Service was fast. Food was great ! I went around 630pm on a Wednesday and there wasnt that many customers so I would say thats the best time to go. You get a lot of food for a great price. Staff was really nice and polite

The service was bad. The food took a long time, they did not attend us well. They never came back with the condiments requested or to ask if we needed a refill. The manager could care less if we needed drinks or anything else and he took forever to charge us even though he and staff saw us waiting to pay.

I had been seeing this place every time my wife and I would go to HEB and I thought it s kind of lonely I wondered for a while if the food would be any good finally I decided to take a chance and try it BOY !!!! My wife and I went to go eat there on Sunday 2/18/2024. My wife had tostadas de ceviche, and I had Don Guicho rolls. The ceviche had a weird smell and larger than normal pieces, and a bit hard. With the Don Guicho rolls the shrimp were soft and the cheese was a different taste. We have eaten these to dishes at a different restaurant and we have never gone sick , it was the first time that I have eaten there, my wife had eaten there before. We both got FOOD POISONING and been sick for about 7 days . Be aware of what you eat . The restaurant needs to be aware of its food and employees.

I was a frequent customer at this restaurant, but not anymore. I had a bad experience. I ordered by phone to pick up, and the lady confirmed me the order and amount. I paid in restaurant. At home I noticed the order was incomplete. After a discussion with the manager (or person in charge) he asked me for an additional payment to place another order to complete the previous order. I did not accept and the order stayed incomplete.

Today, on July 9th, Sunday afternoon, I went into this establishment to order a meal since the restraunt next door was closed, and the time waiting was expected from this Don marisco. The waitresses were confused and running around like chickens without heads, and the manager in store who was observing the lobby didnt move an inch besides to make sure a waitress was still moving back and forth. The food however I liked before this experience where this order of a Hamburger and fries was decently sized filling this plate of mine to the brim but now, with new management, I was told by a waitress that this was the new portion set by the manager himself. This meal is a kids meal compared to what they used to serve, not even 2 months ago. Regardless of whether the burger 2 months and prior was an extra few inches and the fries had more than this 16 count, this is very disappointing. To everyone I recommended this restaurant to, I regret that decision now, especially the prices staying the same or rising, but the food portion and size decreasing

We had a very unpleasant experience at this restaurant. To begin, the waitress very rudely told my mother that she couldnt bring her the starter because she hadnt ordered yet (for this, in ALL restaurants they give it to you before ordering) then my sister brought a kids meal to my nephew and an employee. He told him he couldnt consume it inside the restaurant. My sister explained to her that my nephew does not eat seafood and that we were all going to consume it. Well, the waitress again answered no and my sister asked to speak to someone. For this, he noticed that another child at another table was eating a kids meal. And my sister questions why yes. And the waitress response was the most out of character response. The child who is eating is because he is the son of an employee. There he did not demonstrate any customer service. So we all decided to leave. This was my moms birthday and thanks to the waitress we had an unpleasant time. It was our first time and of course we are not going to return.

We expected more from this place, and understanding to the unique situation we found ourselves in this particular day!!! It was a quite day and we decided to grab lunch during our shift. We are Law Enforcement and didnt expect any handouts but we sat and conversed for a while and our food took a little longer then expected. We received a call for service at a High School that had gone into lock down. At the same time our foo just arrived and the waitress walked away when we confirmed the call. We didnt touch out food, when we told the waitress we had an emergency and had to leave now we did not have time to get to go plates or pay!!! I left my contact information and we responded to the emergency. We stayed on that call for 7 hours before ending our shift. We didnt have time nor was it in our mind to worry about food, our concern was the call and those it affected. Anyway fast forward to returning to pay, I came to explain the day but they still charged us for food not eaten. No worries we settled the tab and will not be returning to this over prices place. And hopefully I will inform others who have unique situations or emergency they will charge you regardless.

Often times I end up agreeing with the majority, but not here. The shrimp was tasteless, the fish was average. Im fairly certain I paid for something I shouldnt have because one fish plate, one shrimp taco plate, and one kids plate shouldnt be $43. Only reason why I didnt give it one star was because the staff were understanding towards my lack of Spanish.

Wow! Just when I needed a soup for my cough this food came in clutch. The sauce was delicious. Flavors were simple and delicious. Fresh. The marisco caldo brought me back to life. I absolutely loved Don Mariscos in Edinburg!!! I m going to make this my go to place every time I m in the valley!!! The sauces are amazing!!! I couldn t stop eating chips and salsa. The food is delicious!! My Caldo de Camarones was tasty at every bite, shrimp deveined!! Great taste!!! I absolutely recommend you go if you re visiting the valley. The Cucumber Water was exquisite as well. The fried fish were perfect. The treatment was perfect! I can t wait to try all the other dishes.

This place is one of my favorites. I ordered the Salmon salad on the recommendation of the waitress. It is now clear to me that the cook does not know how to cook salmon. I really like ceviche, and Ive tried it almost everywhere, and Don Marisco has the worst ceviche Ive ever had in my life, eww I couldnt try more than half a piece of toast, they put Chiles in vinegar, and bay leaves take away everything from the ceviche. The fish flavor only leaves a very strong taste of vinegar with bay leaf, eww the worst 10 dollars I have ever spent.
