The orange chicken was really good, I had fried rice instead of white. I added a little soy sauce for more flavor. The country fried chicken was huge, but was over cooked and flavorless. The batter tasted like flour. The chicken was tough, and not much flavor, either. We ordered mac-n-cheese as one of the sides, but was just got buttered macaroni. A nice place, with a quaint atmosphere. Our server was the only one, bartending, also, but she handled her tables quickly. We really wanted catfish, but they were out.

Was recommended here by the hotel next door for breakfast since I am staying without a car. I ordered pancakes and bacon. The bacon was cooked to perfection but the pancakes were still doughy inside. Definitely will not eat here again. I been here almost an hour and was the only patron here until someone with a seminar came to setup. They would definitely be a great assets to this area if they hired a better cook and do some updates the restaurant.

I had the meat and cheese omelet with potatoes. They brought the dish to the table and I noticed that the cheese wasnt melted on top of the omelet. They took it back to the kitchen and returned it with the cheese melted. The omelet was cooked right, without the egg getting dried out. Folded inside were nice chunks of sausage and ham. Each bite brought forth strings of melted cheese. Nice job! The potatoes were not cooked all of the way. They werent horrible. They just lacked that soft, velvety texture that a properly cooked pan potato should have. They were spiced nicely with some caramelized onion and red bell pepper. One distraction was their use of a large grain salt when seasoning. The salt was prominent enough that it crunched with every chew, adding to the under cooked stiffness of the potatoes. Their menu was diverse. Ill go back and check out some more dishes in the future. *They do serve chicken fried steak during lunch, but you cant get a CFS and eggs for breakfast.

I stopped by this restaurant for lunch a second time since it s just minutes away from my job. I had the chicken fried chicken with three sides (mac n cheese, corn, and mashed potatoes). The chicken was breaded to perfection, resulting in a delicious crunch when cut. Tbh, thats probably the best chicken fried chicken Ive ever had. I ll definitely be back.

We are staying at the candlewood suites in Dallas Tx and the burgers were good, but the hot wings and onion rings had a bad taste due to the oil. I called and spoke with manager. Hopefully they will make sure to fry in fresh oil.

The waitresses are not there to service minorities. They were more worried about the Cartel mesican belles that were there which equaled a big gratuity come up. The food was tasteful but the fried rice was hard, wet, and sweet. Did I mention it had far too many vegetables? I ordered the 3 chicken egg rolls for $9 and only received TWO. I DO NOT understand why this place has a 4.5 rating. They charge you money for swiping your card, for example I ordered shrimp fried (16.99)rice and chicken (13.99) one Dr Pepper and egg rolls. The total came out to be $51. The old Hispanic waitress had the audacity to ask for her tip when I never got the right food. I left the restaurant with two eggrolls because they never came back to the table with the third one. That was my first and last time eating here. SERVICE SUCKS AT THIS RESTAURANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is a nice place for lunch, the food is delicious and nice portions and a nice place to have a beer. Ive only been during lunch time, not too busy but do keep in mind your lunch time. Ive ordered the club sandwich and the grilled chicken sandwich w/ bacon. They have a variety of dishes from home cooking to Asian cuisine. They have a small stage so they might have karaoke or live music on certain days. Nice bar and selection of alcohol. Its a good place to have lunch, the food is delicious and good portions and a good place to have a chevé. Ive only been during lunch time, Im not too busy, but be aware of lunch time. I found this place looking up stuff on google maps. The pics of food looked amazing and most of the reviews were great so I decided to give it a try. It was pretty slow night so I was kinda nervous about what to expect. We were greeted by Grazel and she was nice. The menu had lots of options and everything sounded good. We decided to try the lemon pepper wings. They were hot and the flavor was good and they were crispy. We also got the Salisbury steak with green beans and macaroni. The Salisbury steak was good with the gravy but it could ve used a little more seasoning. The Mac and cheese was on point. The green beans were bland. The honey chicken and fried rice was excellent! I d come back and try more food from this place! Service was good and food was good! I d recommend this place.

Canned corn is not my jam, but I heard certain regions prefer it. I am pretty sure the mashed potatoes were the boxed version as well. The chickens tenders and macaroni were great, though! The service was the best of all. I was so grateful to get to meet and speak to the bartender while I was there. She is a beautiful soul, and I would make a point to come back only at the chance to see her again.

The food was delectable, and the waitstaff was accommodating. However, the dining room ambiance was disturbed due to the loud conversations among the staff. One of the chefs even had a boisterous phone conversation about invoice problems with a vendor. We are new to the area and found this place. I recommend the sign out front to be updated it didnt stand out as a restaurant. As soon as we walked in, we were told to sit where wed like. We sat at a booth, and the smell of dirty wash cloth smell was strong. I wanted to move to another seating area, but I noticed it wouldnt help since the smell was all around. On the plus side, they do have a bar. We may try this on another day. I ordered the chicken fried steak, and when it was served, my eyes were amazed at the portion of food served, amazing! I was sure I needed a to go box, but i was so hungry I ate everything. Then I forgot about the smell. This reminded me of a diner. When we arrived, we made eye contact with our waitress, and she rudely said, WHAT? After sitting, she ruffly removed the menu from my friends hand and said, This is not for you When the food arrived everything looked good but when I was going to give a bite into my food I saw a HAIR !!! Our waitress Reace was super friendly and helpful with the food selection. She s a keeper for Walter. This was the first time visiting and was pleasantly surprised by the friendly atmosphere and the food was delicious. It s a must try and we will be back! Fantastic food! We ordered food to go since we were staying at the hotel next door and they had their menu in the hotel lobby. Did not disappoint. The chicken strips with their wing sauce was everything we were wanting it to be. The side of green beans and mashed potatoes were like home cooking and the white gravy was the best I ve had in a very long time. The chicken lomein was also a hit and tasted super fresh. 5/5!

Had a great all-round experience at supper tonight. Walter s is bright, clean, and has a great vibe. Staff was beyond friendly, and the food was fresh and flavorful. We found Waltters when we arrived at our hotel. So glad we did. The food was excellent and the service was great too. We had American the first night and Asian the second. Both were delicious. Give it a try. Youll be glad you did.
