I purchased a CD soundtrack called Insidious CD Soundtrack on Discogs. I received it yesterday and I found out that I bought it through Recycled Books, Records, and CDs in Denton Texas I must say that I will purchase from them again. This place is HUGE! Not only do they have an extensive book selection to look through but also have a huge music and movie selection! Niche artists and bands, King Diamond albums are not as common to come across. Lots of new books for sale as well as the used. Definitely worth walking the entirety of to find some gems!

My only complaint is I didnt have enough time to stay and thoroughly roam through the bookstore maze, fully immerse in the extensive music collection and fall in love with the art. There were many sections I didnt even get to acknowledge (kids, games, the entire upstairs)! I will be back with time to spare. I think the Francis Bacon quote captures the adventure that is Recycled Books, Records and CDs. Now the question is...where in the store did I find that?

Always love coming here, first time using a wheelchair so didnt realize the ramp in the middle didnt have good traction for my shoes going down, my husband had to help so I wouldnt go too fast. It was a bit scary so I would just suggest putting something down for that. Other than that, good selection of books for good prices.

We grew up with Recycled so we re a little biased but this is one of the best bookstores in the entire country, and we have been to a lot. Do the floors creak? Yes. Is the shag carpet old? Definitely. Is it cramped in some areas? For sure. But the selection is fantastic and shopping here feels more like a journey than a transaction. Buy local. Support these folks. We need this bookstore to be here for generations to come. It s perhaps the single greatest business in Denton.

Now this is a bookstore! The building is dilapidated, the floors creak under your feet, and the place is absolutely jammed with books. I lost count of how many times I looked around a corner and found still another hidden room with more books to explore. The prices are really good, too. Ive been to Powells City of Books in Portland and this is the first store Ive been in since then that reminded me of it. You could easily spend an entire day and/or paycheck in here. It also happens to be one of the best record stores in Denton, especially if youre looking for newer music - its either this or, like, Target.

i had been wanting to come here for a while and was visiting Denton for another reason, so my boyfriend and i decided to stop in here. wow. i was not expecting to stumble upon what is essentially a labyrinth of used physical media. every time i thought i had ventured into every part of the store, i discovered there were still more sections for me to look through. the way this place is set up made browsing feel like an adventure, and the fact that its in a historic building certainly adds to that feeling. i collect CDs, DVDs, and art books, so thats what i initially came here for, but i realized shortly after coming in that they have a really large inventory of animanga, anime figures, and Japanese media (even vintage stuff) all things i also collect, but was never expecting to find here. i mean it when i say that this place feels like a dream come true, like a perfect little oasis, a winding yet cozy spot to just get lost in all of the excitement of being surrounded by so many different types of media and literature. i am not exaggerating when i say that this place is my favorite store i have ever been to in my entire life. i felt like a kid in a candy store.

Horrible experience for my daughter and her boyfriend tonight! I sent her to go look for some Red Hot Chili Peppers cd s and she ended up finding that and much more. She said they had to use the bathroom and put the CD s on a shelf. Well The employee there tonight (heavy set woman) told them to get out and demanded the CD s that they were about to purchase. ( she Thought they had them on them but showed her that they were on the shelf )Both kids are straight A students fixing to go off to college have never shoplifted or committed any crime in their lives. This lady yelled at the kids and humiliated them in public kicked them out like criminals, with people around just watching. I m so disappointed cause I really did like this store. Very unprofessional employee to say the least. Kids were so shocked they didn t know what to say. The main thing is they were heart broken cause it took a long time to find what they were looking for

Im not one for hyperbole, but this is hands down the most superior used book store Ive ever seen in the entire world. Thirty plus years military and Ive traveled all over it. Downstairs is literally a vault of fantastic books. Im a history buff and could have stayed there half a day looking through everything. Prices are competitive. This place has it all! Awesome section of scifi/fantasy, classic literature, mystery, horror and childrens books. They even have a rare books section that youll need to be let into by one of the staff. They had selections Id been looking for that I could only find online. I went here today to get tarot cards for an art project and not only were the prices absolutely fabulous, but the customer service was incredible too. Great place to hunt for old records. I have been here multiple times and spent quite a few hours here. Very attractively decorated with a chique decor flavor The location in Denton downtown is also very attractive
