Rick is phenomenal. He actually cares about his clients (I am one of them) and wants the best for them. He has encouraged me to live a healthier lifestyle and is guiding me well through legal matters with Denton County (blessing in disguise). From what I gather, in speaking with other individuals navigating the Denton County court system, Rick is highly respected and recommended. Grateful he is representing me. He is knowledgeable, kind, committed, and communicative. Thank you for your guidance and representation.

I hired Rick to represent me for a charge that Rick helped me to go to trial for. I think Rick is the best criminal defense attorney in Denton. He did exceedingly well. Case dismissed. He is the foremost of attorneys in Denton. Highly recommended!!!!

I felt obligated to share my experience after reading the other reviews. I cannot speak for any other individual, however, my experience with Rick Hagen and Cary Piel were quite the contrary to the other reviews. Rick and Cary worked hand in hand on my felony case. My whole life and career were at stake and they not only worked hard on my case but were also compassionate with my situation. I let them know from the beginning that I would not settle for any plea deals or probation, my case needed to be dismissed. They agreed that it was an act of self-defense and were able to reason with the DA to get my case dismissed. Thanks to them I was able to get my life back. Throughout the whole process there was an open line of communication with both Rick and Cary, and their parallegal Mandy was also amazing. I would most definitely recommend Rick and Cary.
