The trainers here laugh at you for making a mistake. They should laugh at themselves for not properly teaching the routine.

Would give 0 stars. Patron threw bar out of my hands in roid rage and the policy was to allow that person to stay. Ridiculously unsafe environment, also the manager Alicia is frankly rude and dismissive. I would get fired for talking to a client the way she does to me. Not a safe gym, the enable abusive behavior, no wonder its so cheap.

I teach pottery workshops here. While getting started was a longer process the helpful staff guided me the entire way. The facilities are nice and clean. It s nice and quiet for wonder of creating pottery. Update 4/18/2024: There is so much to do here. They have a kids area, they watch your kids while you get fit! Win-win-win I m still doing pottery workshops here, the staff is nice and helpful.

This place makes me cry just having so much memories about how I used to play tennis here before I moved away. The tennis coaches were awesome, helpful, and competitive, however one thing they lack to teach is for people to play practice matches, but I wont take away a star because the tennis here was awesome and I had so much fun playing tennis here!

A nice building with a cardio room and elliptical treadmills. There is also a gym with many workout items for adults. It has a big basketball court with soccer held every Saturday. There are also rooms ,that you can schedule for a party .Last of all there is a tennis court a few feet away . There are clean restrooms ,water fountains ,and a vending machine .In the basketball court there is some yoga and weight equipment. The scheduling representative (young women) at the front desk is very rude to everyone. Beaware !

Has an okay selection of equipment, but several things need to be updated or taken care of. For the price, its decent. Its annoying that the cardio and weight rooms are entirely separate. It also only has one shower in the womens locker room, so hopefully theres no one else in there if you need to use it.

I love this place because its super close by. I really love the park across the street. At first when you see the building you think its a clubhouse or a restroom facility and information resource. However, I received a catalog because I had gone to get information on the Martin Luther King Center Rec. I was familiar with it because I lived in Denton many, many years ago. I noticed that in the catalog they mentioned North Lakes Rec. I wondered where that was. I recognized the area but I thought could there be a gym in that tiny building. Well its an optical illusion. I saw all of the tennis courts and across the street is a gorgeous park where one can take nature walks. I do that often. Especially in the winter, fall, and spring because its not so hot and not so many bugs. I dont think anyone can get used to these BIG bugs. In Southern California, one could walk all the time in the parks and only have to worry about the bugs that follow ducks. In the bigger parts well one had to worry about Mountain Lions and Snakes. But I usually avoided those types of parks. However, North Lakes Rec is very good. I like the simplicity of the fee. You can decide to pay as you go. So If you are out of town and youre not going for one month you can skip a month and pick it up when you go back. They dont hastle you. They dont put it on your credit. There is no credit check. They have a very clean gym. Its small. It cost $20 a month but not sure if they have gone up on new accounts. There was NO deposit or start up fee. There are usually a lot of State workers, City Workers, and people who live walking distance. I truly am enjoying my community. I love North Lakes Rec. I often see some of my co-workers there and other people I recognize from the community. This gym offers my favorite dance classes ZUMBA!! So if you like ZUMBA check out the schedule. You can also walk in the park across the street. This gym is clean, restroom is clean, and the whole place is nice. Its what I call a hidden treasure. They have one room with all of the cardio machines. The second big room has a lot of free weights and mechanical weight lifting machines that require your efforts. The third big room has basketball, yet its often converted to Zumba class and Martial arts classes its still awesome. Next door outside is the Tennis Courts but for tennis you have to sign up outside at the little center out there as its separate. I hope this helps. 5 STARS!

I grew up going here. The park today definitely has a lot more to it than when I was a kid(talking 80s here, lol). The playgrounds are perfect for little ones to big kids. Theres baseball fields and soccer feilds all around, so the weekends and evenings are packed during peak seasons. The trails are nice and easy going. Not very long, maybe 3 miles? Totally guessing. If you want to go further with a walk/jog the neighborhoods around the park are nice for that. There is a rec center across Windsor St. from the park, a golf tee off practice and an 18-hole disc golf course that is accessed from Bonnie Brae St. There are stocked fishing ponds on both park and disc golf sides. PLEASE DO NOT FEED DUCKS AND GEESE BREAD!!!! Research it for yourself. Bread is VERY BAD for the overall health of the creatures and the pond itself. Denton should have signs posted but have not jumped on a much needed bandwagon. There are trash and recycling cans placed throughout the more populated areas. Please use them!! There is also a few doggy poop bag dispensers, so please pick up after your pooch! Overall a very nice park. A small downside is that some of the trail and cemented walking/jogging paths puddle up when there has been heavy rain. There are public restrooms that are usually pretty clean and stocked. There is no changing table, at least not in the one closest to the main playgrounds.
