Dfw nurse foody here! Another nurse brought in tacos for this great place down the street she knew and after one bite I knew someone had kidnapped the cooks that used to make my favorite tacos over off Cooks lane in Fort Worth and transplanted them to Duncanville. One bite and U was on the phone with the Mrs. Telling her our favorite taco shop that we thought we lost for ever Lives Again!! VIVA TACOS CANTÙ! Never leave us without telling us where you are going again. She s so happy I m going to brig her some home in the morning. Thank you guys for everything you do ;)

The atmosphere is clean and welcoming 1 star. Service was professional and courteous 1 star. I ordered a 5 taco plate with double rice no beans and a cucumber lime agua fresca. I got (1) barbacoa, (2) chicken and (2) beef fajita tacos. ALL of the meat was dry. The fajita meat was chopped up so tiny it looked like ground beef. The tortillas were good. The rice was ok.. tasted like boxed rice. Definitely not worth the money!!

This was our first time visiting this establishment. The lady who took our order was very nice and polite. She helped with the menu varieties We order the 5 flour tacos split with chicken and fajitas meat. Along with the gorditas plate..1 chicken 1 fajitas. Drinks: melon juice along with cucumber lime juice. The cucumber lime was so delicious, so refreshing. I was very pleased at the cleanliness of the restaurant bathrooms especially. I would return again just for the cucumber lime juice.

UPDATE 07/19/2024: This establishment has gone down a hill slide since I last visited. The food was cooked as such scorching hot temperatures it made the meat chewy. All staff were seen chewing food while they worked. The tortillas were also overcooked, I left one on the table to show staff and it had turned into a crispy taco shell. When I asked the cashier for my receipt so I could contact someone (and after I had expressed some of my concerns) she told me to put it on Google. They do not even provide contact information to the manager etc. Basically everyone here is reheating food and doing what they want. Now I know why there were only 3 tables occupied. Owners/Manager: get your house in order. I hate to see a place like this, that brings authentic and tex mex together to go down hill so quickly. Orig review: The Paradilla was delicious! The sauces they served with it were very spicy and full of flavor. The meats of the Paradilla were flavorful and tender. The beans were good but lacked salt and the rice was very good. My partner had the beef nachos. The nacho chips were amazing and homemade. But they choose to use a low quality processed cheese to go with the wonderful beef and chips, my only complaint. The water was filtered, as a self proclaimed water snob this is something that I find so refreshing and fairly cheap, that restaurants should always offer. We also had the Carmel filled Churro and that too was amazing. My feedback is to upgrade the processed nacho cheeses to a three cheese with sharp, cotija cheese, and maybe some monterey cheese. Outside of that, they brought their A game. Oh I saw someone say that the place smelled, but the place did not smell to me and was very clean. I saw staff cleaning tables as people were exiting their tables. Parking: Plenty of space at dinner time. Kid-friendliness: They have kids plates.

First time here and ordered 10 breakfast tacos to go. Got home and found only 9 tacos and the ones that were supposed to be corn tortillas were flour and vice versa (2 tacos correct). Went back to find no manager on duty. Showed the worker food and order. After cooking them again (hopefully) they came back with 10 tacos, but only 4 of the tacos were corn/flour correct. No apology, no discount, no coupon, not even the first incorrect order, nothing for 2 trips which they didnt get right. Tacos are incredibly small, average tasting, and I paid $30.

The only good thing in this place was the guacamole. The flour tortillas were hard & greasy. The fajita meat was not fajita, and the pineapple aqua tasted like watered down pineapple juice from a can. Disappointed!! The food is good, Ive been twice and the first time the rice was incredible and the second time it didnt taste the same, which is why it lacks consistency. I came back the second time for the food because the service was very apathetic and I was standing at the checkout for a long time waiting to be served and the girls passed by the checkout and they didnt say give me a minute or even turn to look at me. And the second time was worse! The cashier girl was a little more friendly but the one who brought the food to the table had a bitter face that I couldnt handle, I hope everything is fine for your house. They have a half-open kitchen and even the man who cooks looked at us with a very unfriendly face. Its close to me, I like the food but the customer service is definitely what makes you come back and here I dont think my friends and I will no longer return, unfortunately. We were left with a very bad taste in our mouths because of so many bad faces and I assure you that we as clients were very tolerant and friendly from the moment we arrived.

Very cool store with hanging lights on the ceiling that gives a starry night kinda vibe. The staff was very nice and accommodating. I asked for Pozole, and the chef in the back said she didnt have enough but asked if I was ok waiting so she could make me some. She reminded me of an aunt who wants to make sure you got enough to eat. I also got 3 pastor tacos. Good size tacos with fresh onion and cilantro rounded out the meal I got. If youve never tried a Melon Agua Fresca, then try theirs its great!

The beef tacos with cheese, onion, cilantro and lime were wonderful. The red sauce was mild with a slight roasted flavor. The green sauce had a nice spice. Counter service was friendly and fast. I order the beef enchiladas and they were amazing! They were not soggy AT ALL. The person I was with ordered the 5 tacos (flour), and let me tell you, I ve never had a flour tortillas made so perfectly. Great ambiance and a cute, chill spot to grab some amazing food. Bought a taco plate with 5 tacos. The restaurant wasn t busy and we waited 35 minutes for the order. Ordered 3 different types of meats. But Only got 4 fajita + 1 barbacoa. The barbacoa was really dry. The chips were stale and they forgot to give the salsa so we had to go back inside the restaurant to ask for it. I have been here several times and absolutely love the atmosphere. It is calm and quite and always the perfect amount of people there and the times it s packaged I order for today.. see pics for the different items I have tried the service is always spectacular no matter who takes the order. Chill dinner option thats cute enough to have a dinner date at. Amazing food with homemade corn tortillas. The salsa verde is smooth with just the right amount of spicy. The horchata and piña are also great. Be careful with the churros, they are made fresh and I burnt my mouth the first time I had it, no regrets though. Everytime I come I try a new thing. Good customer service and nice atmosphere (cute, quiet place to grab a bite). Convenient access from the highway. Food came out pretty quickly too. Ordered the taco plate and I had to squeeze the grease out before I could eat them because they were so greasy, but the flavor was really good. Pros and cons. Pros: food taste great! Everything is made fresh. I live about 7 mins or so from there and by the time I got home and settled it was still hot. Atmosphere nice and clean. Service, super friendly and informative. I would definitely be back! Cons: I personally didnt experience it, but was a witness of it. I noticed the people who were dining in had to get up and wait in line for refills on their drinks. Personally, I dont think they should have to wait in the same line with people who are ordering their food just for a drink. But they were. I dont know if refills were free or not. I didnt get any salsa with my food, even though the picture showed it came with it. So it was missing that little kick in my opinion. They have chips and salsa but it wasnt free. I had to pay I believe $4.50. Granted, chips were freshly made for sure. It burned a hole through the container. But I did feel that the size of salsa was pretty small compared to the large container of chips that were given. Overall, the quality and quantity is great. Prices are reasonable & should definitely be given a shot. Ill definitely be back!

I moved here from Indiana almost a year ago and I ve struggled to find reallly good tacos. I decided to give this place a try. I came around 9, looked at the menu for a bit and the cashier didn t make me feel rushed at all and happily answered all of my questions. First time ever trying this location, I was disappointed. When my husband walked up to the counter he said had a mobile order, instead of say ok may I have the name the one of the girls in the front said oh I aint doing that and gave him her back. Than told another girl there to do it and she said oh I aint doing that either. Granted my order was placed already over the phone all they had to do was go check if it was ready. A kind guy came out the back and helped him and gave the food to him and helped verify what we ordered. Food is good drink of Pina tastes like there was old food in it. The quality and presentation of the food and drinks is top level. The cups are hand made from Mexico and add so much to the already amazing agua frescas. My favorite is the cucumber with lime. This was our first time in. We drove by and decided to give it a try. The place was clean and the staff was friendly. We ordered to go and ate while we drove. We ordered the steak tacos on corn. First time here, great experience. During our visit the atmosphere was quiet, and unoccupied. The staff was attentive and reminded us that drinks are refillable. The food was brought fast and presentable, and most importantly hot. We visited on a Thursday afternoon 1-2pm. The building is modern and airy with minimalist decor and approach. The restroom looked clean and modern. The restaurant is located next to Starbucks so this is a Plus since I love coffee after a good meal. The cashier is not friendly does not even say hello. Food is good but portions are tiny. Salsas are delicious and the aguas frescas are great too. I ordered the gordita plate and the gorditas were like a mini version.

The chicken enchiladas were very dry and there was literally like 3 piceces of chopped meat in the tortilla. The chips and salsa was great but extremely too spicy to keep eating and I love spice. Some of the chips were very stale and not edible. I spent $11 and some change total so I m not upset but I m upset I did bother spending the money. The enchiladas should ve been juicier and meatier and the enchiladas just completely fall apart. I m sad because I believe I ordered from here before and the street tacos were great but the enchiladas, not so much. Not sure if I ll be back..

This place is so good and cute. The customer service is awesome, the prices are so affordable, and the food is pretty authentic. Honest review, the enchiladas de queso were soooooo good. The flautas we good but kind of plain, I wish there a little more seasoning in the chicken but that s my preference. But they are so generous in toppings and it helps. The horchata was GOOD! The portions are generous and they serve on these clay dishes which keep the drinks so cold and fresh. Definitely worth a visit in my opinion, I will return!

Came in for some tacos, a quick taco plate. Couldn t help but notice that Latino people who came in after me were getting their food, but all the black people were standing to the side still waiting for our food. I can t say for sure but it looks really strange that only Latino people were getting their food. They had to look for my order as well as the 2 black people behind me. Dropped in by chance after grabbing a cup of coffee next door and tried a chicken and egg breakfast taco no cheese with green salsa! So so so good and very affordable. Hit the spot and I can t wait to come back and try some more menu items. Tastes really authentic and full of flavor! I moved halfway across the country and left behind familiar favorites my family made. This place soothed a part of me I didn t know needed tending to. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is still and calming. I had flautas and a horchata and it was all so delicious. I live super close by and I m only now visiting. My first time here and I saw 3 beautiful ladies/sisters cooking in the back,so I knew it was the real deal. I had the beef tortas and they were very delicious. My husband and I go all over DFW trying different Mexican restaurants and this is by far in my Top 5 now! Gordita s was my choice and just two on the plate had me stuffed! This place is very very good. Honestly expected it to be more tex-mex, or hipster based on its location and decor, but it was not thankfully and much more authentic.
