Some of the best tex-mex in Dallas, always pretty busy but the service is prompt and they turn tables quiclky. The carnitas are the best Ive ever had outside of a taqueria, and the salsa and warm chips are always great too. Prices have crept up over the years but still very worth it and portions a good, you wont leave hungry. Parking: Pass the restaurant and hook around the back, its a small lot and sometimes if its full you might have to cross back the one way to the extra lot across from the front door.

My husband and I had been wanting Mexican but not Tex Mex because I don t usually care for the salsa and if I like the salsa I usually don t like the queso. This was the first place where I LOVED both the queso and salsa. The food was great and its the type of old school Mexican food I am use to and enjoy. The only thing I didn t like ordering online was I had a delivery fee charge even though I did a pickup order.

My friends and I had dinner and drinks on the patio on Wednesday night. The food was good, service was good. But, E Bar automatically charged us 20% gratuity on a party of 5 without any notice. I almost tipped on top of the automatic gratuity until I friend pointed it out. This seems misleading at best and dishonest at worst. I don t plan to go back.

Disgusting place to eat. They serve alchohol. So theyll make sure you drive home drunk, but theyre anti-cannibus. Which means they would discriminate against anyone with a medical condition that uses medical marijuana. Zero stars.

This is our neighborhood bar and I can t remember a time when my meal came out wrong. Food is fantastic, also a great place to enjoy some Tex Mex or just have a drink specially a skinny margarita prepared by Misty. I have been going to e-bar regularly for almost 8 years( usually 1x a week) . The drinks are strong( I drink a top shelf margarita) and the food is good and consistent. I haven t had a dish I did not like. I have always had good service with the exception of once or twice. Every city has their own version of Tex-Mex and eBar reminds me of Austin Texmex which reminds us of home.

yummy in my tummy! the tacos here were great! we had tacos with flour tortillas and they were grilled to perfection and with every bite there was a nice crisp crunch. We also had the elotes they were just ok... def wouldnt have that again.The salsa that came with the chips had a nice kick to it and the meat in the tacos were very well seasoned. Overall great experience.

Favorite Mexican food in Dallas! Ive been dining here for years. Now live in East TX but it is worth the drive to go eat there! Personally I love the enchiladas and their quesadillas. Also the E-Bar queso is delish. If youre a margarita person, definitely get The Meltdown. It is top notch!

I had Huevos con chorizo. The flavor was great and it came with tortillas so I was able to make little tacos with that. The salsa is tasty and the chips are fresh and crispy. I was happy with the experience, spent a little more money than I was initially anticipating but alas that is just the world we live in now. Inflation sucks.

E Bar Tex-Mex is a must for us anytime we are in the metroplex. We always request the patio. The food, service and atmosphere are excellent. My bar for fajitas is quite high and I have never been disappointed. My father-in-law loves the salsa so much that we always take a container back home to Tyler for him every time we go. Give them a try. You wont be disappointed. Parking: There is plenty of free parking adjacent to the restaurant.

I love my neighborhood spot. It s cozy and busy, lots of regulars and a fantastic menu. I ve tried at least half of the menu and everything hit the mark for me. The Jorge s tacos are popular for a reason, they re off the charts. The meltdowns are my favorite frozen margarita in town, but they ve got a kick so be prepared. I think all of us that frequent E-bar feel incredibly lucky to have a late night spot of this caliber down the street from us where we can go see familiar faces any night of the week. Gosh I totally didnt want to do this but we love supporting local sooo they cant fix what they dont know about. This is my first 1 star and maybe our 1st walk out without ordering. Hot Friday, 2:45p, were excited about ordering a marg and having a late lunch. Love sitting at the bar to meet people and engage with bartenders (hubby was 30 yrs behind the bar) Bartender barely acknowledged us, zero smile, seemed annoyed we wanted to wait 15 min to order our marg at HH, handed us menus, walked by us several times, no chips, still no engagement, we were ready to order and she just kept messing with dirty glassware right in front of us without looking at us or asking if we were ready to order. Time to walk. Loros across the street was a much better choice

We went in for lunch, the staff was on the job! They aren t very talkative about the menu, but they get this job done. We had chips and queso, chips and salsa. I love the thickness of their chip and the crunch. It s one of those restaurants where you end up getting full on the chips and salsa/queso because they re so delicious and that s what happened today. I got so full on the appetizer that I had to get my mail to go, but it was really good. I had a chicken dish and it was kinda like a chicken and gravy with vegetables. I didn t realize there would be like a sauce with it, but it was really good. It came with your choice of tortillas flour, corn, or Mix , and the nacho plate was gotten by my friend and it was huge. It was so much to eat like the lunch portions were dinner portions. The price was super fair and it was a good time. It was a cool a cooler summer day for 11:00am, and the fans were blowing, the AC on the patio was on and they cut that off for us and turned off the fans. We were inside to start, I want to say this was a super humid day, but the air conditioner had condensation and the water from it dripped onto our chips so we asked to move and they accommodated us without a problem. It was a great experience and I would go back anytime.

Comfortable atmosphere. Quiet enough to converse easily. Good salsa. Loved the meltdown margaritas. Enjoyed enchiladas. Burracho beans were great. We will return. Updated August 2023. Recently we have been taking groups to E Bar. Managers Katie and Matt are helpful and accommodating. Our birthday group was about 24 people on a week night. The servers that night did a good job of taking orders and providing speedy service. Some family members commented that the food at E Bar was better than their favorite Tex-Mex at home. The experience was everything we hoped for. Later this year we are planning another group using a limited fixed price menu. Again, the managers are helpful and supportive. We had a fun early dinner with James recently. He was engaging and quick witted enough to keep up with our verbal sparring. It was a real pleasure to have him as our server for that meal. Make sure to try the Meltdown Margarita if you havent yet.

Great to know people are allowed to be served alcohol and act very loud, belligerent, and stupid but I m not allowed to walk through the door as a medical marijuana patient because . Well you don t want to smell it??? I came back 2 days later not smelling like marijuana and was so unimpressed with the service. The food was actually pretty good but doesn t take away from the fact that people were smoking cigarettes right outside the restaurant and apparently no one had an issue with them putting it out right outside the door and walking in like they don t wreak of cigarettes. Some of the worst restaurant service I ve ever had. The wait was an hour, ended up being an hour and a half fine. We ordered margaritas and they weren t strong & were clearly made with lemonade (at a Mexican restaurant ??). Our waitress took forever to take our order and never checked on us. The food came out quickly, but was mediocre at best. Rice was dry and the tacos were subpar. We waited forever to get our check and the waitress was nowhere to be found. We asked multiple people in the restaurant to find her just so we could leave. She continued to take forever, interacting with just about every table in the restaurant besides ours. They had a bar area with the game playing and a patio area for outside eating. They have a parking lot but you can park across the street too. We found this gem by sheer luck and now it s our favorite place! The food is amazing. The spicy bean soup is pure comfort food with soft tortillas. You can t go wrong with anything on the menu but Jorge s tacos are the runaway star! We prefer to sit at the bar to watch the hustle of it all. The variety of drinks is wonderful and the staff is friable and professional.

Tex Mex hell yes! If you are smart enough to say yes! To E Bar! My only issue I have ever had with EBar is the name. I mean- does it sound like Tex Mex dive sports bar in the best way to you?! Otherwise this is a perfect 10 experience every time all the time. That is if you are open minded to eat chill beverage repeat.

Our cheese was not melted as much as normal. Beans more greasy, rice more dry, drinks less tequila Vegetarian options: Entrees that are all veggies. Dietary restrictions: Knowledgeable about gluten free.

Ordering to go is like trying to crack the code on a safe. After fidgeting with the system and getting errors over and over I called back in (I originally called in and was directed to the website) Once I got there to pick up, I stood there for what seemed like 10 minutes while employees casually walked by (maybe I was invisible that day) They also werent very busy at all. Finally got my food. The E Bar Queso is always a 10. The service... not so much.

Tried blackened fish tacos Not a fan of corn tortillas so I asked for flour. But of course the portions are designed for smaller corn tortillas. I wasn t really into the rice or bean soup either. Nothing really clicked for me. The normal beans and rice were much better and the soft tacos look great. They also have elotes and nachos I would try. To be fair, I think I just ordered poorly. They do have good salsa and quality chips, the service was a little slow, but it was a Saturday night and I know the industry is struggling right now. Prices seem a little out of control too, but again I think that s just the times I guess. I d come back, but I would order something else.

E Bar is a great restaurant with a fantastic atmosphere. The staff is always so kind and attractive. Food options are great and the quantity and quantity of food is always spot on. Their drinks are reasonably priced for Dallas. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys great Tex-Mex food in the area. Vegetarian options: There are typical vegetarian options that you can expect at a Tex-Mex restaurant but nothing specifically made for vegetarians. You can find things to eat but may not be specific to what you are craving.

I popped in on a weekday afternoon & it was a busy lunch rush. We were sat quickly and outside on their covered patio (with a view of the parking lot, just FYI). Jessica was a lovely, attentive server. I was given the wrong food at first (veggie quesadillas instead of chicken), but both were quite delicious actually so it was a pleasant accident. Carne Picosa was so yummy, especially for something I wouldnt usually order. Margaritas arent very flavorful, on the weaker side. Overall, great lunch experience and Ill be back.

This place was highly recommended and did not disappoint. I was with a large group and they handled us flawlessly. Everyone enjoyed the food and drinks. Jorgés tacos were the favorite especially when you got a variety. Portions were good, food was fresh and hot. If youre in that part of Dallas I would recommend checking it out.
