There s a few people there who seem to be bothered by the fact that they are employed at this establishment. They close at 3 yet are done by 2:30 which is crazy. It made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. Otherwise the food was alright. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk. Period

Amongst the food being great and being open late at night, I had the craziest experience that assured me of their exceptional customer service. I lost my wallet at this establishment way back in April 2024 and from then until now Ive moved from Dallas and bought a new wallet. Jordan reached out to me on Facebook saying that my wallet was returned and that she would ship it to me free of charge, in which she did with no hesitation! This was an incredible act of selflessness that honestly made my week as I had owned the wallet for 5 years up until that point, but yeah. Go to Fat Shack in Denton. Great people work there and maybe you can be like me and have too much fun eating a sandwich there at 2am.

UPDATE: This restaurant has updated some of their weaker menu items to be far more enjoyable (such as the mozzarella sticks), added new sauces, etc. And they have quickly become one of my go-tos in terms of crowd pleasing. However, theyre also shrinking the size of whats being delivered, upping prices, etc. So Id still sit at 4 stars. Ive had some weak menu items from Fat Shack (EX: certain sides, like mozzarella sticks), but mostly they deliver a unique and flavorful experience. Newcomers should know that their basic burger (though a little on the small side) has a distinctly pleasant flavor; making it an easy go-to. If youre ordering fries, definitely get cheese on them. And know that their shakes (as well as their deep fried desserts) are the real deal. I keep meaning to try their sandwiches, but the basics hit home enough for me to recommend the place based on my limited experience.

This is by far the BEST burger in Denton! Freshly ground meat was definitely a plus! Seasoned just enough. Just the right amount of meat, to veggies, to bread ratio. The fries are good and crispy. They have a light coating on them.

Probably the worst Philly I have had. I have tried this place a few times since I am right down the street. The burgers are whatever, sandwiches sound awesome but the fries dry it out so it is like eating saw dust, now the Philly had 0 taste, well, the American cheese was the only flavor I could taste. Spent $25 on a Philly meal. Think this was my last visit, tried to support local, but fell extremely short.

Sorry but food is bland no flavor and Ive gave them chances ordered here more then once food creations are awesome but when you get your food no flavor. For example the bronco sandwich is chicken tenders cheese sticks etc marinara sauce so you would think you bite into that you would have tons of flavor but no I dont even think they season there food. Just a little hole on the wall late at night around 12pm. We probably changed our order bout 3 times yet the cashier was still happy and smiling. We could hear them talking and having a blast at work. Very happy people for that time of the night. Our food was great. Cheeseburger, onion rings, fried pickles, mozzarella sticks, all the food was delicious.

Ok food at a very high price. For a $5 side of onion rings, you get 7-8 rings. The burger was fine, but it was also $8. The deep fried Twinkie was diabetes inducing, but I cant fault them for that.

The vibe in the store is uniquely welcoming and has a great vibe with great staff. The food is well prepered and have a fresh source of ingredients. First time here. Definitely will bring the family back. I got a two and three patty burger to go with a large and medium fry and a root beer. I added grilled onions and bacon to both and jalapeño to one. Definitely recommend adding the jalapeño. This was a high-quality burger. The fries are cooked in a oil that taste good. I placed an order today 07/16. There were only two employees working and it was busy. I had to wait 50 min just to get my order and o top of that the employees were very annoyed and were talking to customers very rudely. This one guy with curly hair was being extremely rude to this another customer because he just simply did not wanted to help her. Me and the wife have wanted to try fat shack since we saw it on shark tank. We recently moved to Denton and are finally able to try it. The friendly staff has been working without A/C for 2 weeks, yet is still open to customers. We had the Fat Cow and Fat Bronco with Fried oreos for dessert. All 3 were incredible and everything was made to order, no soggy fried stuff that had been sitting under a heat lamp, all fresh. We will now become regulars at the Fat shack in Denton.

This place has some of the best fattening food Ive ever eaten in my whole life got a burger combo meal and a munchies madness platter. I would have taken a picture but we are it all before I could remember but maybe next time. 1st time eating here. Everything was great. Pops, the store manager provided excellent customer service. He even came out go check on us a few times to make sure our food was good. I order a hamburger and fries and it was delicious. My wife ordered a Fat Cow sandwich(bacon,fries,mac & cheese and a toasted bun). She ordered the little sandwich and she couldnt finish the other half of the sandwich because it was so big. Wonder what the large sandwich would look like. Pops even brought my family and another couple aomendeied oreos which my life loved. I didnt try them because I like my oreos just the way they are when they leave the cookie factory. Its a must that I try the wings. Pops told me to come on Sundays when theyre half off. If I would change anything about this restaurant, I would either put a cover over the couch or just replace it with another one. That couch wouldnt stop me from giving them 5-stars because the food and service was on point. Fat Shack, I will surely see you guys soon. Thanks, Ty

It s ok. It presents well, but the taste is nothing special. Way WAY over priced (burger, rings, small drink ~$18), meaning a family of 3 is going to eat for nearly $60. And small. 6 onion rings, $5. The burger was a double patty cheese burger for $10 that was maybe 4 inches in diameter. While I was there, the kitchen radio was as loud in the sitting area as the piped in music. So you had indie alternative mixing with urban pop music and it just made for a cacophony instead of ambience. I ve given up on staff at places exhibiting an joy of working somewhere. It is sorely missed, but understandable in these modern times under antiquated work models. The ketchup was cheap. A heavy corn syrup concoction that detracted from the food. The onion rings might be forgiven if there was the thick onion cut inside. Way too clean to be made on site, so the cost seems insane. The word rip off comes to mind. I have no reason to return.

Showed up at approximately 12:50 AM 3-12-2022 to pick up a customers order to deliver. I waited with a DD bag on my right arm. The guy ignored me the whole time. Eventually, he started just skipping around me and giving other people coming in their orders. I tried to be respectful by waiting at the pickup counter. But to keep passing by me while Im standing there with a DD bag is ridiculous. Do I need to paint myself red or do I have superpowers and he could not see me at the front of the line? Place is legit but you have to know what you are walking into and what to order. The sandwiches are what make this place amazing and what put it on the map. Everything else is average, some good, some bad. Order a SANDWICH! Skip the burgers, skip the phillys(this is Texas, theyre not good, lets be real). I would skip it all and just grab a Fat Cow or a Fat Doobie. Absolutely amazing food that is so terribly bad for your gut, but so worth it. Also, not a 5 star sit down service type of a place. Theyre not running a tight ship here, thats for sure. So, just make sure you expect a bit more of a laid back environment. Service typically isnt great but thats not why I come here. TL;DR order a Fat Cow.

I gave this place 5 Starz because the customer service was awesome! We went in today because someone suggested we try to wings. We moved from Memphis, TN and have yet to find a Wing place that compares. The young man working today was pleasant and actually seemed happy to be at work. He was very helpful and friendly. The fried ones and fried cheese cake was AMAZING! The wings were good too. But the service was EXCELLENT! The service alone makes me want to return.

I ordered a Takeout dish of the wings and a burger. Both were sub par and generally my experience was poor. They also overcharged me even after I asked them to confirm the wings were half off. I called to explain the issue and the person on the phone wasn t pleasant although he did concede overcharging me which is something. Overall I had poor food and even worse service.

This place is awesome! I ordered a cheeseburger and it was one of the best Ive had in town. The fries and tots were great as well. The cheesecake bites are definitely a highlight and you cant go wrong with the fried oreos

THIRD visit-I gave this place a 2nd and a 3rd chance - oh my - This restaurant serves food with extremely poor quality and charges top dollar for it. The fried mozzarella sticks were terrible-the texture was gritty and they weren t served hot. The cheese wasn t flavorful at all. Flat bland friend cheap drunk food! The large Philly cheesesteak was 14.50 and not worth that amount at all. There was way too much bread and not enough meat cheese or onions! The single burger was about a 6 out of a 10-not worth 6.75 with no side dish included, the soda machine had two sodas that were out of order and the Dr Pepper was flat and needed a change of syrup. There was not any iced tea available and the milkshake machine was out of order yet again. The cheesecake bites were way too doughy and didn t contain enough filling. The powdered sugar was good, but they charged extra for a small side of chocolate syrup. This wasn t even worth half of what we paid which was 48 dollars. We will not ever return or recommend this restaurant to anyone. Staff was friendly but that was it:(

If youre going to demand that patrons wear masks, make sure the employees be the example and wear theirs correctly! I have no qualms with wearing a mask, but I do take issue when the employees are turning me away for not having one on and one of them has his nose exposed. What the hell is the point?

If you have an allergy of any kind I would not recommend this place. You can ask for no tomatoes as many times as you want. They will still be there. I have called the store multiple times trying to fix my order and no one ever answers. On top of that you have to wait 40 minutes for one burger then another 35 for you money back. They need better management and employees.

If youre wondering if itll be better this time, it wont. Jus really nasty food and the worst vanilla milkshake Ive had. Ate 70% of the sandwich but the shake could only go 1 sip swallowed one sip spit out. The shake had the taste and consistency of an over blended oyster

Some of our friends have told us we should try the fat shack. So we went we got hot wings and they were slimy we got a hamburger and onion rings which was so greasy and we got a Philly cheese steak sandwich that was not very good at all so we will not be returning to the fat shack service and food are not very good.
