Randomly found this place last minute while visiting my mother searching nearby table service lunch spots. I didn t know anything about this joint food and shopping venue, so I was a little skeptical but the reviews were to consistent not to try How grateful I am Shelton s was the choice! Food was absolutely exquisite!!! Shelton was a one man band yet he had the flavor and creativity in his food of 10 chefs cooking. My Mother and Aunt are suuuuuuuper particular with food so I was a little nervous. There batting average for returning food is .811. They absolutely loved it. If I had travelled all the way from Frisco to DeSoto just to experience Shelton s it would ve been worth it! We had the Chimmichuri Steak and Salmon bowls, pancakes, burger and fries, and the fruit drinks. All absolutely delicious! He was efficient and accommodating handling multiple orders at one time. While there was a small wait, we were blown away how quickly he was able to get such detailed food on our table. The venue is similar to Legacy Hall in Plano on an entry level hometown scale. It is charming and all the vendors are super friendly, grateful, engaging and happy you are there. We will be returning!

Food was fresh and delicious! Cant wait to go back. I ordered the chicken rice bowl and it did not disappoint. The staff was kind and took the time to chat with me as I was a new customer. I was told they also serve vegan cake slices at times. I plan to grab a slice on the next visit. Definitely worth the wait for the food. It didnt take long but it is NOT a fast food restaurant. Food is cooked to order so be patient.

We stopped by for the first time last weekend. The man at the register was so helpful. He went over the menu and just had excellent customer service. It s hard to find that now of days! After we sampled the vegan cake, we definitely had to try the food. Can t believe that cake was vegan, it was so moist and fresh. My sister and I both tried the steak veggie hash. OMGGGGG. One of the best plates I ve ate all year! And don t get me started on the lemonade. I ll definitely be BACK!

I ordered the vegan french toast sandwich, which came with JUST egg, Beyond Sausage, and potatoes on the side. It was INCREDIBLE. Highly recommend. They added extra subtle spices to everything that enhanced the flavor even more. These guys can cook.

Food was really good. I ordered the French toast sandwich based upon other reviews and it did not disappoint. I also ordered the steak sandwich and it was good. I would have liked a tad bit more seasoning on the steak but it was still very good. The fries were seasoned very well. I enjoyed both meals. And they were very generous with the condiments. I look forward to trying other dishes from the menu.

Sheltons Cafe has superb food but more importantly, good people. I work for Oncor Electric and we had a group training on Wednesday when Sheltons Cafe is closed. I was the only person who wanted a different meal in my group, but they made accommodations just for me! The Chicken Rice Bowl was amazing!!!!!!!!!!!

5 out of 5 for Shelton! The food is mouthwatering and the customer service is top notch. In a city that s hard up for vegan options, Sheltons is a beacon of light! My meal was SO good I came back 2 days in a row and I will continue to swing by when I m in town. The reason I gave 5 stars is because EVERYONE can enjoy this place. Yes! They have something for Vegans/Vegetarians and Carnivores. The cook puts his heart and soul into the food and you could tell with every bite. They also have electronic ordering from 2 screens in the front or if you have questions about the menu you can speak with the main cashier who is just as wonderful as he can be. His personality really shines and you can tell he too, loves working there. Don t sleep on Sheltons cause this IS IT Honey!

Purchased 3 of the crafted lemonades. Cucumber Mint was amazing and refreshing. Strawberry Ginger was great as well. The Blueberry Lemongrass was okay but not as good as the other two. I will likely try some of the food items at a later time. It will like be a lunch/dinner plate due to my personal dislike of Turkey Bacon Service was absolutely amazing which is one of the main reason I will definitely be back to try more. I ll stop by for that lemonade any day though.

Stopped in and decided to try one of their vegan options. Ordered the vegan chicken and waffles. Absolutely delicious. Definitely surprised how palatable everything was. The food is seasoned and cooked to perfection. I watched the chef plate my food and he definitely takes great pride in the entire culinary process. The service was awesome. I sampled the vegan pound cake and the apple cobbler pound cake. Both were amazing but I settled on the strawberry pound cake. Definitely worth every penny. This will be one of many visits.

As someone who lives in Lancaster and is tired of only fast food near me this place is like a dream come true. Their lunch and breakfast is sooo good. Everything is definitely made with love and good quality ingredients. So far I ve tried their chimichurri steak rice bowl and the French toast sandwich. They were both amazing and worth the price! I m determined to try everything on the menu because I know I won t be disappointed. 10000/10 literally so delicious. (Wish I took pictures but I devoured it before I could lol)

I was able to stop by Shelton s for breakfast this morning and it was well worth the wait. Definitely not fast food- I order the vegan hash which included (Brussel sprouts, potatoes, red onion, okra). I never thought to add okra to my hash at home but will do it now. The herbs used to season food left such a vibrant aroma. The vegan hash was filling enough for breakfast and lunch. Will try the French toast and oyster mushrooms next time! Also- hood to support the vendors in grow market!

If you have not been, you need to go!! The food is always a hit never a miss. They cook it fresh so there s a little wait especially if they are busy but it s worth it like really worth it. Make sure you grab some cake to also skip Uber eats and DoorDash and go pick it up and get the lemonade!

Darn good food made with love and high quality ingredients! I got the spates plate and it was delicious and filling. The scrambled eggs were cooked to perfection, candied turkey bacon was very tasty, and the cilantro potatoes were so good ( quite possibly the best potatoes Ive ever eaten) Had a little difficulty finding the location as the sign is small, but Im glad I did. Its in the market place along with many other small businesses and restaurants. Ill definitely be back to explore more of Sheltons menu Second meal here just as tasty as my first, highly recommend. Loved the turkey based breakfast meats option. Ordered the French Toast Sandwich and the Turkey Sausage and Turkey bacon sandwich. There was one piece of bacon cut in half and a handful of potatoes on that sandwich. Taste of both was good. French toast was the best of the two. The portions are small and for the price did not come with any sides or drink which was disappointing. Customer service was good. Not sure if I will visit again however I wish them much success.

For years, I drove past this parking lot and never knew the building contained small businesses, mostly minority owned. Sheltons Cafe is one of those businesses. I have had several different dishes here, and everything was excellent. I highly recommend the French toast breakfast sandwich and the vegetarian hash. Both are simply amazing. Plan to take your food to go. This is not a traditional cafe where you are seated and served . You go up to a counter and order. There are some tables available if you want to relax and eat there. One last comment. Like a lot of business, he is having issues with staff, so be patient if hes the only one there tending the counter, customers, and making the food. He is trying to fix this issue. This sandwich was like none other I have tasted before. Frenchtoast hugging a cage free egg with cheese and candied turkey bacon!!!! What a gem! Sheltons is a small neighborhood food trailer with great breakfast. The Sheltons Sammie breakfast sandwich with the sausage and bacon is a must. This is a fantastic hidden gem. We were in Austin from San Antonio and this was one of the only reasonably priced places that was open that was near downtown Austin that we could find. Shelton s Signature is a fantastic burger! Deserves to be in the conversation for best in Austin because of its flavorful seasoning and his secret aioli. The thick steak fries are also very well seasoned. We will definitely be going there again soon. Because it is in the same food park as Cuantos Tacos, a tourist-favorite place, Shelton s gets overlooked. However, it should be the premier destination in that food truck park!!!

Sumptuously! Everyone should eat here at least once! The coffee and food was absolutely amazing! This is an ordinary food truck, but the chef in it is incredible. I very often go to restaurants, but nowhere, even in the most expensive one, have I eaten such delicious and high-quality food for a very long time. I thought both breakfast sandwiches I tried were very tasty. The French toast sandwich was simple yet decadent in a way that doesn t make you feel like a blob afterward. The Shelton Sammie was complex and a favorite. I think after trying both, my perfect order is a Shelton Sammie with a side of syrup for dipping. Shelton s Cafe in the park is such an genuine and beautiful spot for breakfast. I went for lunch with my husband. I got the Shelton s Sammie, it was delicious. It was so filling and the flavors were perfect. The candied turkey bacon really stands out and goes nicely with the sandwich. Shelton s on the cafe is located in a nice food truck park. You can tell when someone puts their love into the food they make. Shelton s meals are just that! Nothing beats quality steak and eggs for a great price and his breakfast potatoes are addicting. Luckily my husband and I are staying near by, so we can easily come back. For us, it was a more relaxed feel than going to a restaurant for brunch. Overall, the service and food is incredible. Highly recommend!! Thank you Shelton and your lovely assistant! I just stopped by and got the 1/2 French toast sandwich and a coffee. I cannot recommend enough. The food is insanely delicious, and the service was outstanding. If you find yourself on the eastside, do not miss this gem.

The food is so good! My favorite is the French toast sandwich right now. My go to meal is the Sammie! Those potatoes are addicting. I know because I eat them every week!

The chicken sandwich and herbs potato wedges were amazing. The chicken was a really generous helping and the caramelized onions really made it. Im so glad we stopped by, will definitely be coming back!

This place is SO good! We got the sirloin sandwich and the vegan hash- it felt like fine dining. Both were amazing! Shelton was super nice and you could tell he put a lot of love into the food.
