Dont order Ribeye!!! The place looks well themed as an old Texan diner, so it is cozy and nice. It is clean, and the bathroom was clean, too :). Service was good, no frills, just good service, not excellent, not bad, just good service. The food was not what I was hoping for, especially when ordering a Ribeye steak in Texas. It wasnt Ribeye - i am sure it was Chuck Eye, a ribeye cousin. I was hoping to get it medium, I was told they only cooked steaks well done. When the steak arrived, it was as hard as a horse steak. I asked the server to make sure it was a Ribeye, and she said it was. So, I do not recommend you order a Ribeye steak here. I guess that is what you get when ordering a $19 Ribeye - no such thing! I think it was sirloin or some other cut. As someone who grills Ribeyes all the time, I know that even when well done, a Ribeye is a Ribeye. This is why they get one star. I was gaslit to believe I was eating a Ribeye. They rest of the group seemed ok with the food. Here is a photo of the Ribeye (I should have asked if it was horse ribeye :) )

Cute place brought down for them trying to nickel and dime you for everything. When I asked for water the waitress boldly brought me a bottled water and when I had asked for tap she told me they didnt have any as if I was supposed to believe that when they make their own teas. Service is a mixed bag. If there are more than 5 tables currently being used, dont expect any service. I had to get up and look for my own spoon to stir my coffee with after asking for cream and sugar for it. Anyway I spent more than double for what Id usually spend for breakfast so despite the cute atmosphere I will not be coming here again.

When a Restaurant can t serve tap water (Bottled only $) and TWO tiny biscuits with fake butter spread are $6.88), it s a bad start. Add the 2/2/2 breakfast for $11.00 the 2 pancakes were nasty and the low grade coffee was almost $3 and you get a really lousy dining experience for over $25 including the tip. I will never go back. The reviews were mixed and i should have paid more attention because the bad reviews were absolutely right.

Quiet place. It took us a long time to get a hamburger and cheese enchilada meal, & my enchilada meal was cold. . Fries came 10 minutes after hamburger ordered as a meal. Make sure to define soft tortillas for corn or flour. They won t ask. Didn t come back to make sure food was fine. Until we were ready to leave.,The server reminded me if my sweet daughter, thus the 2 for service. Probably not ever coming back.

Update 04/03/2024 My wife brought her own water from home. The waitress would not allow her to have it, even though she explained she didnt like restaurant water. We have never had this issue with ANY restaurant we have visited. Very narrow minded staff, we were willing to pay for a good amount of food, and they turn us away for a glass of water. We will not be coming back. The atmosphere is like a country store, with a lot of country decor. My experience is mixed. Even though they are trying to go country, it ends up being another Mexican restaurant. The waitress spoke no English, most of the menu was Mexican style dishes and the sodas only came in bottles (no refill). It took a while to get our food. The country dish I did order was the ground beef steak with gravy, mashed potatoes and corn. I didnt want corn but they refused to substitute it for anything. The gravy was very thick and salty and looked like it came out of a package. No onions. Potatoes were ok. They put salsa on the table but no free chips - you have to pay, so I told her to to take it away. My wifes Mexican plate was good. Fajitas were tasty, tortillas were homemade (excellent) and rice was good. Overall, the dishes are overpriced for what you get. I can spend less with better quality at another restaurant. I have not tried there other dishes, but my guess is that they specialize in Mexican food, so dont be fooled by the decor. I may come back just to try something else, but it wont be at the top of my list.

Went for brunch on a Sunday. Got there at 10:40 and ordered. Waitress didn t show up again after ordering. Had to look for someone at 11:30 to check the status of our food. We were told the food was barely put in. The manager says it was because it was full and had orders before. However, been there before and this had not happened. Would have liked at least to be updated or asked if we need anything by the waitress. Manager was not helpful either. Would not be going there again.

We come here most Sundays. All the servers are nice, helpful and quick. I pretty consistently get the migas a la rancheras and they are SO GOOD! My husband gets the migas a la mexicana and he loves them. The tortillas are fresh, both the corn and flour! Kid-friendliness: They play older cartoons on a projector screen in the back dining area.

was here for about 2 hours when we had planned on a quick lunch the server took 20-30 minutes to take our order and I had to flag her down to even get her to come over so I guarantee it would have been longer. I cant even give you her name because she did not introduce herself and then the food took just as long for it to be mediocre. the french toast and tacos had little to no taste and the cowboy tacos tortillas fell apart as soon as touched. when I first arrived I was instructed to leave my water bottle because I could not have it and left it at the front desk as they said they d hold it. As I was ready to leave they lost it and went to look for it as they finally found it they proceeded to tell me it was in the trash. absolutely not coming back.

Service from all staff members is very poor ..... Very unorganized. As we walked in we were told to wait to be seated and as we were waiting 3 other people walked in and sat at table they were immediately attended to. We were sat on a dirty table, and had to wait for menus. Then had to wait along time just to get out order taken, then drinks and food. For a total of about 1hr and 15 minutes. Servers looked to be trying their best, management needs improvement.

My friends wanted to try a new place near their new apartment, so I agreed to join them. The decor was nice and appealing to the eye but the big red bench swing was very dangerous especially when you have small curious children so definitely a hazard. They bring you four or five different salsas but if you want chips, it s extra. The food was not completely terrible but the rice was definitely reheated to the point where the rice kernels popped inside out. The sweet tea was good. The botana for two was pretty pricey and they were pretty stingy with the chicken and beef fajitas, not even a handful of each meat was on the botana. They gave us two giant tortillas that had to be torn in half so we could make more than one taco but they were hot and fresh. Wish they would include at least the first basket of chips complementary to go with the salsas but overall, I don t think I would return. Owners need to really consider being less frugal with their food if they want customers to return. Returning customers are what makes a restaurant successful, so if I were the owners, I would listen to the feedback and try to do better. No one is perfect so there s ALWAYS room for improvement.

We always like to go at this place , food is good, but waitresses service is really bad, they have no manners, they need to take a costumer service class, and learn how to treat costumers, we are always very polite with them, but seem that they don t know what that word means, today I order a Mexican barbecue plate they did not brought me salsa, so we keep calling the waitress and have no answer, so my husband went to the front desk to tell the lady that we want the salsa, and she said I m not you waitress, what kind of answer is that, instead of said I ll call someone for you, and then when the waitress finally arrived to ask what we want, we told her and she left and took long to bring the salsa by the time she comes I was almost done with my food. I do not recommend this place if you like refried beans, since you cannot substitute your regular beans with refried beans even if there is and xtra charge which I didnt mind paying. This place is absolutely old-world on the inside. There are antiques everywhere, the walls are great topics for conversation and the service is attentive. The food is great, so great that you can easily spend half the day there eating breakfast watching a movie on the projector screen and look around and realize its lunch time! Mother s Day you want to have a nice breakfast/lunch with the family. Flies everywhere, rude customer service cause I took a cake for mom (even though we didn t need to eat it there but couldn t leave it in car), it was so hot in the building and they don t substitute any food for another. Would not give us a glass of water!! Wanted us to buy bottled. Brought 2 of us our meals quickly. The third meal a bit later and the fourth meal took awhile . Food was good with the exception of the meat in the meat bowl meal.

Bought a caldo de Res (beef) and the vegetables were hard like if they had put them just there in boiling water and the broth was clear no flavor nothing very disappointed. They took over 30 min to bring it out so maybe because they were trying for vegetables to soften but they did not and the meat flavor was like if it was previous done coming from a family that make caldo i know this caldo was just made in 15 minutes

My husband and I went there for lunch today. He had the chicken fried steak special and I had the taco special. The tacos had approximately one tablespoon at the most of ground beef and I could actually count the strands of cheese which were 5 strands on one and 6 on the other. No spices or seasoning at all on the meat and it was only filled halfway at the most. $7.99 for that garbage! My husbands chicken fried steak was so bad he couldnt even eat it.. it had no taste and it was like they fried that meat in oil that had been sitting there for a long time and used for several other things. Is definitely rancid oil! Were usually not picky people but that was the most terrible meal for the price and then when we complained she said we had to pay for it even though we couldnt eat it.. Finally after about 10 minutes of arguing they took the Chicken fried steak off of the bill.. The waitress that took our order never came back to the table once.. If you really like good food do not go to this place!

Worst service ever. We walked in and took a seat and waited 15 minutes without anyone attending us. I locked eyes with multiple waitresses and they just ignore you. Would not recommend to anyone

Service is HORRIBLE! We were 3 people and all 3 ordered a coffee. My cousin always carries her big yeti cup with her and doesn t like leaving it in the car. Manager came out and said to take it out because she was going to get in trouble because they have cameras and could see she had a cup. To which we told her then they could see we ordered 3 drinks what s wrong with the cup being there! She asked to put it on a chair where cameras wouldn t see it. Food was okay, nothing special to want to go back.

Awful experience & didn t even eat here. Walked in, no one greeted us. Clearly they saw 3 adults standing at entrance. Finally after having to ask if we could pick a table we were told to sit where a table was available. Waited at a table for a few minutes waiting for someone to clean off a table and again waitresses just walking by as if we aren t standing there waiting. WE LEFT. We would ve been ok had someone acknowledged us but NO. Awful customer service.

Never going back I had a caldo Tlalpeño it was nasty. They dont know to make it !! Sorry for the cook. And the hamburger my boyfriend ordered he wanted mustard they put mayonnaise. He said the meat was nasty. He only ate the fries. But yeah its a down never going back.
