I love Alamo with all my heart. I ve been going almost every week for the past year and a half until they shut down. And then when they re-opened I was ecstatic. I ve still been going but I will say so far I ve had a couple bad experiences. Last week I saw the Substance (great movie) but the service was not good. I ordered a milkshake with the server and witnessed them giving it to the wrong table, but I kept waiting and waiting for about 35 minutes and at that point I wrote on the order card I didn t receive it and now I don t want it anymore. They didn t even say sorry or anything. Today, I was going to see another movie but unfortunately I was running a little late due to traffic. Showed up about 12 minutes late, (the previews are still going) and they refused to let me in after being a loyal customer. I ve been there so many times and have seen people show up late all the time, so I was confused as to why they wouldn t let 2 people in when they let other people in late. I have the season pass and try to support Alamo, but after this looks like I m going to have to take a break. Really heartbroken about this but it is what it is.

Hands down the best place in the area to see a movie. It s not even a competition. So glad they re back from the brief hiatus. Staff is always super friendly, chairs are comfortable, picture and sound quality are great, food is solid.

Depending on the day, they have a decent selection of movies. The staff were super accommodating overall. Just plan to arrive before the showtime and expect to pay premium prices on food (prices are comparable to Movie Tavern).

I see after being resurrected by corporate that this location has managed to become even worse than it was before the previous franchise bankruptcy. We had the worst service and food imaginable. Half our party got food immediately while the other half did not receive food until almost 45 minutes into the movie (Beetlejuice). Our servers were nowhere to be found and we had to fill out an order card just to get 2 squares of napkins as none had been given with our order. We finally received these desperately needed napkins after we had finished the food and the movie was coming to a close. The food itself was downright scary. The mozzarella sticks were a putrid combination of sour and bitter as if someone had dumped an entire bottle of garlic salt on some week old cheese. The hellfire burger was more like a dumpster fire burger. An itty bitty patty burnt to a crisp with the smallest bit of blue cheese topped off with a squished old bun. The other ingredients for the burger were nowhere to be found. Dont expect to get 99% of the beer offerings listed on the menu. They stopped carrying them but theyll sure let you believe you can order em. The theater itself was absolutely disgusting with food bits and paper everywhere. It looked like it had been invaded by a group of preschoolers. To top off the disgusting theater and terrible service/food we were suggested to give even more than the minimum 18% tip on our bill. Will not be returning. Cinepolis knows how to run a theater and give customers a great experience...

Excellent! Just went here for the new Aliens movie in the Big screen showing. Seats are incredibly comfortable. The base coming through the seats was a great addition. The food was very tasty and holds up against any other restaurant. Ill say the cherry on top was the incredible staff. We had Olivia helping us and she was absolutely fantastic and friendly! We will absolutely be back.

Wife and I have been monthly customers for a few years now as we do enjoy the theater and experience. However, this last time we went we didnt want alcohol or food, just a movie. We were charged $8 a piece for two fountain diet cokes (in normal restaurant glass) that were never even refilled. After tip we spent $20 on .02 worth of coke syrup. Cinemark down the street has matinees for $8, and we can split a refillable coke for $8. $24 buys us tickets and a drink to share. Its $36 just for the tickets at Alamo. It costs more than 2x to go here instead of Cinemark which is perfectly fine and has the reclining seats. Im afraid our business relationship with Alamo is over, I appreciate a lot of what theyre trying to do but it needs to be considered that $60 to see a movie and have a single coke is just out of the question.

I love the service here. The table-to-seat height balance is a bit odd; I feel like Im eating at chin level. But the food is good and the experience is always laid back and fun. Alamo is the original, and I keep going back.

Your table setup is not convenient and easy to get in-to and out-of!! My set, I had to share the table w/ someone I didn t know. However. after the movie started, I moved over to share a table w/my sister. Also, the table didn t swivel so you couldn t get into your seat. Really odd table/seat set-up!! Food was not very good and the prices too high!! Will not be back!!

This theater has great decor, I loved all the old movie posters. The food is excessively high - even for a theater. My adult milkshake was a quarter of what a full-sized milkshake would be and it was $15. I got maybe 5 sips out of it. The popcorn is served in large metal bowls - very odd, with the option to refill. You have to write your order on a card and put it in a location that shows it is sticking up so staff can see it. Ours was up for quite a while before anyone saw it. If you have ever dined in a theater, you know the best service only comes when buttons are available to push for service. We went on a Saturday afternoon and the place was dead. It is not in a good location and a bit tricky to get to off the highway. Would not recommend and will not go back.

Overall, it is a great place to see movies. Obviously, you are paying premium prices for mid-tier food, but you know that going to a theater. Staff is usually friendly and customer oriented. It gets 4 stars due to maintenance. Several lights are out at the tables and bathrooms need better cleaning as there is green mold on urinals and toilets, which just need to be cleaned and bleached. All things that could be resolved by training staff to take pride in their work.

This is by far the best place to see a movie! I love how there is zero talking! You write a note for your servers and they take care of it! They are very quiet and stay low and are quick!!! The food is really good!! The best chicken fingers! I havent had a single thing I wouldnt recommend!

Ive been here several times and I have to bring ear plugs. I appreciate that you want to be able to hear (and in some case feel) the movie, but not at the cost of permanent hearing damage. I think everyone will still be able to hear (and feel) films just fine if you turn it down a few decibels. Probably not by 10dB, but more than 0dB. After realizing it wasnt just one movie that was mixed weird, Ill probably just see films elsewhere. Autistic individuals, the volume can be upsetting to the point that we cannot enjoy the film.

The worst movie experience of our life !!!! My son and I drove over 50 mins to get my daughter from Denton and because of traffic we show up 15 min late which was fine with us we know first 15-20 minutes is usually adds It blew my mind when the front desk told us w a blank face we can t enter due to policy . So our time together and the drive time was totally spoiled and disrespected in a way it has never been before in my lifetime of going to movies !!! They shd be ashamed of turning people away or have people sign a disclaimer about entry time of 10 min policy for late show before they spend their precious time and money and get disapoppointed like this !!!!!

Used to love Alamo, but lately I am spending over a hundred bucks and showing up 30 minutes early for glorified bar food. Never get a refill on a drink anymore, If we miss the server one time around, we dont see them again til we are way into the movie. The food is down to pretty basic choices. For vintage flicks Alamo is great, but its a waste for new movies when there are great restaurants and movie theaters nearby. Watch your movie undisturbed and eat real food or have real drinks that arent 20 bucks a pop before and or after imo.

I am a stickler for the rules and can absolutely appreciate adhering to policies. But my time is also very valuable to me and I purposefully show up 10 minutes late to movies to skip past some of the previews. My movie was at 8:40PM tonight, I showed up at 8:51PM and they refused to seat me saying they have a 12 minute late policy. In the time it took them to explain the late policy that I already knew about it passed the 12 minute mark, at which point, the clerk could then point at the clock and say I was too late. Poor service.

My family of 6 spends $1000/m here. Today middle mgr Jerick denied us our paid for seat to a 850p bc he said we showed up at 905p. Marketing spends $1ks to get families like ours to buy tickets & the middle mgr chases us away. I told him the logic of this was crazy & he got offended and aggressive & said leave or I ll call the police . Lol Mgmt here needs to talk to this guy. I know hiring good ppl is tough but these guys are running off their most loyal clients to competitors. Jerick is confrontational when he doesn t know what to do & escalated a basic situation to make him feel in control.

The worst experience I ve ever had!!! The lady at the front desk wouldn t let us into the movie we ve already paid for because the cut off time was 9:05 pm and we walked in exactly at 9:05 pm. The manager Jerrick was aggressive. We told him we have 4 kids and come here regularly and he would be losing loyal customers. He said he was following rules so we asked for a refund which he gave us. He did not care at all and said that the tickets say you have to come 30 minutes early. This was not the case because I purchased my tickets through Fandango and did not receive any emails or disclaimers stating you had to come 30 minutes early. He called the cops on us claiming we refused to leave when we were about to walk out of the building. He claimed asked us multiple times even though he asked us only once. Do not come here!

When in the area, we always choose to stay at the Embassy Suites, since it shares a parking lot with this Alamo Drafthouse. Ive been to pretty much all the Alamos in the DFW area, and this is hands down my favorite one. I wish I lived closer. We always have great service. Molly was our most recent server and she was top notch! Food is great and on time, seats are comfortable. The only thing was there big screen had a little blurry in its top right corner. But I bet thatll get fixed quickly.

NEVER AGAIN ! I thought it d be nice to go watch a movie here, our first time at an Alamo. Everything went smooth until a couple of days later my account goes on overdraft. they took out extra money from my card without my consent or acknowledgement. Their recliners do not go back as far as the Movie Tavern in Denton, but that would only matter to someone like me who has degenerative disc disease and chronic pain. We love being able to use headphones for hearing impairment. The rewards are definitely nice perks when the app is working properly, but they are very unevenly rewarded. My daughter goes 4 or 5 times more often than us, yet we got a free popcorn way before she did. Food is not as good as the Movie Grill either. Its just very expensive to eat at a movie. But I love being able to order tea instead of soda!

I haven t been here in years but I figured today I would try it again. It started with them almost not letting my 8 year old brother in because it s after 7pm. Even though he is with an adult (I m 21) and we came to see a PG rated movie. Then once we sat down we started opening our snacks (we brought dollar tree snacks which yes I know is frowned upon), they took them away from us. The guy was not nice about it and said we ll get them back when we leave. My parents have also had a really bad experience so we will most definitely not be coming back.

Food was good but way too overpriced for small portions. Paid 20 for a burger with avocado and it was the size of my palm. The patty was cooked basically and if im paying 20 for a burger Id expect to my preffrence. $7 for a refillable drink that got refilled twice and I shared it with another person. Not to mention I was charged an 18% tip because I didnt sign my receipt because of a card decline and they had to re-run it. Called to fix the issue and they didnt do anything but tell me the policy. Now my bank is negative. Im a teenager who doesnt have extra money to waste on a fine print tip. I didnt even want to go, I went bc my friend bought the tickets. I will never be coming back to any location.

We love going to this Alamo Drafthouse! Our last visit, Aaron was an awesome server with spectacular customer service. I took the survey after our visit and noted that the food and drinks could ve been improved upon for the price and Jacob promptly reached out (which I wasn t expecting) and his hospitality and customer service was far above and beyond my expectations and wayyyy above what the standard of service is today. The people at this location are exceptional and we ll keep coming back because of them.

But dont talk or text during the movies, because they will put a curse on you that makes you stub your pinky toe on every table for the rest of your life. It was such a nice place to watch a movie. I had never been to a theater like this. It was enjoyable and very comfortable. The servers walking around were not distracting at all. Next time Im in town Id definitely stop here for a movie.

This a very racist location, they dont have any minority staff either. Me and my friend were targeted from the moment we went in. I think the guy next to me complained about me looking at my phone, I was actually pulling up movie details, but hey Im black and hes white, and the staff was white and I got kicked out for looking at my phone for 1 or 2 mins. I will never go to any Alamo draft houses and will tell my friends to not do so either. Good luck going broke, losers.

Overall nice theater but needs some upkeep. Chairs have flaking seat covers that need repair. Food was okay but popcorn is great!

Great place to see a movie with comfortable seats and great servers. I am on a restricted diet, but the staff listened to my concerns and brought me a separate popcorn bowl with no butter! Enjoyed the experience tremendously!

The movie was great, but the service was even better. The staff worked very hard to care for us without being overbearing. They were kind and attentive. The seating area and table were clean, and the food was good. My favorite was the boozy milkshake; I highly recommend!

Alamo is my go to spot for seeing a movie. Their menu selection and food is top notch, their sound systems are amazing and their laser projector screens dont disappoint. Its super easy to get a ticket through their app and at the kiosk and they like to spice things up with movie themed menus, events that are super cool if youre looking for something different and a bunch of other stuff as well. Its the only place I really like to watch movies, Ill go other places but I prefer Alamo over them all.

Interesting theater. I like the movie and dinner concept in some theaters. Went to see Barbie Movie in a group. It was easy to get seats and the line was short at the entrance. Simple sized theater with basic selections for food and popcorn. The popcorn options are nice though. I got the churro popcorn and it was pretty good. The sound in the theater is appropriate and the color on the screen is not overwhelming. Cool experience.

Don t come 5 mins late !!! They will not let you in. Never have good experiences here just because it looks nice doesn t always mean it is. Even tho people go in and out for bathroom . Go to another theater that s cheaper and let s you have the best experience.

We will always pick Alamo over any other theater. Better screen, better audio, consistently delicious food and drinks, and we love the pre-show. Plus other movie and diner places use lights or make you talk to the servers. A simple note is way better. This alamo is also the best in the DFW north Texas area.
