Bavyas is a great place to grab a meal. The atmosphere was cozy and friendly, making it a comfortable spot to relax. Their biryanis were flavored good and well-cooked, and the Butter Chicken Masala was delicious. The staff was helpful and quick to serve, making sure we had a good experience. Im editing my review because its just pissing me off!! I ask for the owner or chef to taste the food before handing it to the customers, please dont play with health of the customers. We are not seeking any food for free nor the restaurant is doing any kind of charity. We are asking fr the good quality of food fr the amount being paid 15$ is what you charge for a biryani, where the chicken is stale its definitely 2days old the and upon that it tasted sweet who eats a biryani which is sweet?? Why dont the restaurant authorities trash the old and stale food? This is the pic of the parcel I received there are no onions nor salan. I just wanna take this issue to the food authorities so that there ll be some sort of change with the way they are treating customers!! This restaurant is a big no!!

ordered paneer kothu parata, chicken 65 biryani, chicken dum biryani, and mutton pulav the order costed us 56Dollars; i dont understand whats wrong with this restaurant again, we get old biryani which can be clearly identified. panner kothu parata was dumped with green chilli and pepper. there was no raita and salan or onions given with any of the biryani. would definitely not recommend the restaurant to anyone. i dont think this restaurant standards are you to mark.

I hardly write a review but I was not able to resist. I ordered the food via Uber eats. Taste of the food was bad. It came with curd and curd is one thing that is very hard to screw but even the curd was not consumable - it had a burnt wood flavor and completely not consumable. I got the goat biryani. And the rice was overcooked mushy and didn t taste like biryani had the spicy flavor but tasted like Mexican rice that had been too long in the tomato sauce. The goat pieces were small than my finger and I only received 3. Such a shame especially since this was about 18$. This gets 2 stars because before the remodeling I used to come here all the time for the biryani specials and it was amazing back then it deserved at least 4 stars. I never write reviews but the guy at the register was having an attitude and was very impatient. He just wanted to hurry to get back on his phone. I ordered the butter chicken masala and butter naan through DoorDash. The dasher waited for 30+ minutes, so collectively it took an hour to prepare the food. The butter chicken was insanely hot and I love spicy food, but my lips have been burning for an hour now and rice isn t served with this dish which I thought was odd.Additionally, The naan was burned very bad on both sides. I don t ever leave reviews, but this place was very disappointing. Hopefully, it was a one time issue, so if I try it again and my experience changes, my review will change as well.

I ve been here 2 times to pick up an order for Uber Eats. The first 2 times they told me it would only be 5 minutes. It turned out to be more like 12 minutes. I went there during the day, and I ordered curry. I asked for it not spicy 2 times and they ensured me it wouldn t be. They told me it wouldn t take long and it took forever. The place was a mess, and the food was so spicy I couldn t even take a bite. They also didn t clarify the curry doesn t come with rice, so I had to go back in and ask for it. To everyone who wants to try the dishes which I tried, CHICKEN PULAV - dont expect an authentic chicken pulav, its a veg pulav mixed with some sauted chicken. You can find potato,peas and carrot. Please dont be shocked to see veggies in a chicken pulav. BUTTER Chicken - This was actually a complimentary to replace an item in my ordered list. This is basically a chicken with just cardamom and ghee( please at least change the dish name - this isnt a butter chicken). Dont expect the authentic or the real butter chicken. I wish they concentrated on quality more, because the potential for a small gas station Indian kitchen is high in Denton, but that doesnt seem to be the case. I picked up Mysore bonda with chutney s today around 2pm. I drove 20 minutes to pick up the food and when I got to home I realized the food was spoiled. Out of courtesy called and notified the place instead of being polite and apologetic they made rude comments asking what I was expecting in return. This restaurant should be flagged for food inspection by the state. They haven t used warm cabinets or any refrigeration for the food. Please stay away from this place for your own health reasons!

Small restaurant that was previously a donut shop. Food tasted great. Service was quick. Loved the paratha. Ive never had that type of flaky flatbread. Terrible overpriced food. A small naan for 6.99! And not even fresh. Specifically told them mild food for kids but had so much spice that even adults could not eat. Horrible ambiance. Order pick up time delayed too. Not a good experience on any front! The only reason it has 4 stars is because they tell they ll give you something complimentary if you rate them with 5 star. I m ready to give them their food back complimentary. But not 5 stars! Don t try. Ordered 6 items, none met expectations. Disappointed

Worst breakfast experience. This happened a couple months ago. We had guests over so decided to order south Indian breakfast from outside. We waited for 40 min more than what they committed over the phone. Except for the idly, everything was poor. Dosa and sambar especially was the worst I have had in the dfw area.

Its awesome home style taste they have a variety of tiffins and curries which exactly tastes like home food which i ve been missing this many months I ve orders poori they served with alloo curry with make me feel like this is what i want but every where they serve with chole and i ordered idly and dosa they even the same feeling I recommend everyone to try these tiffins and well coming to biryani its next level home taste the process they make it is not a commercial grade they do it in a very own home style based process this made me to attract to that in this 3 years the only biryani i liked is here Of course there are some cons They need to take care of oil flood foods the poori and vada have so much oil in them tastes good , the pulav is an disaster actually i dont know about others but my personal feeling i didn t like it Should maintain the ambiance of the restaurant they do have a drive thru i dont know why its not in use Rest are really nice

Worst food Ordered pepper chicken .. they just took out of freezer and oven heated it . Biryani have no flavor or taste (over spicy) please keep out of this place . And the chicken they use is from Walmart/ or some other store not halal.. and meat was not cooked fully

We decided to do a short motorcycle ride to this small restaurant. We liked the masala tea and all veg starters like punugulu, veg pakora and mirchi bajji. No complaints about staff and cost of the food items. Good place to hang out though.

My roommate who used to dined there was refused service because of her relaxed American style clothing. She only wanted takeout and they ignored her. I believed if she was a white woman instead of a black woman they would have served her. I understand that it might be a cultural thing. But around here we dont feel the need to dressed up to get takeout at 9pm. This is just bad business.

I was excited to try them, but the options change from one day to the next. When I went in for a menu, I was told to use their website, which is updated daily to reflect availability. Annoying, but ok I guess. 2 weeks later I used their website to place an order at 3:20, pickup at 4:50. I was 10 minutes late and not only did it look like they didnt have anything waiting for pickup, the lady had to look up my order on the computer just to tell me that they didnt have something I had not only ordered, but paid for using Google 90 minutes ago! My phone # was attached to my order. Nobody tried to call me and I was so frustrated with their lack of organization that I just asked for a refund and doubt I will try again. They had been open for several months already.

Vegetarian options: The vada was probably made a decade ago they charged me sambar seperate and vada seperate and idli total of 20$ while their menu shows sambar vada as 5$ The sambar was ok but the vada was hard as a rock probably made few days before very bad experience

Ordered Plain Dosa, Onion Dosa,Uthappam,Poori,Aloo Paratha and Tea. Except Tea and Uthappam everything else is trashed because of worst quality. Chutney was too salty and the poori curry was over cooked and you can name it as smoked flavor aloo curry. I never recommend anyone to have breakfast here. When we complain about the quality they havent responded back properly. Dont know how these people can survive here in Denton with this kind of service. Hope theyll change their mind when they receive this kind of feedback from customers.

Served frozen haldiram aloo paratha, and did not inform prior that these are frozen ones. Charged $10 for a plate with 2 paratha. (4 pack packet retails for $2.99 in Indian store) Chai was not available at 8 PM. The Dosa was bland, very sub standard and sambhar wasn t any good either. The preparation is done by students. Did not even give us the bill, just asked the bill upfront. $20 for paratha and dosa. Owner was not present, only 2 students managing front desk as well as the kitchen. Please avoid if possible. Parking: Restaurant is in the Gas station

Tastes very authentic (no chicken tikka masala). Sambar and idli s were very good. Also liked the mutton curry and butter paneer masala. Very friendly owners.
