The staff was super kind and helpful. Would go back again, and again! The first of many times! Kid-friendliness: Kids 8 and over can throw. If the instructor doesn t feel comfortable with the child throwing a real axe. They give them a foam axe so they can still participate.

We had a blast! The pricing is by far the cheapest in the area with them charging by lane and not by person. We threw for an hour and it also came with a free hour of pool or corn hold after. Helpful instructors and a variety of game themes for throwing. They have 4 throwing lanes, 4 pool tables, and corn hole outside. They also have a small bar inside which was nice for the adults. Small place, but would definitely visit again. We went around 2:30 on a Saturday and got right in, even with 2 lanes and 9 people. Husband was able to custom his axe which was a great birthday gift.

I came here for an event for my fraternity and had an awesome time. The staff was great and made everything so simple an easy. Had a blast playing all the different axe throwing games and the food was pretty good too. Definitely recommend for a fun and unique experience.

Love this place as it allows for me to hang w my teenage son and play pool in a non smoking place. Good tables, sticks and music(never the same). The other side is where all the ax throwing is going on and it always seems like the patrons on that side are enjoying themselves.

I love The Horses Axe! I always have a great time when I come here. The axe throwing targets are well designed (log ends, not boards), the projected games on the targets keep it interesting, the coaches can make anyone good at throwing, the wide selection of drinks are reasonably priced, and they have the best pool tables in town.

We went in with a group, and got 2 lanes. The training and safety doesnt count against your hour on the lane, so you do get a full hour. The place was clean, the staff was attentive and friendly, and the games were fun. You could throw at standard bullseye type targets, or zombies, ducks, and even candy crush. Definitely going back!

My beau and I had an absolute blast! It was out first time throwing axes and we both went into it thinking we would be terrible. Eric, our instructor, was a fantastic teacher. He was patient, kind and attentive throughout the entire experience. He gave prompt feedback on what we needed to do to improve our throws so that we were excelling in no time! We arrived without a reservation. Had to wait about an hour. While waiting the offer free billiard tables and corn hole. They have beer and soda for purchase. My husband had the last minute idea to go throw axes yesterday before we have to go do a big stressful weekend. I was pretty skeptical since Im not very active and melee weapons arent really something Im into. Genuinely probably the best date weve ever been on. It was so fun and easy to figure out. The explanations from the employees were thorough and helpful. The whole atmosphere was very relaxed and upbeat, and the music was GREAT! The games were unique and interesting and the employees were so chill and fun to talk to. We will be back very soon! Definitely worth a try, Ive found a new favorite date night activity! Im from Houston and belong to WATL...but dont hold that against me. This place is AWESOME. I took my nephew here for his 21st birthday, and hes said its the best birthday hes ever had. Staff is friendly and chill, not to mention they treat you not as a customer but as a friend, and the entire place is clean and inviting. I can honestly saw, if I lived in this area, you would see me in here every week, not just because the prices are good, or that you can drink...or that they have pool tables...or that...or that...I forget what I was saying, just kidding. This is seriously an awesome place to come throw axes. The general manager (Connor or Conner, dont know how you spell it!) has been SUPER helpful in getting my form straightened out so I throw better, and it never feels like hes talking down to you or condescending. Just a cool guy helping you throw pointy things. You can also buy your own axe AND get it engraved on site. All of the staff Ive met are amazing and my partner says the pool tables are great quality. Please give this place your business, you wont regret it.

Had a double date on a Saturday night and showed up around 7:30 or 8 without a reservation. They were quick to accommodate us and get us an axe throwing lane. My office rented out the whole venue for a end of the year work party. They didn t provide food, we had that catered, which was no problem at all. There s one big room with 4 pool tables(pictured below) that we congregated for eating and giving out end of the year awards to our Realtors on our team. They sell an assortment of drinks and alcoholic beverages. My wife and I were pleased they didn t over charge for water bottles, maybe we re scarred from Disneyland. After some time to eat the employees put us in 4 groups and took each group to the axe throwing room with 4 bays for throwing. We watched a safety video and we re given some instruction. They had plenty of helpful employees and experts to make sure we felt comfortable with how to throw the axes. We had a lot of time to practice and then played a game of 5 throws each to start the tournament bracket. While I wasn t any good at it, we had such a good time. We d definitely go back. And as an office we would definitely use this business again for an event or party. I recommend this place for their helpful employees and clean, fun environment.

If you re looking for something fun and unique to do in the North Dallas/Denton area, I highly, highly, highly recommend you try this place out. My daughter and I have wanted to try Axe Throwing for a long time now. We were looking for something fun to do on a Saturday night, and she remembered she heard about this place, so she called them and reserved us a booth. We arrived 15 minutes early to sign wavers and watch a quick safety video. After that, Eric took us over to our booth and gave us a lesson on throwing, as well as showed us the different ways to throw the Axe. Once we were comfortable, Eric let us loose, but stayed nearby incase we needed him. It took us a couple of games to really get the hang of it, and once we figured it out, the fun just kept on coming. They have multiple games to choose from to keep things interesting: bullseye, tic tack toe, zombies, connect 4, and more. After your Axe Throwing session, you can keep the fun rolling in their Billiards room with a game of pool. They also have drinks, snacks, and some pretty cool swag for sale as well. The staff here is amazing. Everyone was extremely welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Eric initially taught us how to throw and kept us entertained and engaged throughout the entire experience, which was a added benefit. I HIGHLY recommend this location for tons of fun, to blow off some steam, for special occasions, or just because you ll really have a blast! Just make sure to wear closed toe shoes, or you can t throw. Thanks guys, we will be back!

Had an amazing time. The games are awesome and the staff are some of the most friendly people you could find. It is the best axe throwing venue I have found. Fun tournaments and even poor players (me) can have a great time without feeling bad about the score. I recommend this place to everyone.

Jessica was super awesome and explained everything thoroughly! She showed us different ways to throw and then had us try different ones to find out perfect fit. I wasn t very good at it, but won the Zombie game! Everyone but my daughter won a game, but all had a lot of fun! Thank you!

We were looking for unique date ideas and this was it. We had a blast while learning some physics, sharing beers and laughs. The two ladies working were very accommodating and fun/easy to talk to. They made the experience even better. Theres a variety of axe throwing games to play and billards included in the cost. They have plenty of drink options and a few snacks to enjoy while youre there as well. It was very calm on a sunday afternoon but I imagine they do get pretty busy in the evenings. Would def recommend!!

This place is so fun! The staff was super friendly! They showed us how to throw the axes and gave us pointers too. We got to throw to all different games for an hour. There is also pool to play before or after. There are a lot of alcoholic beverages to choose from. We had so much fun!!

Went for Mothers Day with the family! Madre loved her new ax and had the best of times playing pool- or should I say learning from the best of us my brother- and choosing fun axe inspired names (axe-cellent if you would)! While this wasn t our first time a The Horse s Axe, I know I speak for our whole party when I say it won t be the last, it was also great seeing and interacting with the same and some new staff members! Only thing I wish there was is another location in The Colony

Best time for my first time! I got a customized axe, everything from the teachings of the axe throwing, to the vibes, drinks, and pool tables! 10/10! Drove all the way from Dallas, and will definitely do it again.

A different type of fun, but was fun. There is a technique to throwing but the rep I think Cody he was very knowledgeable and he explained and took his time with each person in our party and watched a little bit to help you with your technique so that you will be able to get a better score. You also can purchase your and have it engraved.

I cannot rave enough about this place!! I have been telling everyone!! This was so much fun!! This is a very clean, professional, friendly, and organized facility. As soon as I walked in the door, the staff was very welcoming. They explained how things worked, had me sign a waiver and watch a video prior to throwing. Unfortunately, I wore open toed shoes without even thinking. The staff provided me with socks (I got to keep) and shoes, which is so nice because I do not live locally. I was throughly trained on how to properly throw the axe. It took me 45 minutes to get it down. Lol. However, the staff kept checking in on me and helping me, as they could see I was struggling. It was really nice and made me feel good to know they cared and were willing to continue helping. This place is hilarious! They have all kinds of funny puns for the games. Mine was Nice Axe. Lol. They have games like Connect 4, Tic Tac Toe, and Duck Hunt you can throw your axe to! Connect 4 was definitely my favorite. They have beer and you can get a bucket with 4 beers for a low price. They also have shirts with funny puns on them. The best part is, you can pay like an additional $10 to keep the axe! Then, once you re done throwing, they take pictures and send them to your email! I took the time to write this review because I was THAT impressed with this facility. This place is great and they deserve all positive reviews for the customer service alone. Go! You will not be disappointed!

Wow. Just, wow! What a time. We were present for the Bridgeway Group event and the axe-holes that work there are so accommodating and nice. They take extra care on safety service and there is just enough room for fun but not hijinks. Definitely recommend!

I highly recommend The Horses Axe! I took my son for his birthday and he had an awesome time. It was so much fun. he even got his axe engraved and was able to take it home. Defintely a nice change of pace from just going out to dinner to celebrate a birthday. Also, the employees couldnt have been friendlier or more welcoming.

This place is awesome. They have a great staff and environment. I went here for my first time throwing axes and our instructor Connor was very helpful in coaching us how to throw. They also have free to play pool tables that are high quality and well taken care of. The pool table area is very spacious which is always a plus when theyre busy. If youre in Denton looking to have fun in a relaxed atmosphere, I highly recommend it.

Best Axe throwing venue Ive been to hands down! Great staff and the boards are the end side wood- the real way. Also, the digital projection makes it nice to change up the targets. Been 3 times now and had a blast. Alcohol selection is great as well.
