It said $5.50 a game My wife and I ordered three games and two shoes shoes were like $4.75 along those lines after we bowed the three games The total came out to $47...... Not very good beer options No IPAs all watered down Miller lights smh! I would go down the street to Andy Bs same price but they will actually charge you by the game and not hit you for the full hour out of request of playing game for game instead of making money for the company!

Its a very old place, and yet they charge as if its modern and fast. The pins take forever to get positioned, theres a lack of service, and the kitchen staff show up 2 hours after opening. Simply terrible and not worth it.

Honestly its kinda old, but its cheap and a good time. Bowling seems fairly expensive these days. But this place is cheap and absolutely worth it. Great deal, plenty of parking, wasnt overly crowded like a lot of other places feel.

Good pricing, decent place, good drinks. The pin counter and pinspotter are wild and consistently drop pins, count scan incorrectly, and skip bowlers randomly now and then. Great for throw practice, couldnt imagine bowling league here though

This place has had much better decades. Our group experienced breakdown after breakdown. Woefully understaffed and the owner was gruffer than any character from Grimms Fairy Tales. Liked the 70s music in the background though.

As someone who once worked at this place back when it was Holiday Lanes, its pretty heartbreaking to admit that my experiences here (since it reopened) have been pretty abysmal. Most recently I tried taking my son bowling around 5pm on a Thursday, and was curtly turned away (in a completely empty bowling alley) with the excuse of league bowlers coming in at 6. We only wanted to bowl 1 game, but no dice; to say nothing of the fact that theyd closed ALL lanes to the public for what amounts to 4.5 hours of their listed business hours. Even without that infuriating experience though, theres a lot lacking in any trip to University Lanes. The staff is rarely at their stations, and seem highly annoyed by customers. Theyre still using balls and shoes which were on offer 20 years ago. The machines always malfunction at some point during a game. The bathrooms need overhauled. The snack bar/bar prices are clearly where they make their money. And the charm the building used to have has been gutted (no bar area behind the lanes, seating on lanes changed in horrifically unwelcoming ways, and the way the snack bar & pool table areas were opened up just makes the building seem like a school cafeteria instead of the oldschool dive appeal it once afforded). The 2 positives I can give University Lanes are that the AC functions (something Holiday Lanes struggled with), and they still have the lowest prices in town. But I never look forward to my visits here when a family member or friend begins feeling nostalgic. Fact is, this is not the fun and friendly environment it once was.

Prices online do not reflect the actual cost. 2 games was more than double the advertised price online and no refund or compensation was offered. The worker advised that the prices were from 2018. Wont be back.

Good cheap entertainment reasonably priced drinks etc. We have visited a few times over the years. They need to fix their bathrooms, thats the only complaint really. Its pretty run down but not anything you wouldnt expect really. Will be back.

This place is as absolutely terrible We ordered food before our game started. All we ordered was one pepperoni pizza for $16. On our 9th frame, our food still hasn t arrived and we saw a dominos delivery guy walk in. Apparently they ran out of pizza and instead of letting us know, they changed me $16 for an $8 pizza. Besides the food, this place is old and run down. The balls are all garbage and the lanes are uneven.

Its an ok spot. The outside is kinda sketchy and the inside is in desperate need of an update. The pinsetters need to be changed because they are slow to set up pins, return balls, and do not keep accurate track of which ones were hit. We have to change lanes occasionally because a pinsetter will completely be out of commission. But the people are pretty nice. I would come more often if the place was better kept.

Bottom line up front; this place is OLD and RUN DOWN. Many of the shoes we were given were blown out. All of the balls have huge gashes in them and are just generally worn out. The TVs are maybe old 480i SD flat screens from the late 90s. The place overall is dirty and not cared for. This could be such an awesome place if an owner that cared invested some money in this place for the first time in many decades.

terrible experience. we switched back and forth for 3 turns bowling just to be able to ask for a bottle of beer. there were no other customers at the bar. once we finally got acknowledged, she walked around in circles 3 or 4 times then proceeded to answer a FaceTime call behind the bar and talk on the phone. We finally got our 1 corona bottle after a good 15 or 20 min of waiting. As a bartender of 10 years, I would never give the awful service she did. Front desk guys were playing around the entire time and said they weren t able to give me an itemized receipt after having to pay for the bar tab and bowling at the front desk. don t plan to come back here. I ll stick to bowlero in Denton.

I love this place, I come here religiously. The low prices brought me here but I come back again and again because of how much great the staff is. Make sure if you come you go to the bar and say hi to sandy. As long as she s here I ll come every week because she is part of what makes university lanes a special place! 10/10 such a fun place, if you haven t been you re missing out. I was literally just turned away .. I recently started working at a job right by the bowling alley. I have to take mandatory lunch breaks. I take around 3pm. So I just went in today, JUST to talk and ask if it d be ok for me to start coming in on mon-fri and bowling for about an hour, between 3-4. That s literally all I had today, was A QUESTION. Because I wanted to become a REGULAR/Daily-CUSTOMER. And I was turned away, at 4:45, by an oily/greasy dude, saying I couldn t bowl OR be there, because they had tournaments that start at 6 .

We had a good time here. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The pricing was reasonable and the people playing around us were all super friendly. We will definitely return. Only issue, was the Ladies Room while clean had a bit of an odor. Other than that, totally recommend.

Place is awesome. Not crazy expensive, we always get fries and jalapeño poppers always freshly made and crispy. All prices are very reasonable and no matter what day you come they have lanes open. Its crazy that there not always full.

This place seemed little old but everything was great! I even got my best score here! They have variety of food and beer. Me and my friends were hungry and had chicken tender, burger, and fries. Went in with my sister and our two kids. Staff was very nice. They had a problem running my card for the drinks and the bartender decided to pay for our bowling since there was a delay with my card. 4 people and played 2 games each. Very nice gesture! Place was clean, would recommend!

On google and Facebook says open till 1am, when we showed up at 10:30 they said they are closing due to not having enough buisness earlier that day. We drove 1 hour, and they couldnt even put that on FB page or tell us that 1 hour earlier shen we spoke on phone ?

Oil in lanes vary too much. League nights you never know what the oil will be like. Staff refuses to tell you the pattern of oil used or even the length. Some staff have said that the technicians change the oil pattern at their own whim, to include increasing oil thickness and layout on different lanes.

Place is cheap looking and is over run with there shoes and equipment. But the place is very much a college scene as well as attracts the older crowd. But the drinks are cheap But I sadly wouldn t recommend coming here. Since you pay for what you get
