This was our second visit to Georgie. Our first was on Valentine s Day for a special tasting menu. It was extraordinary, so we were excited for our second visit. Completely underwhelmed. Not sure if their a/c was out or if they were trying to be eco-friendly, but it was 90 degrees out and no cool air inside. Service was okay, but the Sommelier was terrific. He was the high point of our visit. Otherwise the food was very mediocre considering the price. Flavors were flat with not much pop. The new scallop and crab dish tasted entirely of lemon, no dimension. Small portions and high prices. Won t be back.

The atmosphere was amazing, and the services was top notch. Now the food was the best part. Chef RJ knocked it put of the park. He definitely did not disappoint. From the French onion soup, to the steak, and then his take on comfort classics such as a big mac that he has turned into fine dining. The desserts were amazing. The cocktails so good. I will definitely be back, Thank you Rj for making our anniversary amazing. Dietary restrictions: The servers ask if you have any allergies or restrictions.

Elegant and tasteful. Good service, but the real win is the flavor - spice and sauce that is delightful. Valet or park in the complimentary garage. They say they have a dress code, but I didnt see them enforce it. Most people were well dressed. They make it special if youre celebrating something.

Great atmosphere and over all vibe. The service was top notch as well. The drinks were great as well. The Georgie mocktail was delicious and very pretty. Unfortunately the food was incredibly disappointing. I m not sure if we ordered the wrong things. We had the salmon tartar to start, which was pretty good but was on salmon skin, which was too much for me and my husband. The octopus and mushrooms were doused in a bbq like sauce that was overpowering and not good. The scallops and the bread were the high point of the meal. The scallops were cooked nicely and the onion crisps were tasty. The chocolate chip cookies did not have enough sea salt and were just average. Overall did not feel like the food justified the cost. Would not recommend.

A true epicurean gem, a profound culinary experience. Chef has an exquisite gastronomical menu fueld by passion and culinary creativity that delivers layers of wholesome molecular flavor and exceptional plating that ignites the senses and delights the palete. The team of waiters ( more like menu connoisseurs ) presents each course with pride and passion. If you are in search of a culinary experience that will leave you in awe, put Georgie on your list.

Honestly, it s just the pricing. Two people and you are at 400 bucks. Loved the vibe. Food was great. But I thought it was just too much price gouging. Especially in Texas. I would expect this price in New York, but Dallas no way. In other words, this place is inaccessible and caters only to the trust funds and oil barons.

Went with a foodie group with a special menu. They do farm to table dishes. And try to not waste anything. For example the snapper tartare was how they used the last of their snapper. The basque cheese cake is awesome Food

High priced food demands good service and cleanliness. This is not a proper tasting menu experience. It seems the restaurant wants a combination of casual bar crowd as well as an elevated dining experience but it causes clashes. Multiple wait staff with dirty uniforms this was the start of the dinner service. So its not like they were dirty from the day they had pen marks and food stains that just overall looked like they havent been washed in a long time. It wasnt just one staff member but many. Change the uniform requirement if cleanliness is an issue with white uniforms. Once dinner rush hit the bar patrons overflowed and stood next to our table which kinda distracted the tasting menu with butts in our face. The loud music didnt help either. We had a gazpacho as the start of the meal and that same broth was reused for the himachi course. If it was a different broth then I couldnt tell the difference which is more of a problem in actuality. There was 3 green sauces. Where is the variety? It was my partners birthday and once she finished her first drink none of the wait staff asked if she would like another and an empty glass sat there for the remaining 5 courses. I spent $1000 for 3 tasting menus, 3 drinks (very overpriced cocktails for the quality) and caviar. Again. High priced food demands good service and cleanliness. If the pricing was different I would not be so brutal in my review I will never be back. I was embarrassed that I chose this place for my partners birthday.

Tonight was my first time dining at Georgie and I fully intend to come back. The service was everything I had hoped for and the food was better than I could have imagined. The flavors of the meals have been carefully considered, practiced and then expertly executed. The wine pairings were nearly perfect and it was a delight to experience new to me wines. The decor was very reminiscent of the 1960s yet managed to not feel dated, it just felt posh and an homage to another era. Thank you to our server Jessica, who not only was a wonderful server, but so very invested in giving us a wonderful evening and enjoying our reactions.

Why didn t your host or bartenders mention this when we walked in? Train your staff better. Is our money not good enough because we re not white ? We may look like we re from the streets, but our multiple degrees will say otherwise.

The food is absolutely spot on perfection. The service is excellent. Each bite is delightfully yummy. We had the salmon tartar (served on crispy salmon skin, simply brilliant), angnolotti (melt in your mouth pillows of goodness), mushrooms (might be the best I ve ever tasted) and pink snapper (super flavorful shiso pesto). Enjoyed the entire experience until the end when the bill came and was charged the 3% for their credit card fees. Seriously? Their food is delicious and the prices are steep enough to cover the cc charges.Don t cheapen the experience by passing along your CC cost as an additional charge.

Calling this a steakhouse is a misnomer. Had it been just that we would never have gone. It is so much more. The creativity and no compromise excellence led to a spectacular evening, How many times can I review? Another fantastic experience. We had the great fortune of being able to walk to this restaurant from our condo and we were able to get a table without a reservation at 7 on a Friday. That was our first score. This was one of the most unique and best restaurants I have had in the US. The bread with French butter was so good it was worth noting. The onion consommé defines the word savory. The duck breast, which came recommended by the chef, was absolutely sublime. I am a huge fan of duck and it s not often you can get it; get it here. You will not be disappointed. The agnolotti was rich and stuffed with flavor. Had the Cubano cocktail, which was very good as well. Overall, Georgie is elegant yet maintains casualness at the same time, in a very good way. You will not be overwhelmed by snobbery here. Just elegantly and richly prepared foods in good portions and good prices (for the level of fine dining attained).

My family and I went to Georgie last night and were slightly underwhelmed. Overall a positive experience but I expected a bit more. Drinks were good, the Georgie was a favorite at the table. Bread and butter had great flavor and came straight out of the oven. We ordered the octopus and the churros. Octopus dish didnt seem to go well together. The churros were also a bit underwhelming and lacked variety in texture. Kind of a soggy fresh fry. For dinner at the table we had the scallop dish which was elegantly presented but lacked the sear youd expect on a 50 dollar scallop dish. Also had a lot of butter which made it unnecessarily heavy. We also had the pasta dish which has the combination of butter, nuts and al dente pasta. My favorite dish of the night for sure. Also a bit heavy. The Pink Snapper was my least favorite dish. Unsure exactly what was happening with that dish but it didnt seem to go well together. Texture in the soupy broth didnt favor the fish. Pork Tenderloin was cooked well and I enjoyed the flavor. Overall 500 dollar bill for 4 people I expected more. Chocolate Tart for desert and that was great! Service and front of house were absolutely phenomenal and the interior design was also beautiful. Id go have drinks there but probably wouldnt have dinner.

I absolutely loved Georgie restaurant! It is exceptionally good, and Chef RJ, who hails from the French Laundry, brings his culinary expertise to every dish. If you have the chance to dine there, I highly recommend ordering the French onion soup, the gorgeous scallops ( almost too pretty to eat), the trout, tuna tartare, agnolotti and bread yes the bread is INSANE. The ambience at Georgie is super sexy, with beautiful people and a super chic atmosphere. They are really pushing the boundaries and creating some incredible culinary experiences. I am thrilled that the chef has made the move to Dallas, as it brings a much-needed addition to the citys dining scene. Not only is the food outstanding, but the service at Georgie is top-notch as well. Oh, and if you happen to visit for brunch, make sure to order the chicken and waffles. It is next level. Trust me, youll thank me later! Also, the restaurant is a HUGE supporter of local farms and artisans.

Got the tasting menu to sample things. I felt like by far the best dish was the Sweet Corn Agnolotti. It was rich, creamy, and savory with crunchy bits on top. I could eat that every day. The Ribeye was a wonderfully cooked steak and I loved the Brocolini that went with it (I thought it was better than the potatoes). The Pink Snapper was a great fish dish with a nice crisp potato crust and a light lemon sauce. If you are going there, Id highly recommend those dishes.

Food was amazing. My family and I came for a late lunch on Sunday and they were able to squeeze us in without a reservation. I often go to Knox Bistro and La Bilbouqet (the sister restaurants to Georgie). This was my first time here and Im so glad I finally tried it. Recommendations would be the burger, the roast beef, chicken and waffles, and the blueberry marscapone french toast. Delicious brunch place. They also have a wonderful market to select meats. The bloody mary comes with an oyster and caviar which was a nice surprise!!

Great service and well-executed dishes support some welcome creativity in the Dallas dining scene for a seasonally evolving menu thats worth more than one visit. The beverage program also shines, with great cocktail service, and sound guidance through a solid old world selection of wines. All this commands higher pricing, but the value for a fine dining experience is excellent. I would order the Stracciatella, Pork Chop and Wagyu Coulotte again, but will be back to try more of the menu.

Atmosphere makes this place. The food was underwhelming for any restaurant of this scale. Had the Bluefin appetizer which was above average. Smoke presentation however lacked a heightened depth of flavor Id expect from a raw fish dish, good texture and presentation. 2nd course was red snapper which was a miss. Cooked well although a crust would have enhanced. The sauce pairing worked well however very acidic while lacking Salty. Final order was the wagyu coulette steak which while a leaner cut and cooked perfectly mid rare still was too chewy and tough to enjoy. The staff was attentive and kind enough to swap for tritip which hit on all the marks. Overall a bit underwhelmed by a Curtis Stone named restaurant. Hope it was just an off night. Staff was amazing and drinks were excellent!

Beautiful restaurant with superior hospitality, true service and some of the best food in town. The house baked warm bread and French butter service set the tone for the elegant food to follow. We sat at the bar for cocktails, famed charcuterie, house sausage and tasty snacks. The ramp salumi is one of my favorite bites I ve ever had in Dallas. The bartender was creative, knowledgeable and kept us happy while staying clear of our private conversation. A great experience. I can t wait to go back.

I came here some time back and got the Tasting menu, Here are my thoughts. The ambiance: The restaurant is in a nice location with plenty to see. The interior is a bit cramped but still nice. The food: we got the tasting menu which was excellent. The dishes were very well crafted and mostly all came with an excellent touch. The new Zealand butter is served to all and is excellent. the tasting menu dishes were very well selected. We chose to also add on the tartare which was an excellent dish, I would highly recommend it. The main course was the steak which was well presented and paired with a nice side. The desert was phenomenal as were the appetizers. Overall: I very much enjoyed Georgie and a taste of Georgie was a well priced menu that was filled with excellent dishes and nice palette cleansers. All in all our total came to about 110 a head and was well worth it. Georgie is so far one of the best menus I have had to opportunity to have in Dallas.

With Curtis Stones name, you just expect more! Basic menu with basic offerings. Nice wine list. Beautifully furnished with subdued lighting. Though small and crammed with French Banquette seating (that I despise) and a few booths. If you were standing at the bar, the person seated behind you at the banquette couldnt get up! Only PEI Oysters available! Exceptional Chestnut Agnolotti. Had it as an appetizer and then again as dessert! Soft, tender, pillowy with a luscious cream sauce We had Pink Snapper and Black Cod (Well try the meats next time!). Both were perfectly cooked but you just expect more than a piece of fish with pepper or fried Brussel sprouts! We had the creamed Endive as a side. It was silky and delicious. -Manager, note on customer service and couth: We called earlier to make sure Chestnut Agnolotti was on the menu for the night and the hostess corrected my wifes pronunciation: AgnolOtti, not AgnolEtti! We arrived 17 mins late to our 5:30pm reservation due to traffic and unfamiliarity with downtown! Hostess made a point to inform us that you have a 15min grace period policy and that we would have to wait! We opted to sit at the bar and forgo our reservation! Just uncouth for this level an operation.

As good as the entrees and desserts were, the hero of the meal was the bread and butter service. Freshly prepared and baked individually, it was the best bread I ve had at a restaurant, hands down. Atmosphere was more fun than fancy, with higher-energy music and a louder bar scene, but overall it still felt like an elegant night out.

The dishes were insanely delicious and beautiful. The corn pasta was the best Ive ever tasted! The salmon too! The curry was so good! And the bread..omg! Everything else was beyond expectations! We had to go back the next day, lol because it was that good. We had 4 desserts total in our two visits and the pavolva is the most delicious in my opinion. Also the cocktails and wine are unbelievably tasty! The Pino noir and egg white cocktail were so yummy! Thank you Georgie! It was the best of times, it was the worst of times . . . it s definitely a tale of two restaurants: THE GOOD: 1) I called ahead and asked them if they could make steak tartare for my wife and I. We have it every year for our anniversary. They accommodated our request and it was the best steak tartare I ve ever had. 2) My wife and I ordered the 5 course tasting menu and almost everything was delicious. 3) Course 2 Green Curry Salmon was amazing. I really didn t think things could get any better after that course. 4) Course 3 Pasta with Ricotta Cheese was the absolute best bite of food I had the entire evening. It is truly life changing. 5) Course 5 Dessert included Panna Cotta with Lychee and Toasted Coconut. It was also outstanding. THE BAD: 1) Course 1 We were given a charcuterie board. None of the meats were exceptional. No cheeses, olives, or any other additions except for some pickled vegetables. 2) Course 4 The NY Strip with not very tender or seasoned well. It did have a nice crust. The creamed corn was delicious, but the roasted potatoes felt like they belonged with a breakfast hash, not with a fine steak. Just my $0.02 THE EXPERIENCE: My wife and I had reservations for 7PM. We arrived and our table wasn t ready, so we went to the bar and ordered some drinks. We were seated in about 15 minutes or so. Once seated, our server was very attentive. She took our order and told my wife that the steak tartare is being prepared. They are even trying to finalize it and add it to their menu. If you get a chance to try it, I strongly recommend you order it. We also ordered the 5-course tasting menu. The charcuterie board came out first. We were surprised that it was one of the courses. When I order (and pay) for a 5 course tasting menu, I expect 5 courses prepared in the kitchen. I felt cheated that they put some meats on a tray and delivered it to us and called it course #1. I would have expected something with a bit more finesse and preparation (like everything else that was delivered). The charcuterie board was very underwhelming. Honestly, I can t even remember a single item that was on it. The rest of the tasting menu was really good. The only part I didn t completely enjoy was the NY Strip. But, everything else was amazing. Here s the tale of two restaurants. At 7PM when we arrived, the restaurant appeared to be around 70% capacity. There was room to move around and our waitress was quite attentive. Around 8:15, the restaurant got very crowded and I would guess around 120% more people than they should have had in there. Our service went downhill very quickly. I ordered a 2nd glass of wine which never arrived. Water service was much slower. Food came out slower. From 7PM till 8PM, we thought this would be our favorite restaurant of all time. After that time, it was hot, crowded, and uncomfortable. My wife even mentioned at one point that her feet were sweating. We couldn t get out of there fast enough. Once we stepped outside, we felt much better and it was cooler than inside. Mind you, it was 85+ degrees outside at this time, but with a slight breeze, it felt much better than inside. I think when they cram that many people into the restaurant and everyone is at 98.6 degrees, there s no way for the air conditioning to keep up. I completely understand wanting as many customers as possible. But, our experience was so bad, that we probably won t go back. That is very unfortunate, because I ate some of the absolute best food of my life last night, but when the service and atmosphere noticeably gets that terrible, I just wanted to leave as soon as possible.

Portions were ridiculously small and stingy for the prices. When the tab came to the table we were charged for something they brought out as an apology for forgetting to bring out something else AND they had put the dessert they brought out because it was a bday dinner. We had not requested it so why would we pay for it? Our server did remove those items from the bill but only because we pointed it out. He stated the manager had put them on the bill.....my husband has worked in very high end dining for a long time and the only way that was put on our tab was by the server. I think he figured some of the women in the group were tipsy(which they werent) and wouldnt notice. The food is good(what you get of it) but I would never return here.

Had a surprise birthday dinner for my wife at Georgie. The entire staff made it a memorable night! Our server, Robert, was excellent, and very attentive. He suggested the perfect cocktail for my wife, which came topped with a smoke bubble (see pics). We shared the prawns and burata appetizers- both were good, though I liked the prawns better than the burata - the bluberry jam coalesced into an inky sauce that was too sweet with the cheese and a bit off-putting. For mains, my wife had the turbot - perfectly cooked and served piping hot, and I had the wagyu coulotte. The coulotte was tasty, especially with the chimichuri. The knife service via D.J. was a fun addition to the service. Potato roasties on the side were hot and crunchy - too much to finish, but we enjoyed them later after taking most in a to-go container. For dessert, they brought a caramel torte with whiskey ice cream and a birthday candle (see pic). My mouth waters just thinking of that desert! A bottle of HG III was a perfect complement to both the steak and fish. We will be back soon! Vegetarian options: A few vegetarian options - agnolotti, and sides of asparagus, creamed corn, mushrooms, and those delicious potato roasties. But this is truly a restaurant for carnivores. Dietary restrictions: Our server inquired immediately about any dietary restrictions or food allergies, which I appreciated. Parking: Parking in the adjacent Travis Walk garage is free and easy, and valet is available too.

We ordered drinks at the bar while we waited for our friends and the bartenders were busy but still took the time to give their full attention to us! The waitress took us through a culinary experience and we trusted her recommendations. The burratta and sausage were perfect appetizers and the house bread was epic. The boys enjoyed their steaks and the cook was perfect. I had the stripped bass and scallops and the flavor was delicious. The wine sommelier was able to recommend a great bottle of champagne. I give the food five stars and the ambiance , but the seating process was no fun. We went on a random Tuesday 2 weeks ago and we got there about 15 mins early knowing that we would probably have to wait a bit to be seated. They told us we would have to wait at the bar, which is fine, but when we looked around the restaurant it was not even halfway full. Our reservation was at 8 pm. 8:30 pm came and we were still waiting, no longer with the same spirit of patience as before, obviously. When we asked for an explanation, the manager said they had to slow the kitchen down...which honestly makes no sense to me as it seems like if the restaurant is half full and the kitchen cant keep up with that amount of people then they probably shouldnt be slowing down at all. All in all that created a less than stellar experience for us.
