rib and Chihuahua Pasta plate which were both good. The 3 Ps Crostini tapa was pretty good as well as their Panacotta dessert. Would like to come here to try other plates from their menu.

IMO Rulis is the best Restaurant in El Paso. Rulis goes for the perfect food and brew combination and generally hits the nail on the head. I dont drink alcohol so I opt for ice tea, which is always crisp and clear with no fungus scent. I have ordered almost everything on the menu and I really havent ever felt let down or unimpressed by the dish. I hope the people of El Paso continue to support Rulis because it truly enriches the dining scene with tastes and concepts that are beyond the traditional El Paso fare which has historically been Tex Mex or steak house.

The service was excellent! Our server (female, rainbow hair and eye makeup) was sort friendly and attentive. I dont recall her name but hopefully her company will test this and know that she was top notch. The food was great also. I had the half order of lamb lollipops (3) with rice and pineapple (I guess they were out of mango) salsa. My friend had the diners, drive ins, and dives Guy Fieri (sp?) special-the spicy pasta with sausage. We both enjoyed our meal and service. Id definitely return with friends. Oh, and the ambiance of the place is really eclectic. They also have an outdoor patio (we sat inside since we visited during January).
