Really disappointing tacos. Chips were good and guac was pretty good. Tacos were below average. If youve had any sort of authentic tacos then skip this place. Found this place completely on a whim during a night out in Denton. We had originally gone to another restaurant because it said on their website that they were open until 2 AM but when we got there, they had posted on their door that their hours had changed. We were going to give up and settle for the typical Taco Bell or Jack-in-the-Box option most people go for, but happened across this location instead. Literally the best discovery we ve had in a while! Because of the time in which we arrived to the restaurant, we weren t sure what to expect as far as the freshness or quality of the food, but to say we were pleasantly surprised is an understatement. I personally got the chicken street tacos (garnished with cilantro and onion) which came with rice and beans, and The chicken was seasoned immaculately and it was so moist. The rice wasn t dried out, and the beans were not the typical refried beans, they were real authentic Mexican style beans ( With jalapeños mixed in and all). They also have a salsa bar where any type of salsa in any spice level you could want is out there as well as extra garnishes. 10/10 Will absolutely be back to this location to enjoy other dishes that I m sure will be just as good!

El Taco H is located on a busy street with plenty of free street parking. You might have to look for a spot or you might get lucky and find one right away.

The service could have been better yesterday evening. The girl taking our order must have been having a bad day or something... just no connection. Super friendly service, delicious tacos, and amazing agua frescas! I ordered the Birria taco plate and a strawberry agua Fresca to go and the food came out in less than ten minutes. The agua Fresca was definitely fresh, fruity, and creamy! The tacos were still hot and crunchy even after my 15 minute drive home. If I m ever back in the area I will be returning to el taco h!

I asked for my tortillas to be separate from the meat because I like building them myself and they put everything in a separate container so I could build it myself. I m more used to Jalisco Style food but I have to admit El TacoH style is also good. I really like the environment of this place, but sitting outdoor could be too hot during summer; more trees are needed in the patio to fully enjoy it. There are some things I love about this place. One is the salsa bar, something you hardly find at taquerias nowadays. The other one is the aguas frescas which are made from fresh ingredients. Last one is their fair prices!

Walked passed this place a few times. Buddy said we need to go there. He had already been there 10 times in 2 weeks. ordered 2 pastor tacos, some elota, and washed it down with some horchata. When babygirl said the food was good, that was an understatement! The taco plate with carne asada, barbacoa tacos and double cilantro lime rice were seasoned and cooked to perfection. The burst of flavors with every bite was better than good. It was amazingly satisfying. Food, pineapple aqua fresca, atmosphere, patio and exceptional service made for a wonderful dining experience on-the-go. Oops, someone forgot to pack the flatware and napkins. The food here was amazing and it all came out to a reasonable price, although the servers didnt really seem too in touch with what was going on in their surroundings; however they did act quickly to please customers. The decor and atmosphere wasnt what I was expecting, but it gave an authentic feel! The only compliant I have in regards to it would be that there were flies everywhere I looked. Despite all of this, I heavily recommend this restaurant if youre looking for a quick meal to enjoy.

Delicious as usual! Ate at the restaurant before the Luchador match they were hosting. Got Al Pastor, Barbacoa, and Carnitas. All delicious. The barbacoa was less greasy this time. Rice and beans are the absolute best Ive ever had. Margaritas were perfect. Service was also fast as usual. The bartenders were great; we came back over for a drink after the match and my friend requested a creative drink inspired by the luchador mask he bought at the match. It was yummy! They were all super nice. Always a great vibe here. Love the brick walls and decor. The music is always fantastic. Feels like Im back in Mexico! Older review from 4/20/24: Another place I frequent. This most recent visit wasnt as satisfying as normal, but Ill still return! The decor is fantastic; I love the distressed brick walls and the luchador masks hanging behind the back bar. The main space is very open and the back patio has plenty of seating. Theres also corn hole out there if thats your thing! The drinks and food are yummy and the service is always quick. Their dog friendly, which is always a plus for me. I always get a frozen margarita that isnt too sweet or tart with just the right amount of tequila. I typically get the taco plate and always forget which ones I choose. This time I got one sudadero and two barbacoa. I wasnt a fan of the sudadero; the meat was dry and had no flavor. The barbacoa had great flavor, but they were very greasy. The elote cup is a favorite of mine; make sure you mix it all before trying for maximum taste efficiency! El Taco H definitely has the Best rice and beans Ive ever had, probably because its not JUST beans (also ham or bacon in there).

Tried four tacos, pastor, asada, barbacoa and Suaderos. The carne asada was hands down my favorite taco, tons of flavor. Followed by the barbacoa. The barbacoa was different since it is smoked but was pretty good. I did eat it last and glad I did, otherwise the smoke would ve covered the other tacos up a ton. The pastor was decent but nothing to write home about and the suaderos was flavorless. I did have to add salt to all my tacos and usually never have to add salt to food at restaurants. The food also came out cold unfortunately. The least enjoyable part was my corn tortillas were soaked in oil. The salsa bar they have is really cool and the salsa was delicious. After paying 25 for 5 tacos and Jamaica I did feel it wasn t worth the money. I probably wouldn t return but that s just my opinion. It s worth checking them out ounce, especially if you love carne asada and a variety of salsa! The staff was amazing as well, super kind and helpful. This place has a ton of potential. Execution in the kitchen was lacking on my visit but it could ve been the day.

My husband and I went to have lunch there on Sunday and it wasnt overly busy or anything. We had never been there so we had no idea what to expect. We ordered at the front and they said to sit down wherever and place the device on the table which we did as instructed. We only got the birrari tacos and two AL pastor tacos. Nothing else. We sat at the table for over half an hour until they found us and gave us our food. Apparently they couldnt find us at our table and by the time they did our food was cold and they had to remake it. They didnt offer us a refund or anything extra to make up for the very long wait. And they didnt say what was happening, they just brought out the food and I had to ask why it took so long. And thats when they told me they couldnt find us and they had to remake the food. The food was okay which is why the 3 stars. They have you pay and tip prior to sitting. If Id known this was the level of service provided I wouldnt has tipped as much as did. This place is better to place Togo not to sit and eat. They dont check on you after you pay. Its a glorified fast food level service since they just drop off your food and leave.

This is one of my new favorite restaurants in Denton! Very high quality food. I ordered the Sunday brunch Chilaquiles and it was delicious. The Al pastor, elote, rice, and chips and salsa were also good. Everything was very flavorful and spicy and fresh. The staff were kind, friendly, and attentive too. Highly recommend trying it! Kid-friendliness: Lots of high chairs Wheelchair accessibility: There s a ramp outside and inside and it s very spacious inside.

I just ate in a Mexico City restaurant but in TX ! More specifically the great city of Denton, seriously I was in shock when I got the first bite of my chilaquiles oh yeah, not your typical Tex-Mex breakfast plate (of course not) the taste of the food is just amazing! Believe me I m Mexican I know about this food, the flavors and aromas of the dish just perfect also they have great aguas frescas, this is not a Tex-Mex restaurant (thankful for that) great tacos of course and the salsa bar great looking set up. Been there a couple of times and great brunch selection I had the huevos rancheros oh my goodness just perfect! By the way I m from Houston I wish we had one here !

After 11 PM on a Friday, the options were actually very small in the Downtown Square. Luckily, this restaurant was open and we were very thankful! We ordered a birria taco plate, a carne asada quesadilla, a ranch water, and house margarita. The total came out to almost $50, which was expected. However, once the food arrived we were pretty disappointed. The quesadillas are the size of a singular taco, and the tacos were even a bit smaller. With how much we paid, we felt as if we did not get our money worth. The food was juicy and tasty, we were just very let down by the food to price ratio.

Go and sit and youll usually have a good experience, except when we go for lunch with a party of 8-10, they often forget at least one of the orders. Thats forgivable. But dont order catering for pick-up. They will not have it ready on time. They will not apologize. They will argue with you about how a pick-up time is the time they start it in the kitchen, so if you tell them you want 11:45, it will be ready by noon. Then they will tell you that a pick-up time was never confirmed, even though you have an email (from them!) to the contrary. They will not call at 9am, as we had been told, to collect payment. They will not acknowledge a voicemail or the fact that our receptionist confirmed a slightly earlier time and pick-up person (basically calling her a liar). They will then lie to your face when you go back at their new designated pick-up time that it was actually done at 11:45, even though youd walked out of their doors at 11:43 as they were unapologetically telling you to come back in 10-15 minutes. What an absolutely exhausting experience! We give this company a ton of business and now, those of us involved in this situation are seriously rethinking spending any money there. Their events manager is young and needs serious training on how to own a mistake rather than doubling-down.

The food is Authentic Mexican. (Not Tex-Mex). Barria Tacos were really good and The variety taco platter was really good. Chrri beans were really good. Cilantro lime rice was good as well. There is. Salsa bar with variety of salsa, onions, pico de Gallo, limes, and fresh serrano peppers. Did not like the Tlquache Sangria drink. Seasoned chips and house salsa was good as well.

Very pleasantly surprised at how fantastically delicious the birria taco plate is. They weren t too greasy or too cheesy, it was a perfect combination. The cashier suggested I mix the limon pepino with the mango passion fruit agua frescas and she right! It was so good! The manager stopped by and asked about our experience. Everyone there was so pleasant and friendly. They have a great salsa bar and a beautiful outdoor patio! Good service and good food aren t the norm these days but that s not the case at El Taco H. Can t wait to bring friends and family here!
