Went during the slow hours (between 2-4). Server was nice, food took forever even tho we were basically the only ones there. Server said let me go check to see if they killed that cow yet cause it shouldnt take long to make some asada nachos. Which I def agreed lol asada was good but definitely not enough with all the dry nacho chips that it came with and for the price that it was but its okay, but yeah it was mediocre or whatevs :p

As a result they played music during the game so no TV sound. Music was more important. We spoke to the manager, excuses made as to why they couldn t play sound on the TV I thought this was a sports bar for sports fans. They have much to learn about who their customers are, I won t be back or the large group I was with

The guy they had bartending on a Friday night in the same courtyard as the AAC exit, during/after a Stars playoff game, literally could not be paid to move any slower. When you have a bartender who is actively losing sales, you have a problem. Especially from women the others of whom were in a different group than mine and didn t know me. Two corners and full side of the bar complaining about how slow this guy moves. There s no way he didn t hear any complaints; he didn t feign an attempt to be more friendly or pick up a pace. I was a bartender for too long to leave a review of one under normal circumstances, so to leave a negative one is really to have left me dumbfounded. There aren t a ton of choices around there, but there are others. We ll go to those moving forward with season tickets.

We stopped in before a hockey game so it was definitely busy. The restaurant and open seating bar areas were awesome, and the service was fantastic. When we got a table in the restaurant it was a lot faster than expected which was awesome. Our server Tyler was fantastic. My husband had the steak nachos. I didnt get pictures of the nachos but my husband said they were great, he just wished there was a little more steak for the price. I had the breakfast tacos but was pretty disappointed. The scrambled eggs were a flat disc on the tortilla, and unfortunately were pretty bland. its possible I didnt get much out of them because of the way they were prepared as a flat disc rather than the traditional way of making them. The red potatoes, star of this taco, were unfortunately the most disappointing, they were cooked just fine but severely lacking in any kind of flavor. Maybe if they were smashed (not mashed or whole) and seasoned they would have been better. The Cheesey Grits however were great, best part of my meal by far and I ended up adding some onto the taco to give it some flavor. I did let Tyler know about my confusion on the eggs and to his credit, he offered to have some made how I was expecting. I did decline mainly because from what I had tasted already I didnt want to wait for unseasoned/bland scrambled eggs. I will say Im not the type to send food back because I hate wasting food and would only ask for that if my order came out completely wrong. All that being said I would certainly visit again but would avoid those tacos and try the strawberry cheesecake waffles cause those really sounded delicious

Had a very bad experience here yesterday. Upon arrival we were told that the wait for a table was minimum 1 hr and it could go up, however, there was open seating in a certain area of the venue while we wait. So we proceeded to that area after getting a drink at the bar. The place was packed with standing room only, so when we saw some seats open up, we tried to sit down. A waitress came by and said You can t sit here, I m seating people here. And walked off really quickly. We were confused and just wanted to make sure we were in the right area and we were hoping she could point us in the right direction. She walked past us 3 times pointedly ignoring us asking her clarifying questions. So on the third time, my sister (who was thinking maybe it was just too loud in the restaurant) reached out and touched the waitress s shoulder Excuse me ma am I just wanted to ask if the waitress cuts her off mid sentence and snaps I heard you, DONT TOUCH ME! We were all wide-eyed and stunned. The whole time, the waitress knew it was open seating but she was trying to hold the seats for some friends. In the meantime some random people came over and sat in the seats anyway. Because it s open seating!!! But because the waitress knew she wasn t supposed to stop us from sitting like she did, she was ignoring our questions purposefully and then made a HUGE deal out of my sis touching her shoulder as she walked by. It was wild. None of us knew what to say. And she lost the seats anyway because she knew she couldn t tell a second group they couldn t sit. I will say that the manager came over and spoke to us because another member of the staff saw the whole thing and told him about it. He immediately sat us at a table on the opposite end of the venue where there was supposed to be an hour wait. Lol But, we definitely felt placated as if we were the problem. There was no attempt by the manager to address the waitress s behavior. Just wanted to share the crazy experience.

I had been looking forward to checking this place out for months. An HG Supply (adjacent) restaurant closer to my side of town sounded like a dream. Today we finally had the chance. Upon viewing the menu I realized that the food wasn t as clean or accommodating as HG supply. It was my own fault for not having taken a closer look at the menu before our visit, but our waitress seemed clearly annoyed when I asked if they had any dairy free cheese and what kind of oil was used for frying. I ordered the poke bowl and it came out 5 minutes before my husband s burger. My husband enjoyed his burger but the white rice in my bowl was cold and hard. I kept biting into these dense crumbly chunks that turned out to be stale wasabi peas. I think the peas could have maintained their crisp if they were sprinkled on top directly before serving, but as it was, the white rice, peas and seaweed salad seemed to have been all refrigerated together in this bowl buried under the salmon and sauce. I was beyond disappointed and dissatisfied with my meal and service for the price here. I cannot reccomend this location.

A friend and I flew in from South Carolina for the Mavs/Thunder game 2/10/24. Planned this trip 4 months in advance, and just happened to catch the best game of the season (so far). We were only in town for the weekend, but hung out here for much of it. Nachos were A++. The chips are made in house, and it was a very generous portion that fed both of us. The drinks are also A++. Great Bloody Marys (also made in house), great Margaritas, Old Fashion, and a great Negroni. And of course, a great selection of beer. Very reasonable prices for everything. Also, fantastic bathrooms.

When we did get sat the service was really friendly and the waitress was pretty speedy but the food took forever and we only had 15 minutes to eat before we had to go. Was at the AAC for a Stars game and stopped here for an appetizer and dinner before the game. The game day crowd had not yet started coming in so we were seated pretty easily. Our server came to the table with waters, asked if we needed time before ordering. Never introduced herself. She took our order and disappeared. Our appetizers were delivered quickly by a rubber/busser. Our server stopped by a couple of minutes later and I asked for side plates as our food wasnt a finger food. We ordered our main meal at this time. The runner/busser appeared magically as soon as we finished our app and asked to remove the used plates from the table and and how it tasted. At this point we had more impact by the busser than our server. The protein bowls were good but again our server never checked to learn that. After dinner I checked the mens room it was well stocked and clean. If not for the busser/runner the service is a 1-star and I would have left the tip for them instead of letting the server think she earned it, she didnt

Popcorn chicken had a nice crunch and crispy exterior and tender juicy chicken inside. The deluxe burger was damn good. Im 53, and just from what I remember I believe this was the 3rd worst dining experience I have ever encountered. The food was just basic bar type food. Not too much to complain about with it. Our server was Raven. She hardly ever came by to check on us. I requested a tea refill and some sauce for my dry chicken sandwich and she cleaned 6 tables off and closed out the other 2 tables in our area and still nothing. My wife had to request again. Then before we were done eating she asked if we could go ahead and pay because she was going to the Stars game. At which she closed us out and grabbed her purse and left. Now the music .. we heard over and over the most graphic hip hop songs that could possibly be played. To each their own but not in a family atmosphere in public. Could t imagine this place is managed well. Last time we will visit. Probably won t last much longer.

I would ve given this place fewer stars if I could have. My burger looked like it had been sitting under a hot lamp for hours, service was atrocious even though the place was 1/3 full. We had to wave down our waitress for drink refills and to order (20 minutes after finishing our appetizer keep in mind this place was empty). Will not be returning

Was here for the Jake Paul vs Nate Diaz fight. Atmosphere was great. Came twice Fri and Sat. Fri wasnt busy maybe 5 people total at bar area, my girlfriend and I had 1 drink each due to bartender not checking on us for over 20 minutes and bartender not there most of the time to flag her down. Saturday was great and the new bartender this time was attentive and present and made experience very good. I averaged out the review. Great location, great atmosphere and 2nd experience was great.

Went to brunch this past Sunday with my gal pals and we had a ball! We ordered the strawberry MegaMosa and that set the tone for the day! It s a giant mimosa that requires at least a party of 3 people to be ordered. It did exactly what we needed it to do! So delicious! we then ordered queso to start this brunch off properly! For my main course, I ordered the French toast and egg white omelet with veggies! It came with breakfast potatoes, tomato slices and a salad. The chimichurri sauce in the omelet was perfect. The food was seasoned well and not over salted. The music was soulful and chill. There are so many tv s playing every type of sport your heart desires. The waitstaff was friendly and very accommodating. The restrooms were clean and smelled nice. From entry to exit this place was a 10 out of 10! We definitely will add this place to our brunch rotation! This restaurant is all people friendly! Last but not least, they validate parking for the nearby parking decks! Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options! You can also sub items to be more vegetarian and health conscious. Parking: Park in the South Victory parking garage and take your ticket with you. The hostess will validate upon exit.

Came here to watch the Stars game and atmosphere was incredible. Very fratty vibes (at least on this night) so be prepared and/or stay away if that s not your thing. Since it was a semi-final game, it was packed so you ll have to come early to secure seating. Not sure what it s like on a typical day. Despite being crowded, server was very attentive and came by frequently to check in on us. Nachos were nothing special but they have beer towers at a reasonable price. Huge screen to watch the game. Live DJ added to the atmosphere. On big game days, you won t be able to hear/converse with your party fyi. Parking is difficult to find. Ended up paying $10 to park in the underground garage connected to Tom Thumb

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Bar Hero by HG with a group of my buddies, just an hour before the big playoff Stars game. I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed with our experience considering how packed the place was. The service was prompt and friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious. Our group of five was well accommodated and we had a great time enjoying our meal before the game. I highly recommend Bar Hero by HG to anyone looking for a great dining experience before heading to an event at AAC or just because!

My husband and I went to our first Mavericks game recently, and we decided to try Hero for brunch before heading into the arena. This place has a fun, festive atmosphere. Brunch is served on the weekends from 10am to 3pm. The brunch menu included a few non-breakfast items, and a few drink specials. The service was fast and friendly. The food was tasty and our bill was a fraction of what one would pay inside (especially for alcohol). I recommend stopping here for your pre or post game celebrations.

To go order: took over 30 minutes and 4 attempts to get someone to answer the phone. Finally had a hostess get someone to pick up the phone. Food was cold, fried crab was soggy and didn t give me the correct side dish. Check your order before leaving! Restaurant should consider a phone platform that allows them to track how long calls go unanswered, how many times a call comes in from the same number within a designated timeframe. Establish benchmarks for better customer experience.

Im leaving a 1 star review because of how I was treated after I had to cancel a reservation for the private room. Lacy is the person who handles the reservations and the person I was communicating with. The reservation was on Saturday and unfortunately we had several people say that they couldnt come on Wednesday. I emailed Lacy Wednesday evening to let her know that we would no longer be able to keep our reservation because there is a $1000 drink/food minimum and 4 of our paying adults could no longer join us. Two of them had COVID. This was her exact response to me at 7am Thursday after I read her response and asked if she thought it would be too busy for my party to just walk in and eat without a reservation: Good morning, That is unfortunate since we have already staffed for your event and did have other leads for the same space this evening which were turned away. Looking over your contract, I do only have you contracted for 20 guests for however I will go ahead and release the space. Although there is no concert at AAC Saturday night, there is Disney on Ice and its also March Madness so I would anticipate it being pretty busy. After this response I told her that I couldnt control peoples personal reasons for not being able to attend. I also asked her if the booths were still available to reserve and she never responded to me. I guess she was that upset because I cancelled. I cancelled the reservation in an acceptable amount of time so Im not sure what her problem was with me. Half of our party was teenagers and children under 12. Losing 4 paying adults from my party would have required my husband and I to pay around $500 or more out of our own packets and thats insane. Lacy didnt care though. We have booked a new reservation at a kinder establishment that doesnt require a $1000 food and drink minimum.
