First, the good. The hotel is clean and well-kept. My room was very clean- I had no concerns. Breakfast was great the last two days. I bonded with the server and cook those last two days after a little misunderstanding with the bistro manager. Ill just say he fixed it and the young women more than made up for it with excellent service and friendliness. Front desk staff were generally friendly (didnt interact too much), except for when I initially checked in. So, now for the not-so-good. I arrived at this Courtyard after 2AM after being in transit for over 12 hours, just having left the Springhill because they had no hot water, and really needing to grab a shower and a few hours sleep before having to be at work for 7:30AM. I was met by Matthew (note that I didnt say greeted). He checked me in and while he was doing so, I offered to provide him with my Bonvoy # so that he could provide me with any upgrades/bonuses, as may have been available. Matthew let me know that he would get my Bonvoy number at the end (after he checked me in) because he could only do one thing at a time. He finished checking me in and even provided me with a completed tax-exemption form for my signature. That was very much appreciated. He handed me my room keys and sent me on my way. I wasnt offered anything for my elite membership; not even the bottle of water from under the back counter that is usually provided to guests. Before leaving the front desk, however, I did inquire about free breakfast and I was told that I could get $10 daily to spend at the bistro. Better than nothing, I suppose. I also asked Matthew if he was aware that I get a survey after my stay and he said that he was. I asked if he knew that Id be asked if I felt valued as a Bonvoy member and he again said that he was aware and asked if I felt valued. I told him that I didnt and explained why. His response was that he was sorry but he had a lot going on. I can appreciate the hour of our interaction and even that he may have had a very trying day, but so did I and mine even included sitting in a plane on the tarmac for 1.5 hours waiting to takeoff after a 3-hour delay and followed by an extended flight (to go around the weather). I do also want to recognize that Matthew may be an individual with special considerations (I wont say needs because he was clearly very functional and if Im making an incorrect assumption, I apologize sincerely). If this is the case, I am very grateful for his assistance, however, the things that Ive come to expect when checking into a Marriott hotel, and some being very basic, like a warm greeting and a bottle or cup of water, should not be overlooked. Rooms: Very clean! Food and drinks: The breakfast bowl is an excellent choice.

Wonderful staff, great room, quiet hotel, everything we were looking for after our previous stays at another Marriott property in Denton were slowly going downhill. The only complaint was that we reserved a King bed but received two Queen beds but, given everything that was happening in the DFW Metroplex over that weekend (and when we checked in) I can understand. We definitely will be staying here again.

Excellent room configuration and very spacious for a regular king-size bedroom. Their rollaway sofa/bed is of good space for our toddler and they also provided a pack-n-play for our baby. Front desk personnel were very helpful and friendly. We forgot an item (a toy for my child) and they called us within that same day to check how we wanted it to be delivered to us. Issues: 1. Kids and people WAY TOO loud up until about 1AM on the first floor and staff were not addressing it. 2. Music from the bar too loud and could be heard from the rooms. IF it was a decent system, it would not have been as annoying. 3. Soap & shampoo kits in the shower are mounted on the shower sidewall WAY too close to the shower head. It was in the way and kept hitting with arms and back trying to get under the shower head. The need to be moved midway or toward the rear of the shower tub. 4. $25 for 2 drinks from the bar at happy hour was REDICULAS! Rooms were clean, building was clean, counter staff were great, location was great, room rate was great on the UNT home game weekend. Nearby activities: Great for UNT visits and games Walkability: Walking distance from On The Border Mexican and Texas Roadhouse

I recently stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott in Denton for three nights and overall, it was a nice enough place. The hotel was clean, and the staff members were friendly and accommodating, which enhanced the experience. The location of the hotel is quite convenient if youre staying in the area, with easy access to nearby attractions and amenities. The lobby and restaurant area had a welcoming ambiance, creating a pleasant atmosphere during my stay. However, my main complaint revolves around the rooms. While they were still comfortable and functional, I found them to be a bit dated. It would be great if the hotel invested in updating the rooms to match the modern standards of other Marriott establishments. Nonetheless, this issue didnt hinder my stay significantly, and everything else met my expectations. In summary, the Courtyard by Marriott in Denton provided a satisfactory experience. The cleanliness and friendly staff were definite positives, and the location worked well for my needs. Although the rooms could use a refresh, my three-night stay was generally enjoyable.

This hotel is poorly managed. The treatment we received from their staff, more specifically MATTHEW, was hair-raising and offensive! We were falsely accused of making loud noises but there was an entire sports team in the hallway doing drills, running, & playing prior to us getting settled in. The adults who were chaperoning KNEW it was them but was never addressed or held accountable. Let s take a wild guess on why we were blamed and not them. Go figure! Had the police called on us and even they admitted that MATTHEW had no control over the guest who were already there and needed someone to take his frustration out on. On top of us being racially profiled, the rooms were hideous. We spotted ants on the walls, called the front desk, their solution was to bring spray since all the hotels were booked. Never received it! Addressed this with their useless customer service line and they explained that harsh chemicals cannot come in contact with guest. Okay, so where s the refund for the inconvenience? Not to mention, the shower in one of them rooms didn t work. Their response: we have checked the shower in both rooms and found that the nozzle from the shower head had been moved to a strategic position. That is probably why you felt that the shower was not working. We have since then put it back to its proper arrangement and the correct out pour of water is now back to normal. How does this help us now that our stay is over? How are we denied a refund when they clearly stated it was malfunctioned? The tone in that email from top to bottom lacked empathy and our organization will never support any of the hotel s associated with Marriot.

Horrible Experience. 1. I was overcharged for my stay. Booked 4 rooms, and my card was charged for 5 plus the authorization hold. 2.) We had a Late check-in and within an hour, we noticed ants crawling up and down the walls near the desk in our room. We then contacted the front desk and they advised that the property was full for the night, but they would look for bug spray and get back with us. We never heard back until few hours later saying they could not locate the spray. We then get contacted about noise complaints. We were accused of making noise which was actually being caused by a large youth team staying onsite the same night. Matthew, the night attendant was very rude to us and even got aggressive with one of my children by attempting to push the door open on her to scold about noise. I tried contacting management first thing Monday to get this resolved but instead, I was responded to in a very sarcastic email disregarding my experience. I believe Matthew was racist and that we were being discriminated against. He even called the Denton police on us (for no apparent reason). They arrived and did not even bother to investigate anything as there was nothing to investigate after hearing our side of the story. If we were so LOUD AND IRATE, why were we not asked to leave? You knocked on our door twice late at night to scold us for noises that were caused by another group. You chose to ignore that group but approach a room with only females, black females and black children. It is a shame to be writing a review about this, but it needs to be shared.

I stubbed my toe several times and hurt the bottom of my foot. Thankfully no blood no open wounds. Unfortunately I was so slammed busy and stressed that I kept forgetting to even mention it which is my bad. Housekeeping should have definitely noticed this if proper cleaning is being done because when I wiped up water on the floor it snagged the towel. Hopefully this issue has been handled being that it has been 2 months and I finally was able to stop to do this. Im not so much worried for myself but if there was a little one in that room it would have definitely drawn blood

If one has flip flops on one foot can be injured. Maintenance can address this issue with a 5 minutes adjustment of the door hydraulic closing mechanism. Would we shelter again here?..... yes, but in a different room. Noise can be easily addressed with a one half inch pad for the icemaker. Regarding the road.... a third window panel will also do. Ok if this review was solely based on the rooms and front desk staff, it d be a 5! We had a quick and easy check in (literally the fastest check in I ve had in a long while) and the room was spacious and clean! The shower head was not great at all. The indoor swimming pool was warm and my kiddos had a great time! The reason we rated this a 3, was because the breakfast employee was not friendly, seemed upset she had to take our order and just wasn t pleasant. I ordered the avocado toast and y all, when I say it was bad it was so bad. It was a piece of bread from the grocery store with some watery packaged avocado spread (pictures attached). My kids got the French toast and after one bite told me it was yucky. The strawberries were mushy (from a can?), and my husbands breakfast sandwich wasn t actually edible. We each took one bite and left after $35. Do yourselves a huge favor and skip the breakfast, head to Buc-cees across the street for a way better breakfast for way less!

We booked this room because all of Winstar rooms were booked up. Its a comfortable, cozy, and clean place to stay. Front desk clerk was very friendly. The price was a little higher than I wanted to pay for one night, but so is everything nowadays. I would book again if we were planning to go to Winstar Casino.

My family and I previously lived not too far from the area well this morning I walked out to my tire missing and my car being held up with a jack. I was told that my car; along with 2 other cars had been stolen from. Yes, that was unfortunate and I know that the hotels aren t responsible. My issue is that I was told the manager came in at 9a and would pull the security video, went back to speak to the manager and was told she wasn t in yet (9:45a), went back at 10:30 to speak with her and was told she was pulling the video I checkout and left to handle things with my car I told the front desk clerk what I was doing and asked that they didn t tow my car. As I came back in front handling things I asked can I speak to the manager because I wanted to let her know that I was getting my car towed, lay eyes on her, and see if we could possible book a room for another night since I had no transportation. The front desk clerk went to the back to get her only to tel me that she said the security video hasn t been pulled and someone at a higher level had to pull it cool! Even though, I was told that she was pulling it earlier that morning. I told the clerk that I though it was sooo unprofessional that I couldn t see her, she hadn t even spoken to me about the incident. I mean just the courtesy of me being at a hotel she managed and asked the clerk to put herself in my shoes. She went to get her again, but this time she was all of a sudden on a webinar. The clerk then told me that they weren t responsible and they were signs posted. Denton police didn t come out so yep that s that! I ll never visit here again and I m telling everyone I know not to. My mama, my brother, my sister, your sister, your sisters sister they don t care! Don t believe me just go!

Where do I start I m a platinum Marriott member started using the court yard the girl at front desk repeatedly has gone out of her way to place tule after rule on me , rules I ve never been hit with until her one after another . Finally she hits me with you cannot come in if you don t have a mask do I go to my truck and grab one five minutes later a white couple walk right past her no mask and nothing said . Then I m told that if I told pay $800 dollars got nights that I no showed they were going to have my Marriott reward account closed after speaking to Marriott I was told there s no way they can do that .I Came to the conclusión it s about race. Is what the girl that s going this and the. What I told it he girl when I I to complain to someone they said stop with that issue you have and when asked her name to let Marriott know who I spoke to she said I have no name

Brittany, Anna, Cooper, David, Alison and Jillian were the staff we had during a 4 day stay between 10-9 to 10-13. They were pleasant, knowledgeable, and very accommodating to our requests. There were 4 of us, plenty of hot water, we request no room service but whenever we needed anything staff was very efficient. Plan on returning next year!

Reserved room , when we showed up they didnt have the room available. Low on staff was the reason (covid). They have to clean and let us know when a room would be available. Within the hour or could be hours later.......We had a wedding to attend. We had to change in their restrooms and leave our luggage in our vehicle. And return after the wedding to check in. Well see how that goes. Disappointed in the situation, but I guess this is how things operate nowadays. So .... some guy named Jeff (young teen) kicked us out because they didnt have any room available at 300pm and when we returned at 12am I used some unkind words(profanity) to express myself.... he immediately kicked us out. No refund. Its all good. They need the$86 to help pay for staff. Hope we helped raise money for you guys. Invest it well please. Im sure Jeff can run a successful business on his own.

Nice place-was here 3 nights. Had a queen double- good size room. Clean & presented nice. Beds were decent as well. Microwave, mini fridge & coffee set up at separate counter is always nice. Pool looked ok, never got to use it. Air conditioner was great at temp control. Lobby was large & could hang out. Breakfast menu in lobby restaurant was simple & all made fresh to order. Staff was definitely friendly & provided a few local tips on what to do & where to eat. If you have never been to a Buc-ees(it is super close to hotel) give yourself a little time to go over there. Its HUGE & blew my mind a little when I saw ALL that was inside. Had a nice time in Denton. Have friends living here now, we will be back.

This is the nicest Courtyard weve stayed at. The upgraded room is really big and has a balcony. The little fridge kept things so cold there was ice in our water bottles. And yeah, the bistro is open again for breakfast, dinner and drinks! We were there April 2-4, 2021. The employees were nice like always. And there are 4 restaurants with parking lots bordering the courtyard. The pool and hot tub are inside.
