I went in right between breakfast and lunch wanting a hold my meat breakfast burrito. They were preparing the dishes for lunch so they weren t focusing on breakfast at that moment, but when I gave the owner my order he said he would make me one with a smile and had it ready in less than 5 minutes. Not only that but was all incredibly fresh and hot! It was also less than $5 and is way bigger than any taco bell burrito and costs less than one from a taco truck. The other employees were friendly and worked with efficiency and it looked very clean behind the counter. I plan on returning and appreciate the good service and food! Vegetarian options: No meat burrito, well seasoned.

Nice friendly service! I had the beef tips smothered in gravy, candied yams, and cabbage with sausage. It also came with a cornbread muffin. Solid soul food! I liked everything but I should have gotten collard greens instead of the cabbage. I suppose I was actually in the mood for the collard greens because I tried some that my friend ordered and it was excellent! If youre in the mood for some no frills soul food I would definitely check out Soul Lit Kitchen on the corner of FM646 & FM517, inside the Chevron gas station.

Listen to me and listen to me real good this place is not o he slept on the food is packed with flavor you can tell it was cooked with love I got the honey chicken it s perfectly glazed and juicy the macaroni and cheese is creamy and cheesy to perfection the yams are yamming and don t even get me started on the rice and gravy I don t even really do rice and gravy but this rice and gravy made my day the only thing I regret on my order is not ordering 5 more cornbreads .signing out gotta get back to it

For $22.99 I expect to get more than 4 oxtails. The lady said a plate has 6-7 oxtails. It did not. I ll just keep going off Cullen in Houston bc they give you like 10 oxtails for the same price with a large drink.

I worked from home today and decided to go try them out since they right around the corner from home and soooo glad I did , I had a vegetable plate and them Collard greens were so good savory and creole taste I could have eaten a whole bowl , the other veggies mac and cheese and yams were just a good home cooked

The food here is amazing!!! We tried the meatloaf, hamburger steak, garlic chicken, and all the sides. Everything was full of flavor and the spice was spot on! Yall this place will surprise you!!! I can not wait to try the oxtails! I FINALLY got the oxtails!!! So good! spot on with flavor!!! Highly recommend ... Good Job Soul Lit Kitchen

Went several time to Texas city not open to hours posted . Left message someone called me back stating they moved location to fm646 in Dickinson. Went to that location and no food or even preparation to start selling food. This place is a joke! Spoke to whom ever the man was and I stated spoke to you today. I advised him him business is not going to work having people drive so many miles to not get service. His response was I dont need your business. I said Good Luck !

Generous soul food that nourishes body and soul. My wife said she could make a meal of their tasty cabbage cooked with tasty sausage. Her beef tips were tender and savory while my smothered hamburger steak was perfectly seasoned. Many times I resort to hot sauce to save a meal but it didn t need it and I m the kind of guy that loves my Tabasco/Chohula/Crystal/Cajun Chef/Louisiana Hot Sauce on pretty much anything. Be sure that if you have a Bay Area Food Lovers card to hand it to cashier when he rings up your order. He ll give you your discount and your ticket to give to the Busy Bee gas station cashier. Most definitely worth the drive from Webster. The food quality reminded me of the original location of This Is It in Houston. Just like that O.G. spot, I took home some food for later.

Located inside of Buzzy Bee convenience store gas station. Food & portions are worth every penny, Ive tried the oxtails, hamburger steak, smothered pork chops, honey garlicky chicken. Theyre all AMAZING!! Plates come with rice and gravy under your meat, 2 sides, and corn muffin. Ive tried cabbage, collard greens, macaroni and cheese, yams. Yall better go pick you up some lunch or supper, just go get you some. Parking: Parking lot is the Buzzy Bee convenience Store Wheelchair accessibility: Convenience Store is handicap accessible

I ordered food from here via Uber Eats @work and I must say that I was impressed. Really great flavored food. The Ox Tail dinner w/rice, cabbage & Mac & Cheese was good. I even ordered the garlic mashed potatoes. I will say that the Ox tails could have been a little more tender... Otherwise, I will be definitely more lunches from this place....
