On 07/13/24 I held my Baby Shower for 100ppl at Oki Doki. I paid everything on the spot and signed the contract. The agreement with the Venues Daughter during the contract was for 100plates & I would be allowed to bring Catered Brisket to be on standby in case more people showed up. Upon Arrival the venue was still not setup, the guests were arriving and the placement of the gift table, treats were being done while my guests were already there (all table placement had already been discussed and yet nothing was done they were still setting up at 1:30pm). Event time 1-5pm. The owner then started raising her voice at me in front of my guests and family very unprofessional tone, aggressive attitude and facial remarks to say the least stating she was not ok with these arrangements i told her this was discussed and agreed at the time of the contract with her daughter still she demanded $100 be paid right then & there otherwise theyre would be problems i asked her to please reference the contract she hesitated i asked to contact her daughter since I have my witness for my contract and during the signing and paying. She would not, for the sake of it all my husband and aunts were witnessing this and so we paid $100 she demanded to avoid the owner being disruptive already . At that we asked for the food to be served at 2pm. at 2:30 my aunts & I approached & asked for a status of the food for which the owner stated the waiters had not arrived. at 3pm still my guests were without food so I asked and she said they were already plating the food. The food would not be served until 3:30pm my guests ate semi-warm to cold food & the owner stated they would only serve for 2 hours...how would that complete the 2 hours? if they didnt start until 3:30. Additionally in the tea there was an insect found another family member with hair in the food. And by that time the female owner was gone and I could only think the other man there giving orders was her husband/son. The only thing positive that i paid extra for a moon jump so the kids were entertained playing while my other guests were enjoying the games meantime we went without food until 3:30-5pm. I am not fond of bad reviews but i feel the need to tell you all please DO NOT book OkiDoki for your next event, the owner took no accountability for neither the venue being setup, the extreme delay in food, the cold food, the food with the insects. I felt bad for the waiters, having that type of management. Please if its for any special occasion PLEASE consider another venue and I say this with much sincerity. All my family aunts/uncles witnessed the owners unprofessionalism but for the sake of it all we still managed to make the best of it between me and my family.

The lady was with an attitude as soon as we arrived and was checking on us like we were outrageous people at a baby shower not very good business with the lady very upsetting at this event even visiting from out of town

The lady and her family are very polite and courteous. They work with you so that your event goes off without any issues. They are flexible with the dj, caterers, and photo booth people so they can set up.
