I don t know how we ended up being the only people here on a Friday night at 7pm but the food was delicious and everyone working was very nice and attentive. We had fettuccine moda mía and spaghetti & meatsauce. The meat sauce was very meaty. And the Alfredo sauce was delicious did not taste like the typical flavorless Alfredo from other places.

Every dish I ve had here is absolutely spectacular! The chef never misses. Each bite is an experience of deep, bright and nostalgic flavor. I always look forward to my next visit before I ve left. The staff is wonderful. The chefs attention to each plate is truly artful. Tried the Alfredo sauce for the first time tonight and I highly recommend it and their iced tea!

I was born in Denton, and my mom has been a local resident since the 80s. We had heard of Bagheris but never tried it. Unfortunately, the extremely rude way we were treated at the restaurant ensured I will never be going back. We arrived during business hours and the doors were locked. We stood there for a moment as another pair of customers walked up. The other customers asked us if we had a reservation and then began to talk down to us because we didnt have a reservation. One of the staff members unlocked the door, said they were still getting ready for service, and greeted the other people very kindly. Then they turned to us and asked if we had a reservation, which they did not ask the other customers, and told us they were fully booked for the night. Awful experience, and the restaurant clearly had no intention of building any new clientele. It must just be a local business intending to close soon as the owners get older.

Delicious food, good portions, kind staff. The only complaint was the last couple of times the place has been so hot. Uncomfortable enough that we hurried through dinner. Hope they get that fixed soon.

Top notch service for sure. Atmosphere is dated but it s a good old school Italian vibe. I ordered the chicken Marsala for the wife and I. One of our favorite Italian dishes. Chicken texture was perfect. Noddles were al dente. Mushrooms had a great clean earthy taste. But the dish was lacking in flavor. It was very bland so i had to season it myself after i took my first bite. For $31 a dish, i was very disappointed. Also it would help if yall had a website where customers could see the prices before ordering. I don t think I ll be back. I ll stick with Porto fino s in Krum.

My bf got our food to go and we had no idea what we were in for! The salad was huge decorated with fresh veggies and fruit!! Large pieces of fruit and veggies! The spaghetti was divine robust and full of flavor! The garlic bread was huge and cheesy and yummy!! Im blown away

Went here for mothers day lunch. We were the only family in the restaurant. There were two men working. One waiter( elderly man )and the cook looked to maybe be the elderly mans son in his 50s. Food was very good. The only complaint I have is my daughter and her husband told the waiter they wanted to share a plate and they brought them each a full order. My mother ordered one order of bread and the man brought 4 orders. So our bill was double what we planned on it being. I dont think anything was below 17$ on the menu. So beware of the high price if you have a large family your paying for. Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly

This place was awesome. We went there on a whim, looking for another place and ended up here. Yes, its small. Yes, the entrance is rather interesting and the parking area has something to be desired. Is an old strip mall. But once you get inside, it is a cozy family restaurant with the owner Syd and I think his brother Syd running the place. Who cares about the decor and table cloths if the food is good! The food was amazing and was really prepared fresh to order. I was debating between the beef and sausage so they offered to combine them. They also combined the meatballs and the meat sauce for my GF. The serve was very personable and I can see where some get offended because you have to engage them as they are trying to manage the tables and cook. We spoke to them after quite a bit, and they recommended reservations because its only the two of them. And they want to make sure they can take care of everyone who they seat so if theres empty seats. It does not necessarily mean that they have an open table , I told him wed be back and he recommended we call for a reservation so they save us a spot to make sure that they can serve us well. This is not some chain store and they know they have good food and will take care of the ones who show them the same respect. I highly recommend this place and those who dont appreciate it as someone said they can go someplace else...

I have not had Italian food this good outside of Italy. I have been three times now and ordered three different meals all the most amazing dishes. The owner and maybe one helper do everything. Chef, waiter, cashier, moliere, comic You have to get past the whole strip mall exterior. Be sure you have time to really sit and enjoy a meal. Not quite the European speed but definitely longer than most Americans expect. I would come again and again. By reservation only. Bring your own wine for an extra enjoyable and special occasion.

Dinner at Bagheri s was a birthday request, and wow, they really knocked it out of the park! Our party of 5 were treated like family and all of our dishes were best we ever had . I had the Veal Marsala and it was amazing! All other dishes were also cooked to perfection (Chicken Marsala, 2 X Chicken Parm, and a Fettuccine Alfredo)! The meal far exceeded all expectations! We will be back for sure!

This was our first time eating here and it was amazing. I had the Lobster Ravioli and my wife had the Spaghetti with Meatballs. The portions are very generous and the food was absolutely delicious. This was an incredible meal. The absolute best Italian food I have ever had, hands down! Dama Bianca dipping sauce, with home made hot bread was a 10. The muscles in lemon garlic sauce was probably my favorite part of the meal. Just so delicious. A huge portion size too. For our meal we shared tortellini in marinara, Lobster Ravioli, and sausage lasagna. They were all perfect! Decadent and fabulous. Huge portion size. We took home most of it. I am blown away by this experience. Great atmosphere. The ambiance is very romantic. Soft lighting and music playing, hardly anyone else there. The owner is literally the person cooking your food and serving it to you. The man has a talent and a passion for what he does. Go check this place out. You won t be disappointed.

Everything was great! I found this place from google map and went there right after work, we enjoyed the food a lot! I m fan of Italian food and had the best Lasagna here. I can t say how delicious the dessert was. You should try this ice cream. The owner run his business alone by himself, without any help. my partner and I came here for dinner this evening really excited to try this place we ve lived in denton for quite some time and love italian and haven t ever made our way over here. we ordered our drinks and were looking over the menu, when we received a call from one of our family members with an emergency that required our immediate attention. we waved down our waiter and informed him of what was going on and asked for the bill for the one soft drink we had gotten so far so that we could go ahead and leave, but we were told it was on the house and that we could hurry up and get where we needed to go. a man who i can only presume was the owner stood at the register, watching this interaction, and then raised his voice at us in front of all the other guests to tell us that we need to get out and never come back, and that we are never to show our faces there again. my partner communicated to him that again, we had offered to pay and were happy to, but he just repeated himself, literally as I was exiting and on the phone with my distressed family member. as if my partner and I would be low enough to intentionally dine and dash on a cup of water and a $3 cup of soda, after literally only being in the restaurant for 5-10 minutes. unsure if the hostility came from his idea that we were trying to dine and dash, or if it is because my partner and i are both women, or if it was how we were dressed, or what. the owner had been unkind to us from the minute we walked in. wouldn t recommend this place.

Although the food was good I have to say that the prices were a shock. Inflation aside it honestly was not worth the cost. I had eatten here once before and the food was exclent then and reasonable priced. The next two times I tried to come in I was turned away as they had been reserved for parties. We saw the online reviews and decided to try it out. We missed the part about reservations and showed up at about 7:30 p.m. The owner accommodated us despite not having a reservation since it was a little slow. I read some of the negative reviews and I think some people miss the intention of this restaurant. The owner presents an atmosphere for adults to relax. Many older customers often come and go; some to eat, others to drink wine. Why do I come to this conclusion? There are no kids meals on the menu. The recipes cater to the adult palate. The owner is involved in serving the food and busses tables along with other waiters. He is involved in the operation of the restaurant and supervises at the same time. Not many owners or managers will do this anymore. Additionally, if you pay attention to the service, you will notice that they watch how fast or slow you eat and time the next plate for you. That is attention to detail to the customer; something that is lost all too often in other restaurants who bring out your next plate when they are ready or not at all. Now to the quality of the meals. Excellent! The recipes have a unique taste and are well portioned. The ravioli sauce was magnifico! The chicken parmesan was so tender, I could cut it with a fork. A word of warning; lots of cheese! But I like cheese, so it didnt bother me. Finally, we introduced ourselves to the owner. He was cordial and we spoke about where he came from. We got to know him. Hes a nice person when treated with the same respect. We will definitely be back to try different meals.

6/28/2022 We were enthusiastic: First time we were there after reading the good reviews! I called to make a reservation and a terrible opera singer yelling a note answered Not space to leave a message We decided to drive there. Bad idea. The neon sign said OPEN, the door hanged sign said CLOSE The door was unlocked. We walked inside: 3 separated tables occupied with 8 customers total having dinner. The place was cute, like an open kitchen and the dining room in a comfy house. It smelled good. Suddenly a cook came to say: No, no, no. I cannot serve anyone else. I have ALL this people to attend. He got back to the kitchen And that s all, no hello no good-bye , no apology, no please, try again , nothing nada At least I hope the opera singer stops answering the phone maybe we could get a reservation for 2 soon and give them a chance

Having passed their door on numerous occasions without knowing when theyre open as hours arent posted, we went online to see that theyre a dinner only place that starts at 5:30 pm. Reviews seemed to indicate that food and service were exceptional so we gave them a try. I must say that though dishes seemed fresh and flavorful, and bread on the side adequate, prices were 2-3X what competitors charge for comparable plates with larger portions and actually better flavors. Service was hit and miss. Pretty much explains why the crowd was small during our visit and why we will go a little further toward the center of Denton for Feras next time.

I went there once without a reservation and was refused seating. No problem. So today being my birthday, I called to make a reservation for myself, my wife and 11 year old daughter who eats off the adult menu and was refused because my she wasnt 15!! That was a shabby excuse and I would not ever recommend this restaurant to anyone. They are apparently too full of themselves....I was a little disappointed because I thought I had found a good Italian restaurant (being an Italian from New York), but instead the owner was rude to me on the phone, so he lost a good customer for life.

I did a doordash delivery from this restaurant, and the guy and gal were absolutely, over the top nice. Was having problems with the order and they worked through it with me as best as they could as I was trying as well. The order still wouldnt go through and even though they went through their own trouble of preparing the customers food, and it ended up getting canceled, they were still nice enough to give me food after. Very VERY professional and friendly customer service, not to mention AMAZING ITALIAN PASTA WOW! 10/10 would recommend this place to everyone I know.

Good food but honestly felt it was a bit overpriced. $75 dollars for entrees and salads for two, the portions werent small but I still felt they were expensive, especially when we hadnt gotten appetizers or dessert.

This place is fantastic! I was surprised to find this wonderful restaurant in a strip mall. We stopped by on a Wednesday night, and the owner was great with figuring out what we shoud get. Everything we ate was superb.

First ..let me say that I only take time to write reviews when I feel like my experience is worthy of taking the time to thoughtfully express details ..I m the type who studies reviews before ever considering searching Google maps for directions. That being said, this cozy little Italian restaurant that you might drive past w/out a second glance is a MUST GO TRY TONIGHT for anyone who appreciates authenticity and an owner who cares enough to express his gratitude and personally welcome you like family. I ve dined at Italian restaurants in New York , Chicago, San Francisco, and I thought I knew great Italian but I ve never enjoyed each and every bite as much as I did here. Sid , the owner serves up flavor that no words can honestly do justice. It s a meal you don t want to end and one you can t wait to come back to and share with others! (Ariana along with all the staff treats you like family). I ll sum it up using a quote from The Godfather... Leave the gun, take the cannoli . The cannoli being anything on the menu at Bagheri s!

I ve been to some Great Italian restaurants. This place has the ambiance, the food and the service of a perfect hidden gem. Service outstanding and food was delicious. Had the Beef Lasagna. House salad. Marinara dipping sauce with bread 5 stars means nothing wrong with this place. Loved it. Felt like home.

Bagheri is THE MAN. The guy is a Italian God in the kitchen. He s the Italian Stallion of authentic Italian cooking. He always takes care of me. The food is amazing. The Dama Bianca sauce is probably the best sauce this side of Italy. The Ceasar salad is always amazing. Made from scratch dressing. BELLISSIMO! The portions are gigantic. You will not leave the place disappointed. Also try a cannoli if he has any made that day. Amazing.

Bagheri s is a wonderful, local, delicious Denton staple. Great food, warm local atmosphere. And depending on when you go, very entertaining personalities as well. This place is the cream of the crop. I drive all the way from Plano for this restaurant. Family ran business. The chef has ran this place for 30 years with his family. It s top notch. My fav Italian spot ever. Chicken Parm is to die for. I hope they are able to continue after the pandemic. If y all see this and can let me know if you are doing take out orders I will drive up there for more food.

The food is pretty good. However, know that young children are NOT WELCOMED by this restaurant. We brought our infant daughter in and were told there were no high chairs or boosters. We didnt really need one, so we dined in anyway. Our daughter wasnt loud or badly behaved, but we were treated coldly throughout the entire meal. I have seen similar reviews from other parents. I guess I get it ?? but we were treated so rudely that I wont be back with or without a child. If you want a haven from kids, I guess this is your place. I just felt super dissed by these people. : (

One word: Exceptional! Ive been past here a few times and been wanting to try it, I am sure glad I did! The place is quaint, but relaxing. The food is absolutely amazing, the service is attentive. I had the chicken parmesan with dama Bianca, the portion was big and oh so good. I had the very best tiramisu for dessert. Sid the owner was in the back cooking and when the orders were done he came out and visited with each table personally. He was a character, and very friendly. I cannot say enough good things about this resteraunt, I live 2 hours away and will be making trips just to eat at this place again. They make you feel welcome, treat you well and that food.. man you can taste the love thats put into it. If your looking for an exceptional meal give this place a try you wont be disappointed!

I ve lived in Denton for over 2 years and it s a shame I ve never heard of this place. This was exquisite. It was beautifully set up, expertly created and cooked, and wonderfully served. The house salad comes with fresh fruit and house made vinaigrette. Our entrées were fresh, flavorful with perfectly balanced ingredients. This is the date night spot. This is the family spot. There is no better Italian food place in Denton, and you will leave full and happy - and who doesn t want that?

Excellent food and great service! If this place was downtown, it would be packed all the time. Its a gem and you wouldnt expect it from the outside. The lobster ravioli is incredible. BYOB for wine! Sid is very accommodating. I asked if they could open early for my PhD graduation dinner, and they were happy to seat us at 4pm and serve our pre-ordered meals. It was a special treat and everyone enjoyed it! My dad ordered tiramisu to go, and they gave him a cloth napkin to take with him so he wouldnt spill on his tie - how thoughtful!
