Very good Chile relleno and my wife enjoyed her caldo de res. Service was courteous and fast. Price was right. Good for a bite to eat but not a good place for a romantic dinner. UPDATE: They have great breakfasts too, and the price is right. And now, at their new location, the ambience is better.

We ordered gorditas of chicharron and another of nopales a la Mexicana, and a breakfast plate of migas with egg. It was delicious and had an authentic homemade Mexican flavor. Coffee was flavorful and very hot. Loved it. Will definitely come back when were in town.

I will start by saying that some of the dishes are tasty, but only partial parts of the plate, the barbacoa here is delicious, their refried beans are tasty but the potatoes are cold,soggy and tasteless. The huevos rancheros have a good presentation but the cooks have a lot to learn. For 6.99 you get 2 eggs, refried beans, potatoes and bacon. The eggs were under cooked, i asked for over medium eggs but the whites were raw, the potatoes were cold, soggy and tasteless, the salsa was delicious, the bacon was very tasty, also the refried beans. The flour and corn tortillas were okay nothing special about their flavor. They bring you chips and a delicious salsa while you wait and they are tasty. The staff was not really attentive, i told them how my eggs were under cooked and how the potatoes were stone cold, i noticed other customers didnt eat their potatoes also probably for the same reason as me and they just didnt care. I would rate this place 4/5 but hopefully their manager will take note on these observations, Ill come again in the near future to see if things have changed.

Poor service. Waitresses walk around like they are forced to work there. They didn t have some of their menu items. They take too long to bring the food out. 2 Edinburg police officers walked out without eating the meals they had ordered because they never got them. An hour wait for breakfast food is too long.I found a large piece of Saran Wrap in my meal and the waitress said it was normal to find pieces of plastic since they wrap the meat in Saran Wrap. Had it been a child that didn t know better they could ve choked on that plastic. They didn t offer to make it better. They however do give exceptional service when they know the person that walks in the door. Definitely do not recommend and I am not a picky person and I tend to not complain because I know their job isn t easy but this restaurant really does lack in all areas.
