I was at this hotel just when they opened in their first week. The customer service was excellent.. and I decided to go back but this time everything changed.. my first week the morning staff the lady by the name of Faith! was very aggressive on repeated occasions; under a small problem that could have been resolved well; and as a result of her lack of respect, I asked to speak to her manager; Mrs. Faith yelled at me and told me that no one tells her how to do her job, I really did not understand why this employee was so aggressive; Days later I managed to express this situation with one of the managers of the place. However, the situation continued to escalate. Added to this another lady by the name of (Kim) seemed to take the same behavior or worse; but I decided to ignore these two disrespectful people; yesterday Saturday some African Americans were talking to Faith and they all laughed very loudly in unison it seemed like they were acquaintances; I was at one of the tables writing; shortly after, two Latino boys passed by and Faith treated them once again with great rudeness, for which I called Faiths attention because it didnt seem right to me that she used that form of treatment with Latinos, but not with the rest of the black people; Several people in this hotel I do not think deserve this type of job like the gentleman on the night shift named (Dorian) where he is absent for more than half an hour from his post and when asked questions he threatens the people who stay in this hotel.. I want you to know that there are other people who are very good and friendly like (Kris and Brenda and Kameron) and the rest of the cleaning staff people who really have respect for others and make this place a welcoming place while these aforementioned people use discrimination and disrespect with other people who stay in this hotel.. It is very uncomfortable to be in a place where they discriminate against you and treat you in this way but they only do it when they are alone they are embarrassing I hope this situation is resolved because this has been happening with Latinos in this place and I have been a witness and victim of such treatment.thank u Rooms: The rest of the Employees they work hard to make sure that everyone is happy and safe

Very clean Lobby, easy parking, clean room and comfortable bed. The showers are really nice and I appreciate the mini fridge since I travel with medications. I will definitely save this spot for future travel plans to the Dallas area.

I love staying at the hotel! The day and night attendants were awesome. They went above and beyond to make sure I was accommodated!! Food and drinks: There s a Cracker Barrel right across the street. And up the service road so many other restaurants and stores!

Recently built hotel. About 2,000 ft from I-35E. The hotel in the rooms were recently built and still had that brand new smell. Decent sized TV as well as refrigerator in room. The only downside was the shower which didnt have very much water pressure but I made due with the very reasonable rate charged. Would visit again!

Kindly asked about a disabled room and if we could have it once guests checked out the following day. She said I had to request that room online. Not everyone is doing business online and some guests have circumstances that change. I was coming from a previous Comfort Suites property with issues. The first room smelled. They said it was the cleaning solutions they used. I was given another room...and the musty smell is still here. Mind you, 5 nights prepaid to have disabled guests in a regular unit. They only have 1 ADA room in this entire building, I was told. And for the win, The knobs on the fridges have been removed so guests wont mess with the settings. [I was scared my insulin would freeze] Did they care? No. I had to drive back and forth to our home thats being remodeled to tend to meds. SMH The pool is cold. It closes at 9pm. No hot tub. Breakfast is a bit better than the other Comfort Suites location. Pros: I havent had any issues with other guests. No loud noise. Location: close to restaurants and not too far from Walmart. 7-11 nearby and great coffee machines and employees. This hotel is upgraded but the carpets need some MAJOR cleaning. Safety: I dont feel scared here. Other hotels nearby Walkability: You can walk to Cracker Barrel & 7-11

I recently stayed at this hotel, and it was a terrible experience. The room was unclean, and to make matters worse, I found roaches during my stay. This is completely unacceptable. The overall condition of the hotel left much to be desired, and the lack of cleanliness was disturbing. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Avoid staying here if you value your comfort and hygiene.

Rooms and hallway smells extremely moldy. Loud music playing from rooms at 2am. Staff at front desk was pleasant. Overall it was a horrible stay. I would absolutely not recommend. This could be possibly the worst place we could ve stayed! We were there for a law enforcement tournament for 3 days do not get room 319! Moldy restroom! Used cutips on the restroom floor! Hair dryer was not working! Mind u it s the ones drilled to the wall so I couldn t ask for another one! And on top of that ac was not working well!the room felt like musty.. the window had no screen so if your trying to sleep the sun will shine bright through! Bring an extra sheet to cover that up! Then to top it off I left my blanket behind! (we had a medical emergency) and I call to see if they could ship or a friend could pick it up and turns out it s not there?! I honestly don t know why they would want to steal a used little mermaid blanket! It s not what the blanket costs but the sentimental value it has had that blanket for 20 years! It baffles me people will steal anything I should call in a theft on them Ugh don t stay here! The price isn t worth it!

My family booked this hotel instead of others in the area because of the pool. Having time to kill with little kids after check in can be challenging. So we planned on letting them play at the pool for the evening. After booking, driving 4 hours, and checking in, the hotel staff informed us the pool was closed. They could not give a reason why it was closed and showed no care to our inconvenience. Common sense would be to advertise the closed pool so that customers can make an informed decision upon booking. Will NEVER use this hotel brand again.

I had to wait at least 5 minutes for someone to be at the front desk upon arrival for check in. Someone showed up after a few knocks on the desk and a few excuse me later. The pool was not open in the middle of the summer time, the couch in the room was dirty and the elevator had an unfavorable particular smell to it. Most likely won t be booking this hotel again.

The man at the front desk overnight was incredibly rude. When I asked to get a replacement key, and get this, it doesnt work between days because apparently they cancel the keys every single day. Thats the most ridiculous thing Ive heard. But when I asked him for one, he asked for the room. I gave him the room number and the name, but he said I wasnt on the room even though I was supposed to be. I tried to explain that my mother staying there as well is on there for sure, and wanted to show him my ID because we are related, same name. And he wouldnt even look at it. He told me I dont care who you are. He then said hed need to speak to her, so I called her and offered him my phone. He refused to talk to her. At that point, I told him that was ridiculous and he started telling me I had to leave the hotel immediately. Because of his attitude and his utterly indefensible behaviour, lack of any understanding or even the consideration to try to understand that we were staying in the same room, I was forced leave, because Im sure if I didnt he would call the police on me. I had to drive home where renovations were ongoing, and my mother, when speaking to him afterwards also received rude and dismissive attitude from him. I refused to stay another night there, never in my life have I had anyone at a hotel be so condescending and rude. He has no business working at a desk if he cant even try to talk to a customer like theyre not criminals. Anyone wanting to stay here, beware. Youll be locked out of your room each day, and if you deal with that guy, good luck. He might force you out even though youre paying to be there.

I had a great time with family. This will be our place to stay whenever family comes to town Rooms: The handicap rooms are very spacious. The rooms are very clean. Walmart and eating places are plentiful. You have a nasty front desk staff named Kim; she is insulting. I was supposed to stay in comfort suits till Friday, May 3, but because of her rude attitude, I checked out and checked into Holiday Inn Express Opposite Comfort Suits. Kim said she would have me blocked, and I would never again lodge in Comfort Suits. I am waiting for her to do so because that would save lots of trouble blocklisting myself. I wont even stay in Comfort Suits in my dreams, never again; it was a terrible experience. I have always stayed in Holiday Inn Express and no where else. The first time I tried elsewhere, I was most disappointed since I started staying in hotels. That woman has no business working in a hotel; she has issues she needs to fix her attitude and manner of talking to people.

Rooms were very clean the night shift people were very nice but, the front desk clerk while I was checking out today was super rude her name is Kim I was checking out from 3 rooms that we had stayed due to surgery done in Lancaster I had read reviews which were very good until this experience and even though we could of stayed in Lancaster we decided to stay in De Soto long story short I did my check out and to this I gave Kim my key cards which were 3 she asked if I needed a receipt I said yes she told me to step aside so that she could help the other guest behind me I hadnt even explained to her about the key cards she just assumed that there were only 2 rooms I guess I had left the card holder at the hospital and only had the room key by itself I told her that I was checking out from 3 rooms and she said well you didnt tell me there were 3 rooms her tone was an elevated voice, I said well you told me to step aside before i could even tell you and she kept saying things I was letting her speak i am not that kind of person she kept justifying how she had treated me I guess I told her hey I am not being rude to you she said me either I was like ok i did ask for her name she said Kim in a rude way she slammed the receipt on the desk, and I walked away other than Kim being rude it was a very comfortable stay. I have worked in customer service and I have never treated someone with a tone of voice that I wouldnt like for myself. Firstly, we gotta boast on Camryn and the Comfort Suites. This establishment was very considerate and cooperative. They go above and beyond to meet or exceed your needs. Camryn, the front desk worker was very helpful and accommodating on the phone when I had a billing and cancelation issue. He was able to assist other parents cancelation on the phone. Say what you want about Comfort Suites but they are professional and friendly when it comes to superior customer service!

We have had the ugliest experience in this place. My husbands catalytic converter was stolen from the propertys parking lot. We went to ask for the videos/info to give them to the insurance and the person in charge there said that she couldnt because her boss was not in the country. How is it possible that they do not collaborate with information when a theft has occurred on their property. My advice is DO NOT STAY in this place because if something happens to your vehicle they will not provide/do anything to help.STAY AWAY FROM HERE! I have never encountered such negligence and disregard for guest satisfaction. This experience has left me deeply dissatisfied and I would caution others against staying at this establishment.

This is a pretty good place to stay; however, it is NOT a 3.5 star hotel. Don t book here thinking that you re getting a better hotel for the same price as surrounding hotels. There was one lady, whose name I can t recall, who was extremely courteous and cooperative. She was there to check me in at around 3:30pm on 01/10 and was also there at checkout the following day. Black lady with long wavy hair. Everyone else who I encountered acted as if they were forced to be there. A guy who took over after her and the older lady who was there late won t even look up to speak or ask if you needed help unless you damn near leaned over the counter and demanded their attention. It s a last for me Noteworthy details: This value would be better if this were actually a 3.5 star hotel as advertised. Also, this must be where the weed heads come to hangout. There was a heavy smell of cannabis throughout the hotel. Not very kid friendly in my opinion.

By far, the worst hotel we have ever stayed at. When we arrived there was the smell of cannabis. The front staff didn t seem too happy to be there. After getting to our first room we noticed stains on the sofa and what seemed to be pubic hair on the sheets. Brought it to the front desk attention and we were switch to a different room, it was even worse! Dried vomit by the mirror, what seemed to be greasy hand print on the headboard and more hair on the bed. We immediately left and went to different hotel. Asked for at least a partial refund but apparently this is a call only the manager can make. Called numerous times over a two month period and the manager seem to never be there. DO NOT STAY HERE! Poorly managed, poorly cleaned and staff seems to not care either. Still waiting to at least get a call from management.

I recently had a very disappointing experience at Comfort Suites. Firstly, upon checking out, I accidentally left some of my clothes in the room. When I called the hotel to inquire about retrieving them, I was initially told that they were found and being kept in the lost and found. However, when I sent a friend to pick them up, they were informed that the items had mysteriously disappeared from the lost and found. This lack of accountability and security regarding guests belongings is completely unacceptable. Furthermore, the cleanliness of the room was subpar. The towels provided had hair on them, indicating that they were not properly washed or replaced between guests. Additionally, the shower emitted a persistent foul odor reminiscent of sewers, making for an unpleasant and uncomfortable bathing experience. As someone who has traveled extensively, I have never encountered such negligence and disregard for guest satisfaction. This experience has left me deeply dissatisfied and I would caution others against staying at this establishment

We only stayed here because I had Back surgery at the VA right down the road. 10 mins after checking in we had to evacuate because someone decided to smoke weed on the second floor. The lady that works on days was rude every time we talked to her as if we were an inconvenience for her. The clean towels had pubic hair on them. The floor in the room was never vacuumed before we checked in. The A/C didnt work at all but was later fixed. The bathroom faucet was broken and would come off in your hand and would only allow hot water. The coffee maker didnt even work and started smoking because it started to catch the coffee bag on fire. Dont waste your money. I will be seeking a refund.

Nice franchise hotel. Very clean. Breakfast was good. Probably can be noisy when full. Rooms: Nice rooms. The couch makes another bed and works ok. Safety: A little bit isolated. We made sure to be aware of our circumstances when outside the hotel in the parking area. Food and drinks: Breakfast had waffles, biscuits and gravy, eggs and bacon and cereal plus milk. Not bad for a franchise. We are once at the hotel and once at the nearby Waffle house. The waffle house was much better, but also not a cheap alternative. Noteworthy details: Close to AT&T stadium. Easy to get there and return. It is also close to restaurants in Duncanville.

Especially the lady that worked Saturday 10-7 all day and was there Sunday 10/8 was extremely rude! I had to kill her with KINDNESS in order to survive both days there at that hotel! Funny how customers have to be friendly and not the other way around! I will never be back to this hotel, and I plan to call and speak with corporate office as well! None of their hand sanitizer stations had any sanitizer and I reserved two rooms and only got one because they gave it away to someone who got there before me and I had already confirmed 3 times I was good to be there!

Wasnt happy at all about the front desk clerk literally making us wait until 3 to check in. Like she couldnt let us in 45 mins early. Then I really didnt get it since the sheets on one bed was dirty but the other bed was fine. Yall clearly had time to make sure the room was clean. No sheets on the pull out. I also thought since it was a suite it had a fully stocked kitchen but nope. Other than that it was really nice. The pool is small no deeper than 4ft6in but it was sparkling clean so I wont complain. They fitness room was real nice. The hotel itself was clean and smelled amazing but baby that steaming hot water in the tub, decent sized TV, the coffee machine, and that amazing breakfast had me sold lol overall it was nice. I saw kids (I also brought my own) but I didnt hear them running around and down the halls.

Great location with nearby shopping and restaurants. Room was clean and updated. Room phone didn t work and a few outlets didn t work properly. Breakfast was good and dining area was clean. Hotel was clean overall. A few questionable things happened but nothing too major that I had to be bothered with. Front desk staff was rude and moody or really nice and helpful, it depended on the day and who was working. Krystal, the front desk worker was very helpful and accommodating when I had a billing issue and room issue. She was able to help other guests check in while helping me when customer service was on the phone. Was there for a week. Beware not to leave anything because they will say no one turned items in. Firstly, we gotta shout out to Kim, Krystal, and the Comfort Suites staff for being professional, patient, and kind throughout our stay. Was here almost 3 weeks. The pool was almost always beautiful, with the occasional lapse from the night until mid-morning- if there was a partying happening the night before . Its uncovered, outside, and in high summer, partially shaded by the building through the day! Great sun!!! The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Housekeeping is on point and typically holds a stringent schedule- which is something I appreciate. They have a free breakfast that is petty good. Typical, eggs, protein, waffles, yogurt, juice, coffee, cereal, bagels and the like. The common area near the lobby is comfy. The gym is basic and hits all the important stuff, I suppose. There is 1 elevator and 4 floors. The stairways are frequented, so plan for that, sometimes People prop the pool door open so its worn, and the card key is challenging, TIP: push in the bottom of the frame on the doorknob side- there isnt an anchor holding it to the floor so its loose and kicks the door out of whack. The location is great. Right off 35E, 15m south of Dallas metro. Theres a district where they have everything a long walk or short drive away. Theres no public transportation this far south of the city, so plan for that. Overall, happy service, good food, great rooms, and a solid location. All photos are within the area of the hotel! Rooms: Rooms are spacious. Bathrooms have great water pressure!!! Walkability: Im on foot most of the time and its important to either head out around dawn or dusk if you plan on summertime walking. Its roughly 2 miles south to great shopping. North is full of distribution centers and industry for miles. There is a cool footbridge going to the cracker-barrel parking lot that cuts by the Days Inn across from CSuites. There are geocaches in the vicinity.

Made a reservation for my actress and she had an emergency happen and didnt make it until today. We called the reservation got cancelled (over $700) The young lady working the desk literally said thanks for the free money . Noone was willing to help me. I didnt even want my money back I just wanted to get my actress checked in after her long road trip. The customer service was so disrespectful. Im definitely going up there.

Your room attendants/maids are not supposed to mess with patrons personal items when cleaning occupied rooms. In the case of my sister Michelle Rigdon, they were not supposed to even be in her room for anything. Someone discarded/ stole her dentures and have not apologized or done anything to remedy her trauma of not having her dentures, and it has affected and impacted her quality of life! The unresponsiveness of the company is unacceptable and needs attention. I know I will never patronize business at a company like this EVER Again!! Honestly, not impressed AT ALL. First day, no cart to take all the gear to room, had to make 3 trips. Elevator so slow? Youd think there were 10 floors. Then, the front desk guy first night apparently only keyed all of my teams room keys for 1 night, even though we are here for 21. So, after a long hard day, sweaty.....had to go back downstairs to reset. ALLOT of kids here, and they hang out in the hallways till lime 1030. Then, the chamber maids will come into your room, will put like a roll of toilet paper in your room, but wont put more shampoo and conditioner, and wont make bed. Then, lastly, today.....the cable has been out since we got home(430 pm) I called at 6, front desk said, itll be back on in 2 hours. Now its 9 pm still no TV. Rediculous!! Stay at the ihg across the street.

Checked in with no problems. Staff I interacted with was curtious. Breakfast was ok. Every day was biscuits and sausage gravy, biscuits, eggs, sausage, different breads, waffels, and fruit. To drink, coffee, and watered down orange and apple juice from the machine. I stayed an extra day due to the weather affecting work. I was charged twice for the third day by mistake and staff had no problem fixing the issue at checkout the next morning. The weather did not directly affect the hotel, but for those of us having to work anyway, the parking lot went untreated. I will return.

We stayed two nights for work reasons, and I picked up some chemises and left and I forgot them. I came back to ask and the cleaning lady told me that she herself Seeing them went to my car but I had already left, when I returned she told me that she herself had left them in the reception area or in a lost and found area, but when they went to look for her they were not there, they told me that they were gone to check the cameras but like magic they never notified me of what happened and I called and the manager Andy Desai indicated that they left nothing there and I wonder is this man an accomplice or an intellectual actor? Why dont they show the cameras if they hadnt left them there?

The sheets in my room were filthy. Stains all across the comforter when I pulled it back to lay down. It s no way they had been washed, seems as if housekeeping just made the bed after a previous guest. Told management and they could only offer me 10% off my next stay. I frequent Desoto often, but this was my first stay at this property. I was pleasantly surprised. The manager on duty was professional, kind and very accommodating. She raised my view of Comfort properties. Lobby and room clean and fresh. They also have the hotel store with drinks and other items,, but it desperately needs to be replenished. I will definitely use this property in the future. Update: This property has been open for a while now and the high standards remain. My only issue is th shower water pressure and temperature, but I understand heat must be limited due to liability.

For the most part it was a nice room. Plenty of towels and other than two spots on the rug that someone had spilled something sticky and needed to be steam cleaned the rest of the room was clean (room 303). The Breakfast was good. Biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs and sausage links. Waffles, pastries, beagles and cream cheese, cereal or yogurt. Orange juice, apple juice or coffee. Price was decent and the have a pool although I didnt use it. Water pressure in shower is adequate but not strong.

Room was a 3.5 was clean but little details inside like not very well swept or the bathroom had some corners that needed a little look at. Didnt take pics but it was a place to stay for the night. I wish I could give this place a negative star. The staff is extremely rude, the pool was disgusting and unkept, the breakfast although free tasted like melted plastic. The rooms were unkept and our water went out for an entire day with no explanation. At the end of our trip the group we were with (same amount of days at the hotel) had different costs for our receipts. Ranging from $100-600 differences! Again no explanation for why this happened The manager gave us a number to call and sent us on our way. Please do yourself a favor and stay at the Hilton across the street.

I stayed at this location weeks ago, but I have been too busy in my travels to have left a review sooner. My stay at this Desoto Comfort Suites was good. The breakfast was okay with a decent variety. I was a really late check in, but I was very pleased with the front desk check in person. Joe was a really nice person to greet me with a pleasant and warm welcome. Check in was no problem. He has outstanding customer service !! His sense of humor was refreshing considering it was late at night. His professionalism extended into the early morning when myself and other guests came down for breakfast. Unfortunately, when checking out later that day, the front desk service was disappointing. It was a female. I believe her name was Vett. She seemed disengaged and unprofessional. This is not good for guests to experience in the morning or anytime of the day. We spend our money for comfort and great service all throughout the stay. Ive stayed at many Comfort Suites and Choice hotels, but this location may make me reconsider because the service was inconsistent. Joe really made the difference, and I can really appreciate a positive attitude from professionals. Please do better and talk with your morning and evening front desk staff. I shouldnt have to go to certain locations for Choice hotels to receive excellent customer service .

There is no place to park a truck and trailer. They left a letter on my truck saying they would tow my truck. However there is no signs saying limited parking for trucks and trailers and that they will be towed. I will make sure that in the future my company does not book us here.

The shower trickles.. if you put it on massage the water dosent even hit the back wall. About the only complaint. My coworker said he complained to the front desk and they changed his room. Stayed here because the location was great and the price was good. Friendly staff, but the room was not cleaned very well. Found hair in the bath tub, drain had some rust spots, caulking around tub was missing in spots, pulled back the blankets to find wads of hair, couch was dirty with flakes of who knows what and white spots, as well as the foot stools had dirt on them. Took the courtesy myself of cleaning things, but called the front to let them know. They asked if I wanted new sheets and that I could go down to the front desk and pick them up to change them myself. I did not understand why housekeeping couldnt do it or they didnt offer to change my room to a cleaner one. They called me twice prior to arrival to make sure i was going to check in, but they cant give me a clean room or change my sheets. So, there I was super pregnant changing the linens to my hotel bed at 10 oclock at night when all I wanted to do was rest. Very disappointed with this hotel and would not recommend to anyone.
