So I went during the day for a quick drink and picked up some food to go. I was actually disappointed with the hot dog....and the bar didnt have all the ingredients for a Moscow mule. All in all I give it a 6 out of 10. The back patio is super kool....Im sure its a lot of fun at night...

The place LOOKS amazing, ambiance is great, menu looks great, huge selection of tequila. We did not try food so none of this is about the food I also hate to give bad/mediocre reviews to local places, but this comes from a place where I want this place to succeed and I think this place could be great if staff is addressed. Maybe it was a bad night or a new server. It was a slow Thursday night with only 3-4 tables of 2 or 3 people each throughout the place, yet we saw several people send their drinks back, so we ordered a gin and tonic since apparently this server couldnt make drinks, and even the gin and tonic was terrible. No lime, the ratio was very off and it wasnt even tonic water, it was club soda. Our server seemed to know nothing about tequila other than you drink it and it gets you drunk, and was very uninformed about the flights they advertise you to ask about. Apparently theyre not even really flights they just bring you shots and charge you individually based on the tequila you order. The tequila list is alphabetical so there is no way to know which ones are being charged at a premium and she didnt know either so I ended up ordering a flight of top shelf tequilas unknowingly and she didnt know the prices even after I asked, so my friend paid 100 dollars for us to have 3 shots of tequila because of uninformed, unhelpful staff. Please, this place could be so cool, but trained, informed, and helpful staff are needed.

It was pretty dead when I got there, but it was a cool spot. Live DJ, wirh a dance floor, it was superbly air-conditioned in the front part of the bar. The back was a little warmer. Understandable, however, as its opened to the outside, where you can smoke. There were plenty of TVs, darts, and quickshot basketball in the back. I dont drink, but every time I went to refill my club soda and lime, it was quick. The space is pretty big. Ill definitely be going back.

posting publicly what else is new? I ask. First impressions: good remodel, place looks great. Cant be too harsh on BTs cuz you know they learning but that lime I got with my tequila shot was so old it was mushy. Another EP bar where the staff acts like youre in their house and they have to put up with you. If only it was cheaper

This was my second time coming to Tequila Mockingbyrd with a girlfriend of mine. At arrival, we asked Damian about the specials and were told it was $3 bud lts and $4 white teas. We went with 2 white teas thinking they were drinks that turned out to be shots so we hadn t ordered anything more. At checkout, we asked for 2 more and closed out. When I asked to close out, I was charged $26 for the 4 shots total, conveniently with no itemized receipt. Before signing my receipt I asked another bartender, Taylor, how much the white teas were to confirm and was told then they were $6, thinking this was an oversight, to eventually come home and see they were promoted for $4 so either the bartenders on staff can t tell their a$$ from their elbows OR they re deliberately overcharging patrons for drinks they never ordered. I hope the additional $5 I left was worth it because I will not be coming back but not without first leaving this review to warn others

Its got a great vibe! Food was yummy. Highly recommend the Texas Twinkies . Great bartender. They have games (basketball and darts). Went with my husband and some friends to day drink and had a great time. Go support a new fun spot!

We went with a group of friends to the grand opening for my friends birthday and had such a good time. This bar is wild lol!! The DJ was goin awf!! And they have a landline where you can drunk dial your favorite exes, like what lol?! Such a cute concept! I made me and all my friends prank call at least one person. Wonder how many people will get back together because of this place. We came early to eat and the food is so good!! Those Texas Twinkies are bomb af and the loaded fries with brisket are chef s kiss!! Can t wait to come back and try the pineapple upside down pancakes. The bartenders in the back really did an amazing job helping us. Because when I say it was packed, I m not even joking, these guys were getting slammed!!!! The girl that looked like pulp fiction came up to us and took our orders while we were in line to make sure we didn t feel forgotten and then she lent me and my gf some setting spray in the restroom. She was so sweet!! Didn t have to wait long at all for our second and third round either. Matt and Ivan were awesome and super fast! Really appreciate that!! This bar definitely has the friendly west side vibes I love so much and I m happy to see it finally open again with all the cute spots to selfie. You can tell they really put a lot of work into this place. Can t wait to come back and day drink and play some darts!!

Great food! Service is amazing! They have a huge tequila section with 100 tequilas. The food is great. I recommend the Texas Twinkies or the pineapple upside down pancakes. They do serve brunch all day is all around a great place to go with friends. Glad to have this new addition in the west side

Sunday March 3 ,2024. Was so excited to try this place out what a disappointment.We arrived at about 5 pm waited for about 20-25 minutes nobody came to the table. I asked my husband to go to the bar to ask for someone to come to the table. My husband was up there for almost 10 minutes because nobody would acknowledge him. A gentleman finally helped him and said Ill send someone over. He walked over about 5 minutes later we thought he was going to help us that was a big old no. He just said Ill send someone over. Waited another 10 minutes and nothing. It seemed like you were only getting served if you knew someone working there. What a shame.

The food is amazing and has large portions. The atmosphere is fun and lively and has some fun games all throughout the bar. The patio looks great cant wait to be back to see some live music on the stage out there. Definitely recommend this place.

I was so excited to try this new place out. Unfortunately, it didnt go well. We were there for an hour and forty minutes just to have our server forget to put in our food order.. Service was so insanely slow. For some reason the servers would hang out behind the bar for 20-30 minutes at a time chatting and on their phone... lots of employees walking around, but none helping tables. I had to get up and go to the bar just to get my ticket and get out of there. We were warned by the table next to us to order everything at once because the servers only came around every once and a while, and boy were they right.. also, whoever thought strip club red lights with red font on menus was a good idea should probably not make any more of those decisions. Disappointing to say the least...

I hate to leave bad reviews for local places, but Im not sure Ive seen a more poorly managed place.. almost a many people working as customers and service was still horrible. I try to root for local places, but some are just destined to look better on Instagram than they perform in real life. A shame because we couldve used a good place on Mesa
