My Denton High School Class of 1961 meets for lunch each month at North Point Cafe on W. University. The food is way above average - plentiful - well-priced and fresh. I think it is the best Breakfast, Brunch, and Lunch restaurant in Denton County. But my 5-star rating, which is normally only given to high-end restaurants, is solely because of our exceptional waitress Brandy Valdez. Wednesday we arrived to find out tables already set up. Menus, Silverware, Extra Napkins, Condiments, Bowls of Lemons, Trays of water, and BRANDY, smiling and greeting us. It felt like we were stopping by my grandmother s home. Warm, cheerful, and excited to have us. Brandy served 2 long tables of 81-year-olds and treated us as her personal guests. Our water and tea glasses were always filled, our sandwiches were cut in half and just as we finished eating, there was Brandy handing out To-Go boxes, always smiling. Thank you for your kindness, professionalism, and SMILES. Please stop by North Point and ask for Brandy. The fruit crepes are awesome, the burgers are juicy, the fried okra is crunchy, the sandwiches are toasted just right, the breakfast menu is generous and they can cook an egg over easy just right. I have never ordered anything that wasnt top chef. Thank you!

From POV of Denton resident who dines out 5+ times a week ... I had CF steak, eggs and pancakes. All were prepared and served (thanks Tiffany) very well and generous portions. Dont let the building exterior (hope to see shade patio or landscape) fool you. The interior is bright, inviting and the music (oldies) is great. Highly recommend and Ill definitely be returning. Very reasonable pricing.

No wait, multiple servers, sat down and waited 12 minutes to be served. She said, what do you want to drink? In this non enthusiastic tone. Three waters, that s all we asked for. Waited another 15 minutes for waters that never came. We left. As servers of a very particular restaurant of greeting times, food times, etc, that was disappointing. I was excited to try the food but will probably not be back because of slow service. Not everyone is meant to be a server!!

While the service was good, attentive without being too pushy, the food itself was ... meh? The hollandaise on the Eggs Benedict tasted like it came out of a box, the pancakes were tough, the pancake syrup was watery, and the sausage tasted mostly of sage and not much else. The scrambled eggs, salsa, and coffee were the only redeeming features. Sorry, yall, but theres better places for us to go than this.

Amazingly extensive menu! The portions are so generous. Each entree comes with so many side options. I don t know another breakfast place that offers so much and the food is so tasty! A great breakfast spot definitely my #2 in Denton, Food is amazing steak and eggs were awesome cooked perfectly to temperature. Price was not bad at all 15.99 for 8oz steak 2 eggs hash browns and toast. The server was amazing didn t catch her name. Only gripe was I chose a booth and although I m 6ft tall getting in and out was difficult without moving the table or bench. Orange juice I was told is freshly squeezed but tasted like your regular bottled juice. Allergies were bad though so maybe It was me. But overall awesome place to grab a quick breakfast. Wheelchair accessibility: It s a daily open floor plan both inside and out, any persons in a wheelchair probably won t have an issue getting around the parking lot or into and in the store.

We had Bacon American Burger and Patti Melt. Sides were ocra and fries. Same old stuff. Nothing fresh; all seemed the usual frozen stuff. So, as far as food, nothing was unique or original. The waitress was awesome. She introduced herself and was happy and upbeat. She checked on us regularly. She took my order with my normal extras. Unfortunately, the kitchen did not follow through. Oh, well. The atmosphere was terrific. I loved the decor and the way all areas of the business were set up. There was no loud music. Disappointed- thought it would be better based on the reviews. The girls at the counter when we walked in were less than welcoming - didn t acknowledge that I was standing there for several minutes and I was standing right in front of them. Waitress was nice enough. Took our order but never came back. Water is NOT filtered. Chlorinated city water. Food was ok. Portions are decent, but the quality seemed mediocre. Leslie is a fantastic waitress and made sure we had our food and drinks out promptly. The food is also fantastic perfect spot for breakfast. This is my 5th time coming here and have always had excellent service and delicious food

My mom and I always eat here for breakfast when she visits. We absolutely love the food here BUT the last time we were in(12/10/2023), A HUGE ROACH SCURRIED ACROSS THE FLOOR FROM THE KITCHEN. I didnt want to kill my moms appetite because our food just came out but I havent stopped thinking about this since then. I felt physically ill after seeing it and had to force feed myself enough to make it look realistic that I was full so my mom didnt ask about it. Im really upset because I love this place but I dont think I can bring myself to go anymore because I will always think about that roach. Our service also sucked that day so that didnt help. Our waitress constantly passed our table without asking if we needed anything. We wanted more coffee but couldnt get her attention so another waitress came and filled our cups. I had to waive her down to get our check. It was very disappointing.

We decided to come here after hearing lots of great things about it, but left severely disappointed. My cappuccino was not a cappuccino (no foam at all) and had grounds at the bottom. It was also way too small. From the coffee mug we were given for another drink, it appears the espresso comes from pods. The food was okay, but they initially brought out the wrong order for my partner. That was rectified quickly at least. I really wish the server had brought us water or something after our (tiny and quickly finished) drinks, but we only saw her twice the whole time, once to order and once to pay. We were completely underwhelmed and will not be returning. We ll stick to other local brunch places that are worth the price.

Pancakes were cold, couldnt do Monterey jack cheese on my eggs in spite of it being in other items on the menu, sausage was dry, $3.50 for coffee, $5 for orange juice. Service was good though; shout out to Teresa, she took care of us well. In conclusion, perfect for old people

First and last visit 11/5. When we entered was told no booths. Took a small table just right of the bar. Total uncomfortable chairs, then within minutes the start putting people in booths to the right of the entrance. Ordered, took for ever to get meal which was wrong. How can a western omelet look just like a vegetarian omelet. Now I know, burnt eggs or brown and they all look the same. I asked for no cheese on my vegie omelet, it came with it. Total strike out for me at this place.
